Summary:

Very short little Jimon ficlet inspired by Tyler Shaw's 'When You're Home"

Notes:

This little fluff ficlet is inspired by the song "When you're home" by Tyler Shaw. Thanks to the amazing why6 for beta-ing this. Enjoy Simon and Jace being dorks for each other!

Work Text:

Laughter rang through the small apartment, as sunlight beamed in, the dust motes that were floating through the air look like sparkling stars as Simon’s latest track filtered through the tiny speakers on his boyfriend’s phone.

Brown eyes stared fondly into gorgeous blue and brown, love shining through both of their eyes as Jace pulled Simon up from their beaten up second hand couch, video game controller tossed to the side.

Simon laid Jace’s phone on the table before his boyfriend pulled him close.

“Hi.” He murmured softly, a smile lighting up his face as Jace linked hands with Simon’s, dancing to Simon’s song.

“Hi.” Heterochromatic eyes sparkled as he led his boyfriend in a dance, twirling around their tiny kitchen and living space.

Simon’s smile grew as Jace kissed the hand he’d placed on the blond’s cheek, linking their hands once more, dipping Simon low, only to pull him up into a gentle, slow, almost lazy kiss, the one he only gave when he woke up to Simon in his bed. The one where their limbs intertwined, one’s head on the other’s chest as Simon or Jace leaned down to kiss their other, gently pulling him up to meet his lips.

“I love you.” He murmured, pulling Simon close, their dancing turning into a slow sway in time to the song playing from the playlist of Simon’s songs.

The scent of coffee, baked goods and Jace’s conditioner filled Simon’s nose, a smell Simon had come to associate with the feeling of warmth, happiness. Home.

Simon smelled of cinnamon and something inherently Simon as Jace leaned down to kiss his boyfriend.

“I love you too.” Simon leaned up to kiss Jace again, smiling, swaying.

Both men felt safe, loved, and at peace.

Notes:

This is super short, I know. I'm thinking about turning it into a multi-chapter fic, but I'm not sure. Let me know down below what you think. As always, comments and kudos give me life and are stored among my most treasured possessions. :)
