Chapter 1: Am I Reincarnated?!

Chapter Text

Kim Rok Soo tried to move his body but he couldn't move.

He remembered that he had died from the monster's attack- maybe that's why he couldn't move.

But if he's dead

Why did he feel someone wiping the snot up his sleeve?!

"Sob, sob, dongsaeng..."

A brown-haired boy who was about 12 years old was crying on the edge of the bed, his face buried in the arms of the unconscious figure on the bed.

"Prince Jungsoo, I'm sorry but there's no hope anymore..."

The old healer who had served the royal family for many years tried to comfort the Prince who had just lost his sister.

"We have to prepare the funeral."

Another low voice sounded in the room, it was the first prince who just turned fifteen this year, he didn't cry like his younger brother but it was clear he was very sad at the news of his brother's loss.

Meanwhile, an unconscious figure- Kim Rok Soo screamed in his head.

'Wait, looks like I'm not dead yet but why are they acting like I'm dead.'

Besides that, there was one more thing that made Kim Rok Soo uncomfortable - the problem was that the voices of the two people in the room sounded somewhat familiar.

Kim Rok Soo struggled to move his body, starting with his fingers, then his eyelids.

Just as he felt that the weight that had drowned him like water in a lake had finally disappeared, his eyelids finally opened.

"Ugh..."

The crying child gasped, he lifted his head only to see his dead young brother open his eyes and frown as if to say what are you doing?

Kim Rok Soo, who didn't understand the situation, couldn't help but frown at the little boy who- very much resembled that bastard Jung Soo, and the problem again was that pile of snot on his sleeves!

Then looking to the other side, a kid who was very similar to his team leader widened his eyes, but the problem is this kid is still young maybe 15 years old? Only the appearance of his age distinguished the boy from his team leader who looked like the main character of a mafia movie.

Then when Kim Rok Soo was about to ask about the situation-.

"Dongsaeng!"

The child who had wet his arm with snot was now hugging him and even starting to wet his shoulder with snot!

"Huwaa dongsaeng!"

It's really noisy, doesn't this kid know the etiquette not to be noisy around the patient?

"Th-it's a miracle!"

The old healer- whose existence was forgotten, immediately rushed out of the room with lightning-fast movements as if he had returned to his twenty years of youth.

***

"Who are you?"

Two children in the room- there were actually three children in the room, but one of them still didn't realize that he was also a child.

"Ehem, I'm your hyung dongsaeng, Soohyuk Henituse."

The older child glanced sideways at him- at the child whose eyes were swollen and a bit of snot still remained on his cheeks.

"And this is also your hyung... Jungsoo Henituse."

Kim Rok Soo just froze with his mouth open, so this kid really was his team leader.

And Jung Soo- let's leave him for now.

"But why do you call me dongsaeng, you are still small now so I'm older."

The eldest child- Soohyuk looked at his younger brother with pity.

"Dongsaeng, you are only ten now, you are no older- and I am fifteen, then Jungsoo is twelve."

Kim Rok Soo then realized something- he looked down and saw a small body, covered in silky white lacy pajamas, small hands and pale skin then- long beautiful red hair fell in front of his face.

"Wh-then who am I?"

Before Soohyuk could answer, Jungsoo screamed as he ran outside and luckily, had wiped the snot on his cheek with his sleeve.

"Huwaaaa! Cale lost his memory!"

***

Cale Henituse was the youngest child of the Henituse Royal family, just a small Kingdom in the form of an island surrounded by ocean in the corner of the continent.

So strategically, this Kingdom is an Island, an Island large enough to become a Kingdom, but of course still smaller than the territory of other kingdoms in the middle of a large continent.

This kingdom looks quite remote because it is surrounded by oceans, but actually the sea is the source of the kingdom's wealth.

There are mines under the sea, then there are sea routes as transportation.

The land area of the Roan Kingdom might be small but the sea area they had was vast and Rich.

But unfortunately there was an accident two years ago which resulted in the death of the Queen and their youngest child who took part in the trip was seriously injured and fell into a coma.

Cale unlike his two hyungs who were similar in appearance to his father, had brown hair and brown eyes. Cale was only similar to his mother, red hair and pale white skin, very different from his father and brothers.

The youngest child who is considered the royal flower, has no skills other than a beautiful appearance, only always entertaining his father and siblings by acting cute.

Two years in a coma and finally the healer declared he could no longer be saved.

However.

Brack!

The door of the room slammed open, the King had left all his highnes to walk hastily to his son's room.

Kim Rok Soo- Cale who was leaning on the headboard once again thought about this family's noisy habit, or his family.

"Cale my son!"

King Deruth Henituse hugged his son who had been unconscious for two years. Cale who was in the bear's arms tried to think of what words would be good for this situation.

"U-uh, yeah?"

But it seems his brain isn't working properly at the moment.

Then.

Ggrrr.

There was the sound of a growling stomach.

"Uhm, can I have some food?"

Cale asked hesitantly, without him realizing his appearance looked like that of a very cute little angel that had just fallen from the sky.

The other three people in the room seemed to have been shone by divine light.

Meanwhile.

The maids who just peeked from outside the door.

"Quickly prepare the food!"

