NAYEON’s POV
“Get ready on Monday, for I will wear a dress! 😁”
Nayeon didn't know for how long she had been staring at Sana’s message to her. Yes, she had been telling, rather, teasing Sana to wear a dress just for the whole fun of it knowing that the girl identified herself as a “lesbian”.
Okay, it’s stereotyping but Nayeon’s knowledge about those kinds of things was too little. But she would lie if she said she didn't find Sana attractive.
She replied: ‘Really?!! You’re gonna wear a dress? I’ll only believe it when I see it. To which Sana replied, suit yourself, followed by a winking emoji.
They had a talk about it, but it’s all just for a joke (at least for Nayeon it’s all just a joke). Whenever they’d pass each other in the hall in the office, she would tell Sana, “I told you, you should wear a dress!” And Sana would say, “I told you that I’d only wear a dress if you find me a girlfriend.”
And Nayeon never did any of that: find Sana a girlfriend. So, why, suddenly, did Sana message her telling that she’d wear a dress?
Did she already have a girlfriend?
The thought excite Nayeon but there’s an underlying feeling she had always ignored. She didn't have a name to it and she’s afraid to put a name to it.
She only knew Sana recently. If she’s right, it’s only for a month. But their chemistry as friends was great! It almost felt like she had known Sana for a long time.

SANA’s POV
Monday came, and Sana peeked into the office where Nayeon was assigned.
“Oh. My…” Nayeon wasn’t able to continue her sentence as she just stared at Sana from head to toe.
Sana was happy she had rendered Nayeon speechless; she had somehow expected her reaction.
“Miss Sana Minatozaki, is that you?” Nayeon approached her and her admiration was apparent.
That’s what Sana liked about Nayeon, she’s so transparent.
“Now, where’s my girlfriend, Ms. Lim?” Sana teased.
Nayeon blinked several times, taken aback by her question, but she quickly recovered as she laughed.
“I can be that for you.”
Sana wasn’t sure if Nayeon was serious. But knowing Nayeon she’s sure it’s just one of her jokes.
She wondered, when was Nayeon going to be serious? But maybe this was better because she could always express her feelings for her in a joking way too without anything being awkward between them.
“Sure… cupcake.” Sana almost choked laughing because she knew it was an over the top nickname compared to the usual ones like ‘babe’, ‘honey’, ‘love’…
Nayeon was laughing too, her face going red with laughter.
“Cupcake?! Seriously, Sana!” She continued to laugh.
Sana giggled, holding Nayeon’s both arms supporting the girl as she already had her body bent forward with laughter. She didn’t expect she could make Nayeon laugh this much. It's a good feeling.
“Hey, I think we should fix your dress a little. Come with me.” To Sana’s surprise, Nayeon pulled her to the washroom and locked the door.
And it’s when Sana’s mind began to race. She had never been in a single room with Nayeon. More so in a locked tiny space.
She swallowed, feeling her body temperature rising.
Staring at the mirror, Sana was trying to find something wrong with her dress as Nayeon started fixing it. She was sure she wore it properly as she'd never show herself to Nayeon looking sloppily, or did she?
“Sana, before I can be your girlfriend, I want to see something first,” Nayeon muttered.
In the reflection, she saw Nayeon looking at her, so Sana braved herself, despite the fast beating of her heart, to face Nayeon.
She swallowed. “What—what is it?” Sana stammered, her eyes shifting between Nayeon’s orbs.
Nayeon looked serious and it’s hard to read her.
Few seconds later, she noticed Nayeon staring down on her lips and soon she felt her brush her hair behind her ear. Then, she began to reach her face, but with caution.
Sana remained unmoving, with her thoughts and her heart racing.
It was hard to process what was happening. But from all the chaos that was going on inside Sana, her thought process was still able to catch that Nayeon was going to kiss her!
She had been wanting to kiss Nayeon and... and...
Soon, Nayeon was leaning in and Sana didn’t waste any more time and closed the gap between them. But she didn’t go hard; she let Nayeon test the waters first as she didn't want to scare her away.
Though it was short, Sana would never forget the feeling of Nayeon's soft lips against hers.
She wanted to ask her why she did it, but it seemed like she forgot how to speak and her brain wasn't functioning how it should be.
All Sana could feel was the hard beating of her heart. And she still couldn't read Nayeon.
They stared at each other for a few seconds before Nayeon leaned in and kissed her again. But this time Sana answered back. Her hands snaked around Nayeon’s small waist, pulling her closer; while Nayeon’s arms wrapped around her neck, deepening their kiss.
And in between kisses, Nayeon whispered, “I’ll be your girlfriend…”
