Chapter Text
The storm got worse. The sky was filled with clouds and the dim light from the moons could barely be seen. A small blue dragon with webbed talons flies through the storm, unaware of her fate. 'Hurry, the others are waiting' dew thought, she could feel the bright red egg she carried move ever so slightly as she balances herself in the air, the rain making it harder for her to fly. Little did she know, a pair of obsidian eyes watched her in the distance. She could hear the sounds of wings flapping through the raindrops "get her!" A deep and husky voice says and dew felt herself get pinned down, shards of rocks digging into her scales, and saw a tall, bark brown and black dragon standing in front of her "well, it seems we have an unwanted guest" wilddog says glaring at the much smaller dragon. "Sir, the seawing was carrying this" a much smaller pale dragon says, holding the red egg "oh? A skywing egg? Surely serval would never send someone to take an egg. Let alone a skywing egg. You must be one of those stupid talons of hope dragons, right?" Wilddog asks, hissing at the end "d-don't hurt that egg! T-they will save the world!" Dew shrieks "this little egg will stop me? Ha!" Wilddog toys with the egg, much to dew's horror. "This egg is due to hatch on the brightest night 7 days from now correct?" Wilddog snarles as dew looks even more terrified. "So, if i were drop this egg, the prophecy wouldn't happen?" Wilddog taunts the shivering seawing "y-you wouldn't dare!" Dew growls as wilddog 'accidentally' drops the egg at the edge of the cliff "woops, I'm so clumsy" he sarcastically says, grabbing dew just as she tries to fly after the egg "NO!" dew yells tears streaming down the eyes. "You know what i do to traitors?" He hisses. Dew knew exactly what he was planning, if she was correct she'd never see dove or blackice again "hope...will always win" she says before a sickening *CRACK* can be heard as wilddog snaps her neck. "Hope doesn't always win petty dragon" wilddog growls under his breath, tossing the seawing's body down the same cliff.
