Work Text:
I was busy cooking the potato wedges when I heard a familiar voice from the living room,
“God, why did Kominfo block the Steam though?” he whined.
Turning off the stove, I put on some spices on the potato and brought the snacks to the living room. Ready to spend Saturday night with my beloved person,
“What happened?” I asked the man in front of me as I set down the snack bowls and our hot chocolate.
He turned his back with a pout on his face, fixing his round eyeglasses.
“Kominfo blocked Steam… I can’t open Fall Guys… I promised to teach you how to play it last Friday…” he replied, still with a pout on his face
“….I really want to teach you and show you the fun of talking with my friends through Discord while playing the game..” he trailed off as sitting down on the couch
I chuckled when listening to his answer and joined him on the couch.
“It’s fine. We can spend the night doing other things, anything you want”
“But you already prepared the snacks for our gaming session. Damn, I hate Kominfo. Huh!” he groaned as his eyes stared at the hot chocolate mugs and snacks on the coffee table.
I pat his shoulder and walked to the bookshelves near his bedroom. Realizing that there were tons of unread books on his shelves, I chose two books that might fit into his liking and mood.
When entered the living room, Wonwoo was chewing down the potato wedges with his pouty face. I smiled and went back to him with two books in my right hand,
“Since we’re not going to spend the night playing games. We can have our postponed little book clubs, can’t we?”
He turned his head and smirked when he saw the unread books in my hand,
“mmm...I bought…those books…a long time ago...mmmmhg and almost forgot about them” he said with mouth still busy munching the snacks.
Wonwoo gently pulled my wrist and signaled me to sit beside him. I sat down, put my legs over his, and rested my head on his shoulder.
“Well…. which book do you want to read?” I asked him, showing two books—one with a blue cover and the other one with a yellow cover
“Hmmm…I’ll read this” as he took the book with blue cover from my hand.
Afterward, we read in silence, immensely drown in our book. At times, I fed him with snacks or offered him hot chocolate. There was a moment when I laughed because his lips were smudged with hot chocolate. He also shifted his position and pulled me closer to his body, hugging me closer. It lasted for two hours until I yawned and closed my book, I was already in dire need of sleep.
“Look who’s sleepy” he teased
I was only able to put on a thin smile and rub my sleepy eyes.
“Here, rest on my chest, I’ll bring you to your bed later. There’s still a chapter I need to finish.”
Without further ado, I rested my head on his chest and smelled his scents that I would never get tired of. He softly brushed my hair and kissed my head as I snuggled into his warm hug, falling into the realm of dreams.
“Good night, Shil he whispered softly in my ear.
