Chapter Text

The world seemed to be crying as a young boy of eleven years stood alone staring at the hole in the ground. Everyone else had left the boy who had just lost his mother alone. Izuku Midoriya, son of Hisashi a pro hero named drake, and Inko Midoriya a well known discrimination lawyer was only eight years old and had now lost everything. Two years ago his father had been killed during a raid, and now his mother was gone and he didn't know what to do. He was truly and utterly alone. He had asked the social worker lady to call his uncle but the woman had scoffed and said he didn't have such a person on record. Because he was just a quirkless boy they ignored the words he had stated about the uncle he had. A quirkless child couldn't have an uncle who was a hero, especially an underground hero.

He just wanted his uncles, he wanted their hugs and wanted them to tell him everything was okay. He knew they had not been told about his mama’s death, if they had they would have been there right then. The news had kept her name out of the story for privacy reasons. His uncle sSo was not blood, but he was better than blood, he had always been there for them, even if he couldn't be there all the time because of his many jobs he still cared for them all. Izuku looked up as the stiff looking woman cleared her throat standing under an umbrella and glaring at him.

“Let's go. They are waiting for you.” she growled out to the younger. He nodded knowing better than to argue. Arguing just made people mad and he was already too sore to allow that to happen. He wiped his face and sniffled as he followed the social worker to a car. He tried to be quiet through the car ride but he was upset, and he kept sniffling. He looked up as the car came to a stop in front of the orphanage and he shuddered. He knew the statistics for kids like him in the foster system. He was already abused badly in school, and he knew this was just going to be as bad or worse. He missed his family, he missed having kats care for him like before he was diagnosed. He missed warm smiles and tight hugs.

He shook himself from his thoughts and got out of the car, clutching his backpack to his chest. He was a bright kid, he knew not to let his belongings go. He was already reading college textbooks and working on hacking and coding. He needed to learn coding so his analysis was never in the wrong hands and used against the heroes he loved. He sighed and followed the woman into the home and flinched when he felt eyes on him. He knew the rules, head down, make yourself small, never ask for anything, and hope they forget you exist.

He knew the act he needed to put on, the forums had coached him on this for years now and he was good at it. No one really knew izuku anymore, except his uncles of course but they were not here. He really hoped they would find him. The caretaker looked at him with a sneer.

“So this is the null huh… well i guess it should be good for something. We will just have to wait and see. The others will take you to your room, the rules are written out on the wall. Make sure to follow them or there will be consequences. Now get out of my face.”

One of the other kids motioned to be followed, a young girl with a lizard mutation. He was fascinated by it but he bit the inside of his cheek to keep from muttering. They led him through the house and to a tiny room with nothing in it, not even a bed. The girl shoved him into the room and laughed when he fell, tears in his eyes. She rolled her eyes and walked away. Izuku sighed trying hard to calm himself down as he stood and looked at his surroundings. It was going to be bad, he knew it as he realized he was never going to be happy or cared for here.

That day, he was not fed dinner or lunch, his stomach cramped up as he lay on the hard floor with his backpack under his head as he tried to fall asleep. He had school the next day and needed rest to dodge his bullies. The teachers didn't do anything to stop kats and his friends from attacking him, but he was fast, quiet and good at hiding. His dad had taught him stealth after all, ever since he had decided he wanted to be a hero even without a quirk. He smiled sadly as he remembered his parents. It was hard and made his chest hurt. Soon he fell asleep, tear tracks drying on his face.

The next morning izuku was woken up by hot water tossed on him. He opened his eyes and cried out in pain.

“Get up null, you have ten minutes to get up and get out. Be grateful I put a granola bar on the table for you.”

The caretaker growled before walking away. Izuku tried hard not to cry as he got up off the floor. His body hurt and he was stiff. He didn't have time to stretch if he wanted to avoid the woman again. He grabbed his uniform from his school bag and dressed quickly. Glad to be in dry clothes now. His skin still hurt from the hot water, he was glad it hadn't been boiling though. He was quick and silent as he moved through the house and grabbed the small snack bar from the table and slipped from the house.

As soon as he was a few blocks away he took a deep breath of relief to be out of the house. He wasn't safe there, he shouldn't be there but he couldn't do anything about it. He was a child in elementary school, and he was quirkless at that. He wished he still had his phone, he wanted to call uncle Sho, he wanted to check the forums and tell them what was happening. He walked slowly towards the school, his white hair falling messily in his emerald green eyes. He was glad to have parts of each of his parents. It made him feel like they were still with him even if they were gone.

He stopped by a small cat café and smiled at the barista standing at the counter.

“Hey Izu! It's been a while. The usual?”

He nodded with a small smile as he pulled out a small handful of change and placed it on the counter. This would probably be the last time he came in for a while. The girl placed a hot chocolate in a to-go cup on the counter with a smile before wishing him a good day at school. He was not going to bother her with the problems of the last few weeks. Not yet at least. He could handle this, he could be independent and strong.

He drank his treat as he walked the rest of the way to the school. It was close to the time the bell rang and as soon as he was finished he tossed the cup into a bin and ran into the school gates and to his classroom slipping into his desk before anyone would notice he was there. The bell rang and he sighed softly as the teacher walked in. He studied the room and the kids around him. Kats looked bad, bags under his eyes and head down as he listened to the teacher speak.

The day went about as good as he expected. He didn't have lunch so he hid himself away on the roof of the school during that period, not wanting to annoy kats anymore than the boy already was. He knew the boy was a ticking time bomb. And he knew it would hurt when he exploded. The afternoon got bad though. He had started daydreaming and zoning out and apparently he didn't hear the boy say something to him. That seemed to be the end of the countdown and kats exploded, literally at izuku. Pain seared his skin as the boy used his quirk on him.

“Think you're too good to listen to the teacher's deku?!” he yelled

“N..no kats…i promise.”

“Stop calling me that you worthless fleck of dirt.” he exploded again right by his left ear, a high pitched ringing flowing through his head, sound now fuzzy as the boy yelled at him more.

“It's your fault auntie is gone! If she hadn't had such a worthless quirkless child she would still be alive!”

Oh that hurt, because he had thought the same many times since her death. His heart breaking as his once friend yelled at him those words. Tears filled his eyes, the lackeys around him laughing as they moved closer to the boy when Katsuki walked away angry. One of them had a sneer on his face as he moved closer and used his quirk, one that let him make knives from his fingers and carved into his face as two others held him down. He screamed in pain as the kid slashed down his face and over his eye. His vision dimmed and he blacked out.

He woke up a few hours later and couldn't open his eye. He could still feel the blood slowly leaking from the wound, his face on fire as he fumbled for his backpack. He was no longer in the school but outside it on the soft ground. He found his backpack after a little while and pulled out a spare shirt and placed it over his battered face. He made his way slowly to the clinic, one run by those society thought lesser of, and one that didn't care about quirk status. He stumbled through the doors to a gasp of the older woman who worked there.

“Zuzu what the hell happened to you!” she cried out as she went to pick up the small hurt boy. She was careful of hurting him even more as she took him to one of the rooms and laid him on the bed. He didn't reply to her, still in too much pain. She sighed and put on some gloves before using her quirk on him numbing the pain in the burns and in his face before taking the shirt away from his face. She hissed when she saw the damage.

“Oh zuzu..I'm so sorry…i think you're going to lose sight in that eye…you need to tell your uncle what's going on.”

“I cant obasan….mama’s gone and I don't have my phone and now I'm in an orphanage and i have no one. They didn't believe me about him and now…I don't think he knows.” he cried out to the woman. She wrapped him in a hug cooing to him trying to calm the small boy down. He passed out from exhaustion in her arms and she lay him down before she stitched up his face. It was going to scar badly and she knew it. Her heart was breaking as she looked at the boy before her. He was such a smart sweet boy and now he was alone. He had to go through too much and she wished she could help him more.

When izuku woke up next he had a bandage on his face and a patch over the eye to keep it closed. He read the note telling him what needed to be done and to come back in a few weeks to get his sight tested and the stitches out. He knew obasan was upstairs in her apartment or helping other patients. He grabbed his bag and headed out, his depth perception was off now and it would make things so much harder for him. By the time he made it back to the orphanage it was late. He silently walked into the house and slipped into his room without anyone spotting him. He was so tired, emotionally empty and numb as he lay down for the night.

Chapter Text

The days turned to weeks, and weeks into months. Things got worse for the young izuku. The sight in his left eye was gone and the eye itself was now milky white. A deep scar down his face was a lasting memory of what had happened. He was suspicious of how kats was acting when he saw the wound but he figured he was just being smug or annoyed that he himself had not caused the damage.

The light in Izuku's eyes had dimmed over time, he had gotten thinner and his skin paler. He was quieter and flinched more at everything. No one seemed to notice it seemed, or at least no one really cared.

They were now in third year elementary school and it was the worst in his life. He had gotten used to the pain, gotten used to his lack of sight and had compensated easily, but he was losing hope. Half way through the year, a year and three months since his mothers death, his twelfth birthday had come and gone and now he was being held back in class. Everyone snickered as he sighed and nodded. Three other teachers walked in as everyone walked out and he was confused by it. He didn't know why all the teachers had come in and it scared him.

Once the door closed they were on him, beating the boy and yelling about him being useless and should have killed himself by now. They were going to have their fun and then make it look like he had done it anyway. He was battered and bloody being assaulted in ways no one should ever be. One of the teachers pulled out a blade and his heart stuttered. He was going to die. The sound of the door opening seemed to freeze the women as they turned and looked. Standing there was Katsuki Bakugou, his eyes wide and angry and filled with tears as he saw the boy bleeding and half undressed on the floor.

Katsuki felt anger and fury flood through him as he saw the smaller boy on the floor and he attacked. He couldn't let them take him away too. He was the last of the family he had. He had been thinking and going to therapy for a while now and he knew what he had done was wrong now. He wanted to apologize but didn't know how, not after all the bad he had done. Now seeing what the teachers had done and what they were trying to do to the boy made him straighten up and attack. Using his quirk to protect and help instead of hurt.

He attacked the teachers yelling as he did so, making them back off. As soon as he was able to get close he picked up izuku and booked it out of the school. He was crying, the angry boy terrified and feeling like it was his fault as he carried the younger boy through the streets and towards his own home. He wanted to fix this, he needed to fix this and his mom would help him help the boy who used to be like another son to her. She would help the boy as much as she could. Even if it wasn't more than tending his wounds and feeding the light boy.

One year ago

Shouta sighed, shaking his head as he got off the phone with the commission. They were calling him and oboro in for a long term mission. He rubbed his face and turned to his other husband who was sitting at the kitchen table going over the paperwork for UA. he walked over and sat down with a groan.

“They called me in zashi. I need to leave tonight and meet up with Boro to join the mission.”

“It's okay panther, I had a feeling you would be called in, i'll hold down the fort dont worry about it. Just stay safe and make sure you and ro come back safe.” the blonde gave him a megawatt smile and leaned over and kissed him before going back to his paperwork, this was normal for them after all. He did feel bad that he would have to miss zuzu’s birthday and such but he would make sure to send a gift and a card when he could. The dark haired hero stood and went to the bedroom to pack and get ready for the mission.

The mission took six months to complete and the two finally arrived home to even more busy madness, school was starting and Nedzu had asked him to come in and discuss the program they had been planning for so long. They had finally been given free reign and approval for it. They were all excited for this, the three husbands had been trying to get the underground hero unit project passed for years. They needed more unders, and U.H.U’s were the best way to keep everyone safe in the field. With the final approval from the commission they had so much to work out. Sadly that meant everyone was busy for almost a year. One day shouta was cuddling up with oboro with hizashi at the radio station when a thought came to him. It wasn't unusual for them not to see or hear from the midoriya’s often but this was too long. Something in his chest tightened as he picked up his phone and dialed the number he knew as well as he knew his husbands.

When the message about disconnection came on the line dread filled him. Something was definitely wrong. He dropped the phone and turned to his husband with fear in his eyes.

“Boro… somethings wrong, we haven't seen or heard from the family in too long…and I just called inko and her number is disconnected.”

“Okay shou, take a breath. I'm sure it's nothing..let's call the rat god and see if he can help us.”

He nodded and let the blue haired man make the call. He listened to the speaker as the rat typed away on his computer trying to locate those closest to his students. Those he considered family as well. After a few minutes the mammal came back on the line.

“Well… this is unexpected…. I'm sorry boys apparently inko died last year.. I don't know why none of us were notified about this. I'm still trying to find out what happened to Izu. Someone seemed to have failed to file proper paperwork for our little analyst. I'll find him, don't worry.”

The phone disconnected and both men sat in stunned silence. Anger and fear and sadness flowed through them as they sat there. Izuku was alone, abandoned by them and it was his fault. Had he not gone on the mission he would have known sooner that something was wrong. Shouta stood and began to pace back and forth mumbling to himself trying to make a plan and figure out how to get his nephew back.

Oboro called Zashi and told him he needed to get home, and soon. Something had happened and they needed their sunshine. It was an hour later the blond walked into the house and looked at the other two in concern. When he was told what happened he lost control of his quirk a few times to shouta’s dismay. The three men were inconsolable for a long time, and the anger grew within them as time passed. Nedzu was having trouble finding any paperwork for the boy and it was making the rat feral. He thought of the small boy as a grand kit after all and he wanted to rip apart anyone who harmed the small white haired boy.