"Make sure we use all the most expensive ingredients!"

"Quickly bring new stock of goods!"

"We need more!"

"Meat!"

"Cake!"

"Bring in chocolate stock!"

"Ah, don't forget the lemon tea!"

"Check the park for a walk."

"Make sure there isn't a single thorn in the garden!"

"Clean the library!"

"Hey, throw away all those pebbles!"

"What if the Prince stumbles?!"

"Tailor! We have to prepare new clothes!"

"And jewelry!"

"Call the fashion designer!"

"Hairdresser!"

"There's dust in here!"

"Fix the fountain!'

"We're out of lemons!"

A commotion broke out in the Palace unbeknownst to Cale who had just received a bowl of soup and porridge from the old butler with a scary friendly smile.

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Kim Rok Soo just finished eating the soup and porridge that an old maid gave him, he glanced at the scary looking old butler standing beside him, even his smile looked scary!

"I have heard that Prince Cale has lost his memory, you can call this old servant Ron."  The old servant Ron smiled kindly at him.

Kim Rok Soo, now Cale, automatically smiled back at the old butler, even though his thoughts were clearly different.

'Scary.'  he thought.

Ron went to prepare a change of clothes for Cale, and Cale breathed a sigh of relief at his departure.

Cale decided to think in more detail about what was going on.

In the first place he and his team leader and Choi Jung Soo seemed to have died fighting a very strong monster out of nowhere, even though Cale was very confident that they had defeated the monster, it seemed they had died too from the last attack.

And then they seem to be reincarnated?  But it seems like he's the only one who remembers the previous incident.

The downside was that it seemed like they were born into the Royal family which was very troublesome, Cale didn't want to be ordered to become the heir to the throne, luckily Cale could pass the matter over to his two stupid brothers.

On the bright side Cale was now very rich.

Look at all the gold and gems that adorn the walls, then look at that chandelier up there, is that a diamond?  If Cale managed to throw all the work at his two brothers, he could just be rolling around in a palace full of gold.

Wow, what a slacker life.

Thinking of all that, Rom's arrival carrying a basin of water with a towel and a change of clothes seemed nothing.

~~~♡~~~
Two weeks later, Cale was already allowed to wander around the palace grounds by himself as he pleased.
And Cale also got a puppy.
Yes puppies.
“Cale-nim!”
A black-haired child of exactly Korean appearance, who looked fifteen years old, the same age as his brother, the current Soohyuk Henituse.
His name is Choi Han, from the Duke Choi family, after researching things found that Duke Choi's family is still related by blood to the Henituse Royal family, therefore they can talk to each other intimately.
Viewed as a whole, Choi Han should be the uncle of the current Princes, but due to being around the same age, he was more like a brother
The Choi family is known as a family of knights because their sword skills are considered very great, and Choi Han is the best among his age together with prince Soohyuk.
"Cale-nim, I'm happy to see you wake up after two years!"  Choi Han came over and hugged him, making their cheeks touch.
Cale tried to get rid of this glue-like puppy but wow, this kid was really strong, or was it just Cale who lacked muscles?
If considering in his previous life, team leader Lee Soohuk was extremely strong, if Choi Han was as strong as him then obviously he should be able to knock down a normal monster in one hit.
Scary.
And one more annoying thing.
"Young Master, it's time for tea."  Ron came in with a line of maids behind him carrying lots of snacks and a set of teaware.
Scary old man
A small tea party was set up in the palace grounds under a shady tree to make sure Cale didn't overheat, it was late afternoon so the sun wasn't hot but the maids insisted on taking care of Cale's skin.
'Is my skin that bad that I shouldn't be exposed to the sun?'  Cale thought as he watched the pale skin on his hands.
Maybe it really is that bad.
Cale nodded mentally.
Cale sat down on the chair that had been prepared, but he looked at Choi Han who was just standing beside him with puppy dog eyes.
Cale sighed.  "Sit there."  Cale pointed at the chair in front of him.
“Alright, Cale nim.”  Choi Han nodded enthusiastically and sat down on the chair across from Cale.
Ron the scary old butler was pouring tea for Cale, Cale picked up the cup but almost spat it out when he tasted the taste.
Cale frowned and glared at the glass filled with the cursed thing.
"Lemon tea is good for your health, Young Master." Ron started to pour more tea.
Cale ignored the tea and chose to enjoy the sweets that were in front of him, he also ignored Choi Han's shining gaze that was not stopping every time he shoveled a cookie into his mouth.
But suddenly.
“I will train hard so I can become your knight, Cale-nim!”
"Cough."  Cale choked on his cake as Choi Han said that.
“Cale-nim!”  Choi Han immediately passed Cale a cup of tea.
Cale coughed and drank the cup filled with sour lemon, Choi Han said he wanted to be his knight, he was even exhausted from dealing with the puppy dog's eyes for a few hours, yet he had to look at it for nearly twenty four hours?  Cale's peaceful life could be disrupted.
“Cale-nim, are you okay?”
Cale was going to choke again if Choi Han was going to continue to give him the appearance of an abandoned dog.
"I'm fine, go back to your seat."
Hearing that, Choi Han calmly returned to his seat, Ron gave him a handkerchief to wipe the remaining cake from his mouth.
Cale enjoyed the rest of the afternoon with the butler's scary smile and the puppy like glue that seemed to keep glaring at the sly fox silently.
Cale ignored anything in between, not wanting to know until the sun went down.
~~~♡~~~

That night Cale spent his time rolling around in bed reading a book, what a slacker life it was.

