Some say that to cross the Mayflower Boundary, you must first find it. But I don't think that's true.
The Sun doesn't set at the exact same time each day; Maybe a few minutes, a single minute, or even a few seconds, but never at one precise moment.
You may just be going about your day, resting in the comfort of your home, or staying up late in the dead of night. It's only natural to hear random noises every now and then, especially when you can faintly hear your name being called.
The first time, you're confused, but will quickly brush it off when there doesn't seem to be a source. The second time, you'll be just a little more shooken by it, as there didn't seem to be any reason the first time. The third time, you can just swear that you hear it, you're certain somebody has to be messing with you, but there's still not a thing.
The fourth time, don't look back. When you hear your name get called a fourth time, never stop to look. It is following you. From the fourth time all the way to the seventh time, it will try to get your attention. It may mimic the voices of those you love, but it is not them. If you wish to stay away from the Mayflower Boundary, do not acknowledge the voice.
Do not communicate with anybody after your name is called a fourth time. No matter where you are, what you are doing, leave the location immediately and return to your home, if you are not already in your home. It doesn't matter how far you are, if you don't get home as fast as you're able to, it will get you. Do not bother to hide from it, because it has already found you.
Go to your backroom mirror as quickly as possible. It is still following you. Close the bathroom door behind you. If you do not, it will get you. Now, face the mirror and turn off the bathroom lights. It is advised to keep your hand on the light switch the entire time. Do not speak, do not think, do not do anything. Just listen.
You will hear footsteps approach the bathroom door, do not panic. If you stay silent and don't move, it will pass. No matter what time of day it is, or how dark it is outside of the bathroom, you will see it's shadow. Once the shadow passes, wait seven seconds.
After the seven seconds are over, immediately turn on the lights. Do not wait any longer. If the glass of the mirror is Red, you are safe now, all the steps have been done correctly and it will never come for you again.
If the glass is Green, keep the lights on, hold your breath, close your eyes and count to ten. Open your eyes, you can breathe again, and open the bathroom door. Keep it open for seventeen seconds, and then close it immediately. Repeat the process you first did when you entered the bathroom.
Now, if the glass of the mirror is yellow, you are finally safe, and it is gone. If the glass is Green again, do not panic. You have temporarily evaded it. But it will come back, in no more than a month, no less than a week.
If you wish to guarantee that it will leave you alone, mark the exact moment where you can no longer see the Sun, write it down on a piece of paper every day that it hasn't come back for you. When you are in the bathroom again, while it is coming for you, repeat the same process, and this time slip the paper underneath the door. It will take the paper, and you are free to leave from that moment. It will never hunt you again.
But, if the glass is an iridescent color, you have entered what is referred to as "the Mayflower Boundary". Some say that to cross the Mayflower Boundary, you must first find it. But I don't think that's true. You never find the Mayflower Boundary.
It finds you.
