Chapter Text
The day began like any regular old day. My alarm clock began buzzing like normal and my phone-set alarm began ringing the same old annoying ringtone. I groaned, getting up and turned off the alarm clock before getting my phone and stopping the alarm from ringing. I wanted to stay in bed for a while longer but before that thought could become a reality, my sisters Lilac, Elliana, and Emily ran into the room giggling. I sighed. "What do you guys want now?" I asked. Lilac and Emily were shushing each other and giggling while Elliana looked slightly worried. I gave them a confused look, but the girls just shushed me and waved me over to them. "We stole mom's watch" Lilac told me while bursting into fits of quiet laughter. "Alright girls, this isn't funny anymore. Where is my watch?" Mom screamed from downstairs. "Guys, we should give the watch back... Mom sounds mad.." Elliana said, looking worried. "Oh come on, you don't want to wear the watch to school, 'Lia?" Emily asked. Hang on. Mom had a watch? She never told me about that. Eh, doesn't matter anyways. "Give the watch back to mom, she needs it for work."I said, feeling very tired. "Ugh, goody-two-shoes." Emily whined. "Girls, give me my watch or your phones are getting taken away!" Mom said as I heard her running up the stairs. I decided to get my clothes out for class while Mom and my sisters argued over who could have the watch. I picked out a light gray crop top, and some beige sweatpants to cover up my belly button. After all, my school has a strict dress code policy. I got my undergarments and my clothes and I headed for the bathroom, still hearing my sisters and my mom screaming in the background over that stupid watch. I hummed to myself some randomly made up tune to try and tune out the screaming a bit. I then realized that I had left my makeup in my room. Gosh, I really am stupid sometimes. Anyways, I went back to go get my makeup, with my clothes still in hand. I went into my room, quickly grabbed my makeup and "BAILEE ARDEN, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME?" My mom screamed at me. "Seriously? I was just getting my makeup since I'm getting ready to go to school." I stated. My mom slapped me across the face. "YOU DO NOT DISRESPECT ME LIKE THAT!" She screeched. "I'm sorry mother. Now may I please go to the bathroom to get changed?" I asked. "No, no you may not. You can change right here." Mom said. "I would like some privacy please." I stated, thinking that she would at least respect my boundaries. "You can get privacy when you move out. I'll close my eyes." Mom snapped. I then decided to just shove her out of the way to get changed faster. I then sprinted to the bathroom, and shut the door. I locked the door right after, just to make sure my mom wouldn't get in and scream at me for 'being disrespectful'. Sure enough, I heard my mother banging on the door, demanding to come in. "I'm almost done ma'. Just give me a minute." I said, hoping that she would leave. She eventually did, but not before screaming that I was going to be kicked out the second I graduated. I sighed. She was like this everyday. I then changed into my clothes that I chose for school. I then decided to do a small bit of black eyeliner and a rose blush, but of course not without foundation and concealer that matched my skin tone. Grabbing my hair curler from under the sink and plugging it into the wall, I decided to grab a bit of hair from the front of my face and curl it. I brushed my hair directly after changing so it wasn't messy. After finishing my makeup, changing clothes and organizing my hair, I was ready to go. All I needed were my socks and shoes. I grabbed my makeup and pajamas and went to my room. I threw my pajamas on my bed and put my makeup on my dresser. I then opened the drawer in my dresser that had my socks in them and I got my ankle-high socks and I put them on. I grabbed my white converse shoes, my phone, and my backpack and I ran downstairs to get my car keys and go to school. When I got downstairs, I saw my mom with my keys in hand. "May I have my keys? I need to get to school." I asked. "Only this time since you asked politely. Next time, I'm driving you to school because of your behavior." Mom said. She tossed me my keys and I caught them. "Thanks. See you later." I then dashed to my car outside and tossed my backpack and phone on the passengers seat. I then started my car and closed and locked the doors. I sighed. Today was going to be an interesting day.
