Maki Katsuragi and Itsuki Ameno had kissed before, they cuddled, comforted each other, even an occasional “Netflix and Chill”. But no, they weren't ‘dating’.
Now it’s not as if they weren’t loyal to each other or anything either, they would reject any love confession, boy or girl, with the excuse “I already like someone, sorry.” They simply weren’t dating.
They would get jealous, fight for each other, hang out, try and fail at flirting, they never seemed to get the hang of that, nervously attempting lines they looked up on Google. However they weren't dating.
They sent each other flirty videos, whatever popped up on their Tik Tok fyps or their Instagram stories. They would joke around, and let their ‘frustrations’ out on each other. Still, they weren’t dating.
Whenever they were asked “Are you dating someone?” they would say “No.'' However if asked if they “were single” they would still say “No.” They weren’t married, they weren't widowed, they just weren’t dating.
They've been in this 'Relationship' since the second year of middle school, they are well into their third year of high-school now, and still if they ever get asked “Why do you two always deny that you’re together?” They wouldn’t know the answer. It just didn’t suit them. So, no, they weren’t dating.
