steal a kiss, but from the criminal

Summary:

Hitoshi had been dating Bokutachi for quite a bit. But he realized they never actually kissed, hadn’t they? Strange. There was an easy way to fix that, however.

Work Text:

Hiding away in Bokutachi’s basement of a home was more fun than Hitoshi realized. He also realized that his house only consisted of the blank room with the chair he had been tied to along with a very small kitchen and a mattress on the floor nearby. It was no wonder why he was almost always outside. The house itself was pretty miserable. Yet Hitoshi held a fondness for it.

They sat on his mattress. Bokutachi had his arms wrapped around his middle from behind, pressing his face to the back of his neck. Hitoshi could feel his smile on his skin. He himself was scrolling brainlessly through his phone, legs extended outward and only bent up a little bit for comfortability. He was almost sitting in the other man’s lap, but he was just far enough away.

Bokutachi’s rhythmic, warm breath against him made it hard for Hitoshi to think of anything but the man. He remembered, not too long ago, when he plagued his thoughts in even the most normal of scenarios. He had felt guilty then, fantasizing over a man who had kidnapped him for all of ten or so minutes. He felt especially culpable when he would think of him whilst talking to Raku or Koneko. Especially Raku. He knew of her crush on him. He would be an idiot not to.

So when he had excused himself one night from them so confront Bokutachi, who he had seen watching him under dimly lit street lights, he had intended to yell at him to get out of his life so he could feel normal again.

But Bokutachi had such an alluring way of speaking to him. He’d gotten close to him before he could speak, mumbling low in his ear of how he wanted to do so many things to and with him, ranging from innocent to not. Hitoshi then couldn’t help but blurt how he frequented thoughts of him. And because, truly, he held a deep infatuation with him that the other clearly returned. The brunette returned his affections with an odd little half-smirk half-grin.

Then they were just… boyfriends. Like that. They hadn’t really ever gone on any dates. At most they would take walks together, but they liked to stay in each other’s homes in complete privacy from the world.

Something that Hitoshi easily observed was that Bokutachi was weird. In an endearing way, sure, but weird nonetheless. He would frequently stare at him for long periods of time, only having the decency to blush and look away after Hitoshi noticed him and gave him a five second stare back. Even when they were close together, he would stare at him with a blank face. It looked as if there was nothing behind his eyes, but after the time that he had spent with him, it became a clear show of affection. Like a cat staring and blinking at you to show you it loved you, except there was little to no blinking.

He also liked to stand behind him closely. Bokutachi would either wrap his arms around him and hold him for a moment, or merely stand and watch whatever it was he was doing. It would scare Hitoshi on some occasions when he stood behind him in silence for a while before speaking up.

When they slept together, he liked to sleep with Hitoshi on top of him. As in, he laid on his back and Hitoshi laid on his back on him like he was the mattress.

Hitoshi reminded himself that Bokutachi was a bit of a creep. It only made sense that his behaviors were like this, and it truly could have been worse than it was. Besides, he was fond of him. It never bothered him.

There was one strange thing that did bother him, however. They had never kissed. For all the talk of the unspeakable things that he wanted to do to him, Bokutachi seemed averse to doing more than holding him. Hitoshi recalled that the man once told him he’d never been in a genuine relationship before. He likely didn’t want to screw up what they had.

Well, Hitoshi thought to himself, he would be more than pleased if they kissed. Ecstatic, even. He tapped on the brunette’s knee, who was still behind him. He lifted his head from his neck, speaking with a sense that he was completely out of it for the moment as he said, “Hm? Hitoshi?”

“I’m gonna turn around,” he said. Then he added, “To face you.”

There was a second of quiet from Bokutachi, which was cut short when he joked, “You just can’t get enough of me.”

Hitoshi breathed air harder from his nose as a short laugh, then stood a little. He turned around to face him, then sat back down. Both of their legs were bent with their knees up and on the sides of each other. The blue-haired man scooted himself closer, resting his hands on the other’s shoulders. Once he had settled, Bokutachi let his hands rest at their preferred place of around his waist.

“Baby,” Bokutachi murmured. His lovely smirk was still on his face. He stared into the eyes of the other, deep blue looking into fiery red.

“Can I do something?” Hitoshi stealthily brought his hands closer to Bokutachi’s neck, praying he wouldn’t notice and either shy away or make an inappropriate comment to ruin the moment.

Luckily, he didn’t. Instead, he said, “Anything.”

Hitoshi cupped his face with his hands. Bokutachi froze. The emotion in his expression held both excitement and nervousness. His smirk grew a little strained, and his eyes widened.

He leaned in, lips parted only slightly. He paused with mere centimeters between them, their noses brushing together. Breaths were given between them. He looked at his boyfriend’s lips for a while, noting how dry they looked. Then Bokutachi said, with the upturn of his smile evident in his voice, “What are you waiting for?”

Hitoshi closed the distance between them, tilting his head a little and pressing his lips against his. The other’s lips were so dry that they were chapped, though it didn’t bother him. He closed his eyes, and felt Bokutachi’s eyes flutter shut as well. Hitoshi pulled away with practically no distance between them, only doing so so he could tilt his head the other way and kiss him again. He performed this action multiple times, giving the other short kisses that were returned after a full second of processing.

He felt hands moving up his back, gloved fingertips grazing his spine and shirt. Then, with no warning, Bokutachi pressed a hand flat on his back and the other up to the back of his head and pulled their bodies closer together. He twirled his blue hair around his fingers as he held his head in it.

Bokutachi moved away, a flushed smirk on his face. Hitoshi heard him catch his breath shortly, then he kissed him before he could say anything. He kissed him deeply and for longer than Hitoshi held.

Then they both pulled away. Hitoshi felt a funny smile on his face and heat on his cheeks, looking back at the other man to see him still leering and blushing. The other then spoke, saying, “What brought that on, you little scoundrel?”

Hitoshi gave a short chuckle. “You’ve never kissed me before.”

“Oh?” Bokutachi put on a more teasing front, but Hitoshi saw his eyes flicker to the side in what was unclear to be embarrassment or consideration.

“And, well,” he tilted his head, “I wanted to.”

Silence. Then snickering, which evolved into louder giggling from the other man.

“What’s so funny?” Hitoshi asked, smiling but feeling genuine confusion.

“Ohh,” Bokutachi said, “you love me, you dirty little…” He cut himself off, pressing a chaste and quick kiss to the other’s lips. Then his chin. Then his jaw, and then another on his neck. His chapped lips made the feeling strangely nice.

Hitoshi held back a snort at the ridiculous yet somehow charming behavior. He questioned, through the fast kisses peppering his face and neck, “Why didn’t you?”

The action stopped. He could practically hear the cogs turning in the other man’s head as he constructed an answer. “I don’t really know.” He sat up straighter, looking at him. Then he stared into his eyes, almost intensely until Hitoshi realized he was having another moment of blankly and creepily staring at him.

Hitoshi chuckled, causing Bokutachi to blink and grin sheepishly to himself.