Cale didn't need to work, throwing everything he had to do at his two hyungs and was just going to enjoy the money.

The slacker life is indeed the best.

Krieet.

Cale's bedroom door opened, Cale thought it was Ron but he didn't expect it would be someone else.

"Dongsaeng!"

It was Jungsoo who was running in a shirt full of sweat towards him.

Smack!

Cale threw him a pillow, Ron had just cleaned up Cale, what if he got dirty too?  This hyung should at least take a shower before coming here.

"Huhu, my dongsaeng is so fierce."  Jungsoo wiped away the invisible fake tears.

A throw pillow should be nothing, after all Cale's pillow was so soft and light as a feather.

"What is our dongsaeng reading?"  Soohyuk sat on the edge of the bed, looking at Cale's books.

Then started laughing.

"Is this the story of the Princess and the Prince?"

Soohyuk pinched Cale's cheek.

“Does our Cale want to meet the Princess, or the Prince?”

Jungsoo gasped at that.

"No! No one is allowed to take our Cale!"

Meanwhile Cale, trying to free his cheeks from these two annoying brothers, stopped pulling at his cheeks.

"Leh me go.” Cale spoke incoherently.

Jungsoo pulled Cale into a tight bear hug.

"Uwaaah! The smell of sweat!"  Cale could smell Jungsoo's sweat clinging to him.

"Don't worry, dongsaeng! Whoever tries to take my dongsaeng I will hit him with a sword! This hyung will soon become a sword master!"  Jungsoo had determination burning in his eyes.

You scary brat.

“Yeah, just say if there's someone you want to punch Cale, we'll do it for you.”  Soohyuk added.

'Why are you also joining in?'

Cale ended up continuing to be the cuddling doll of his brothers.

"By the way, Cale should start doing tests."  Soohyuk said as Cale was almost asleep.

"Hmm?"  Cale was confused, what test?

"Oh yeah! Our Cale is already ten years old."  Jung Soo nodded.  "We have to do a test as soon as possible so we can know who to get rid of our dongsaeng."  The atmosphere around Jungsoo suddenly became cruel.

Cale shuddered, what the heck were they talking about?  While Soohyuk seemed to really agree with his brother.

"It's late, time to sleep."  Soohyuk reminded and made Cale into a rolled blanket in the middle of the bed.

He then dragged Jungsoo who wouldn't let go of Cale outside, Cale's bedroom door closed with a small clatter and two other Princes walked side by side towards their palace.

"Hyung, isn't the Emperor of Roan visiting?"  Jungsoo recalled the message the Imperial emissary had brought him.

They had ignored the message for two weeks because of Cale who had suddenly woken up, according to the message, tomorrow the group would arrive at the Kingdom.

"Leave it alone, no one will dare to mess with us."

They were the country with the richest natural resources in the entire continent, not just on land, but their underwater magic stone mines as well.

There shouldn't be anyone who would dare mess with even the Empire.

"Hmm, that's right."

They better think about having a picnic with their dongsaeng.

Chapter 3: Imperial Guest

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Cale got up early and looked at the busy maids, it seemed like they were even busier than yesterday.

"What is going on today?"  Cale asked Ron who was getting him dressed for breakfast.

"Guests are coming, Prince I don't need to care because it's not important."  Ron pinned a red gem on his clothes.

'If guests are coming to the palace, isn't that important?'

But Ron spoke as if the only person who had arrived was a gardener passing by.

Well it wouldn't be bad either if it was none of Cale's business.

Cale went to the dining room with Ron to have breakfast with his father and his two Hyungs, even though this was the Royal Family but they never missed breakfast together.

Cale was happy because the atmosphere in the palace was not too serious unlike in the fantasy novels that Cale often read, so far everything had been very peaceful, there had been no disturbances from nobles or assassins.

"Dongsaeng! Sit here."  Jungsoo pointed at the chair next to him.

Ron lifted Cale onto the chair, there was actually no need, Cale was short but he could climb onto the chair himself.

The two older princes sat on the right and left of their father who sat at the head of the table.

The waiters started serving the food.

Cale enjoyed the food that was served, the meat steak was very nice and tender, Cale continued to eat without noticing the severe stares of the maids and his family, he had gained weight in just two weeks from continuously eating and sleeping.

His father, Deruth cleared his throat and took notice.

"Looks like we're going to be a bit busy today, can you play in your own castle today, Cale?"  Deruth asked, noticing the reaction of his son who was still chewing his food.