Shouta was in class when he got a text from Nedzu about izuku, it had been too long and he was losing hope. He knew what society was like for villain quirked kids, and he knew it was worse for the quirkless. He looked at his phone, his quirk activating as he read the information he had been given. His students sunk into their chairs at the angry aura surrounding their teacher. He pocketed his phone before turning to his class.

“Quiet study the rest of the period. If you need anything, midnight is in the staffroom.”

And with that he left the classroom and headed from the school. Apparently the rat had found his nephew, apparently the kid was in an orphanage and had been there for a long time. He had found a police report from one mitsuki bakugou that had been filed but never followed up on about aldera elementary school and teachers assaulting the boy. Furry flowed through him as he moved along the rooftops. He called the school to find out izuku wasn't there that day and turned to readjust his course.

He was now headed for the orphanage, he texted tsuki to meet him there and even if the man wasn't there when he got there yet, shouta was getting his boy out of there. He jumped from the rooftop close to the house and took a deep breath. He liked being a hero, and murder was wrong and would mean he couldn't see his husbands anymore. He looked over the house for a few minutes before going forward and knocking on the door. A few minutes waiting and the door opened to a stiff looking woman looking down on him.

“I'm so sorry but we don't give charity to the homeless.”

“Ma’am my name is shouta aizawa, pro hero eraserhead, i'm here for one of your residents.”

His voice was dead and even as he spoke and handed his hero license to the woman. She perked up and plastered on a smile.

“Oh! Well then come in come in! We have many different residents you’d be interested in. such heroic quirks”

He followed the woman into the house and looked around suspiciously. It seemed there were locks on the outside of doors, and on the fridge and cupboards in the kitchen. This was not looking good one bit. He was led into a living room area where kids were milling around.

“Ma'am, I'm looking for a specific child. Where is midoriya izuku”

The woman sneered and then covered it quickly.

“I'm sorry sir, but we don't have a child by that name here.”

“Stop lying to me, we already know he’s here, and his school let me know he had not been in today. Now where is my nephew”

“What do you want with a quirkless runt anyway he’s useless! And he has no family or he wouldn't have been sent here.”

Shouta moved closer to the woman, a growl coming from his throat and his eyes flashing red with his quirk in his anger.

“Where.is.he” he growled at the woman. She closed her mouth and took a step back in fear but not saying another word. He grabbed her and cuffed her with quirk suppressant cuffs as she began to yell and tell him he had no right to be there or search the house.

“I have every right, when you are keeping my nephew from me. Detective Tsukauchi is on his way with a warrant. Now I'm going to find my nephew.”

He moved through the home and up the stairs to where the bedrooms were.

“Marco” he called out to no one in particular. He looked around standing still waiting for a response.

“P..po…polo” a small weak voice called out quietly from down the hallway. He ran after pinpointing the room the sound was coming from to find it locked. Without thought he stood back and kicked in the older looking door. He rushed into the room to find izuku curled up in the corner, thin and in pain. A deep scar down his face and once emerald eye now cloudy without sight. The sight of the vibrant boy he had grown to love, who he had watched grow into the brilliant boy he remembered, now reduced to skin and bones, covered in bruises and huddled in fear made his heart break.

“Oh bunny.” he whispered out as he slowly went to kneel by izuku. The boy blinked for a moment as if he wasn't sure what he was seeing. As soon as it dawned on him he moved and flung himself into the man's arms sobbing violently.

He wrapped his strong arms around Izuku and held him tight.

“It's going to be okay, bunny. I'm here now…I finally found you.”

“I..i thought you forgot me.” he mumbled between sobbs

“Never little one I promise. We have been looking for you for months. No one told me about what happened. Oboro and Hizashi and nedzu and i have been trying to find you and now we aren't letting you go. No one will ever hurt you again.”

“I want to go home..” he cried hard as he huddled into the man's chest.

“Soon, I promise. But i need to take you to see chiyo first okay… tsuki is downstairs taking the horrible woman away.”

He sobbed harder at that, clinging to the man he loved, his hero. Shouta stood his knees cracking as he did so, he had not been kind to his body over the years. He turned and looked around the room in horror, blood soaked and stained the walls and the floors. No bed, just a ratty old blanket on the floor. He was so angry as he walked from the room after grabbing the boy's backpack.

He walked from the house and shaded the boy's face when they walked out into the sunlight. Tsukauchi looked at the hero and shook his head.

“Get him looked at eraser, I'll come by in a day or two to get his statements. And I promise whoever is responsible for this will be punished.”

Sansa had tears in his eyes as he watched the dark haired man walk away. The boy had been part of so many people's lives for so long. First with his own father, and then his mom and uncle. To see the bright boy look half dead was painful to all who knew him.

Shouta made it to UA some time later. Izuku passed out from tears soon after they left the home. He scanned his id and headed into the school grounds. When he reached the infirmary he was met with oboro, hizashi, and nedzu waiting for him. He laid the boy down and stepped back. The gasps from the others in the room were filled with heartbreak. He turned dark eyes to look at them and was soon wrapped in strong arms. Nedzu’s fur was ruffled and fury in his eyes as he walked closer to the kit in the bed.

Chiyo came out of her office with tears in her eyes as she examined the boy. He couldn't be healed with her quirk at all, he was so malnourished and exhausted it would kill him if she tried. Instead she set up IV fluids and nutrition for the boy and tended his wounds by hand. When she was finished helping the boy she stood back and walked over to her colleagues, her family.

“I cant use my quirk on him boys. He is incredibly malnourished and probably hasn't slept much in weeks. He has a few broken ribs, and so many scars. I don't know what the boy has been through but it’s more than an eleven year old ever should. He’s going to need us all to heal.”

“What about…what about his face?” Hizashi whispered not taking his eyes off the sleeping boy.

“I'm not sure what happened to him, but whoever took care of the wound did an amazing job. It could have been alot worse if not. It looks like he doesn't have sight in his eye it looks like but I won't know the extent until he is awake.”

The men nodded and cuddled each other as they sat down to wait. Nedzu walked away after patting them on the knee before he headed to the office to start taking down a school district, lock up a bunch of police officers and burn down an orphanage and anyone else he found that harmed his kit.

Chapter Text

The entire faculty of UA high had been in a panic for the last few months, and now all the staff were subdued, each one had gone down to see the small green bean that was family to them. When they had heard the boy was found they rejoiced until they heard what condition the child was in. it broke their hearts to see his ribs showing, and the large scar maring the skin on his face. Chiyo checked on him constantly, letting the nutrients of the fluids she was giving him help him heal physically at least.

Three days had gone by since shouta had brought the boy to the infirmary and he had yet to wake. It hurt to see such a vibrant boy so still. They had planned to bring him into the plan of the unit when it was approved but now they weren't sure if he would even wake up let alone still wish to become a hero. After all, it had taken more than a year for any hero to find him in hell. They all knew the boy had dealt with bullies at school after his diagnosis, they had helped him the best they could without burning the school to the ground. The kid had begged them not to, telling them he could handle it all.

Right then the three men lay together cuddled in each other's arms asleep. They hadn't left the bedside of their now son since he had been laid there. Lunch rush had brought them food and drink himself to keep them going, the other teachers had happily covered the classes for shouta and hizashi. Oboro had asked their sidekicks to watch over the agency so they didn't have to worry about anything but the boy before them. It had finally gotten so bad they had asked midnight to knock the three of them out, which was why they were now asleep in the uncomfortable chairs.

Izuku slowly stirred to wakefulness. His body hurt but he was warm and comfortable and it didn't make sense in his sleep-addled brain. It took him a few minutes for memories to come back to him. Of being locked in the room after being beaten by the other kids, of hearing the voice he had dreamed of for so long fill his ears and letting parched lips respond. Remember the door being kicked in and his uncle being there his arms wrapping around his small frame telling him finally he was safe. Tears began to fill his eyes as he opened them slowly to dimmed lights and his uncle asleep in bibi zashi and uncle clouds arms. The relief that it wasn't just a dream and that they had really come for him made him choke out a sob waking the three men from their sleep.

Their faces were confused at first as to what woke them but after a second all three men saw the boy laying there looking at them crying. Without thinking all three men had their arms around the sobbing child. He was apologizing constantly as they did the same. They felt it was their fault the poor kid had been hurt so badly. Zashi pulled back as the tears began to slow and gave a small but genuine smile as he wiped the tears from the young boy's face.

“It's okay Jelly bean, we’ve got you now. And we won't ever let you go.”

“That’s right bug, we missed you so much. I'm so sorry we weren't there. We love you so much.” oboro whispered into the fluffy white hair that was matted and greasy, they would fix that soon for the poor kid.

“They’re right, bunny. Nedzu has the papers all drawn up and submitted. You're ours now and forever.”

The boy sniffled and looked at all three of them before a small but real happy smile came to his lips.

“You..you really want me? I missed you all so much, they told me i was lying when i told them about you… and…and they wouldn't call tsuka or sansa or anyone to confirm it and…and i thought i had lost you all.”

The boy babled out and they hugged him close again, reassuring him anyone who had been the cause of his pain would be punished for their actions. Tears fell again and the men were glad for the IV now with all the tears the kid was spilling he would be even more dehydrated if not.

Chiyo came in with a bright smile seeing the family all in the bed together. She then put on her stern nurse face and walked over her cane clicking on the floor as she walked. She cleared her throat and glared at the heroes.

“Alright alright you three. Stop smothering the boy with your stench. Get up and go shower and change. And don't come back until you smell like actual heroes!” she waked them all on the shins as she scolded them and the sound of a small giggle made everyone's heart sore. They all knew she had done it for exactly this reason, after all if the boy could see them arguing and being scolded he would know things were okay, almost like they used to be. The men nodded and got to their feet after giving kisses to Izuku's forehead and chiyo fearful looks and hands raised in surrender.

Hand in hand the three walked from the room and headed to the staff room where they each had a bathroom attached to their offices. Oboro would borrow one of theirs after they were clean. He wasn't really a teacher in the school after all. He preferred to focus on his hero work. As soon as they entered, those in the lounge flooded around them asking for updates and asking why they were there and not still with izu.

“Okay guys. Izu is awake. Chiyo kicked us out to shower and change so she could look him over in privacy. He's going to be okay, and you can visit in a few days.” shouta answered them all at once.

“Lunch rush, could you make him something easy on the tummy but full of nutrients. Not katsudon, no matter how much he will beg for it,”

The chef chuckled and nodded before heading out clapping oboro on the shoulder as he went. Once everyone had their information the men separated and went to go shower and finally get clean again. It was a good thing they stored spare clothes in their offices as they did. Hero work was messy and it was good to have random clothes stashed around in places. Even oboro had clothes here, after all he was nedzu’s student and once a student always a student of the rat.

Izuku smiled as he talked with granny chiyo as she worked on changing his IV and such. She was always so gentle with him as she worked and had been since he was a baby. Lunch rush brought him a bowl of soup and he thanked the man happily as he ate. Chiyo chatted with the boy about new heroes she had met as he ate, not wanting to discuss the things on her mind while the poor boy was enjoying his meal. Soon though the boy had a full stomach and an empty bowl on the side table.

When she asked him about the scar his smile disappeared and he curled in on himself. With a small voice he told her what happened to him. How he went to the clinic afterwards, how no one had helped him at all. As he spoke the flood gates opened and he told the elder woman everything, about the bullying in school, about how the home had refused to feed him properly and he was beaten by both caretakers and other kids. He told her how Katsuki had changed after he was scared and how he had saved him from the teachers abusing him. How his friend had come back to him finally after many years.

The woman became pale as the boy spoke. He had been so badly abused. And he had almost been raped by people who should have been keeping him safe. Adults who should have been teaching and helping the smaller boy. Her hands were shaking in rage as she wrapped the boy up in a hug and reassured him over and over again that he was safe and what they did was wrong and not his fault.

She knew they were going to have a long road ahead of them, but she also knew izuku was an incredibly strong child. He would be alright with time. After a while the boy had cried himself to sleep and the three heroes returned with soft looks on their faces before seeing the tear stained face. Shouta looked at Chiyo, concerned and she motioned for them to sit down.

“This isn't going to be easy boys… I asked about his eye and he just broke down. He was abused in his school by students and teachers alike. The home was the same holding food and other necessities away from him. And…” the woman swallowed harshly. “Apparently he was almost raped while being beaten by his teachers. If it wasn't for that bakugou boy they would have done it.”

The color drained from all three faces and fury flared in their eyes.

“I'm going to burn that school to the ground with everyone inside of it.” Hizashi growled out.

“No zashi.. We need to call tsukauchi and get official statements. Nedzu will help us gather evidence as well. They will rot in tartarus” shouta spoke trying to calm his husband but knowing it wasn't really going to help, not when all three of them were angry and sick to their stomachs.

They sat down and tried to figure out the next steps of action. They wondered if he would really be okay or not. They wondered so many things and blamed themselves the entire time. They worked together on their phones and tablets trying to get everything together. Now that the boy was safe they still had jobs to do in between gathering evidence and communicating between the needed parties.

Two days later, Chiyo walked in and looked at the three of them with a soft smile.

“Alright, your vitals are doing better and you're not dehydrated anymore. I think we can let you go home later today. You finally have enough stamina for me to use my quirk kiddo”

Izuku began to bounce up and down in excitement. He was so happy to hear those words. The boy was still skin and bone but recovery girl had given the three men a meal plan for the boy and told him she would come and check on him often. He couldn't believe he was finally able to go home. To see his room in their house again, to snuggle the cats that used to follow him around like ducklings. Everything was going back to normal.

