The outro credits roll once the last member is introduced, and the video ends.

Stream in progress. Welcome to the chat!
When the stream starts, the viewers already in the waiting room are joined by a bunch of newcomers, all greeting each other like old friends. The camera shows only a view of a furnished room with traditional Inazuman influences, which the chat has come to know as their resident streamer, Shikanoin Heizou’s living room.
“Hello there, everyone,” a calm voice greets the chat. Blondish-white hair falls into view on the screen, and the chat explodes in cheerful greetings to one Kaedehara Kazuha.
“Ah– thank you for the ten gifted.. I hope you’re all doing well today? Heizou’s just gone to set up some things for the stream, so don’t worry— he’ll be back.” Kazuha says idly, scrolling through the chat and thanking donations and subscribers in lieu of the other streamer.
The peaceful aura of the stream abruptly shatters when a door is opened and a cacophony of swears and crashes can be heard in the background. Kazuha turns away from the screen to run over and help his companion balance all the things they’re holding, the redhead making a barely visible but thankful grin.
“Heyyyy chat!” Heizou calls from the back of his room, arms still spilling over with all the things that he’s holding.
“Give us a second, I swear I’ll have this all wrapped up in just a moment—” Both he and Kazuha make their way over (read: stumble their way over) to the desk setup with multiple snacks falling right onto the table when they finally sit down.
“So, chat— from all this ,” Heizou gestures to the mess that they had made on the table, “what do you think we’re doing today?” The chatroom explodes with users speculating about things like snack challenges or taste tests, and both boys take some time to read through the suggestions and laugh at them.
“Well, a few of you guessed right,” Kazuha says. “Today, Heizou and I will be trying some international snacks. These are delicacies from Mondstadt, Liyue and Snezhnaya.” He waves his hand at some of the unopened packages, then proceeds to pull out a sword and cut the packaging open. Chat starts to rant about ‘comedic timing’ and Heizou merely laughs at them.
“You know, I’ve heard stories about the things they eat in Snezhnaya, and none of them were good,” Heizou says, not unkindly.
“Perhaps— and hear me out here— they were just rumours,” Kazuha responds in kind, pulling out the first package. “I’ve never done a stream like this before, by the way, so I will admit that I’m not.. entirely certain on what to do.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve never done anything like this either,” Heizou said, ignoring Kazuha’s small defeated sigh and subsequent reply of ‘ I was considering that to be the case. ’ “I think we can just wing it, honestly. Like— chat, you aren’t expecting us to do anything too wild, are you?”
“They better not be.”
“I think that might be the closest to openly threatening I’ve heard you be,” Heizou says, opening a bag of treats. “It’s pretty hot.”
“What?”
“Nothing— anyway, these are from Liyue, and it says here on the package that they’re called..” Heizou squints. “Lucky Lantern Rite Candies. They’re strawberry flavoured.” He looks at Kazuha, who raises an eyebrow as Heizou deposits a candy in his hand.
“Let’s try it at the same time,” Heizou says. “Ready? Count of three– three, two, one—” They both open the candies’ individual packaging, taking out the pink-coloured sweet.
“It’s bumpy,” Kazuha notes. He turns the sweet around in his fingers, meaning to inspect it. “Is this a hard candy?”
Heizou, on the other hand, eats his immediately. “Maybe— actually.. No, it’s not. It’s like, it— softens? Like, it’s hard at first but then it gets chewy. A bit like gum. Mhm, these are really good actually.”
“Ah, you’re right,” Kazuha says, sounding pleasantly surprised. “I wasn’t sure if I could trust your taste or not, but you were correct about this one.”
“Hey, what’s that supposed to mean?!”
Kazuha opts to ignore Heizou, instead scooping out another handful of candies. “I’m taking these.”
“I’m kicking you out and I’m going to arrest you.”
“You wouldn’t.” Both boys stared at each other for a second before Heizou broke out into laughter and Kazuha shook his head good-naturedly.
“Okay, okay— let's– what should we try next, chat? Mods, run a poll please!”
“.. Please stop saying we should try to eat the boxes. I don’t want to go to the hospital and tell the doctors I’m there for eating cardboard.”
“You mean we’re there for eating cardboard. We’re a package deal, Zuzu!”
“Right, my bad.”

