Smoke fills my lungs and slowly scatters in the air joining the night's clouds as I breathe out.
I heard the door behind me slide open.
"I thought you didn't smoke anymore?"
Katsuya.
"I do, just occasionally. Don't think of starting though. That would be a bad idea." I said as I put the fire out on the railings.
"Don't worry, I won't." He walked beside me.
I wrapped my arm around his and leaned on his shoulder. He held my hand.
"I'm really glad to have you here with me, you know? I've always been scared to end up alone again. Whenever mob would leave, I've always wondered what would've happened to me. I mean, the kid's growing up! He's bound to leave for good someday! He barely even visits the office anymore. And that makes me wonder what I'll do next, do I have to keep doing this? And all of these just makes me feel so lost and... " I trailed off, I stopped thinking. I didnt know what to feel or how to describe it.
"Mm.." I hear him let out.
"Ah, I'm sorry for rambling again, you must be tired and didn't want to hear that from me right no—"
"No, it's okay. You can keep going."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"If you say so. To keep it short, I'm really glad you're here." I squeezed his arm tigher.
Silence. We fall silent. The only thing we can hear now is the sound of the wind and the traffic below us."
"If you think about it," I looked up at him as he started, "It was Mob who really found us both." He smiled down at me.
"You're right. Without him, none of this probably wouldn't have happened."
"Yeah, if he didn't talk to me about it. I'd probably still be in a room. While Suzuki ruled the world or something." He chuckled.
I smiled. "I'm glad he found us."
"Mhm. Speaking of him, he just called earlier, and asked if we wanted to get some ramen together."
"Is that why you came here?"
"Yeah..?"
"Oh. Sure. When?"
"Tonight." He said
"Oh, okay." I said. Then it clicked. "TONIGHT?? WHY DIDNT YOU SAY SO? LET'S GO."
