Summary
He's not even relying on his eyes anymore. His nose carries him to the genkan, but some vaguely lucid part of him pulls back on the reins and tells him to stop, and to turn right, into the kitchen instead. He follows the strange urge in, squeezing through a doorframe that he could've sworn was larger, and sniffs at the air.