“Bunny, tsuki is going to come by later today to take your statement. Is that alright?” shouta asked in a soft voice he only used for his family.

Izuky chewed his lip thinking about it before a determined look crossed his face and he nodded.

“I can do it uncle shou! if .. if i'm gonna be a hero one day like you, i need to be brave right?”

“Thats right bug, but if it gets too much it's okay, you went through a lot and it's okay not to be okay. Remember what hound dog says.” oboro smiled while hizashi chuckled softly beside him.

“Okay! I'll try to remember, I promise….i.. I can still be a hero right.” His voice was small and quiet as he asked the question that had been on his mind for so long. The three men looked at each other then him with huge smiles on their faces.

“Of course” the three answered at once and the boy brightened up at their words.

Chiyo came over and gave the boy a kiss to start the healing process to speed up. Izuku felt a wave of exhaustion flood him even if it wasn't as bad as it could have been. He curled up with the new bunny stuffed animal uncle shou had brought him the day before and fell back to sleep, cute little snores coming from him every now and then.

By mid afternoon the four were finally on their feet, izuku had his small backpack and stuffed animal in his arms as he followed them through the school. They stopped at the staff room to give the staff hugs before they headed back to the house izuku holding onto oboro’s hand as he walked a bit unsteady on his feet.

Seeing the bright yellow car made the boy giggle a bit when he saw it. Shouta and oboro gave him a fond look as Hizashi stuck his tongue out at him.

“It's a good color jelly bean!” he cried out in false indignation as the boy began to laugh harder at the man's antics.

The car ride didn't take too long to get back to the medium sized home. Izuku watched out the window as they drove happily watching everything fly by. Once they parked the car he looked at the house with a wobble of his lips. He felt like such a weak cry baby as he felt tears pool in his eyes. A cloud lifted him off his feet and brought him over to oboro.

“What's wrong bug?”

“I..i never thought i'd see it again.”

“Well now you never have to worry about that. We aren't letting you go.” Hizashi ruffled the boy's now clean untangled hair. Izuku leaned into his hand, eyes closing as he sent up a prayer of thanks to kami. He was doing better physically and mentally he was still somewhat numb. He knew intellectually he was going to crack and break at some point but for now he would bask in the normalcy he was experiencing.

He let oboro lead the cloud he now sat on into the house after hizashi unlocked the door and let them inside. He looked around the house happily. Seeing the cats coming closer he jumped off the cloud and knelt down, hand stretched out for them to sniff. The three felines looked at him for a moment before meowing and climbing onto him remembering the small boy that used to give them treats and pats.

The men laughed, shaking their heads as they removed their shoes and headed into the house. They tossed their bags into the rooms easily. Soft coos and giggles came from the boy sitting now in the living room with the three cats playing and fussing over him happily, as if they knew he needed loving. Of course their eldest feline, a large tabby with a mutation of two tails, was snuggling close to the boy purring like a motor boat. They had no idea why the feline had two tails or why she seemed different from other cats but they just accepted it.

The men sat down on the couch to watch them together. Zashi pulled out a book and shouta grabbing some marking he needed to do. Oboro leaned back and snuggled into them and closed his eyes, finally feeling relaxed for the first time in a year. The family stayed like that for some time. After a while izuku turned on the hero news and began to watch as he had when he was younger and would come over.

Hizashi headed to the kitchen and began to cook dinner later that night for the family. Following the meal plan for izuku for now, no matter how much he wanted to spoil the boy with his favorite foods he knew it would make him sick. He still wasn't able to eat even half a full meal.

“Uncle shou?”

“Yes bunny?”

“Will..will you still train me…i..i know i can't see as well…but..i really want to be a hero like you.”

The hesitation the boy had in him now made shouta angry, he had never hesitated before like this when with family. Someone had hurt and broken the boy's spirit and he was going to do everything he could to repair it.

“Of course, bunny. I was going to wait a few weeks to talk to you about this but….nedzu got the U.H.U project approved, and he wants you to lead the first unit trained. We don't have all the details but he asked me if you wanted to have him teach you instead of public school as well. And help him plan the project with us.”

The boy was literally vibrating in his spot on the living room floor as shouta spoke. He chuckled softly as the boy nodded. Sometimes he wondered how the boy's head stayed on when he was like that. Home schooling was technically illegal until highschool but because it was nedzu he was able to pull strings and get him registered under a ua banner.

“Alright bunny, but first you need to do a few things.”

“W.what do i need to do uncle shou?”

“First, you need to get healthy. No training physically until obasan gives you clearance. And second I want you to start seeing hound dog.”

The boy chewed his lip until Oboro stopped him. “Gentle bug, gentle”

“It's not a punishment bunny, you went through alot. You also know pro heroes see therapists. We want you to be healthy, body and mind.”

“Oh..okay uncle shou…i think i can do that!”

He smiled and nodded to the boy. “Tomorrow or the next day we are going to go on a shopping trip. You need clothes and things and we all know how zashi loves to shop.”

The boy giggled at that, yes hizashi was big on shopping and spoiling people he loved. The rest of the night was a quiet one. The family curled up after dinner and watched a movie together. Izuku fell asleep laying across all three men and trying to get out from under him to put him to bed had been an interesting game.

Oboro finally managed it by using his quirk to lift the boy on a cloud so as not to jostle him at all. They all went into the room they had set up for him long ago and lay him into the twin bed. He was covered with an emerald green blanket with cats on it. They kissed his forehead before walking out, they left a light on in the hallway and the door cracked open a little ways so the cats could come and go, and so he wasn't closed in. hound dog had given them all tips on what to do for now. Once he was settled in bed, the three men crawled in exhausted from the last while and fell into a dreamless sleep.

Chapter Text

The next morning the family, minus shouta, headed for the car. Izuku was wearing an oversized PYHU hoodie and some jeans they had found to fit him. They had decided to find some clothes to fit him now, and some to fit him when he was finally at a healthier weight. It would take a few months but it was best to be prepared shouta had said, and well the dark haired man was correct. Sometimes. Izuku looked up at the mall a little worriedly, and grabbed for the larger mans hands as they walked towards it. It had been so long since he had done normal things, but he had his adults with him. He wondered what he should call them, after all now they were his parents and not uncles. He had always loved them like extra parents even when mom and dad were alive, their family had been incredibly close even if not blood related.

They headed into the mall and found themselves going from store to store. Oboro laughed at some of izukus picks. Shirts that said pants, or one that said I'm sorry I'm late, I don't want to be here, and so many more. The kid had a great sense of humor. Of course hizashi had to stick his silly nose in and get some normal fashionable things too, the man could be a stick in the mud sometimes. Izuku found a hoodie with bunny ears on it and paws on the sleeves that went over his hands. As soon as he tried it on they all knew he had to have that.

The day went well until they ended up at the hero merch store. Of course the boy was a huge hero fan but as he picked things out and hizashi chatted with the cashier the boy stopped and stared at a wall and tears began to fall. Oboro reached over and scooped him up in his arms, cooing softly to the poor to calm him down. There on the wall was merch for his late father. Not a lot but a few posters with the man's appearance. Even if he was an underground hero, his last battle was highly televised and had made him known.

Too many emotions for the boy and now his dam broke. He carried him from the store as Hizashi paid for the other items he had picked out. The blonde also got one of the posters for the boy. Something for another day when he wanted to see his dad again. Yes they had pictures but this would be a keepsake for the future. The men headed from the mall, all their bags in the car already. As they headed home, Izuku calmed and watched out the window. He didn't really want to go home and stay inside all day. He had been having fun. He spotted a park and squeaked from the back seat. Hizashi turned and looked at him.

“What's wrong jelly bean?”

“Can.. can we go to the park! I saw a swing set!” he asked a bit hopefully with big eyes looking at the man who chuckled softly and nodded before directing oboro to turn around and drive to the playground.

They were there for an hour before izuku vanished from sight. The men freaked out as they had turned away for half a second. The sound of giggling made them calm down and follow it. They both stopped as they saw Izuku sitting on the ground with a white.. kitsune? On his lap licking his face and making him giggle profusely.

‘I found you, little one! I have been looking for some time!’

‘How are you talking to me! Why were you looking for me?’

‘Little one, you can call me Shimu. I am your soul animal. And I have been looking for you because you and I are bound to each other! Soul creatures are born when a soul is fated for tragedy. We are there to help them and keep them safe the best we can as they grow.’

‘Oh! That is so cool shimu!”

The men frowned as they walked towards the two.

“Izuku…what…what's going on?” oboro asked softly in confusion. The boy smiled and looked up at them.

“I found my soul animal! Apparently she says she's been looking for me, I didn't even know this was a thing!”

The two looked at each other and their hearts broke again before they looked back and tried to smile, even if it was a little bit sad.

“That's great jelly bean, I'm glad you found her. Let's head home and show your uncle shou.”

The heroes knew about soul animals only because they had seen one while in UA as second years. A girl with a villain's quirk had a cat that was her soul animal. When they learned her story, and the legend of what a soul animal was, it had hurt, and now this small one had one as well. It made them sad even as they were glad the boy had found his, it meant no matter what he would have a companion to help him.

The three humans, and one small white kitsune, walked back to the car. Izuku fell asleep on the way home and both men cooed when they saw the boy with the small fox in his lap asleep. Taking a few pictures before they picked them both up and carried them into the house laying them on the couch and covering them with a fluffy blanket.

The two looked at a very confused shouta before sitting down with coffee and tea so they could  explain. Shouta rubbed his face and shook his head. He felt this was his fault for not being there sooner. He texted the rat to let the man know, they would have to wait and see what the small animal could do after all. Especially since Izuku would be training and learning at UA from now on. They knew they would have to register the kitsune as well, so that she could go everywhere with them. It was one law they were thankful for right then even if it meant alerting the commission of the creature.

It was later that evening izuku woke up to Shimu nuzzling his face happily. He stretched out and sighed, happy to be home again. He looked around spotting his uncles at the dinner table doing work, it looked like oboro wasn't home though as only shouta and hizashi were there grading papers and what not.

“Hey jelly bean, dinner is almost done, why don't you and Shimu head to your room and start putting your new stuff away. No research tonight either kiddo, you know you won't sleep if you start now.”

Izuku felt his face heat up in embarrassment at zashi’s words and he sputtered out a weak denial. Yeah he had planned on doing research but the man didn't need to call him out on it like that. Soft laughter rang through his head and he glared half heartedly at the small fox.

The two of them headed to his room and started to unpack the bags from their shopping trip that day. While he did so, Shimu and him chatted happily as he told her about everything that he was going to do in the future. He was so excited for training and learning from the men. The rest of the night was spent together before shouta headed out on patrol and oboro came home just as bedtime rolled around. The boy felt so much safer with the white fox sleeping cuddled up to his chest as he lay in bed thinking about everything that had happened in such a short time.

The next day found the family driving to UA. Izuku was bouncing in his seat happily, looking forward to the day. He was going to start his lessons with nedzu! The mammal was the smartest creature in all of Japan, probably even the world. The fact he had been interested in helping him learn just made his head swim. He knew he was smart, his parents had told him so for so long, no matter what the school and teachers would say to him. Yes he didn't have a quirk, well not one of his own, but that didn't make him less than.

The school loomed large overhead as the family parked and headed inside. Shimu lay around Izuku's neck, invisible to those around her. He could see her still but he knew others could not. She had explained that kitsune are born with this ability because poachers tried to kill them off centuries ago and they evolved to keep their kind safe. The boy was glad for this, he didn't want anyone to hurt his new friend.

First stop was recovery girl to check his weight again, he had gained two pounds and that made him give oboro a high five and cheer. It wasn't a lot of progress but it was something. He was getting healthier. Of course shimu had to get off of him to get an accurate weight and not screw up the tests but she didn't mind just sitting and watching the boy.

The two left Chiyo's office with the promise to come have lunch with her later that day, and no world domination until he graduated high school. Izuku had laughed at this but it seemed the older woman and hero were serious about this. He just shrugged, figuring he didn't mind waiting, and they didn't say anything about taking over Japan, right?

They reached the teachers lounge and were quickly surrounded by the staff. Oboro wandered over to hizashi sitting at his desk going over his lesson plans and snickered seeing shouta curled up in the stupid sleeping bag of his. Why had tensei given that to the man again? Oh yeah, a gag gift. The man had no sense and should have known shouta would actually use it. He loved to scare his students with it on the first day. Izuku was babbling with the rest of the staff and sitting on the couch. He pulled a notebook from…somewhere and was asking midnight all about her quirk and analyzing it to a miniscule level. The woman kept a smile on her face but looked a bit frightened.

“The world is doomed zashi… we have released a monster into the clutches of the rat.”

“Yeah but at least he’s a cute monster with a heart of gold. He will be good for the world.”

The two nodded, even after everything that had happened izuku wanted to be a hero, wanted to help people and nothing more. He even thought little of himself in that respect, he would sacrifice everything to save others. That was something they really needed to work on after all.

The bell rang and nedzu walked in with a smile on his face as the rest of the teachers filed out. Izuku was a bit nervous as he looked over at the chimera. This was the first time he didn't have one of his parents with him.. yes he was starting to think of them as his parents now. Shimu materialized and looked at Nedzu curiously before the mammal spoke.