[Monopoly Gone Wrong With 5WIRL]

The video starts off with several clips from the stream that it was edited from. The first clip shows a groaning Venti slamming his face into his keyboard and screaming, the second clip is a closeup of Xiao throwing his headphones onto the floor and leaving the room, and the third clip is one of Kazuha and Aether both looking like they’re about to cry. A laugh track plays in the background.
Upbeat introduction music starts to play, and a graphic of a chibi-fied Heizou sitting down in a room that’s on fire starts to fade in. It cuts to Heizou sitting in his room, folding origami stars.
“Hello there, my lovely viewers,” he greets the camera with a smile.
“So, for those of you who were on the stream the other day, you will know that we played Monopoly together... but it didn’t really go well. Still, hopefully you’ll still find this video of us suffering entertaining!”
He pauses for a second after saying that, “Actually— I shouldn’t be encouraging that. Ah, whatever. Roll the footage, editor!”
At 7:38.37:
“I’m going to kill someone,” Xiao seethes into his mic. The footage on screen is of the group playing Monopoly, and Xiao has just landed on Venti’s property.
“Aha! Pay up, Xiao Xiao,” Venti crows triumphantly. “You know how it goes— an eye for an eye, or whatever,”
“That’s not what’s happening here though?” Aether pitches in. “You haven’t landed on Xiao’s property yet. You’re just stabbing out his eye for no reason.”
“Uh. Well.. it doesn’t matter anyway since I’m the government and I say you pay me taxes.”
Xiao, for his part, groans and hits his head against the table, but he does pay up. “I have a hundred dollars left and I swear to god if any of you assholes tax me again I’m going to strangle someone.”
“IT’S NOT MY FAULT YOU LANDED ON MY PROPERTY!”
“SHUT UP, VENTI!”
“I’M CALLING ZHONGLI!”
“Is it my turn yet?” Kazuha mumbles as Xiao and Venti get into a shouting match. Heizou is nowhere to be found and Aether only gives him a sympathetic smile while rolling the die.
At 11:12.79:
“So you’re telling me a ginger bred this man?” Heizou says, seemingly out of nowhere as his boot passes the go sign and picks up the money. The call goes silent for a second but the chatroom, on the side of the screen, starts to flash faster with more and more messages.
“..I’m sorry? ”
“Oh, sorry, I was just thinking aloud. Don’t mind me,” he hums as he stops on jail. “Uh. Well, I guess I’ve just been arrested.”
“Arrested for making that god-awful statement, no doubt,” Aether says, shuddering. “I can think of exactly two people who that would apply to and I do not want to think of them.”
“I don’t either,” Xiao says, looking thoroughly grossed out. “I think I would rather drown myself than think of.. the implications of that statement.”
“I do!”
“Venti Barbatos, I swear to God— ”
A clatter is heard in the background, and then Venti starts screaming and falls off his chair. Aether looks incredibly unimpressed.
At 18:41.28:
“Um.” At this point in time, the Monopoly screen is no longer visible. Instead, it’s just the discord call that the five streamers are in that’s on screen, featuring a visibly distressed Kazuha, one very confused looking Aether, an absent Xiao and Heizou, and a passed out Venti.
“So. That was.. fun?” Kazuha says questioningly.
“ No, it was not! ” The responding yell comes from Xiao’s mic, though it’s partially muffled— likely because of a prolonged distance to the microphone itself.
“We are never doing this again,” Aether says. Kazuha nods in agreement, and in the background, something shatters in Heizou’s room. The pieces of the object start to float, imbued with anemo energy, and Heizou’s muffled screaming can be heard.
The outro credits start to roll, and the video ends.

