Your arms wrapped around Eddie as you sobbed into his shoulder, your body shaking and twitching from the anxiety. He wrapped himself around you with his hand in your hair. “Shh.. it’s okay. It’ll be okay. I’m here.”

“Listen, Eddie, I just really, really need someone right now.” Your words echoed into the phone as you fiddled with the wire. There was silence on the other line until his comforting voice came back through. “That’s all you had to say. I’ll be there in 15.” And with that, the call ended just as quickly as it began. Just as he said, 15 minutes passed by and there he was. He rolled up to your house and quickly jumped out, knocking at your door. You answered with tears in your eyes before jumping onto him with a hug eliciting a “Whoa there, you alright?” You sniffled, pulling back and shaking your head. “Can we talk in the car?” He nodded and you left with him, getting in his van and buckling up.
“So.. what’s going on? Why’d you need me soo badly?” He playfully stuck his tongue out at you as he drove the car. You didn’t respond well, shaking your head. “I… had sex and now I’m terrified that I’m going to get pregnant. I have a high chance of pregnancy right now. I didn’t know who else to go to, I’m so scared, Eddie.” He didn’t have a witty retort for that and instead kept driving. “Well, um, I’m sure everything will be fine. You used a condom right?”
You shook your head. “He didn’t want to.” Again, you were met with silence as he took in the whole situation. “I see. Well, um,” He parked. “It’ll all be okay! I didn’t know where to go so I took you to my castle, if that’s alright.” Just as he was about to get out, you grabbed him by the arm. Your arms wrapped around Eddie as you sobbed into his shoulder, your body shaking and twitching from the anxiety. He wrapped himself around you with his hand in your hair. “Shh.. it’s okay. It’ll be okay. I’m here.” Lightly stroking your head, he kept you close to him.
“This guy that you.. did it with- Is he your boyfriend?” You, again, shook your head. “No, I like him but he’s not dating anyone right now. Personal growth or whatever.” Eddie muttered under his breath before sighing. “Yet, that doesn’t apply to sex? I see.” He had a grimace on him as he pulled back. “Come inside. It’s a lot more comfortable.” You listened and followed him inside.
You sat on his bed, hugging yourself as more tears flowed. You’ve never cried like this before, and Eddie noticed. He sat beside you, his finger lightly tracing your cheek before wiping away a stray tear. “It’ll be okay. No matter what happens, I’ll be here. If you do end up getting, you know, pregnant-” The word slipped out of his mouth awkwardly. “I’ll help in whatever way I can. You won’t be alone.”
You wiped your tears before kissing him on the cheek. "You're really sweet, you know that? I hope that was okay to do." And with that, Eddie kissed you back softly on the lips, pulling away after a moment. "Yes, of course it was. I hope that everything works out for you... For us."