“Ah izu-kun. Come come, let's go start your lessons. Today we will just be testing where you are academically so we know what we need to work on. would you like some tea? And what is your friend's name?”

He followed after the mammal as they went into his office with a small smile on the boy's lips.

“Oh! Yes please nedzu! And this is Shimu, she's my soul animal!, i met her yesterday and apparently she and I are bonded. But I wasn't allowed to do any research last night…apparently sleep is more important.”

He rolled his eyes as the principal chuckled at the boys statement

“Well yes I do understand the need for research, maybe if you have some time after the tests we can do that together. I admit I have never done very much research on spirit bonds and such things. It would be most informative. Now sit and get comfy.”

He nodded and sat down on one of the couches everyone else seemed to never sit on. It was a very comfortable couch so he didn't understand why no one else would sit there. Nedzu handed the boy a cup of raspberry tea, and a bowl of water for Shimu before pulling out a bunch of test packets.

“Now we will start with elementary and then middle school testing izu-kun. I don't think you will have much problems with this. After that if you'd be open to it, I'd love for you to try out another test. Just for curiosity's sake.”

Izuku nodded happily and Shimu curled up to watch their surroundings as the boy began to work on his test.

He easily finished the test packets for middle school and elementary way before lunch. They had been incredibly easy and it had made nedzu incredibly happy when the boy was finished and he began to grade things. The boy had finished a few cups of tea and Shimu had fallen into a light doze.

The next tests were a bit more difficult and the feeling of his brain being worked and challenged was a wonderful thing for the boy, he had a smile stretching his face as he hummed to himself and worked on the packets. The last one was his favorite, it was analysis, he was finally able to show off the thing he adored to do. His tongue sticking out slightly as he worked analyzing situations given, quirks of heroes and more. There was a knock on the door that startled the two, something not easily done but the rat had been fully focused on the boy before him.

The door swung open and an annoyed recovery girl stood there glaring at the two. Izuku shrunk back a little bit at the look she gave him. When she saw this she softened.

“It's past lunch you two, and izuku cannot afford to be missing meals.”

Izuku blushed softly and nodded at the woman before standing up. Shimu woke and jumped onto his shoulders once more.

‘She's right little one, you need to pay more attention to your needs.’

‘I know shimu. But i was having so much fun with the tests i didn't notice the time’

Nedzu smiled and waved them off.

“Go on izukun, get something to eat and we can finish your packets afterwards.”

Izuku bowed to the principal and smiled as he followed recovery girl out of the office. She smiled at him and the fox as they walked to the staff room.

Lunch went well and he was finally allowed to have something a little more adventurous to eat. He still got tired a lot easier than he used to and he yawned halfway through lunch and leaned against oboro as he finished his meal. The man ruffled his hair with a smile

“Hey bug. Do you want to have a nap before going back?”

“No papa, i'm okay i promise.”

The sky blue eyes grew wide at the boy's words and he blue screened as he sat there not sure how to respond.

‘He called me papa! I'm a papa! Omgomgomgomg zashi is going to freak out! I'm a paaapppaaaaa’ ran through his head. When he came back to himself, Izuku was blushing.

“It's okay to call me that bug. I like it, promise!”

The boy nodded shyly, he hadn't meant to say it but it had just come out of his mouth in his tired state. Once everyone was finished he headed back to Nedzu's office and got back to finishing his testing. Once the booklet was finished nedzu began to mark everything. He told Izuku to pull out his laptop and start doing some of the research he had wanted to do that day before. He nodded happily, shimu had decided to wander through the school and snoop around while he was sitting there. She had grown bored with the human work.

“Well izukun, it looks like we can easily test you out of middle school all together if you would like. And as for the last test, it was an iq test, it looks like your iq is very very close to my own. It is very impressive and I am excited to teach you everything I know.” the chimera chirped out clapping his hands in glee.

“I’d be honored to learn from you nedzu!” he exclaimed happily, getting incredibly excited about the idea.

“Wonderful! Now, tell me what you have learned izu-kun! I'm quite excited to hear.”

The boy nodded and licked his lips before he began.

“Well nedzu, it wasn't very easy to find anything about soul animals. Apparently not a lot is known, or someone is trying to suppress the information. I believe it to be the latter issue, but I did find some interesting things. Apparently soul animals are not always born at the same time as their bonded human, take shimu for example, she is definitely older than i am. When that's the case when the human half is born something shifts inside the animal to bind them to the humans soul. The animal always has a quirk that is relevant to helping their human, and the human always goes through something bad, like very traumatic as in my case. The bond does not cement itself until the pair meets, and sometimes they never actually find each other! Which is very sad I think. Once they have formed their bond, the human half can use the animal's quirk for their own, even when they are separated, they can talk to each other telepathically too, which is how i talk to shimu. And they also have a longer lifespan than normal animals, like a cat soul animal will live as long as their human does! Apparently during war times more soul animal pairs are formed because of how hard those times are. There are also laws and protections out there so that the animal half can go wherever the human half does, it's very similar to the discrimination laws against service animals and mutation quirks in place. A mix between them.”

The chimera listened happily, nodding and interjecting to clarify things ever so often.  The rest of the day went along those lines with nedzu showing izuku how to hack into places with information, the boy catching on quickly to what he was shown.

That night the family went home exhausted, izuku babbling about everything he had done that day and how much he had learned. He told his dads everything he found about soul animals and how Nedzu had sent in the paperwork for shimu to get her clearance and id tags. It was a good night for the family, eating a simple dinner and cuddling up on the couch before bed.

Chapter Text

Things moved slowly and all too quickly at the same time. Izuku was getting healthier, you could no longer see the boy's bones under his skin, he was also needing to nap less to shimu’s dismay, her kit just had too much energy. At that moment izuku was sitting in the teachers lounge, his white hair falling into his face and his laptop in his lap. He blew a few strands from his face but didn't look up from the screen, a light headache starting to form behind his eyes as he worked.

He had started to code his analysis thanks to nedzu’s teachings, and right then he was working on backing them up and sending out a few. With the help of his dads he had become an analyst online, helping heroes in this way while he was waiting to get old enough to become a hero. He had also gotten annoyed and impatient health wise so this was their compromise. After all, his brain never seemed to stop working.

His tongue was sticking out as he worked double checking facts before typing things out. There were heroes he refused to work with no matter what. They definitely didn't like him because of it but he didn't really care and his dads were okay with him turning them down, they also didn't like those heroes.

He looked up when he heard someone come into the room and smiled brightly.

“Hi auntie nem!”

“Oh! Hi izu baby. I didn't think you’d be here today. What are you working on?” the dark haired woman came and sat down beside him.

“Oh just the analysis fat gum asked for. His quirk is so cool!” The child began a mutter storm and soon the hero couldn't understand what the kid was saying anymore. She sighed fondly and shook her head but continued to pay attention anyway. They had learned that izuku had many people ignore him, or tell him to stop when he muttered, they loved it though. The kid processed information to fast for his brain sometimes and so he muttered.

Some time later the boy sighed as his alarm went off, he had an appointment with recovery girl to see what his weight was. He knew he had gained weight and he was praying he would be able to start training finally. He was so excited for the project he kept bugging his dad for just a little bit of training and being disappointed when it didn't happen.

He headed down to the infirmary for his appointment. It went well and he was told he could start light training. Shouta groaned playfully but the happiness on the man's face was not hidden in his capture weapon this time as he hugged izuku.

“Looks like i'm stuck with you now bunny. Now is the time to run or else you will never escape.”

“Dad! It won't be that bad, we both know you just like being sadistic with your students. And I am so excited for this. I get to learn from the best to be a hero! and … and then I get a team and we can help everyone!”

The hero chuckled and ruffled the boy's hair.

“I think you need a haircut bunny, you can't have your hair falling into your face when training.”

“Pot, kettle dad.” shouta rolled his eyes. “Brat”

Chiyo hid her amusement as she shooed them out of the room. The boy had grown so much under the care of the three, as well as the rest of the staff. He was going to be an amazing hero when the time came, no matter what obstacles were in his way.

Izuku looked around the mall with a smile as he pulled Hizashi with him towards the hair place. He had decided he needed a new look, after all he was almost a teenager and he didn't want to look like a small child anymore. Mama was the best one to help him with this, after all they had amazing fashion sense and loved to shop, so here they were going through the mall happily headed for the salon.

He was a bit nervous about getting a haircut, he hadn't had anything sharp near his face since his rescue, but he had been training for a few weeks now and he was getting better with everything. Shimu was wrapped around his neck invisible like usual when in public, the weight of the kitsune had been grounding since she had come into his life. And with her healing ability it made this trip a bit easier on his poor nerves.

“Hey mic!” the woman at the front desk chirped and smiled looking at the two. “I see you brought the broccoli with you today. What are we doing for you?” she asked happily.

Hizashi brought izuku to this woman for a reason, she had been doing his hair for years now and she had an amazing comforting happy presence to her.

“Hey adaki san, the green bean is looking to get a new look today!.”

“Awesome, come this way and let's see what we can do for you.”

Izuku nodded happily and followed her back to sit at the chair. Zashi held out his arms for Shimu, who jumped from izuku’s neck into them and curled up once more.

“Alrighty what are we doing today?”

“Umm, well I was kind of hoping to get an undercut done?” he asked nervously, but the stylist just nodded happily and pulled out her phone to show him some pictures. They decided to keep most of his length and also do the undercut to give him the edgy look.

By the time they were finished izuku was beaming. They walked out of the salon hand in hand with Shimu back in her place around his neck. They stopped and grabbed lunch, izuku indulging in some fattening food for himself, finally able to be less strict with what he ate. The day had been amazing, and both papa and dad had complimented his choice of hair style when he had gotten home.

He ran to his room and changed into his workout gear and tied his hair back into an easy ponytail before going downstairs to the gym, since it was a weekend and both mama and papa had patrol to do, he and dad decided to get some training in. his stealth they had learned was amazing even before he had started to train. It was in a way sad as he had to learn to be silent and invisible to avoid his abusers for too long. Though it was helpful now that he was working on underground heroics.

On the other hand his strength and fighting was below average, they were working on both things, strength an everyday thing, fighting spattered between everything else. Izuku sat on one of the mats his dad across from him as they worked on stretching out his muscles. They still had to go slow, he wasn't fully one hundred percent yet but he would get there.

Once they had warmed up he stood and got ready to watch shouta show him what to do, they went through the forms he had learned a few days before, dad helping to fix any mistakes in each form as he showed them. He was still a bit sloppy but he was determined and with the look on his face it was easy to see that.

Dad still refused to spar with him but that was alright so far, he was just glad to learn the basics first. They continued to work together for a few hours and by the time they finished izuku was covered in sweat and panting hard but he had a smile on his face.

A week later Izuku looked up from his laptop as dad and mama walked in.

“Hey jelly  bean, so your birthday is coming up soon. Do you have any idea what you'd like to do?”

He thought about it and shrugged.

“Not really, i'm just happy to spend the day with you guys…maybe have auntie nem come over? Would you bake me a cake mama? You make the best sweets.”

Hizashi smiled and nodded happily. “Of course! Do you want to come with me to get some ingredients? I think I'm out of a few things.”

He nodded happily and jumped up to grab his shoes. Hizashi and shouta turned and did the same. “Where's papa?”

“He had to go see Tsuki about something or another.” shouta replied as they left the house and headed to the grocery store. Since they only had a few things to get, and people never recognized zashi out of costume they just head to a local small store to grab what they need.

‘Little one, please pick up some of those yummy strawberries please’

‘Of course Shimu, I'll grab some for you!’ He responds to his friend. She had decided to stay home. He smiles and tells dad he will be right back and heads to go find the treat for his friend. He wasn't paying too much attention as he walked and accidentally bumped into someone and fell to the ground. Taking a moment to re center himself he apologized and looked up to find an older teen with bad burn scars standing there looking afraid. The guy looked like skin and bones under his clothes, deep eyes looked at him and after a moment his face went back to a scowl.

“Are you alright?” izuku asks the other.

“I'm fine brat just leave me alone.”

“You look like you need some help….let me get my dad and we can help you..”

“No one can help me brat leave me alone, i'm fine.” The boy turned and walked towards the pharmacy and grabbed some bandages from the shelf and shoved it into his pockets. Knowing what needed to be done, Izuku got to his feet and ran back to mama and dad.

“Mama…there's a boy… he looks like i did before dad found me…can…can we help him?”

Zashi looked at Shouta for a moment in confusion before the darker of the two nodded and followed after izuku. By the time they found the teen he was being accosted by the store manager.

“That's it! I finally caught you, you little thief. You're going to be locked up to rot after this.”

“I didn't do anything, let me go ass hole.”

Shouta walked up to the two with a scowl on his face.

“What's going on here?”

The manager looked at him and snarled.

“None of your business, i'm detaining a street rat thief”

Shouta pulled out his hero license and so did Hizashi as he reached the group and showed the man who looked at them with suspicion and then surprise.

“This kid has been stealing from me for months. He needs to face the consequences of that.”

“I will pay for everything he took, but you are going to let him go now.” Hizashi spoke in a level tone, his normal cheer gone from his voice. Izuku stood behind the two watching what was going on. The manager glared at them.

“Fine. you can take him but you better pay for the shit he took.” Zashi followed the manager and began to pay for their own items and then what the kid had taken. Shouta looked the kid over.

“You're okay kid. We won't hurt you. Why don't you come with us for some dinner and we can talk? It looks like you could use a good meal after all and I know izuku has been wanting to try out the new cafe down the street.”