As the stream starts, people start to flood in and greet Kazuha, who is sitting serenely on his living room couch. “Good evening— or rather, good night everyone,” he says in a hushed voice. “I have to be quiet right now, since Heizou’s sleeping in the other room. We’re roommates, for anyone new to the stream.”
Kazuha thanks subscribers and donors while he’s setting up his stream setup, and pulls back his hair into a small ponytail once he’s done, stifling a yawn as he opens the game that they would be playing on stream.
“By popular request, we’re going to be playing Animal Crossing today,” Kazuha says, voice still quiet.
“Ah— give me a moment though, I’m not entirely used to the controls and things, so I’ll need a second to learn just exactly what I’m doing.”
“As many of you may know, I.. have actually never played an Animal Crossing game before. Heizou insisted on getting me a console so I could play it, because in his words, it’s ‘step one to initiating my success as a comfort streamer.’” He glances to the chat for a second, where he sees they’re rambling about Heizou gifting him the console and chuckles lightheartedly.
“Yes, chat, Heizou did buy me this. He got me it for my birthday last year since I got him a limited version of the Sherlock Holmes books for his.” Kazuha smiles thinking about it, causing chat to once again explode with questions and odd statements.
“Well, anyway.. Let me just get right into it.” Kazuha starts up the game and is greeted with the character customization screen, where he starts to mess around a bit.
“Should I make my character look like me or Heizou? ..Well, I don’t see any options for differently streaked hair, so I guess there’s not much of a help there either way.” He pauses the game for a second to look back at chat, “Oh, you want me to use the ‘w’ mouth? Sure, why not.”
The rest of the stream continues in a similar way: the chat coaches Kazuha through the basic controls and guides him through the rest of the game.
“You know, I can definitely see how this game got so popular—” Soft footsteps, barely audible on the mic can be heard in the background, and Kazuha turns around to greet the person responsible.
“Heizou?” His voice is much softer, and though his mic is muffled you can hear Heizou audibly yawning in the background. “Sorry, did I wake you up?”
“No.. I was just getting something from the kitchen. Are you playing New Horizons right now?” Heizou asks, voice scratchy from sleep.
“Well, it’s less playing and more being guided through everything by chat.. but yes, I am. Do you want to join me?”
Heizou turns into view of the camera, lifting one arm up to point at something out of view. “..It’s 2am.”
“So it is.”
“Why don’t you join me and sleep .”
Kazuha smiles defeatedly at the request, “Ah.. alright, then. Goodnight, chat. Next time we won’t go so late. Hopefully.”

Sorry if this comes off as rude or demeaning or whatever, but is it just me that feels icky whenever I see people all on Twitter and stuff shipping Kazuha and Heizou? Like I know they’ve both said that they’re alright with the shipping and all, but it just doesn’t rub me the right way to see people constantly insisting that they’re secretly dating or something. And even if they are, it really isn’t our right to pick apart their relationship in the way that we’re doing it.

Shikihei and Kazuhara: Are They Dating?