Cale nodded, he would not interfere with anyone's work especially so long as they were making money for his slacker life.

~~~♡~~~
Cale spent time in his palace library, rolling on the floor on the thick and fluffy fur rug while eating snacks and reading a book.
"Meow."
The red kitten joined in rolling with Cale on the carpet.
Choi Han had just given him two kittens, one silver and one red.
They are very small in size, they look like they are still babies especially the red ones.
"Meoow."
The silver kitten came and grabbed the red kitten off the carpet and carried it to the floor, cat hair strewn across the fluffy carpet.
They looked smart, where did Choi Han get these kittens from?
Cale was tired of the story books and novels he was reading, so he replaced them with science books that contained information about the countries of this continent.
The first is the kingdom of Henituse, in the form of an island that is rather large and surrounded by at least more than fifty smaller islands, each of the small islands has its own use, agriculture, animal husbandry, residence, and mining.
Their land area is not too wide but their sea area is very wide and most importantly the underwater mines they control.
"Wow, if this much wouldn't we be attacked?"
But Cale need not worry as he continued to the next page, it turned out that their kingdom was full of sword Masters, especially from the Choi family who were relatives of the Royal family.
Cale nodded, it had to be this much for a rich country.
Other countries will be jealous of a country that has large natural resources, it's like they see someone who is already rich from birth without having to work hard, so they will definitely try to grab it.
Then another kingdom, Caro as the center of shopping, entertainment, and tourism, Caro is known for its free country, auction houses, clubs and all things fun.
Askosan and norland are famous for their unique food, Cale saw something that looked like fish and prawns in the picture, oh is that food that is eaten without cooking first?  What is it called on Earth?  Cale had never tried it, then the various kinds of ice cream.
Paerun, the wood they sell from their forest is very strong and sturdy, it won't be damaged by water and gets stronger the older it gets, also their buildings are white as beautiful as snow.
Hm these countries seemed to rely heavily on tourism, Cale tried to read through more pages to see the others.
The Whipper Kingdom with wizards and magic tools, Breck with fashion such as clothing and jewelry.
Everything looks good, this world seems very peaceful.
Cale flipped to the next page and.
"The old empire that collapsed?"  Cale carefully read through it.
The Mogoru Empire, the only empire that existed on this continent, about two years ago, the Mogoru Empire had a conflict with its neighboring kingdom, and unexpectedly by everyone, they lost the war and all their territory was taken.
Cale shuddered reading that, apparently this world wasn't really peaceful.  But at least it's fine now, right?  Right?
Endable Kingdom.
"Hmm?"  Cale tilted his head reading the name.
"Where have I heard before?"  Cale felt like remembering that name.
But no way, must be something similar.
The Endable Kingdom was filled with creatures of the dark race, there was nothing special about this country, its people mostly farmed and lived comfortably, they always obeyed and followed the new Empire, namely the Roan Empire.
Wait.
Wait a moment.
"Roan?!"
Cale shouted that name.
~~~♡~~~

"It would be quicker if we teleported.” The Magician Brigade Commander leaned over to report to a man in luxurious clothing on the deck of the ship.

"The Henituse Royal Family forbids the use of teleportation magic in their sea area."  the man replied.

"But, can Your Highness not ask for an exception?"  The leader of the wizards looked displeased that his master had to go through such a difficult journey.

The man sighed.  "If they understand what exclusion means."  He stared at the horizon in the distance.

The blue sea stretched out before him, they had already spent two days on board, they would reach the Royal Palace in the capital by night if they also had to ride horses when they reached land.

In the distance, jets of sea water soared up.

Whale.

It looked like normal whales since the Henituse Kingdom allowed them to pass.

That was because beneath this expanse of sea lay heaps of extremely precious treasures.

"Only a small Kingdom can treat the Empire like this."  The participating Foreign Minister gritted his teeth.

The man ordered them to speed up, being careful not to bump into anything, there were mining machines set up in the middle of the sea and would cause a commotion if they damaged them.

After that the man entered the ship, sat in his luxurious room chair.

He noticed the map of the Henituse Kingdom on his desk.

Two years ago when war broke out, they closed themselves off as a refuge, closing most of their ties with other countries.

As the Emperor of the Roan Empire, that man wanted this Kingdom to completely reopen their trade with his Empire, he needed huge resources for recovery.

Even though two years of war have passed, restoration has not been carried out optimally due to a lack of resources, the people are starting to lack food plus winter is coming soon.