The kid looked at them with a frown, not sure what to think of this hero and the other one either. Heroes weren’t good after all. Look at what his father had gotten away with. The thought of food though made the pain in his stomach worse as he stood there and his mouth water.

“What's your name, little listener?” Zashi asked as he walked back up to them and took izuku's hand.

“Dabi” he answered automatically, he wasn't about to give his real name after all. No one would believe him anyway and if they did they would take him back to the abusive fuck who had scarred him so badly. Zashi hummed softly in response.

“Nice to meet you dabi, i'm yamada hizashi, this grumpy puss here is aizawa shouta and our son is izuku. Come on, let's go sit down and chat over a nice meal.”

Of course dabi knew who these two were, he had met them before at hero gala’s and what not, but he was badly burned now, older and had dyed his hair black for some time now. It wasn't a surprise they didn't realize who he was. After a minute he nodded, deciding food would be a good idea, and he knew eraserhead and present mic were decent heroes, maybe this wouldn't be too bad.

The family and the stray ended up at a local cafe and sat down. Dabi was waiting for the questions about his past and why he was on the streets, it didn't come though and it made him worry. The family took the menus and started to decide what they wanted for dinner.

“Get whatever you want dabi, money isn't really an issue.”

Dabi looked between the two and nodded before he took the menu and began to look it over.

“Mama? No meal plan now right?” dabi stiffened at the kid's words. Do they monitor what he ate? Were they just as bad as his own father was? He needed to help this kid if that was the case.

“Yes green bean, chiyo cleared you as long as you keep gaining weight and at least try to be healthy with three meals you can have anything you want.” the boy began to bounce in his seat and the two men chuckled but Dabi looked at them confused about what was going on. Izuku looked at him and gave a beaming smile.

“I..i was really malnourished before my family found me again… the system sucks for quirkless. But recovery girl made sure that I got healthy again.” he chirped happily.

Dabi nodded slowly and then spoke.

“Mama? But… your male?” the boy asked hesitantly and Zashi just gave him a small smile.

“Well actually, i'm non binary, and because there are three of us, our other husband is out right now working, izuku picked mama for me. I don't mind all the pronouns though. If there is a day I feel uncomfortable with one I just let those around me know.”

Dabi nodded softly, still a bit confused by this. His father had never talked to them about anything like that and he was still a bit confused. The waitress came over and the family plus one ordered their food and began to chat idly as they waited for their dinner.

The older boy seemed tense as they sat there, he clocked all the exits and windows and watched people closely. Both heroes and the younger boy knew what it meant but didn't want to bring attention to it. Once their food came everyone began to eat happily.

“Are your scars from your quirk?” izuku asked softly making dabi stiffen

“Yes, my body can't handle the heat from it….and… I was forced to use it.”

“I'm sorry… but you're safe now if you let us help…I promise. They got me out of a bad situation and I bet they can help you too!”

“No one would believe me, no one has ever believed me. Why the hell would you guys?”

“Because we care. We may not know what you've been through, or who did this to you but we care and want to help. It's what heroes do.” Hizashi speaks up.

“Heroes aren't all good, heroes don't care about failures like me.”

“You’re right, not all heroes are good, I bet izuku could tell you a long list of shitty heroes, but we aren't them. We became heroes against all odds to help people like you. And you dabi aren't a failure. You are a fighter to survive this long. Let us help you.” shouta speaks up his usual deadpan voice but his eyes are burning.

Dabi watched them and listened to the three speak. He shouldn't believe them, he shouldn't have hope, but for some reason he did. The younger one, izuku? Had a bad scar down his face and it looked like he was blind, he knew eraserheads quirk was considered villainous, his father had ranted about it often after they had encounters. He also knew present mic often spoke out against abuse and discrimination.

“What…what would i need to do?'' His voice was quiet, almost childlike even though he was probably in his mid teens.

“Well ill call a detective we know. He can be trusted, he has a truth quirk. You won't have to tell him anything you are uncomfortable with. But we need to put in a report and file paperwork.”

“Paperwork? For what?”

“Well little listener, I'm going to use my emergency foster license so you can live with us, and once things are settled and everything, we could adopt you as well if you want.”

“But my parents aren't dead… if they find me…”

“Hey it's okay dabi! I can ask nedzu sensei for help and we can do a little magic and get you a new identity. You won't even have to tell me who you are…though I have a pretty good idea anyway.”

Izuku smiled and placed his hand on the other boys shaking hand and gave him a squeeze.

“You don't have to confirm or deny anything, not until you are ready. But in the meantime we will be your family, I always wanted a big brother.”

Izuku's eyes were shining in happiness, his smile a little sharp as he thought of the things he planned to do to the flaming pile of trash that was the number two hero. Fire quirks were rare, especially one that could do so much damage. So yes the white haired boy knew exactly who this was. Dabi looked at the three of them, his eyes would be filled with tears if he could cry and she took a shaky breath before nodding and squeezing izuku’s hand in return. He would give his trust one more time, and hope he wasn't left broken.

Chapter Text

A few months had passed since dabi had been brought home, with the help of nedzu and his own hacking skills dabi was now a member of the family and everyone was doing better. The older teen was starting to trust them and relax. Izuku’s birthday had come and gone and for the young boy, now teen , it had been bitter sweet. He missed his mom and dad, he missed Kat's too but when he had asked to talk to him again they had found the boy gone. Apparently he had moved soon after izuku had been saved and they couldn't find him. Izuku decided to leave it, maybe the other would be better off wherever he was without him holding him back. It hurt though. They had celebrated an UA and he had gotten so spoiled by the teachers, his family that he had cried almost the entire day.

Things had gotten so much better since he had been saved but his mind still sometimes caused problems. That night he had woken up crying as nightmares plagued him in sleep. He tried so hard not to wake his parents or brother though. He was strong enough to deal with this on his own. He knew he was, even if he just wanted to crawl into his parents bed and have them make everything better for him.

When morning finally came the poor kid was in alot of pain. Every once in a while the scar on his face hurt, his eye felt like it was on fire. This morning though he was in more pain than he had felt in a long time. He couldn't open his eyes as he lay in bed whimpering in pain. His head swam and he held his hand to the left side just hoping he would feel better soon. Shimu watched him in concern, she tried to heal him but it wasn't a wound, it wasn't something she could fix. The fox lay on him trying hard to comfort the boy but nothing she did seemed to work.

After half an hour the fox decided she needed to get her kit some help. She hopped off the bed and left the room. They had set up a system so the fox could open and close doors if she needed to some time ago, and now she was grateful for it.

She padded through the house looking for the adults. Thankfully, she spotted hizashi and oboro in the kitchen. Dabi was sitting with the two chatting while drinking his coffee. Shimu padded over and began to get their attention with small yip like barks. The adults looked over with frowns on their faces, shimu was always quiet unless something was wrong. Hizashi turned off the stove and he and oboro followed the white fox back into their son's room. The boy lay there shaking and whimpering in pain.

Both men moved quickly, oboro getting on the bed and lifting izuku into his arms in a large hug. Hizashi moving to the front of the bed to look the boy over but finding no injuries,

“What wrong izuku? Are you hurt? What happened?”

“Hurts mama….it hurts..” he mumbled softly, his voice barely a whisper, his hand holding his face and putting pressure on the scar and his blind eye.

The two men look at each other with frowns, the kid had no injuries and his face shouldn't hurt like that. They didn't know what to do. The sound of a throat clearing had them looking up to find dabi standing there.

“It's probably phantom pains, or nerve pain from his injury, my scars hurt like that sometimes even if there isn't anything new wrong….i can help a little it think.”

Oboro nodded as hizashi moved to allow space for the older teen to come onto the bed. Dabi walked into the room a little hesitant, he hadn't had to do this since shouto he left his old life. Shouto used to have problems with pain in his scar too. He sat down on the bed and chewed his lip lightly as he heated up his hand. He moved izuku’s hand from his face, only t receive a whimper, before taking his warm hand and placing it over the other eye and applying very light pressure. After a few minutes izuku seemed to slump in relief as the warmth began to soak into his body, calming the nerves and soothing the pain a little.

The adults watched this with interest and curiosity, both sighing when their child seemed to relax and begin to feel better.

“How did you know what to do?” oboro asked curiously

Dabi looked between them a bit hesitant before he resigned himself to speak.

“My little brother had a burn scar on his face, he used to get pain like this sometimes, and the heat from my hand helped, just as the cold from him helped my own pain sometimes.”

The two men nodded something clicking in their minds as the boy spoke. They realized who this teen was, and it made them even more angry. They hid it though because they didn't want to scare the boy.

“Thank you for telling us.” Hizashi smiled and hugged dabi, the touch starved teen melting into it while keeping his hand in place to soothe.

Later that day dabi and izuku were out and about. They had finished their morning routine and Izu had gone for his run. He was impressed with the younger teens' resolve to become a hero. He was also happy to see the boy's fathers didn't train him the same way he and his brother had been trained. They had grown closer since he had come home with the boy with bright eyes and an energy that was contagious and you just couldn't say no to. He did wonder how the boy got the massive scar on his face though. He had been told about the kitsune and they explained what she was. It made him think about shouto and the wolf outside of their compound. He wondered if they were the same thing.

“So nii-chan, where are we going?” izuku asked curiously

“It's a surprise brat, stop asking silly questions.”

The boy huffed and crossed his arms with a huff and a pout, his hair was ruffled by the elder of the two who chuckled at the way he was reacting. He sure was cute for such an annoying brat. He kept leading the kid to their destination and as soon as they were at the building izuku lit up like a kid on christmas.

“Paintball!! We get to do paintball! Ive never gotten to play before niichan!”

“I know, pops was talking about it the other day with dad, so i asked if i could take you here for the day.”

“Soooo you just want to shoot me and not get in trouble for it?”

“Damn straight brat!”

The two laughed and playfully shoved at each other as they walked in and got signed up for a few games. Izuku was practically vibrating as he waited on one side of the field. The gear was not the greatest but he figured it would do for this time. Maybe they could go shopping and get their own guns and call it training at UA.he would have to talk to his brother about this because even if the older man no longer wanted to be a hero, he did sometimes help him train on days when their parents were busy

The sound of the buzzer going off made him move instantly as he stalked through the course. He was getting better at tracking and stealth, but he knew his brother was just as good, if not better at it than he was.  He jumped onto one of the walls and knelt down looking around him to find the older boy. Spotting movement he shot and laughed when he heard his brother curse but had to curse himself when he felt himself get hit just afterwards.

With the first shots fired the game became a lot more intense, the two shooting and dodging and running and fighting. By the time they finished their allotted time the two were both breathing hard and laughing even if they were sore from the paintballs. It had been an amazing day together and he was so happy to see his normally quiet brother laughing as much as he had that day.

The two head out to meet the adults at their favorite cafe, of course it has cats in it, which is why it was the favorite of the family after all. As they sat down in the large booth and smiled at the three men sitting there he felt truly at home again. And he realized it was time to trust them once more and tell his story. He looked around and was thankful no one else was in the cafe before he spoke.

“I..i think i need to tell you my story… you've done so much for me and you deserve to know”

“Okay, lets wait until we are back at home and it's quiet before you tell us.” aizawa spoke first

“Yeah, now tell me, who won paintball? It was bug right?”

Dabi scowled and looked down while izuku began to laugh and nod his head. The little brat was faster than he thought he was. Oboro lifted his hand for a high five, which the smaller teen happily gave to the man. While Hizashi cheered for the boy and Shouta hid a fond smile behind his capture scarf.

“He’s a little terror with a paintball gun i swear!”

“I shot him in the butt a few times, it was really funny” izuku was giggling happily as dabi feigned offense “i had pink paint balls too so it was even better!”

With that dabi fell off the bench of the booth feigning death by a menace child. The family laughed at the boy's antics, all happy to see the two smile so freely after so much pain in their lives. Dabi was laughing and telling the parents that izuku fell off the wall and just lay there like he was dead and let him shoot him twice before he moved again. Or how he had gay panic when he saw a cute guy and didn't notice there was a wall and ran into it. The two brothers snarking back and forth as they sat there and ate their dinner with their family.

By the time they all got home the boys were tired and decided to have the conversation the next day. Izuku lay in bed curled up with shimu and fell asleep and had good dreams. Thankfully the nightmares stayed at bay by the fun he had had that day and knowing his family was there and safe.

The next day after breakfast and the rest of the morning routine the family sat down on the couch together and dabi took a deep breath. Nervous about how they would react.

“So I guess the start would be… quirk marriages. My father bought my mother because she has a very powerful ice quirk. Because of his power and money no one ever knew this happened. Me and my twin fuyumi were born and when our quirks came in, my father….tossed her aside. He started to train me, and that was just an excuse for the abuse I suffered. My body is not meant to handle my flames, they are too hot and that's why they burn me the way they do… but he didn't care all he cared about was surpassing all might, being number one and the best and he thought i should be the one to do it.

The abuse got worse as I got older, my brother Natsuo was born with a very weak temperature quirk, and ignored and neglected as well because I was the strong one. Even if he called me a failure all the time. He kept trying for the perfect quirk. He abused my mother constantly. When… when my youngest brother was born, and got his quirk… he turned his attention to him. He has a dual wield quirk. I tried to step between them as much as I could, but he isolated him and me from the others. Then he pushed me too far and all I could feel was fire and pain…I woke up alone and on the streets outside of tokyo. I don't know how long i was out, but by the time i got somewhere safe i found out i was presumed dead and already buried. I…I couldn't go home. No one would believe me….”