Editor’s note: Please keep in mind that the streamers' real names will not be used out of respect.
For those of whom are not familiar with the names Shikihei and Kazuhara, these two variety streamers and Youtubers are big in the gaming and non-gaming sides of Twitch and Youtube. Part of the streaming group 5WIRL— previously 4NEMO, these two rose to popularity and fame through their overall charisma and easy banter with each other.
Though they are both part of the same streaming group, both Shikihei and Kazuhara spend significantly more time with one another than with their fellow streamers Windborne, Alatus and Aether; and are often very emotionally open with each other, going so far as to flirt with one another on camera.
This in turn has led to many fans ‘shipping’ the two: imagining them in a secret relationship away from the screen. This shipping craze got worse when it was revealed that all five 5WIRL members were not straight in last year’s Pride Month.
So, about the dating allegations: Are they true?
Well, that is a mystery that few are privy to the answers of. Shikihei has said himself that he doesn’t mind the shippers going around and making fan pieces of him and Kazuhara, but this also holds true for those of whom like to pair the other members of 5WIRL with each other.
As there is a lot of controversy behind the whole situation, we at Yae Publishing News would prefer not to definitively take one side or the other: Instead, dear readers, we ask you this: what do you believe?
“Have you heard about that article? The one that Xingqiu wrote?” Heizou says when Kazuha enters their shared apartment. The white haired male looks at him, confused.
“No..? Why, did something happen?”
Heizou grins sheepishly at his boyfriend, beckoning him to the couch. Once Kazuha’s sat himself down on the seat, Heizou pulls out his phone and shows him the twitter timeline. “So, basically, Xingqiu wrote an article speculating about our relationship status, and.. Well. See for yourself.”
Kazuha takes his boyfriend’s phone into his hands, browsing through the tweets. Of all the ones that were on the screen, a few in particular caught his eye. “So they’re all arguing over it, huh..”
“I think Venti and Scara got in on it too. Aether and Xiao seem to just be watching the chaos from a distance this time around,” Heizou says idly. “Speaking of which, do you think we should tell them?” Kazuha assumed that the ‘them’ that he was referring to was their fanbase, considering that the both of them were already out to all their friends.
“Probably a bad idea,” Kazuha snorts. “It might encourage them more.”
“You’re right, you’re right,” Heizou concedes. “Having said that, I think we should start flirting more on stream just for fun.”
“You mean, start flirting more on stream to freak everyone out?”
His boyfriend looks up at him and gives him a toothy grin, eyes sparkling with mischief, and Kazuha thinks he might have fallen just a little more in love with Heizou. “Of course! Who do you take me for, Sara? I thrive on disorder and chaos.”
He can’t help but laugh at Heizou’s statement and the nonchalant way in which he’d phrased it. “Well, if you’re so insistent on it then I guess I’d better start composing romantic sonnets for you to read on stream.”

The video starts off with ‘Undercover Martyn’ playing in the background as a video montage of all 5WIRL members getting ready for their camping trip plays.
Among these clips is Aether and Sayu throwing a ball back and forth between each other, laughing and screaming at each other; Heizou and Kazuha both sleeping on one another with Heizou’s head tucked underneath the white haired male’s chin; Scaramouche attempting to rip out Venti’s hair and Xiao and Aether playing chopsticks with each other while Sucrose cheers them on.
Suddenly, the scene changes to the forest and the whole cast (save Scaramouche, whose voice can be heard from behind the camera) are standing in front of the trees, with their bags and suitcases all scattered around them.
“So, you know what we’re here for today?” Scaramouche asks, and the others look at each other hesitantly.
“To kill us,” Venti nods decisively. “You’re going to murder all of us and scatter our body parts around the woods.”
“..That wasn’t the original intention but now that you’ve mentioned it, I might as well—”
“We’re here on a camping trip,” Jean sighs. She looks tired already. Beside her, Sayu rolls into a clump and mutters, “Wake me up when it’s summer.”
“Well, this is going great,” Aether says.
At 5:57.29:
“I’d like to take the time right now to thank our sponsor, Raid Shadow Legends—” Venti gets out before Sayu leaps at him and starts to strangle him. Xiao, who is standing right next to the both of them, makes no move to try and help.
“GET HIM, SAYU!” Heizou screams from where he and Sucrose are both lifting a large log surrounded by anemo energy together, presumably so that they can later attempt to chop it up into firewood. Sucrose, for her part, only gives an apologetic sounding laugh as the both of them go back towards the campsite.
The camera focuses in on the struggling Venti as he attempts to kick off the shorter girl, failing miserably. “If you ever— and I mean ever— say that again in front of me I am going to rip out all your hair and make a wig from it. And I will wear it.”
“I— can’t believe you— put more effort into trying to threaten and kill me— than you do into your job!” Venti wheezes out, finally getting a good kick in.
“Just shut up and stop struggling!”
“You’ve— spent– too much time around— Diona!”
At 13:20.87:
“Holy shit, dude!” Scaramouche laughs as he watches Kazuha dive into the lake. He turns to face the camera and holds his hand up near his mouth, “I can’t believe he actually did it.”
“Kazuha! You’re going to get sick if you do that!” Heizou says, shooting a glare at Scaramouche as he pulls the other male out of the water. “Are you alright?” His voice is slightly hushed when he asks the question, to which Kazuha nods. The camera pans in on them, revealing that while Kazuha is soaked head to toe and he’s shivering, he’s still smiling. Heizou’s anemo vision blows most of the water off of him, but Kazuha is still very clearly drenched.
“Could you help me get a blanket?” He asks, clinging onto the other tightly.
“Yeah, of course— c’mon, let’s get back to the main site, Zuzu.” As they leave, Heizou once again shoots a glare at Scaramouche before dragging Kazuha into a standing position and supporting him along as they walk back.
The camera then turns to face Scaramouche, who looks highly amused. “While I know that’s going to come back to bite me in the ass after, it was incredibly funny.”
At 17:03.11:
“So basically, this was a bust,” Venti says. He is covered in tree sap and burrs, and Sucrose, who is standing next to him ashamedly, looks no better. In fact, she looks to be on the verge of tears.
“Well.. at least you stayed true to the nature of camping, I guess?” Jean says hesitantly. She’s carrying a stack of firewood, but drops it to help take the two to get themselves cleaned up.
The camera moves forward, towards where Aether can be seen scaling a large tree while Xiao stands underneath him, seemingly ready to catch him if he falls.
“Hey Scara!” Aether calls from his position up in the branches when the camera points itself at him. “What’s up?!”
“You, apparently!” Scaramouche calls up to his friend. “What are you two doing?” He turns to point the camera at Xiao, who looks both amused and disappointed. “Aether wanted to see how high he could climb, so I’m just standing here to make sure he doesn’t die.”
“A noble pursuit.”
At 23:44.09:
“So, what have we learnt about camping out in the wilderness?” Scaramouche asks the group.
“Not to bring Sayu along,” Venti grumbles. The girl in question gives him a nasty glare before kicking him in the shin. “FUCK!”
“That besides Aether and Kazuha, none of us have ever touched grass before,” Heizou says. Everyone else gives various looks and nods of agreement, and Jean sighs.
“Well, sounds about right. That’s 5WIRL signing off today, everyone!”
The screen cuts to the outro, with a short clip of all the members waving at the camera, and then ends.