He had to make sure this Kingdom was on his side no matter what.

~~~♡~~~
Cale flipped through more pages of the book, The Roan Empire, it was one of the settings in a novel he had read in the past.
The main character is a girl who wants to take revenge for the destruction of her home.
It was a princess from the ruined kingdom Rosalyn, a beautiful princess with red hair and beautiful red eyes.
Cale did not read through it because it was a web novel that was written by chapter every few days, the author didn't update anymore after the monster attacks, Cale thought maybe the author was dead.
But what the hell?!
Chapter 4: Main Male Character
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Cale finally managed to calm himself down from his earlier shock.
By the time he came to his senses, the sun was almost setting.
So let's summarize the entire storyline that Cale knew.
Firstly, the main character of this story is Rosalyn, the former princess of an almost kingdom and a powerful high-level magician, then the story setting is the Roan Empire and little mention of the Endable Kingdom.
Since the location had nothing to do with the Kingdom, and the Kingdom was also quite wealthy and didn't meddle in any business, then it should be fine as long as it wasn't related to the female lead and this empire and kingdom.
Then.
The genre of the story includes romance and fantasy, but from how the main character is a high level magician it should also include action where there will definitely be war and such.
There's no way it's just the female lead doing that there must be someone else who will help.
Thinking about it carefully, the problem was that the novel only ran to sixteen episodes before it never progressed and Cale read it before he had the record ability, an ability that allowed him to remember what things he used against monsters.
Oh, Cale remembered in the last sixteenth episode a mysterious man appeared who was the same age as the female lead, that person had managed to kill the Roan Empire's Emperor, the villain in the novel.
The episode ends hanging by only describing the man's appearance without mentioning his name, his appearance is.
Krieet.
The Great Door of the library creaked open, the small child that entered immediately walked up to Cale who was sitting on the floor with piles of books.
“Cale-nim!”
Choi Han came over and ran toward Cale his arms stretched out ready to hug Cale into his arms.
Choi Han got to Cale's side and managed to give him a big hug.
"Cale-nim, what are you reading?" Choi Han asked looking at the pile of books covering Cale's whereabouts.
Cale turned his head to see the puppy's shining gaze.
Cale noticed that there was sweat on Choi Han's forehead, a kid this strong shouldn't be sweating just from running, he must have been done sword training, but he wasn't to stink like Jungsoo.
Speaking of the man's appearance.
The appearance of the man who managed to kill one of the villains that appeared at the beginning.
The man with black hair and black eyes whose scene he appears in is just screaming for the lead.
"Cale-nim?” Choi Han tilted his head and blushed a little looking at Cale who was continuously watching him.
"...Hic."  There was a sound of sobbing.
“Ca, Cale-nim!”
"Huwaaaaa!"
'My slacker life!'
~~~♡~~~

"We have arrived at the Capital, Your Majesty."

A woman riding a horse with a cloak covering her appearance reports to the man leading the group.

The entire party rode on horseback after disembarking from the port on their way to the Capital, they had been riding all day without stopping in order to get there as quickly as possible, apparently not only at sea, they were also not allowed to use teleportation magic on land.

The reason was once again for safety, wondering it wasn't just the sea, every inch of land in this Kingdom was filled with valuables.

Spices that were difficult to cultivate, fruits of the best quality, medicinal herbs that grew scattered about like grass.

The company had walked through a village and seen girls playing with the plants like nothing.

It's only natural that this kingdom is so closed off to outsiders who want to come, because anyone who sees it will only be jealous.

"How can there be a kingdom like this."

A man who had followed his journey as an adjutant looked at the situation of the Village they were passing by with a look of envy.

Not in the garden that is maintained with difficulty, but all the plants that grow strewn across the streets and yards of people's houses.

"This is what being born rich is all about, Shawn."  The woman replied.

"How long will it take to get to the capital, aunt Tasha?"  The man who was in the front position asked.

“About another thirty minutes of non-stop travel, Alberu.”

One of the men beside him, Shawn flinched when the woman called the Emperor's name just like that.

“Tasha, watch your words!”  Shawn reminded.

"Ah, sorry, Your Majesty."

Your Imperial Majesty, Alberu nodded letting what had just happened pass.

"But Your Majesty, what will you offer the Henituse Royal Family?"  Tasha asked her nephew who had now become an Emperor.

"This kingdom has no magicians."  Alberu recalled all the information he got.

"So they need special machines for their mines, as you saw in the bolt."  The Roan Empire has several types of dwarven tribes, they are very good at making machines.

The Henituse Kingdom had the resources but lacked the ability to manage them, either they had to hire people from other countries or they had to buy tools that could help them.

In this case the Empire has everything, skilled people, magicians and proper equipment.

This kingdom is indeed rich but there is no use if they can't make use of it, in the end gemstones will just be ordinary stones when they are not polished and gold will just become a pile of mud on the ground if not cleaned.

Alberu watched the night sky above him, they finally arrived at the Capital's gates late at night.

Guard stops them.

"Please show identification."

The guard still looked fresh even though it was late at night.

"Didn't you hear there would be guests?"  Tasha asked, they had had enough of this long journey.

"We already know about it, so you just need to show proof of identity."  The guard answered.

'Only?  So how do they check people on a normal day?'  Tasha wondered how they usually checked people out.

"Is this enough?” The Emperor Alberu slightly opened the luxurious robe that was covering his chest.

Luxurious clothing was visible beneath the robes, but that wasn't what caught the eye, there was a brooch with a jewel engraved in gold in the shape of the sun, the crest of the Crossman Family, ruler of the Roan Empire.

The guards stepped aside and let the cavalry pass, before they saw the settlements of ordinary citizens and now they were greeted by the luxurious mansions of the aristocrats.

They finally reached the capital.

A mounted knight approached them and greeted the Emperor.

"Welcome Your Majesty, I will guide you to the Royal Palace."

The knight began to lead their way

As one would expect, the Henituse Kingdom had many Knights but hardly any mages in sight, in a flush perhaps only possessed in the royal castle or manor of aristocrats.

They passed the main road which was decorated with flowers and ornamental plants on the sides, at the bottom of the plants there were small and large stones which added to the beautiful impression.

At first glance they were just ordinary stones, but one of the stones was split open to reveal the color of the inside.

