kuni spread out sunburn cream on ajax's back as gently as he could, still getting a couple winces and whimpers from the ginger. "what idiot goes out in this stupidly hot weather without wearing sunscreen?" he complained, for what felt like the millionth time.
"listen, comrade, i've already told you i'm sorry! you don't have to keep doing this if you don't want to, you know!"
"it's fine. i really do wonder what goes on inside your head, though. do you even think, most of the time?"
"contrary to your belief, indeed i do! ...i just noticed the way your very pale skin stayed intact without the need for any products, so i thought i could do the same. i'm not as strong and resistant as you, i know, but i still wanted to give it a try."
kuni sighed, eyebrows slightly curved upward. "ajax, you know it's different. we're different."
"and? with more training of the sort, i bet my skin could become as thick as a whale's! i could take the heat of a thousand suns!"
"no, you couldn't, silly ginger. you have very sensitive skin," he flicked ajax's back, to which he immediately groaned. "hey! there was no need to do that." he shook his head and scratched the back of his neck, "there was no need for to help me out here either, yet here you are. thank you"
"don't mention it. just be more careful tomorrow, okay? i'll make sure to bring some sunscreen along this time," kuni said, putting the sunburn cream away and getting ready to leave ajax's room.
