LIFESMP DESIGN IDEA
When Grian jumped off the cliff, he landed on his back, breaking the feathers and bones forever. he broke them so badly that even with countless respawns and new seasons he won't be able to fix his wings

so lifesmp always had soulmates, and for doublelife it was just more severe.
grian and scar were always paired together. the ending of third life, when scar died, grian had felt like there was no more reason to live as the unseeable string snapped.
so, with his soulmate and everyone else dead, he jumped off the cliff
THIRD LIFE / LAST LIFE ANIMATIC
A Big Day for Grimley
and it's after the events of 3rd life. grian jumps from the cliff and suddenly wakes up back in the desert, alone and in excruciating pain from his broken wings. he tries to die, over and over, nothing. he kept respawning.
so he gets up and gives up, grabbing the sugar cane from what's left of the chests, ignoring the pool of blood and the cactus ring.
it's a timeskip and it's just grian farming, when all of a sudden, he hears a noise from behind him, so he looks. it's scar, stumbling out of the woods dazed and confused.
grian cries, hugs scar, whatever. And the two farm together before they gained an idea.
they walk toward the barriers and slightly touched it, the barrier suddenly fades and they walk out, and then boom last life begins

so i didnt think of the context do just. bare with me.
"We'll be fine, just gotta- you know, lay low, for a little bit!" Scar smiled, shrugging happily.
"And what makes you think we're going to live long enough to 'lay low'?" Grian asked back, tilting his head to the right and shuffling his already crossed arms.
"Well, the fact that I have you!" He answered back, leaning forward and watching Grian lean back in surprise.

so all three of my birds literally hate when i touch their wings - rio doesnt really mind when i preen his face feathers, though.
SO I WAS THINKING. grian doesnt let anyone AND I MEAN ANYONE EXCEPT FOR HIMSELF preen his wings. because even as close as he is with scar and as much as i am with rio, the wings are the BIRDS job.
and the tail feathers- but those rio usually lets me help with
so one day grian is preening his pin feathers on his wings, and scar asks him why grian doesnt let scar preen them for him, and grian tells him that its just a common thing not to trust anyone with his wings since he can reach them himself just fine.
scar, understandably, is hurt by this and asks what he can do to help grian anyways, to which he responds, the face feathers.
scar gets excited but grian stops him, saying that they aren't that bad right now, so he has to wait

like im just thinking about... how cats give dead things to their owners right
so so so like dessertduo right bird boy grian and then theres scar now like just think about it why do we not talk about what animal features scar has we can just. cat.
SO I WAS THINKING
scar gives little trinkets to grian
they are shiny. he is a bird. he will treasure them forever.
anyways so then when the final stance happens and grian jumps off he looses the trinkets forever and has a breakdown over it

so scar always tells grian about how much he loves his wings, how pretty they are and how he wished to have one. A thing that annoyed scar was that grian NEVER showed them off, and instead tried to ignore them and their needs as much as possible.
but with scars admiration comes grians negativity, he HATES his wings. they're broken and annoying and everything goes wrong because of them.
scar tells grian that grian should love his wings more, and he does for awhile, thinking that they could be more pretty if HE put more effort into making them spectacular.
and one day, scar tells grian about how he would love to take care of them for him, and grian snaps.
Lemme jusy. write the dialogue for it-
"--I loved them because you did! Because you were always talking about how /beautiful/ and pretty they are and how I should care for them- And for awhile I did! I really did, Scar! But they're - they're broken and mangled and they're in the way- Scar I can't love them like you do."

so yk the romantic scenes in books or some movies where like a character sees a bunch of scars on the others and goes "who did this to you"
yeah so imagine like scars fucking shirtless because for some reason in third life since he's always in a desert he just goes "yoink my shirt is off now" yeah so like imagine that and for the first time grian actually got used to the assult to his eyes he asks scar about the amount of. well. scars on scars stomach and scar just gets really quiet and grian for one second thinks he's crossed a line of some sort but then scar in a really mysterious voice just goes "you see, grian.... i have a cat. and one day she was very mad at me."
god it's so funny to think about just scar walking up really close to grian and then he says that shit and grian has to lay in the sand for a minute because of how fast his heart was going
"SCAR YOU GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!"
"how so? i told you how-"
"okay first off back- back away from me- and second you can't just STOP everything you're doing to just go 'oh yeah, my cat did it-' i thought i crossed a line there!"

grian mothman, scar is just a regular guy
scar accidentally leaves the lights on and grian gets trapped inside his house and so grian just stays in the kitchen because yummy food and when scar wakes up he's like "*yawwnnn* good morning jellie, good morning.creature of manmade horrors in my kitchen-- wait."
grian hisses and tries to fly away only to slam into the window
scars like "??? hi??"and waves and grian poofs up his wings because how DARE this mortal talk to him, even when he TRAPPED grian
they're sitting across from eachother and scar just goes "..*clears throat* so um. nice weather we're having, huh?" and grians glaring at him from across the table
scar finally tries to let grian free but now grian has found a man he will kill for so he's just kinda like in the cat bed and scars like "THE DOORS OPEN ??" and grians over there snoring away
jellies bed is now HIS no debate
grian doesn't know how to speak that well only like. "chirps" and clicking noises and so scar just starts making click noises and for awhile it works because grian gets happy whenever he does it but he has the lingering fear that he's gonna say some bad shit accidentally so he just tries to teach grian how to speak
cryptid au but it's like a cryptid hunt and they saw grian so they're hunting him down and while scars trying to gaslight these losers he's trying to make grian run away and save himself but grian doesnt want to leave scar alone with these fools so--
just murders them in the mothman way
scars like "HOLY SHIT?????"

AW they're best buds scar gets back from his job and grians chasing jellie around
cozy nights with the duo just include using those toddler word cards to teach grian words