The video starts off with a montage of the members of 5WIRL playing the game, with clips taken from the stream that was edited to make the video.
First is Venti, who is yelling loudly as his character gets mauled to death by the creature. Second is Kazuha, who merely blinks boredly as he runs away from the monster, volume meter staying low. The third clip is Xiao shooting the monster multiple times in the face while in the background, Aether can be seen fixing the car. It then pans over to Aether fixing it by putting on the last wheel and driving away into the distance, and the final clip is of Heizou playing as the half-blind monster and locating his friends by their volume meters.
“Hello everyone!” Venti calls excitedly to start off the video. “So, as you all know, I’m not usually the one making these intros, so when I am it means it’s an extra-cool video!”
“A little while ago, you guys made a list of suggestions that Heizou decided to look through and find the best video games for us to play.. And in that reply section, someone suggested the horror game ‘In Silence’, which, for those of you who don’t know, is a horror game based around the game mechanic of sound. We have to keep our mics on the whole time while playing, and sounds made while we’re moving through the terrain also alert the monster to us.” Venti explains enthusiastically,
“Since the monster— which is called the Rake, a fitting name for its long ass fingers— is basically like, blind, it has to operate on sound alone.” He grins and finger guns at the screen. “Which means that for us, as the survivors, we have to stay silent. Not a sound, you got it?”
At 7:00:91:
“OH MY GOD HE’S ON ME, HE’S ON ME —” Venti screams as Heizou cackles maniacally in the background. Funnily enough, the footage is not being recorded from Venti’s perspective, but rather from Xiao’s perspective as he and Aether gather the materials needed to power up the car. Looking at Xiao’s camera, it’s clear that the streamer is attempting to stifle his own laughs.
“We thank Venti for his sacrifice,” Aether whispers to Xiao quietly as they hear the last of their dramatic friend’s loud shrieks get cut off abruptly when Heizou kills him.
“Doesn’t he come back as a rat?” Xiao asks back to him, and Aether’s avatar turns to look at him, comedically slow.
“Oh shit he does doesn’t he,” is the response, and Xiao has to cover his mouth to stop his snickering.
Unfortunately though, it seems that the little bit of noise he made was a bit too loud for the monster not to pick up on, because not even a moment later, Heizou is looming over the two of them.
“What’s up guys!”
“...”
“ AAAAAAH!!”
At 14:45.21:
“How did you even see anything like this?” Kazuha asks Heizou as he stumbles through his first few attempts at playing as the monster.
“Yeah I just kinda winged it,” comes the reply from little rat Heizou. “I can’t really help with it, you know? You’ve got to kinda.. ah, get used to it I guess?”
“..I see. Still, this is somewhat annoying,” Kazuha sighs. “The playstyle of this is interesting and I am quite intrigued with it, but at the same time.. It is incredibly frustrating. If I knew how to I’d hack the game to make playing as monster easier.” He groans and the chat on screen starts to scroll by faster.
“Speaking of which, do you think it’s cheating if we’re calling on discord like this..?”
“I guess? But I’m pretty sure Aether and Venti did this too when Venti was the monster, so if they try to accuse us at least we have that going for us.”
“Fair enough.”
At 29:57.10:
“GET BACK HERE!” Aether yells into his mic as he chases after both Kazuha and Heizou, who are both sprinting back at top speeds towards the car. Venti and Xiao watch from the sidelines, scrambling around on the ground as rats.
“FUCK YOU!” Heizou screams as they get into the car and start the gas, Kazuha driving them off into the distance.
“ DAMMIT!—”
“Wait, I think that’s the first survivor win we’ve had so far! Let’s GOOOO! ” Venti shouts when they get back into the lobby. Aether groans in response.
“Yeah, yeah, just rub it in, won’t you?”
“Hey, you did as well as you could considering the circumstances!”
“It was fun, at least.”
At that, the video pans to Venti again, who says goodbye to the viewers before the outro rolls and the video ends.