Isn't that the stone the Breck Kingdom uses to make jewelry?  Stones that look ordinary from the outside but can be beautiful if properly cut and polished.

Because the stones are formed from sediment and soil minerals they will have different colors, but they have to split them first to be able to see the color, they have no other function apart from being beautiful but still having a sale value.

The Breck Kingdom would have taken very good care of the stones but here they made them to decorate the road.

After some time walking, a large luxurious gate with battlements around it came into view, the guard at the front opened the door as the cavalry came.

Creak.

The door opened and rows of swordsmen on the left and right gave a greeting with a richly dressed man at the end and two boys beside him.

“Welcome, His Imperial Majesty Alberu Crossman.”

Chapter Text

King Deruth Henituse greeted the ruler of the Roan Empire followed by his two sons.

"Good evening, Your Majesty."  The Emperor, Alberu dismounted from his horse followed by the others and gave a greeting.

"Please come in."

The Emperor's entourage was led inside, Alberu followed the King with a few aides while the rest of his subordinates were led elsewhere.

They finally arrived at the banquet hall.

From here, the state discussion will begin.

~~~♡~~~
Cale blinked his eyes, roused from his deep sleep by his hungry stomach.
"Ung... where am I?"
Cale looked around.
Oh, he's in his room, his clothes have also been changed into pajamas.
But how did he get to his room.
a while ago.
"Huwaaaaa!"  Cale was crying because of his lazy dying life.
“Ca, Cale-nim!”  Meanwhile Choi Han was becoming panicked because of Cale who was suddenly crying.
"Cale-nim, are you feeling sick? Is there anything uncomfortable? Should I call a doctor?"  Choi Han shook the crying Cale around.
"Huk... hush... sob."  Cale ignored all of that, how could he get the magnetism of this problem onto him?
If Choi Han was the main character, wouldn't his lazy life wave at him?  And again this main character just kept sticking like glue to him!
"Huwaa!"
Choi Han who was panicking because he didn't know what to do, lifted Cale by his shoulders like a sack of rice and immediately ran at top speed to see the palace doctor.
Cale was drooling down Choi Han's shoulder from his speed and his dizziness was also leaving some snot, at least he wasn't throwing up.
The doctor examined him and there were no problems whatsoever, but Cale would not stop crying either.
Cale only stopped crying after almost an hour and Choi Han handed him a stack of strawberries the size of Cale's fist.
Then Cale fell asleep after eating it and Choi Han brought him back to his palace, on the way he met Ron who almost threw a knife at Choi Han because he thought he had kidnapped Cale.
And that was how Cale now ended up in his room clean and comfortable.
"I am hungry."  Cale had finished the large stack of strawberries Choi Han had given him but now he was hungry again.
What time is it?  It seemed that it was almost midnight because The atmosphere was very quiet.
Cale considered going out and calling Ron but then remembered Ron must have returned to the Royal Palace since he was on guest duty.
Cale got off his bed and was wearing furry sandals as well as a white long jacket, why did that jacket's hat have bunny ears– it must have been his two older brothers who ordered it.
Walking out, the palace was quiet but not scary looking because of all the gems sparkling on the walls and ceiling, Cale was amazed by how much this palace had become like a mine of gems.
Cale was reminded of the strawberries Choi Han had given him, where did he get them?  There seemed to be a strawberry tree in the palace garden, Cale liked it because of its big shape and sweet taste.
Remembering that Cale walked over to the palace garden, seeing no one there it seemed like it was true that everyone was in the Royal Palace.
"Hm hm hm."  Cale hummed while walking on the grass of the palace garden, he better not get too close to the King's Palace or everyone would be noisy because he was not sleeping.
Cale finally saw a line of dense strawberry fruit tree bushes, large red sweet strawberry fruits hanging from each bush, Cale was drooling at the sight.
Cale picked up the woven fruit basket that was near the bushes and started picking out the strawberries that caught his eye.  While focused on picking up the fruit, Cale's hand movement stopped when he heard friction on the grass.
No, it's not just a simple swipe, it's someone walking.
And sure enough, Cale looked up and saw a tall man some distance away from him.
Even though it's dark but the night sky is bright with stars and moon.
'Wow, so handsome.'
Cale admired how that unknown person looked incredibly handsome.  That brown skin that Cale had never seen before from anyone he had met as Kim Roksoo or Cale, his brown eyes were reminiscent of a clear tea mixture and the falling brown hair had stars shining on it.
But Cale then realized something.
'Hah!  Stranger!'
Kids shouldn't talk to strangers, and now he's still a kid, and a very cute kid of all things!
Cale immediately turned around and disappeared at top speed, not forgetting to take the basket of strawberries he had with him.
~~~♡~~~

Alberu just came out of his place to see more of this Royal palace, it wasn't as big in size as the Imperial Palace but it was extraordinary for a Kingdom that didn't have much contact with the outside world.

But who would have thought what kind of things he would find.

'What's that?'

Rabbit?

It turned out to be a human child in a fur coat in the shape of a rabbit, carrying a wicker basket and picking strawberries, his movements suddenly stopping when they made eye contact.

'Red hair?'

Alberu as the Emperor of the Roan Empire which housed all kinds of races had almost never seen such red hair except for the current King of the Endable Kingdom.