The boy took a deep breath licking his dry lips.

“My name. Is toya todoroki… i tell you this now because… I need help…” he looked up, his eyes red. “Please help me save my baby brother.”

The family all had looks of fury in their eyes, hizashi looked like he was swallowing back his quirk so as to not scream. Dabi wasn't sure what to say or what to think. Were they angry at him? What were they going to do? Izuku looked at the boy's body language and nodded. Getting to his feet he wrapped his arms around the older boy in a hug, the adults getting up doing the same once they were broken out of their shocked states. The family sat like that for a while together just comforting the boy the best they could.

When they split apart, Izuku gave him a small smile.

“I will talk to nedzu and see what he suggests. We can start gathering evidence against the flaming pile of donkey shit”

“LANGUAGE!” Hizashi and oboro yelled at the same time.

“Anyway.. We should probably make a plan too on how to get him out soon, taking down such a high profile hero will take a long time and be difficult.”.

The family nodded as izuku began to detail plans they may be able to use. As they worked on plans they decided to bring in the rat for help so they put him on speaker and began to plan more. The mammal had some creative ideas when it came to planning but with izuku’s analytical mind it scared the others in the room just a little bit. This was the first time dabi had seen the two of them in action and he was incredibly impressed and scared. He was glad he was found by the small teen and didn't actually become a villain like he had panned. Anyone up against these two was an idiot.

The next day izuku walks into the precinct with dabi hand in hand. The older of the two looked nervous but he trusted the younger so he didn't run. Izuku looked around and smiled seeing sansa talking to another officer. He dragged his brother forward.

“Morning sansa… is tsuki in his office?”

“Oh! Good morning kitten. Yes I think he is. Does he know your coming?” the cat headed officer asked the boy, surprise on his face at seeing the younger boy standing there.

“Nope!” he grinned and before the other could say anything he pulled dabi with him through the station, officer's watched them curiously. New recruits whispered questions to their superiors about who the kid was. One even spoke a slur, and as soon as it was out of the man's mouth Sansa moved and dragged the man by his ear into an office while hissing a reprimand.

Dabi frowned when he noticed this and looked at izuku confused.

“Oh! Ummm because of my father and mother, everyone knows me here, they are like family. And tsuki doesn't allow any form of discrimination to happen no matter how small in his station. Especially when it comes to me.”

Dabi hummed a response as the white haired boy opened an office door and walked in pushing Dabi to sit in a chair and sitting down himself.

Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi sat at his desk reading something on his computer when his door opened and two teens walked in. He blinked owlishly for a moment before sitting back in his chair with a groan.

“Izuku… you didn't even bring me coffee, and I know whatever you are here for is going to make my day long and a lot more difficult…isn't it?”

Izuku giggled and nodded. “Dad said i wasn't allowed to bring you coffee because you probably haven't seen your own bed in the last three days and maybe if i don't after we are done here you will actually be done with the world and go home and sleep”

The man rubbed his face and shook his head.

“Well tell eraser if he keeps talking trash like that i'll lock up the cinnamon next time he’s here and going for a cup.”

Both teens gasp dramatically

“You wouldn't! He would burn down the station or terrorize everyone here if you did that to the man!” dabi stage whisper yelled at the detective and they all started to laugh

“Alright alright you two. It's great to see you both looking happy and healthy again. Now what can I do for you today?”

The look on izuku’s face turned murderous

“You can help us with taking down the number two hero…and kidnapping his abused youngest son.” Tsukauchi's eyes widened in shock and horror at the boy's words.

Chapter Text

A few days later izuku yawned as he walked through the halls of UA, he greeted the teachers he saw on his way to the principal's office. They were supposed to talk over some of their plans and show each other what they had found evidence wise. He was tired though, and maybe he should have gone to bed at a normal time the night before but his nightmares were back and so he had stayed up doing extra research. He rubbed his eyes as he reached the door and it opened automatically. He smiled at the mammal sitting at his desk.

“Morning ojiisan.”

“Morning cub, did you not sleep well?”

He sat down in his usual chair and placed his laptop on the coffee table

“Not really, no. I had a nightmare, so instead of waking the house I decided to do a bit more digging. I found a few videos of him in public with the kids, it's subtle though.”

Nedzu nodded and pulled out a tea pot from somewhere, and poured them both a cup of tea. He got down from his chair and brought it over to the boy and sat down beside him.

“I'm sorry kit, have some tea and relax.show me what you have, and tell me what the detective said.”

The boy nodded and picked up the tea cup and sighed taking his first sip, it was a fruity blend but the warm fragrant tea soothed his body and mind. This was familiar, and this was his second home. Shimu padded in and headbutted nedzu softly in greeting. The mammal leaned down and scratched behind her ears as he watched the video’s that probably should have been erased a long time ago.

The two worked together easily, pointing things out and nedzu helping Izuku with his hacking skills as the day went on.

Hizashi and Aizawa came to pick izuku up from the office once their classes finished for the day, izuku rubbed his eyes and looked up, his head pounding as he smiled at the two.

“Hi dad, mama, is it time to go home?”

“Yes bunny it is, have you been looking at a screen all day again?”

He looked at them sheepishly and nodded softly. The two sigh in exasperation as they take the boy from the office. They know this case is big, and the boy wanted to help but he also needed to learn restraint and when to slow down or take a break. They also knew the rat didn't help with that, he didn't feel things the same way humans did and so he didn't understand the need to stop. Plus his quirk made stopping a thing that wasn't needed, izuku on the other hand needed to take breaks and rest his mind or he would burn out.

They made it home easily enough and he hugged papa happily, they had planned a movie night and they were going to camp out in the living room and eat snacks with the cats and snuggle the rest of the night. He would be able to tell them what they found the next day after all.

Izuku sighed as he put on his shoes, his laptop sitting in his room turned off. He had been told he was not allowed to do any work today and if he did he would be dragged to UA and made to run the hell course for an entire afternoon. He knew it wasn't an idle threat. Apparently he had been working too hard the last few days and they were worried about his health, yes he was definitely pouting and yes shimu was very much laughing at him for it. She was incredibly motherly and loved to tease him mercilessly about some things.

She jumped onto his shoulders and settled down for the ride. She decided since he was going out to wander alone for the first time in a long time, she would go with him to keep him company, and to keep him grounded if anything happened. He had a lot of trauma after all, and even with the help of hound dog he still had his triggers he didn't yet know about.

He made sure to tie his hair up before he left the house and grabbed his leather jacket just in case he needed it. He also had a panic button just in case and a few knives hidden on his person. Were his parents and brother paranoid? Yes. he didn't mind though he liked to be prepared, especially as a quirkless child in a quirked society, he needed to be careful for now.

Shimu stayed hidden as they walked. She didn't want to draw attention to her kit after all. She was so proud of the boy for going out on his own. He had grown so much since they had met. She nuzzled into the boy happily.

‘Where are we going kit?’ she asked him softly

‘I'm not sure yet, maybe we can find some hero fights and take some notes’

‘Oh that could be fun, you haven't really done that in a while after all. I'm betting we can find a really good one.’ the kitsune said.

The boy had told her all about how he used to go looking for hero fights, how it is what taught him to analyze the way he did. How his dad had always looked at him with fond exasperation when he heard about the fights he had been at and then added his own input into things, even going as far as to mention the suggestions to the heroes he knew. Things had just changed and gotten so much better for him, and also now for his big brother. He had always wondered what it was like to have an older brother. Kat didn't count since they were almost the same age, and now the blonde was gone. He liked having a brother, and he was excited to have another soon.

The warm air made him thirsty and with Shimu's help he decided to stop by a corner store and get himself something to drink and maybe a snack for later. They turned the corner chatting with each other, izuku telling shimu about different heroes and what nedzu had taught him that week, when he ran into someone and fell down. He shook his head and looked up to see a frantic looking shoto todoroki. He was shocked by the boy standing there breathing hard. He had bruises on his arms and a burn scar on his face.

Seeing the other's scar made phantom pains run through his own scarring even if it was a lot different.

“I'm sorry…” shoto breathed out as izuku got back to his feet. The boy looked around then nodded deciding to do something probably stupid but he needed to do it. Izuku tore a page from his notebook and wrote several different numbers on it, his dad papa mama his own and toyas. Then he shoved the page into the boy's pocket before speaking looking into the boy's mismatched eyes.

“Shoto listen, we know. We know what he is doing to you. You need to be strong because we are going to get you out. I promise. Me and my family are working hard on it and we will get you safe… touya told us everything. He isn't dead and he misses you. Be strong and stay safe until we can get you.”

The other teens' eyes opened wide and tears filled them. Fear warred with hope and desperation within them as they looked into each other's eyes. Determination hardened in the eyes of shoto as he nodded. The sound of shouting was coming closer and Izuku went to walk past.

“Be strong. Message any of us if it gets worse and we will come.”

He whispered just as a sidekick showed up and grabbed shotos hand. The boy's face became a mask of neutrality as he was pulled back.

Izuku had to pull himself out of a panic with the help of Shimu as he watched his soon to be brother dragged back to his abuser. He knew they couldn't act yet, they needed to make it look like something else if they were going to make it work. He closed his eyes and leaned against the wall and breathed deeply calming himself once he did he took his phone and texted touya

Brat : nii chan i just ran into shoto.. He doesn't look good but I told him to be strong.

Gave him everyone's cell numbers too so he's not alone… was that the right choice?

Burnt bacon: yes izu, that's alright, i know it's hard but soon

Thank you for giving him some hope even if you couldn't take him home

Brat: thanks nii chan. I'll be home in a while.

He put his phone away and went into the store to grab the snack and drink even if his stomach was twisting. Shimu nuzzled his neck and a soft white glow flooded his hands with warmth.

‘You scraped them when you fell. All better now kit.’

“Thank you shimu, i didn't even notice’

‘Of course you didn't, you silly boy.’ The kitsune sounded exasperated and he chuckled before heading back out to look for things to analize.

Back at the house the parents were beginning to fret. It was the first time they had let izuku go out on his own since he had been rescued and they were all nervous. Shouta sat in his chair pretending to go over student files even if he hadn't actually looked at a single page since he sat down. Oboro was pacing the living room mumbling to himself all the possibilities, while Hizashi stood in the window chewing on his thumb anxiously. Dabi had told them about what izuku had texted him and they all were worried about both boys now. Mostly izuku though as he was their son. The only saving grace was that Shimu had gone with the other so he wouldn't be hurt long if something did happen.

-------------

It happened two days later, izuku was sitting in nedzu’s office, dabi lounging on the couch his parents either teaching or on patrol. None of them had heard anything from shoto, but that was to be expected. Izuku was working on a case Tsukauchi had asked him to look at as enigma, the unknown analyst, and he was chewing on a pencil as he read through the case files making notes and mumbling as he went. The sound of his phone buzzing rapidly made him frown and pull it out to an unknown number. He frowned at it but decided to answer it anyway. No one else moved or looked at him as the phone buzzed.

“Hello?” he asked when he answered it.

“H..help….y. You said you would help… please.”

“Shoto? Are you okay? what's happening?!” the boy sat up after hearing the voice on the other end. His face serious and both people in the room, doing the same and watching him closely.

“I… he…i need help…he went to far… he was so angry…i, i can't move please.”

He could hear the boy was crying and his voice full of pain.

“Okay. okay we're coming. Tell me where you are. Where is he?”

“He..he left for patrol….i'm…im in the training room…. I'm alone…please.”

He motioned for his brother to follow him and tapped a code on nedzu’s desk before the two were running through the hall.

“Okay, hold on we're coming shoto.”

“Please hurry.”

The other must have passed out after his last words because Izuku couldn't get any more responses.

“Touya, get dad, i'm calling papa. Tell him we are activating plan fly away.”

The older boy nodded once and they separated. He pulled up his papa’s contact and called him as he ran towards the gates.

“Papa!. It's time. Meet us at the Todoroki estate. No one is there, Touya is getting dad, and we can text mama on the way. Injuries are bad but unknown, he passed out while we spoke. We need to hurry.”

“Got it bug, I'm on my way. See you soon.”

He hung up and called to shimu who had been wandering. As he reached the doors his dad and touya met him there, shimu ran up and jumped onto his shoulders as they headed for the car. The three got in and quickly began to drive towards the massive estate. Izuku was on his phone hacking into the government records as they drove. This is what he had been working on and training for. To help and save others in similar situations as he had been. It was show time. By the time they arrived at the estate, the papers for Roki Shirazawa were set, birth certificate, quirk registered as temperature manipulation, school records and more all set in the archives.

As they screeched to a stop in front of the mansion they spotted Oboro standing there with an angry look on his face. They left the car and the four of them headed for the house. Dabi in the lead as he knew where everything was still.

“I contacted tsukauchi, and messaged zashi, both are aware we have activated the plan. Tsuki isn't happy about it but he understands the need. Zashi says he will pick up some clothes for the kid and meet us at musutafu general after school lets out”

They nod and dabi kicks the door in before they all run following after the scarred teen. They find the younger boy laying on the cold floor, blood around him, he was burned badly and it looked like he may have several broken bones.

“Ro lift him with your clouds, it shouldn't jostle him too much. We need to hurry, he's lost a lot of blood” the man nodded and used his quirk to gently lift the boy off the ground, he moved the cloud to cover the boy's body to keep him warm and staunch any bleeding there was still happening.

