I lied on Leviathan’s bathtub. It’s certainly unconventional, but it’s comfortable. I scroll through devilgram and look up at Leviathan gaming occasionally. Though I can’t see his full face from here, I can see a little bit of his concentrated face. It’s so cute. I smile to myself and continue scrolling. After Leviathan wins, he enthusiastically yells and looks over to me.
“I finally won that stage! It took forever!” Leviathan beams.
“Good job, Levi! You’re so good at games.”
“Well, you’re not too bad either. Obviously not on my level, though,”
I start to laugh.
“Levi, you’re so cute.” I smile.
“C..cute?” He says to himself and turns away.
“Mhm..” I say to reassure him.
He doesn’t say much more, but I peek a look and his face is red.
I’ve always had a thing for Levi. At first, he wasn’t too fond of me, but we quickly became friends. I like anime and games too, so we’re a perfect match. He teaches me TSL lore, and I get to listen him talk about something he loves. He even bought a pink controller for when I game in his room. He’s so nice and considerate and is incredible at sewing. He’s even sewn me a cosplay for Henry! I wore it to a convention we went to.
We’ve been to other places, too. One time we went to an aquarium. Leviathan taught me all about the fish, and I thought it was very cute. I couldn’t help but stare at him the entire time.. It’s a good thing he didn’t notice, though. Otherwise, things would be very weird. We’re best friends, after all. He repeats that all the time. Not that I mind being friends with him. I enjoy every second we spend. Though I can’t help but want more with him.. I want to be there for him. I want to cuddle him and hold his hand. I want to do quote-on-quote ‘normie’ things with him!
I’m not quite sure how he feels for me. It’s complicated, he sends me mixed signals. He does get easily flustered with compliments I give him, but maybe he’s just not used to them, and doesn’t know how to react? And he always calls me his true friend... But the glances he gives me, is that how friends look at each other?
As I ponder that question in my head, I look over at Leviathan and his hands. I think I’ll be bold this time.
“Leviathan, you’re so skilled. I like it when you teach me new things. I enjoy all the time we spend together. It makes me want to be with you forever… but maybe that’s too selfish of me,” I second guess myself at the end.
Levi’s orange eyes turn to me.
“Selfish? Not at all! You always think of others,” He smiles.
“..Thank you, Levi.”
“And…I..I wouldn’t mind if you stayed with me forever,” He murmurs.
“Eh? What did you say?” I ask.
“Nothing!” He quickly turns around.
…My attempts at flirting aren’t working. He thinks I’m just being nice. How do I do this?? I don’t want to scare him off..
“I’ll be right back, Leviathan. I’m just going to get something.”
“Don’t be gone for too long!” Levi says.
“Don’t worry, I’d never leave you, Levi.”
“...” Levi.exe has shut down.
As I leave his room, I go to my room to reveal the secret weapon. I bought him an exclusive "The Magical Ruri Hana: Demon Girl" fanbook, which includes a rare Ruri-chan keychain. It’s been hard to find, and not even Leviathan got it. He tried to, but he didn’t win the lottery. I spent days trying to find a seller, and this did cost me a pretty penny. But it’s okay, I know he’ll love it. His smile is worth it.
I wrap the book in purple wrapping paper and tie an orange ribbon around it.
I put a tag addressed to Levi, and put pink hearts around his name.
I then go back into his room and hide the present behind my back.
“I actually went to bring you a present,”
I show him the present, and his face is gleaming.
“Eh?? For.. for me!?” Leviathan smiles.
“Oh, (Y/N)! You’re amazing!” He praises.
“I hope you like it,” I say.
He carefully opens the package, sees the book cover, and instantly freaks out.
“Seriously! You found this!? How!! I’ve been trying to track it down for a while!”
“Magic!” I wave my hands around.
“You went to this length for me…?” He smiles.
“Of course! I…” I hesitate.
“You mean so much to me, Leviathan. So much. Truthfully, I just wanted to see your smile,”
Leviathan gasps and his face turns red.
“(Y/N)!! Thank you!!” He goes to hug me.
“I’ll make this up, I promise,” He says.
“What? It was a gift. I don’t need anything back,” I say.
He lets go of the hug and blushes.
“You’re… you’re amazing, (Y/N). My true friend.”
“True friend..” I say.
I can’t take it anymore. We’ve been dancing around this for too long. I need to tell him how I feel.
“Can I tell you something, Levi?”
“Of course.” He puts the book on his desk.
“There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you for a long time, and I just haven’t found the right occasion for it.”
He looks at me.
“You see.. The truth is.. I like you more than a friend. I love you, Levi. So much.” I say.
I look at him, and he’s smiling so much, with a red face.
“I..I…I lo..I love you too, (Y/N)!”
He goes in for a hug, but this time squeezes me tighter.
“I’ve felt like this for a while, too. I just didn’t want to ruin our friendship, and have everything awkward…But..now, I feel..”
“Will you be mine, (Y/N)..?” He whispers.
“I’ll be yours happily.” I pull away from the hug and caress his face.
I then kiss him lovingly, half expecting him to pull away. But instead, he goes closer to me and kisses me back.
“I’ve never done this before.. And I never thought I would do this with you..” Leviathan says.
“To be honest, I never felt like I deserved you. You, so sweet, and kind.. What do I have to offer..?” Levi sighs.
“Levi, you can’t be serious. There’s so much about you that I love!” I reassure him.
“And if you don’t believe me, Levi.. I guess I’ll have to show you my feelings,” I say slyly.
“Ehh!? You don’t mean…”
“Only when you’re ready for it, Levi.”
“Please…” Levi begs.
“Of course, my love.” I smile.
