Listeners, if you recall last time we spoke I talked about another strange visitor to Night Vale.
This newcomer introduced himself as The Great Detective – and says we are to capitalize the “The.” He says he has come here from Victorian London – very likely through the old oak doors that sometimes stand on the edge of the sand waste, we’ve been having some time anomalies out there lately. He is a tall man who wears a houndstooth overcoat and a black silk top-hat, neon green trousers, and a T-shirt that says “Visit Lake Havasu.”
Well, listeners, it seems The Great Detective has found a place to stay. Juan Armisen, who recently returned from service in the Blood Space War, is letting The Great Detective stay with them in the Dumpster behind the Desert Flower Bowling Alley and Arcade Fun Complex. Juan provides security for the bowling alley owner Teddy Williams, and the Great Detective is very interested in exploring the miniature city beneath Lane 5.
The Great Detective says he is looking for crimes to solve in Night Vale. So if any of my listeners have committed any felonies or misdemeanors and don’t want to bother the Sheriff’s Secret Police about them, all you have to do is stand by the dumpster and say loudly, “I’m not here to go bowling.”