“Helloooo chat!” Heizou’s voice is bright and cheery as the waiting screen dissolves into his camera, revealing that he is not alone, but instead sitting next to someone else, as evidenced by the arm wrapped around the streamer. Before the chat can start to make assumptions, Kazuha shifts into view of the camera with a hand raised in greeting.
“Good afternoon, Heizou’s chat,” Kazuha adds, smiling serenely. “How are you all doing today?”
And with that, the chat goes absolutely crazy. Heizou snickers as he watches his mods try to restrain the chat members, only to give up and put it in subscriber-only mode.
“Okay, okay— I think that’s actually the fastest record to having you guys be put in sub-only mode yet,” he commented. “Inviting Kazuha on stream is not an excuse to lose face, okay chat? We have to be good for our guest!”
“I think you’ve already had me on your stream for long enough that it’s practically a tradition for your chat to embarrass themselves in front of me,” Kazuha mutters absentmindedly, dodging the elbow Heizou aims at his stomach.
“Whatever,” Heizou rolls his eyes. “Anyway, for those of you who didn’t read the title, today we’re going to be doing another cooking stream, hence why we are in my kitchen.” The camera angle shifts to reveal the tastefully decorated background of Heizou’s kitchen and then pans over the array of various cooking ingredients and equipment laid out on the counter.
“Hopefully this time will go better than the last,” Kazuha sighs softly, chuckling when Heizou makes a move to attempt and punch him in the arm.
“The last time we did a cooking stream was 2 years ago! Plus I was high off medication and you were not helping in the slightest!”
“Alright chat, what we’ve decided to make today is slow-cooked bamboo shoot soup— a Liyuen delicacy— and vegetarian abalones with a side of tricoloured dango and Monstadtian moon pie,” Kazuha says calmly, completely ignoring Heizou’s indignant remark.
“I’m going to shove the dango sticks down your throat, Kazuha.”
“So first, we’re going to start by making the moon pie, as we know that it’ll be baking for a while on the side—”
“I hate you so much.”
“No, you don’t.”