“I'm going to kill him.” dabi growled out as they swiftly moved through the room. He turned and lit the room on fire, burning bright and hot.

“No, but we will destroy him when the time comes, touya-nii, i promise you that. But right now focus on shoto…well roki now.”

The older boy gave a small smile and nod to the younger as they rushed to the hospital. Dad had called in and told them to be ready for them.

Chapter Text

Three hours later the family found themselves in the waiting room. They had, had to go in for emergency surgery for internal injuries. Recovery girl had been called in for after that, and Hizashi had joined the family to wait. They were all nervous and many of them took turns pacing back and forth. Nedzu had called and told them not to worry about work for the next week and to get some rest and help the cub heal.

When the doctor came out and called for the family of shirazawa they all moved at once, startling the poor man.

“Alright, so he had some serious injuries, but thankfully you got him here quickly. With recovery girls help he should be okay to go home in a few days. Now, he had several broken ribs, one punctured a lung. He had third degree burns all down his back and one leg, as well as his right arm broken in three places, and his right hand was completely shattered. He will need physical therapy for that, and probably have chronic pain. I do suggest therapy for him as well, whatever happened to him was obviously traumatic and he will most likely have ptsd. We can give you a list of people.”

“There's no need, we work at UA and i think hound dog would be willing to see him.”

The doctor nodded and made a note in the boys chart.

“Can we see him now?”

“Of course, he is heavily sedated though and probably won't wake up for a day or two.”

The family nodded as they were led down a hallway into a private room where the boy lay sleeping. He looked much too small laying there pale and quiet. Touya choked out a sob seeing his baby brother looking so broken in the bed. He felt as if he had failed his family, even if he hadn't. They all moved towards the couch by the bed and sat down, arms tangled together as the adults hugged the two boys. Yes Touya was closer to an adult, but it didn't matter right then, he was in pain and his parents and siblings wanted to offer as much comfort as they could.

It was the middle of the second day, Touya had gone to get the family something to eat with oboro and the other three were sitting there doing some work when they heard a small groan coming from the bed. They all looked up and moved as one to the bedside, izuku holding the boy's good hand in his, a small smile on his face as he looks at the boy opening his eyes.

“I'm so glad you're okay!” he cries out softly.

“W where am i? What's going on?” The boy's eyes were full of fear as he looked at the three people beside him.

“It's okay. You’re in the hospital, in a private room. Your father hurt you badly and we came to get you. Now before you say anything. You will not have to go back to him, ever. Izuku here hacked into the records and you are now our son. Roki Shirazawa. I know this is a lot to get your mind around, and I'm sorry for flooding you with information so soon after you woke up.. But I didn't want you to panic.”

Shouta’s voice was soft and comforting, something people who didn't know him personally would think he wasn't capable of. shoto , well roki he guessed now looked at the three of them with a frown for a few moments.

“Eraserhead? Present mic?”

“That's right, little listener. We've been working to get you safe for a while now.”

“But…my father is powerful, he’s the number two hero. He’s going to come looking for me!” his voice wavered

“No. he wont snowflake. I burned the place as we left with you. He will do the same thing he did  with me and declare you dead. And with mom gone, he can't hurt her anymore either.” Touya spoke as he walked into the room with food, oboro beside him with a happy smile on his face seeing his new son awake and lucid. A cloud behind him holding drinks.

“To-nii?” His voice was soft. Touya nodded and went to his brother's side and wrapped him carefully in a hug.

“I'm so sorry snowflake. I couldn't come back and I couldn't get you out. I'm so sorry.” he was sobbing as he held his brother, the smaller boy had tears running down his face as he held onto his brother the best he could with his injuries. The rest of the family sat back down and tried to give them privacy as best they could while not leaving the room.

‘Yasu?’

‘I’m here cub, are you safe now?’ a soft voice flowed through his head and made him sigh softly as a wash of calm flowed over him

‘Yes, my big brother saved me’

‘That's good cub, I followed them but i cant enter the building. If anyone sees me they will attack.’

‘I'm sorry yasu.’

‘Don't fret cub, we will finally see each other soon’

Touya pulled away but didn't move, he sat down on the edge of the bed instead. Roki was shocked when he saw a small white two tailed fox appear out of nowhere on Izuku's shoulders. It was looking at him curiously before it nudged the boy.

‘Kit! This one has a soul animal too! They are close, I could feel them speaking! Can we register them as well? Like you did me, they shouldn't be apart at a time like this.’

‘Are you sure shimu? Of course I can! I can do anything after all’ he giggled softly as the kitsune smacked him with her paw. The others in the room stared at the white haired boy who began to blush as he noticed the attention.

“Roki, Shimu is my soul animal, she is registered so she can come with me anywhere I go. She just told me you have one as well… where are they? Once we get you out of here we will get them registered as well.”

“Soul animal? Is that what yasu is? I met her a few years ago but we have never seen each other. We talk through the wall of the compound.. She says she is hiding close to the building.” his voice was unsure as he spoke. He had never heard about soul animals.

“I'll explain more after. I'm going to message nedzu-sensei and see if he can get the process started… but i need a picture of her as well. That I guess can wait until we go home though.”

“Home?”

“Of course snowcloud, you’re coming home with us now, your family. But you don't have to call us anything that makes you uncomfortable. I'm oboro shirakumo, this is hizashi yamada, and shouta aizawa. You can call us any of those, whatever feels right.”

The boy nodded and yawned. He was still so tired.

“Go ahead and sleep, snowflake. None of us are going anywhere.”

“Promise?”

“Always.” he murmured and kissed the boy's forehead as he drifted off into sleep.

The family spent four more days in the hospital. They used the time to get to know each other a little better, sharing stories and history they felt comfortable sharing with each other. But they were all very happy when it was finally time to go home. Shouta had gone out and gotten Roki a new cell phone as well as letting zashi and boro go shopping for the kid and set up another bedroom. If this kept up they were going to either need to move, or bring cementos over to add on to their house.

When they reached the house they were piling ut of the car when a large wolf came out of the bushes and walked over to roki. The two of them froze and then Roki was hugging the half black half white female wolf with happy tears in his eyes. The canine wrapped her head around the smaller boy and hugged him the best she could. Shimu, seeing another like her, jumped down and padded over and began to take with the wolf happily.

“This, this is yasu.” Roki smiled and looked at the others. His smile was still small but he would get there eventually. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it would have been if he had been left in the house longer. Izuku walked over and greeted the wolf asking if it was alright to take her picture. Yasu nodded and sat down for the other cub to do just that. He thanked the wolf and the family headed into the house, izuku typing away on his phone. Roki was curious about what the boy was doing but was afraid to ask.

Touya showed his brother his room, it was warmly decorated to be comfortable. There was a large pillow on the floor in the corner for Yasu to sleep on if she liked, but the bed was large enough for the two of them. The walls were painted a forest green with a large window looking out into the back yard. Roki sighed in relief as he looked around.

“It's perfect to-nii.”

“Glad you like it snowflake. I've missed having you with me.”

He ruffled the other boy's hair and looked at his phone with a sigh.

“I gotta head to work, little brother. I'll be home in a few hours.”

He nodded and watched his brother go. Alone in his new room his thoughts turned to everything that had happened in the last little while. He was finally free. They were going to change his hair color and eye color with a quirk next week so he was hidden more. And izuku along with hizashi had said they could show him how to hide his scar with make up. He felt oddly calm and content even though his life had been flipped upside down. He knew that was partially because of Yasu, her empathy quirk had kept him sane while he was with HIM.

It was a few days later as the family had gotten settled where a problem came up, izuku was in the living room doing his morning yoga when dad came in with a sadistic grin, one of the ones izuku knew meant he was going to end up for by the end of the day. He looked up and tilted his head softly.

“So bunny, i just talked to chiyo, it's been about six month since you came home. She says your weight is looking good, and your body has finally healed itself soooo guess what that means?”

“Spar!!!!” He lit up like a christmas tree when he realized what his dad was saying. The man nodded

“Alright go change and head to the training room, i'll be down there in a minute.”

Izuku nodded and ran to his room, he didn't notice how stiff his brother was, or the shaking of the boy's hands. Neither of them knew the boy was thinking bad things about what was coming.

The three of them made it to the basement and izuku was bouncing from foot to foot waiting for his dad to join him. Roki watched the other with a deep frown. He wasn't sure why the white haired boy was so excited. In his experience sparring was painful and horrible and left him bruised and broken. Shimu had come down the stairs and yasu had followed her, the two soul animals had gotten closer to each other since the boy had been brought home.

Shouta came downstairs, his arms full of large cold bottles of water. He gave a soft smile to Roki, the boy was still distant but that would change in time.

“Alright bunny, stop hopping around like that. I know your warmed up already so let's get started shall we?”

Izuku nodded swiftly but he didn't stop moving, the boy rarely stopped moving actually without warning shouta moved launching himself at izuku, but before he could make contact, or be dodged a wall of ice was in between them and he had to change direction in order not to hurt himself. He stood once he got his barings and looked over at shoto with a frown. The boy looked angry. Izuku just looked confused.

“So what! You're just like him? Why the hell did you bring me here then? Are you just going to use me and train me for some unknown reason just like he did!! How could you!?”

Yasum was on her paws and wrapped around the boy swiftly, a calming aura wrapping around him. Shouta realized then what the boy had thought and his heart broke. He walked over slowly projecting all his movements.

“Roki, no… that's not what this was, I promise. Izuku wants to be a hero, he asked me when he was four, I think, to train him to be an underground hero like me and his father. I would never push him too far or hurt him intentionally, or with malice. He may get hurt when training but if he does we stop and get him help to make sure he is okay.`` His voice was soft and kind as he spoke, his eyes open and honest.

Izuku walked over and nodded softly.

“Because I'm quirkless I need the advantage on the quirked kids so I asked a long time ago.. We just started recently because of what happened to me after my mom died. Dad has never hurt me, even unintentionally actually. I'd say to-nii hurt me worse while at paintball.”

he smiled thinking about the games they had played. Roki looked at them with a frown, searching for anything that would tell him someone was lying. He was not used to this, any of it and he was scared for his new brother.

“What…what do underground heroes do? Why not go limelight?”

“Well being quirkless i don't want the bad attention it would bring if i tried to go limelight. Also, underground hero numbers are starting to waver. In other countries there are more, and they work in teams to keep things safer so we are going to do that…once i'm trained and found my team that is. It's a special project that Nedzu sensei and dad and papa are doing. As for what they do…well they take on cases limelight heroes don't want. They do drug rings, raids, trafficking and more, things needed badly to be dealt with, but things the media doesn't really cover.”

The boy nodded slowly thinking about it.

“So.they help more people? And don't do it for fame and money?”

“Exactly. I became a hero to help those like myself, those who need it the most and well I hate attention and the media. Izuku was helping plan the unit project before it was approved and now that he’s home again and it's on the go, he will be the leader of the team once it's formed. Us training and sparring is getting him ready for that.”

He nodded and moved to sit back against the wall with a thoughtful look on his face. He didn't know how to process the information he had been given. It was…a lot. As soon as the wall of ice was gone and they had cleaned up the wet spots the two got back to sparring. All three of his parents had shown him stances and moves to use while on light training duty, so he wasn't fully unprepared.

Roki watched the sparring, he winced every time the boy hit the mats and tapped out. He was shocked by the fact he was allowed to tap out. He was starting to think they really were truthful and better than his blood family. Everytime izuku tapped out shouta moved away and explained things to help the boy improve, pointing out weak points and strong points before they went at it again. The afternoon passed like that and it was very informative. After a lot of sparring they seemed to go into other things. Roki watched as izuku bounced around an obstacle course and worked on his tumbles and rolls with shouta showing him parkour moves. He was incredibly intrigued by it all. This training actually looked like fun, not like hell that he knew training was.

The family finally got to sit down and eat as a full family everyone home at the same time. Izuku was beginning to worry about his brother who had been silent since the incident in the basement. He looked at Touya and the other teen nodded. He would talk to his brother and see what was wrong.

The family split up after food was finished and washing up was done, everyone partook in the chores and chatted as they did so. No one ever seemed to complain or get angry about things like his father did. He really didn't know how to act or how to join them.

“Nedzu wants you bothe to come by his office on monday. Jelly bean he has a new assignment for you and wants to talk about next year schooling.”

Izuku nodded softly and so did Roki, he didn't know why the mammal principal wanted to see him. Had he done something to upset him? Or was he going to try sending him back? He was nervous but since izuku didn't seem worried he tried to stay calm.

Chapter Text

The boys walked into Nedzu's office the next day, they hadn’t slept well as Roki had asked him many questions on his training and his lessons. Izuku loved to talk after all when he got on certain topics. Roki had asked if he was learning anything medical or about healing and he had said no, but to ask Nedzu and Granny Chiyo and maybe they could help with that.

“Welcome boy’s! Tea?”

