stone was worried.
very worried.
after the accident, some sort of parasite had managed to enter the wound that was on their chest. they knew what would happen, and thinking about scenarios would not help them at all.
"hey stone, i know that you are probably in aching pain right now, but i know the surgery probably help alot."
abstracty was not good with words, especially in times like these, but at least stone knew they cared. stone could feel the parasite wriggling inside of them, hiding behind their organs until the very words abstracty said. that was its que. it started ripping at stones useless stomach, putting stone in pain. alot of pain. it than started making a tube to where the mouth would be, and than cutting through, reshaping the "skin", adding teeth and a tongue, and before stone was prepared the parasite had done what it wanted. now the parasite was off to control the new mouth it had made.
"uh, stone, why do you look so... uh... scared?"
the parasite was working quickly, and stone didnt have much time left. the parasite was making its own brain and soon the mouth would be functional. stone signed "back away please, its going to hurt you. there is a parasite inside of me" but abstracty just shrugged it off as a joke. stone than noticed the bandages moving, the parasite was done. there was no time left. "please, it will hurt you" stone signed again. before abstracty could do anything, the mouth started breaking the bandages, startling the shapeshifter. "im sorry, i tried to warn you" stone signed again. it was too late as the mouth kept destroying the bandages until it was free. stone tried to hide the new bellymouth as abstracty just froze in horror. abstracty eventually snapped out of it and approached stone, wanting to help. abstracty moved the sweater up and the instant they looked at stone the bellymouth let out a loud roar, catching abstracty off guard. stone once again tried to hide it, but the bellymouth reached out its tongue, pointing towards abstracty.
"wait... you dont mean..."
it needed to eat something. it wanted to eat them. stone decided to get out of their bed to feed the bellymouth something not so cannibalistic, if they couldnt get rid of it might as well just deal with it.
"heeey... where are you going?"
"im going to feed it something" stone signed. they checked the fridge, and the bellymouth was picky about everything. altho it couldnt talk, it obviously didnt want anything in there. nothing in the cabinets. stone decided that the only way it would get what it wanted is if they fed it their own flesh. they reached their hand into the mouth but it just pushed the hand away, it didnt want it. stone looked at abstracty and started crying a little, they didnt want to eat them. abstracty was just looking at stone, not knowing what to do. abstractys tail was a problem tho, it always liked to plug itself into the wall whenever abstracty wasnt looking. it was also kinda careless. thinking about it for a while, abstracty decided to let the strange parasite chew on the cord of abstractys tail for a while. abstracty walked over and offered the tail to the bellymouth, but it bit abstractys hand instead, making them scream.

abstractys screams always became loud and distorted with enough volume, and it only made the bellymouth want to eat them more, it was the parasites natural instinct after all. it ripped abstractys arm off and blood spewed everywhere. the blood got onto the windows, the floor, and most importantly, on stone, who could only scream, but they couldnt.
time passed.
"hey, soooooo... what now?"
"how are going to get rid of this?"
"i dont think we can, look."
"theres no cure?"
"yeh, but it looks cool soooooo."
"a mouth on someones chest doesnt look cool, it looks weird. especially if its constantly moving."
"it moves constantly?"
"yeh, it breaths, you know."
"oh, i thought it got air from stones holes."
"nope, it cant do that."
"oh."
"what are you guys talking about?"
"its a long story."
"why did you get a prosthetic arm?"
"again, long story."
"whats this? what the... stone has a what?"
"yes, thats what we were talking about."
"can we talk about it for a while?"
"i cant, im sorry."
"why not?"
"its personal."
"ok soooo what now?"
"i guess we do whatever."
"sounds good to me, maybe a game night would be cool"
"yeh, hopefully stones bellymouth wont get in the way of that."
stone listened to the whole thing and was rather embarrassed. sure, being talked about wasnt new to them and all but... it was something. stone walked up to abstracty and greeted them.
"its nice to meet you too, stone, and uhhhh... what should i call that."
"lets not give it a name just yet" stone signed. this new life would be interesting for both stone and abstracty.