Even on the way here he passed through the whole kingdom not seeing anyone else with red hair.

The little boy finally realized something before turning around and immediately running at top speed and disappearing into the distance.

The child must have been terrified looking at him, Alberu had never been interested in children.  Especially the human children in a kingdom like this, news must have never seen anyone outside of the human race and would run away in terror at the sight.

Alberu had slightly hidden his ears that were sharper than those of an ordinary human behind his hair, but that certainly did not take away from how his physique looked superior to that of a normal human.

Common humans were the weakest among all existing races, some of them could become quite strong sword masters and magicians but other races such as elves had become stronger naturally since birth, and only two places on this continent were filled with  by them.

The Roan Empire and the Endable Kingdom.

The Roan Empire, where Alberu had finally become the Emperor, he had come here and managed to persuade the king to want the minerals and other resources that they had in raw to the Empire.

They certainly weren't easy to agree with but it was also not easy to refuse a request from a powerful empire, no matter how arrogant these empires were with all the wealth they had, they were still not as powerful as the empire.

So they had to find an agreed-upon sale and purchase situation, of course objectively the Empire would be the one that would benefit the most but that was enough profit for an Empire.

Alberu turned around, there would probably be more young children for him to meet if he kept going, the vacancies would settle for the next few days and before returning to the Empire.

The days were peaceful as they always had been, Cale had been sure that nothing would happen during this time, the novel didn't go into detail about when it would start but that was after Choi Han grew up and killed the Imperial Emperor.

So for now, he only needed to let Choi Han grow up well, eat well and sleep well, and also raise him to be an excellent knight.

Wow, he had broken five swords in one week, it had to be like that for a male protagonist.

He would send Choi Han out of the Kingdom on various errands later after they grew up and with that, Choi Han would naturally embark on his own journey and meet the female protagonist.

And that was how Cale kept spending his heart out, eating, playing, attending classes, lazing around, there were occasional parties and troublesome tasks he would throw at his two brothers.

Everything is perfect.

So did the test results that said he was an omega.

'Wait, what is that?'  Cale frowned as he stuffed the steak into his mouth.

Trang!

And Choi Han, who had joined the meal, had split his own plate, it was pretty much the same for Jungsoo, except he had smashed his fork into pieces, and Soohyuk hyung who luckily hadn't held anything.

Cale was somehow not surprised because plates and forks must be very fragile for those scary bastards who were breaking swords almost every day.

He would ignore them and ask.

"What are omegas?"

While chewing food with his rosy chubby cheeks.

"Erm, Cale. It's you, em, you're the omega, but it doesn't matter, it's just a kind of division of people."

Cale nodded, okay as long as it doesn't interfere with his slacker life, sharing or whatever, bullshit and let things be taken care of by other people.

Cale continued with his meal.

Letting things go.

"Happy seventeenth birthday, dongsaeng!"

That's how it was, Cale really just let things go.

Chapter 6: Sweet Seventen

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Living a peaceful life lazily is the best.

Cale was ten when he first opened his eyes with the memories of Kim Roksoo who had been reincarnated.

Cale was ten when he was first told he was an Omega, yes he took it for granted and let it go, of course it was a bit of a shock when he got older and knew that he could get pregnant but it wasn't like he was going to be forced into a marriage or anything.

Cale was ten when he found out the world that he and his two hyungs had reincarnated into was the Fantasy novel he had read once, and Cale was ten when he found out the male protagonist of this novel was in his house.

But Cale had let things go and let things take their course and as it should be, the whole story of the novel seemed to have nothing to do with him or his two brothers.

Choi Han would go out of the Kingdom naturally because there were tasks for knights outside of the kingdom to do.

So that's how it all really went.

"Happy seventeenth birthday, dongsaeng!"

And tonight is his seventeenth birthday.

Sweet seventeen, just one year until he finally wasn't a kid anymore and had to start doing this and that.

Does he have to work when he's eighteen? Can't he just stick to his hyungs' feet? In that case she might end up being a burden on the family but, well, her family is rich, one burden shouldn't matter.

"Happy birthday, Cale-nim!"

And Choi Han had also grown up.

He had done errands outside the kingdom several times without even Cale having to bother, at this rate then things would go according to the original story without interfering with his life, right?

"Thank you!"

Cale had to give each of his hyungs a kiss on the cheek, however Cale didn't have his own wallet because he wasn't working so he had to use both of their wallets.

"Huhu, my cute dongsaeng is already seventeen."

Jungsoo let out an imaginary cry and caught Cale in his arms before placing a sticky kiss on his cheek.

"Ah, stop!"

"Let this hyung kiss his adorable dongsaeng."

Cale had tried to push Jungsoo's face away but it wasn't working, and it was only a short time until Soohyuk tagged along to kiss Cale's other cheek and Cale got entangled in the arms of the two big hyungs and lots of kisses on his cheeks.

"Hyungs!"

Cale struggled until he finally managed to escape, or rather, be released from the embrace by the two hyungs.

Choi Han came to bring his present for Cale, Cale happily took his present and thanked him.

But why was Choi Han looking at her with pleading eyes like that?

