Chapter Text
It was Percy’s idea. He found the books in his closet and thought “Hey, this could be fun” and now Nico, Thalia, and the seven were at a round table in the big house.
The worst part according to Nico, was that Percy was DMing, and won’t even let Annabeth see what he was planning. He was grinning in a way that made the others nervous.
He brought all the supplies they need including dice and paper, how he got official D&D paper, he didn’t know. Just that now they were sitting at the table looking at Percy to start.
“Saraphene (Piper’s character), you enter a small community tent in the village of Lone Wander. Looking around you see a small fire, do you approach?” Percy announced, looking towards Piper with a small smirk.
“Yes, I walk towards the fire and sit down.” Piper responded, sounding intrigued that he would call her character first.
“As you sit down you accidentally sit on the hand of a small dwarf, who after some apologies said their name was Bardy,” Leo perked up “who was here to buy grain from the local farmer. You two seem to hit it of instantly as you continue talking until a young Elf comes and asks if she can sit down next to you, what do respond?”
Hazel and Annabeth lean in as they are the only two elf characters in the party. The others are starting to look a little bored at how long it’ll take to introduce them all.
“I let the young Elf sit next to us with pride.” Piper said, a proud smile on her face. Percy smiles calmly “As the young Elf starts to sit down, another older Elf comes and asks her what they are doing away from her and a Paladin in the corner.” Hazel, Annabeth, and Jason all lean in, the former as he was said paladin.
Thalia asked bored (with a little bit of ADHD in the mix) when their characters are gonna be introduced, motioning to her, Nico and Frank. “In a sec,” Percy responded a little annoyed “As the older elf talks to the younger one, the paladin comes forward and speaks to Saraphene ‘My name is Edgeworth (yes Ace Attorney reference) and you two are?’ What do you two say?”
Piper and Leo look at each other before saying “We are Saraphene and Bardy, what are your friend’s names?” Percy looked towards Jason with his brow up, signaling for him to respond “The younger one Jojo, and the older one is her sister Kara.”
Nico and Thalia were starting to move in their seats as they have been sitting there for so long, Frank was whispering to Hazel who was playing with a D12 in her hands. While they were all doing that, Annabeth and Jason were thinking about the story as they progressed.
Leo and Piper were just playing a quiet patty-cake game as they looked at Percy who was just smiling at everyone (he would never say it, but he was glad they took his invitation to play some games).
Percy started up again, gaining their attention “While you five talk, a group of three were sitting at a table nearby playing a card game when a few cards flew off the table in a twist of fate near the flames and the three stopped their game to grab the cards, being the nice soul she was, Jojo went to grab a card when her hand brushed up against a young man in a torn coat with a small bag on belt. The two look at each other and apologize at the same time, causing the other two at the table as well as Kara to laugh while the Jojo and the man blushed red like ripe tomatoes.” Hazel and Frank blushed recognizing the situation that their characters were in while the others laughed.
“Once all the cards were picked up, the other three introduced themselves as Cecil, Martha, and Wright (yes, another Ace Attorney reference), as the eight of you all talked and introduced yourselves, a person came and asked them if they are looking for an adventure. What do you all respond?” Percy stated when the group calmed down. As the eight in the game talked with each other on what to respond with, Percy looked at his notes he and Blackjack thought of what the group should do (yes he went to a horse for ideas on what to do in a game he found in his closet, sue him) and laughed in his mind, ready for whatever they throw at him. Looking up, he saw the group finally deciding to take the adventure. “Good, all according to plan.” He thought with a wicked smile on his face.