The light breeze swept through Mondstadt as the young couple made their way over the city’s bridge.
“The scenery here is beautiful, isn’t it?” Kazuha remarks softly as he plucks a fallen leaf from his jacket. Heizou turns to look at him, and for a moment, he’s absolutely mesmerized. Despite years of dating (and before that, even more years of pining—) his boyfriend never fails to make his heart skip a beat. “Surely, it would be enough to convince anyone to become a wanderer.”
“It’s nice here, sure,” Heizou starts, “But I think the view here pales in comparison to yourself.” Kazuha looks taken aback for a moment, but as usual, the other gives little reaction besides the colouring of his cheeks and the small smile he flashes at Heizou. The redhead can’t help but lean in and steal a kiss from his boyfriend, and although Kazuha’s expression is still steady, he can just barely see past the cracks of his mask.
Still, that doesn’t mean Heizou’s satisfied with only that. “Why are you so calm and stoic all the time?!” Heizou sighs loudly. “I can never get a big reaction out of you, you know!”
“Pfft.. Are you saying that you regret accepting my confession now, then?”
“That— No, oh my—” Heizou sighs dramatically, draping himself onto his boyfriend like a cat. “Let’s just— come on, the festival is going to start soon. I don’t want to miss anything!”
“Alright, alright, whatever you say,” Kazuha laughs gently, allowing Heizou to take him by the hand and drag him into the decorated streets of Mondstadt.
Long ago, the Windblume Festival was probably a lot more lowkey, according to the records published at the time. However, as the centuries passed, it became a much more widely celebrated event, with lots more festive activities— and, of course, the tradition of giving your loved ones flowers and the Anemo Archon flowers.
“You know, sometimes I wonder why they still bother to give the flowers. It’s been eons since the gods have been said to walk our earth, hasn’t it?” Heizou says absentmindedly as he and Kazuha pass by the festival stalls.
“I believe that it’s more out of tradition and respect than any actual sort of sacrifice. Actually, I think they still sacrificed flowers to the Archons even after Barbatos disappeared.”
“Hm,” Heizou says, but he doesn’t dwell on it any longer. “Oh, hey— let’s play that!” He drags Kazuha towards a shooting games stall and miraculously manages to hit all the targets without embarrassing himself.
“And what would you like for your prize, young man?” The stall operator asked, gesturing to the many stuffed toys he had in front of him. Heizou looked back to Kazuha, who looked taken back for a fraction of a second before perusing the selection and eventually deciding on a large deer plush.
“It reminds me of you,” Kazuha replied when Heizou asked him about his choice. “And what’s that supposed to mean?!”
“Just that you’re both cute, is all.”
“I’m going to bite you.”
The next stall they ended up going to was one selling flowers, and Kazuha was the one to ask for something this time. “Could I get a bouquet of dandelions, windwheel asters, and cecilias?”
“Of course! Here you go!”
Kazuha hands the bouquet to Heizou, a sweet smile on his face, and his face flushes red when he receives it, even though he knew it was coming.
“Shouldn’t I be the one giving these to you..?”
“Well, you already won a prize for me. We could do a trade at the end if you end up winning more of these carnival games.”
“Hm.. I’ll race you, then!”

hey dude, i think you should take this down. kazuha and heizou have both expressed that theyre uncomfortable with fans taking photos of them outside unless given explicit permission, + youre intruding on their privacy by posting this online.

“I think I would have preferred the chance to come out ourselves,” Heizou says absentmindedly as he and Kazuha sit in a local Inazuman restaurant and survey the menu. “But at least they did a favour for us, by getting the media outrage to be more focused on the fact that we were outed than on our relationship itself.”
“That’s true,” Kazuha concedes. “Either way, it didn’t really matter in the end, did it?” He reaches across the table and grasps ahold of his boyfriend’s hand.
“Nothing would stop me from loving you.”
“Ah— you.. Don’t say such embarrassing things in public,” Heizou said, though his face was flushed.
“Sorry,” Kazuha said, though he was very much not sorry. “Could I make it up to you with a kiss?”
Heizou answered the question for him when he leaned in and pressed a chaste kiss to his lips, rolling his eyes all the while.
“Is that even a question, my dear?”