Maybe he wanted Cale to open his present first, fine. Cale directly opened the present from Choi Han before any other gifts.

Cale did not notice Choi Han's disappointed look as he was busy opening presents and his two grinning hyungs.

There were many gifts scattered on the large carpeted floor where Cale was sitting in his room at the moment.

There were three gifts in front of him right now, one from Choi Han that Cale was opening and another from his two hyungs. His father had urgent business so as an apology he sent him a pile of gifts which by now became a mountain on one side.

There was a mountain of other gifts from the nobles as well as letters. Cale didn't celebrate his birthday by throwing a party, but the nobles always sent gifts. Cale thought it was so they would look good on his hyung and father.

Of course Cale had no idea how he got so many letters and gifts other than on his birthday because there were two hyungs ready with a big trash can to throw all the gifts away.

Letters sent in secret were destroyed somehow by a scary old butler, and the face-to-face meeting somehow ended up being a duel between a boy from a certain duke's family.

"Oh, it's so pretty, Choi Han."

It was a ribbon decorated with green colored stone grains, the stone was only found in one of the rivers that flowed on the island to the southeast of the Kingdom, indeed there were a large number of stones scattered in the river but to manage them into jewelery took a lot of time.

And again there are many grains of stone here as jewelry, to cut and polish even one is difficult.

The price for each stone is the size and quality in polishing the stones, even though they are small in size but there are many of them and they also look shiny so it must have taken a long time and skilled hands to polish them.

Ever since Cale had gotten bigger and he had begun to understand more what it meant to be an Omega, Ron had started to dress him up with pretty things like jewelry, Cale most often had ribbons decorated with expensive and beautiful precious stones in his hair.

Then Cale moved on to the gifts from his two hyungs, there was a box containing four rings from Jungsoo, Cale had a hard time getting rings for his fingers because of their size, Cale's fingers were long but had a small diameter so they looked very curvy and thin.

The diameter that fit her finger was a model for a small child that wasn't suitable for Cale's age so they had to specially order it, there were tiny, glittering Gems that had been adapted to the different designs of each ring.

Cale took one of them and used it on his finger, it was the perfect size and Cale liked the design.

Cale's hand looked especially alluring while it was wearing the ring.

Jungsoo smiled victoriously when he saw Cale who immediately used his gift.

"...But I'm afraid of losing it." Cale muttered.

The smile on Jungsoo's face immediately fell when he realized his dongsaeng's habit of often removing rings, Cale likes to use rings because his pretty hands suit them but he also loses them the most.

And since this was Cale's birthday present he must have been saving it more often than using it for fear of losing it.

Soohyuk laughed at his little brother's suffering as he watched Cale start to turn to his gift box.

Cale opened it and saw three brooches, each of which also had a beautiful design and gemstones of different sizes according to the design.

"Everything is beautiful, I like everything!"

Cale liked all of them mainly because they looked expensive, money did the best.

Ron came over with a plate and a cake knife, Cale was cutting his birthday cake that had been prepared by Ron's son Beacrox.

The cake looked delicious, Cale was sparkling as he cut it and placed it on each plate, he fed it to his hyungs as well as Choi Han before taking all the remaining cake for himself.

"The cake is delicious, Ron."

"I'll pass it on to Beacrox."

Cale nodded and went back to enjoying his cake, anything Ron's kids made was always delicious.

Cale glanced at the pile of gifts from his father, Cale knew his father was a good King but he also always had time for his children, especially at a time like this, it was not uncommon for his father not to be present.

'Did something happen?'

Cale thought maybe he was too indifferent about his father's work.

Soohyuk, the first Prince who had become the Crown Prince could see how his younger brother glanced at the pile of gifts his father had sent him.

He also somewhat regretted that his father couldn't be there even for a short while, his adorable and innocent little brother, he knew whatever was going on outside and they also didn't intend to bother him for any things that happened out there.

Yes, Cale was adorable whether it was when he was a child or now.

Those big round brown eyes and slightly chubby rosy cheeks, porcelain skin and rare and fine red hair, only a few people in this world were born with red hair.

Cale they had inherited that from their mother's family's genes, even in their mother's family not all of them had red hair.

"Father is really sorry for not being able to come, but he will definitely try to come back as soon as possible, dongsaeng."

"Father must be very busy." Cale nodded at Soohyuk's explanation.

As the Crown Prince he was also supposed to be busy replacing his father who went abroad, but he had to spend time on his dongsaeng's birthday.

"But what are you doing outside the Kingdom?"

Cale asked in an innocent tone while tilting his head, still enjoying his cake.

Ron fell silent watching how the older Princes would answer the youngest Prince's questions.

"Father has to visit the leader of another country, it's about a business contract, father intends to break it since there's no more profit for us that's all."

Jungsoo tried to explain as simply as possible, and with a reassuring and confident smile told Cale not to worry.

'Well, if there's nothing in it for us it's natural to cancel.'

Cale seemed to accept the explanation provided by Jungsoo, the two Princes looked pleased with it as well as Choi Han.

'But I wonder which country it is, if father had to come in person.'

But this also wasn't the first time his father had traveled outside the Kingdom to meet other Kingdom leaders, and since his father was going directly there shouldn't be any problems.
