“Rapunzel, are...are those my goggles? And my apron?”
“Oh, Varian!” Rapunzel turned to face the alchemist with a bright smile. “Hi!”
While Varian wasn’t surprised to see Rapunzel in his lab, since he had asked if she could meet him there to assist with a project, he certainly hadn’t expected to find the princess wearing his old brown work apron with a pair of goggles perched on top of her head.
The straight, narrow outline of the apron accentuated the curve of her full hips as they flared behind the material, while the apron’s low cut stretched taut across her chest. Varian knew without a doubt that if she hadn’t had a dress on underneath, it would barely offer enough coverage to keep her decent.
She very literally filled out that apron in ways his own lean frame never could before his growth spurt, which had forced him to abandon his old lab gear.
Gulping, he tugged at his collar, acutely aware of his rising body temperature…along with something else that was just a little bit more noticeable.
In response to his stunned silence, Rapunzel clasped her hands low in front of her, the apron straining even more as her breasts pressed and squeezed between her arms. “I didn’t think you’d mind, since you’ve already got an apron and…oh.”
Her eyes strayed down to the subtle tenting of the aforementioned fabric tied at his waist, and a coy grin tipped her lips as she met his eyes again. “Maybe you don’t mind…?”
Varian’s heated cheeks reddened further, and he rubbed the back of his head, looking away with a sheepish laugh. “Heh, w-well…you certainly fill it out much better than I ever did.”
Humming, Rapunzel swayed a few steps closer, bringing his gaze back to her once more. “You really think so?” She hooked a finger into the apron’s low neckline, glancing down as she gave it a little tug. “I mean, it is a little tight here…”
Varian sucked in a sharp breath. Oh, she was totally doing this on purpose.
…well. Two could play at this game.
He reached for her, wrapping an arm around her waist and tugging her closer. “I think you should wear it more often,” he told her, running one hand along the supple curve of her hip while the other played with the apron strings tied at her back. “But maybe next time…without the dress?” He waggled his eyebrows at her with a grin before leaning in to plant a kiss on her cheek.
“Varian!” Rapunzel laughed, bracing a hand on his chest and playfully smushing her palm against his cheek, pushing his face away. “I can’t do that! What would people say?”
Still grinning, he turned his head and nuzzled into her hand, pressing a kiss to her palm. “Nothing, hopefully. I was thinking it could be more of a…ah, private showing.”
“Private, huh?” She glanced up at him from beneath her lashes, lightly biting her lip as she slid her hand down his neck to play with his collar. “I suppose I could do that…”
“And y’know,” Varian kicked the door shut behind him, pulling her even closer. “It’s pretty private in here…”
Rapunzel nibbled at her bottom lip. “Right now? But…don’t you need help with your project?“
“Something else…came up,” Varian told her, smirking as he lightly pushed his hips against hers so there was no doubt what he was referring to. “And I could really use an assistant…”
Rapunzel’s breath hitched before bubbling into a giggle. “Gosh, I guess it can’t be helped then~” Her lips brushed against his in a featherlight touch as she whispered, “Let’s make some chemistry~”
As her plush lips fully met his with a soft ‘chu!’ Varian decided that he definitely liked it when she talked science to him.
