Work Text:
Travis was sitting there, nervously, arms folded and a brooding expression painted over his face. It was supposed to be the happiest day in his life but he felt trapped in his own fear that he might be waiting for nothing, that you wouldn't show up and he'd became the laughingstock of everyone present. He turned around as he felt a sudden shift in the room, the constant chatters lapsing into silence and all eyes fixed on the door creaking open.
You took a deep breath and entered the room, focusing only on Travis who's eyes sought yours, mouth slightly agape in awe in blank astonishment. But as soon as he spotted you in your mink fishtail dress, the tiny stones sewn across the low-cut neckline sparkling just as bright as your eyes.
Never was there anything in your life you were more sure off than marrying Travis right here and now. An unplanned turn on a road directed you right into his arms six years ago. You ascended to heaven only to fall down to hell with him but you clawed your way out together and now you were standing here in front of Travis Hackett listening to his vows ringing like angelic chant in your ears and heart.
"Yes I do", his rough voice echoed through the silent room.
A sudden pain stung through his heart as you were asked. What if you would take the last chance to escape a lifetime with him? What if you were about to realise the biggest mistake in the making? What if you woul-
"Yes I do", the warm content sound in your voice interrupted his thoughts, "don't you wanna kiss me and seal the deal, Sheriff?", you smirked at him.
Travis smiled and pulled you into a long soft kiss.