“Yes please sensei” izuk smiled and dragged his new brother to the comfy couch he liked to sit on while the stoat pulled tea cups out of nowhere like he always did. It still confused everyone and the mammal would not give up his secrets to anyone.
“Yes please sir.” Roki's voice was a bit softer when he spoke. Nedzu gave him a soft genuine smile in return
“Alright boys, so I know things are going to take a while to settle now, but I wanted to discuss your schooling. First, izuku you have done amazingly under our eyes, but I think next year we need to do something a bit different.” the stoat looked at them both and sighed, shaking his head. “I know you aren't going to like this idea, but i think you two should do your last year of middle school in public school.” he raised a hand to stop izuku from disputing it. “I know kit, but you haven't been around those of your own age for some time. I spoke to your parents about it as well and we will be telling the teachers who your parents are and if one incident happens they will be arrested and thrown into tartarus.” the boy sagged in relief “also since both shimu, and yasu are registered, they will be allowed to go with you, and they both have permission to defend you if need be. For now Roki, we will continue this year with me and izukun, if there's anything you’d like to specialize in let us know.”

The boy looked between the two after listening to what was happening and nodded. “If it’s not too much trouble, I'd enjoy learning healing and medicine..” his voice was soft
“Well then you have to deal with granny and her cane swinging. Maybe we should get you some shin guards beforehand.”
Izuku giggled when he got a horror struck look from his brother and nedzu began to chuckle at the boy's antics. After all recovery girl was known for her ough love act and the fact she smacked idiot students and teachers with her cane for doing stupid things and making her more work. Izuku figured it kept her young so he didn't mind too much.

Izuku was in one of the gyms at UA with papa working on his stealth and parkour skills. Shoto was off with recovery girl talking about how he could learn from her and what his schedule may look like. Oboro was on a cloud floating through the city looking for his son. He had noticed the boy had gotten a lot more confident in himself over the last few months. Touya had definitely helped with that.

He turned a corner looking for the white haired boy when he felt a weight fall onto his back and arms wrap around him. “Papa, should I tell dad your situational awareness needs work? You didn't even hear me!” izuku giggled happily as he snuggled into the other man.

“How dare you bug! That's a betrayal of the highest offense! You would rat out your favorite papa. The travesty.” He mock gasped and fell back onto the boy smushing him into the loud they sat on. Putting the dramatics to good use.

“You're my only papa!” he cried out as they headed to the wall. It was time to rest, izuku was getting tired after the last few hours. It had been a great day though. He was getting stronger faster and just all around better. He had learned that quirkless bodies can be honed better than those with quirks, because they focused on all parts of themself and didn't have to worry about a quirk or drawbacks. It made him a lot more okay with his status, even if other people were not.

Once they were back to the warm up waiting area teh two sat down and grabbed their water bottles. Roki walked in, a smile on his face and several books in his arms. The boy huffs and sits down next to his brother. He hadn't been happy like this in a while.

“Hey zu?” the other hummed a response “do you…do you think shouta would train me too? I don't think I want to be in the limelight at all… and your training seems exactly what I'd enjoy doing…”

“Yeah, I bet dad would love training you, and it would give me the chance to train against a physical quirk too. You will make an amazing under roki. Do you wanna join my not yet a unit, unit?” he chuckled at his joke, oboro rolling his eyes beside them.

“Yeah, I think I'd like that. I still don't really understand the unit thing but working with others would make everything safer.”

The other nodded and wrapped his brother in a happy hug. The other was making choices for himself now, and he would happily teach him everything he could.

Several weeks had gone by for the growing family. Roki was settling in with yasu, the wolf had started training her quirk with izuku and shimu’s help. They taught the pair that the human half could use their counterparts' quirk when needed, and with empathy it could also be used in offense as well as passive.

After many mishaps with Roki and his fireside, the boy had started to work on precise control with his older brother's help, izuku working with shimu to heal any injuries they got, even if it was exhausting at first. All three parents had started working with the boys. Touya didn't have any desire to be a hero, so he worked more on his school work to get a degree and with tsuki so he learned the police work part of helping people. He still had his job but he had cut back his hours now not needing them as much.

Izuku sat in the living room watching the hero news to get some work on his analysis while he was taking a break between requests. As Enigma he had many people asking for his help. But his parents had put a limit on how much he was allowed to do in a week. Roki padded into the room and sat beside his brother with one of the biology books in his lap.

Izuku looked up and smiled at the boy. “So, your birthday is coming up soon, what did you want to do for it?”
The taller boy frowned and tilted his head softly. “Why would we do something for it? It's just another day.”
Izuku widened his eyes in shock at the boy’s words. “No roki, birthdays are special days, they are there to celebrate a person's life and the fact they are there.” the other thought about his brother's words for a little while and nodded slowly.
“Okay…what does one normally do for a birthday?”
“Well there's lots of things, we could go to an arcade, or to see a movie, or have a barbeque with the family and the ua staff, or anything really!”
“Okay… well i’ll have to think about that then..i've never really done something for my birthday HE said they were a waste of time”
Izuku moved his notebook from his lap and hugged his brother. He was doing that alot since the boy had come home. Just as Izuku had, had to help explain so many things to the other boy. He was so happy he was safe now. The door opened and Touya walked in and ruffled both boys' hair before rolling over the back of the couch and flopping down on the two with an oof.

“Hey brats”
“Ugh! Touya!! Can’t you do anything like a civilized human being?” izuku groaned.
“Of course not zu, he was raised in a barn after all” roki spoke in a monotone voice and a bored looking face which made izuku giggle and touya to pout and smack at his younger brother.
“You both suck.”
He grumbled and shoved at the white haired boy he was laying on before rolling off of them and to his feet before heading out to the backyard. The younger boys just roll their eyes and chuckle at the olders antics.

The boys had gotten into a good routine after that, izuku had gotten roki to start running with him in the morning, to yasu’s delight, then they would go to lessons with nedzu, and recovery girl for Roki, then they would come home and spend time with the family, or go out and do things on their own, and train in the evenings when one of their parents was available, or together when not. Both boys were getting much better with everything and their confidence was starting to grow. The family was proud of the boys.

Since everything had finally settled, shouta decided it was time for them to meet tensei. They had kept him away for a while so the others had time to settle in and get comfortable, and the man had understood easily. Since Tensei had a younger brother about the boy's age it was decided it was a good idea to get some interaction before the start of the new school year. See how they do before moving forward.

That night everyone was excited even if a little nervous about this visit. The adults had all gotten the night off and hizashi was in the kitchen with oboro cooking. Touya was outside working on fixing up the backyard a little bit, Roki and Izuku were on the couch notebooks in hand as they went over an assignment from nedzu. Shouta looked up as a knock sounded on the door and sighed. He knew a headache was coming. Put three very loud happy people in a room together and nothing else was possible.

He got up and went to answer the door to find a stiff looking tenya and a grinning tensei. He shook his head and moved out of the way for the two to come into the house.

“HIZASSSHIIIII” tensei cried out loudly startling the boys on the couch a little bit

“TENTEN” zashi called back out before running into the room and tackling the other man. Tenya watched the display of faux wrestling with a bit of annoyance and a lot of scandal on his face. This was not proper behavior when in another person's home.

Izuku looked at Roki and shrugged, maybe some people were just a bit more…stoic than their own family was. After all they had three dads and none of the kids were blood related to them.

“Where are my new nephews! I have been waiting for months to meet everyone and now I'm here and I must meet the kids!”

With that izuku got up off the couch, shimu wrapping around his shoulders, roki followed suit and yasu came out of the bedroom feeling the nervousness of her cub. The four moved towards the entryway to greet their guests.

“Hi, I'm Yamazawa Izuku, it's nice to meet you.” Izuku gave a small bow, he was never very formal even when with his mom and father. “I'm Roki Shriazawa, nice to meet you both”

Tenya watched the two boys. He wondered why they both had scars that they had, for some reason the one boy, Roki, looked very familiar. And why on earth did they have a wolf in the house? And a fox? It was unheard of to have such creatures inside. Instead of commenting he bit his tongue and bowed a perfect ninety degrees “it's a pleasure to meet you all, i am iida tenya.”

Tensei and Zashi rolled their eyes at the younger boy. They didn't know why he seemed annoyed.
“I'm iida tensei, also known as…” he was cut off.
“You're ingenium! It's amazing to meet you, I have so many questions! What's your top speed? Wouldn't something higher in vitamin c be better than orange juice? Have you tried to spread the speed out through your body more? Have you thought of a cooling support item to keep your pipes from overheating? Hmmksjijn, kjinj” and then izuku was in a mumble storm as he stood there. The family just looked at him with fond looks, tenya and tensei both with wide eyes and shock on their faces.
“Bug not now please! Dinners on the table come and eat. You can pester tensei later.”

Izuku blushed deep red as he realized he had done it again. “Sorry” he squeaked out chewing his lip. Shouta walked over and tapped his mouth softly. “Gentle bunny, it's okay. Let's go join your papa and get some dinner.” he straightened up and smiled leading everyone into the dining room. “Yasu, can you please go get Touya?” the wolf nodded and padded away to get the last member of the family.

Everyone sat around the table as Touya walked in and looked at everyone before shrugging and heading over to wash his hands. “S’up” he said as he washed the dirt from his fingers. He had been enjoying working on the small garden he had started. They had learned gardening was a great calming method for the older teen. He sat down and smirked at his younger brothers who just rolled their eyes at him. Tenya looked annoyed by the other teens' greeting. Oboro watched the other boy with a small frown but shook his head and introduced the three to each other before they started eating.

Once the meal was finished Touya went back outside, not wanting to be around so much energy. He was still getting used to high energy people. The others headed to the living room to chat, the adults on one side and the teens on the other.

“So what are your quirks if you don't mind me asking, since you seem to know so much about my own.” tenya asked the two calmly
“Oh, mine is a temperature manipulation, i can change the temperature of the room either hot or cold, and i can also create ice and fire.” Roki stated easily, he was so glad they had changed his quirk registration as well. “That is a wonderful quirk, powerful. Are you planning for the hero course then?” tenya asked the boy. “Yeah both me and Izu are going to take the exams when it's time.” Roki gave a small smile to his brother. They both knew they would get in easily by that time. “Oh, I'm quirkless.” izuku stated when tenya turned his eyes to him.

The look on tenya’s face made the two tense up. The emotions went from shocked to disgust to annoyance to indignation before he spoke. “Well it's not responsible for you to try for the hero course. You don't have a quirk to help you, or anyway to defend yourself from villains after all. Everyone knows quirkless people are fundamentally weaker.”

The noise in the living room stopped instantly when the other boy spoke, all eyes on him in different expressions of shock. Izuku rolled his eyes.
“No actually, quirkless does not mean weaker. Actually, if you look up the research, those without quirks can make their bodies stronger than those without quirks. Also support items nowadays can easily duplicate quirks easily enough. I have been training with dad, papa and mama for a while now. I can definitely be a hero.”
Tenya shook his head softly, the look of pity in his eyes.
“No, that's not right. It's irresponsible for you to be training with those who have quirks. You should look into general education or something like that. Leave the hero course for those with powerful quirks like your brother. You would be a liability.”
Izuku narrowed his eyes at the blue haired boy, anger flashing through him. He hadn't been this angry in a long time.
“So you are just another quirkest asshole then? I know for a fact I could easily take you to the mats.”
“It’s not quirkest at all, it's a fact. There are no quirkless heroes after all. And I highly doubt you could do that. I don't want to hurt you.”

At that point the room was beginning to get hotter and the look of fury in the brothers eyes was matching. Shouta stood up as did tensei, the latter had shock in his eyes at his brother's words.
“Tenya, how long have you been training?”
“Oh, for the last six months i think, why?”
“Well how about a friendly spar between you two, after all we can make sure no one gets badly hurt.” the ‘like you’ was left unsaid. A sadistic smile touched the lips of izuku and Roki as they nodded. Tenya on the other hand looked a bit scandalized by the idea of fighting a quirkless person.
“I wouldn't want to fight someone who cant protect themselves.”
“Oh trust me Iida, i can protect myself very well.”
“That scar on your face says otherwise.” His voice was matter of fact as he spoke, his eyes narrowed at the other boy. Izuky stood, his fists clenched tight.
“You have no idea what I have been through, enough that you would break under it all. But if you are too afraid to fight me that's fine. It just shows you are a coward.”

Anger flashed through tenya at this null speaking to him in such a way. He couldn't believe his brother and uncles were going along with the dreams of grandeur, when it would just get the kid killed. He decided then to show him his place. Show him reality.
“Fine, but when you are hurt don't complain to me about it, and give up on your foolish dream.”

Chapter 10

Summary:

Hello again my beautiful chaos kats!

sorry for a day late update, i forgot last night when i got home from work what day it was lol
so here is some izuku kicking tenya's ass for you

Chapter Text

shimu ‘s fur was sticking up and a low rumble of a growl could be heard by roki and izuku. She jumped off his shoulder as they all headed down to the training room in the basement. Touya had joined them, small flames licking at his hands in rage when he was told what was going on. He couldn't believe the brat had said such things to his little brother. He was excited to see the blue haired boy eat mat.

Once in the training room izuku began to stretch out his muscles immediately while tenya didn't do anything. The adults rolled their eyes as they watched this. Shouta and oboro had drilled it into their boys that stretching was the most important thing before a spar.

A few minutes later the two boys stood across from each other, both with anger in them, when hizashi walked over and called the fight to begin tenya moved quickly with his quirk lunging at izuky. Izuku had already analyzed the other and swiftly moved out of the way and put his foot out to trip tenya. He let the other get up sputtering about dirty moves. Izuku shrugged and watched as tenya moved to attack again, this time going to kick him. The engine quirked boy didn't know subtle and was telegraphing his movements.

Izuku ducked under the kick and moved low and in close to punch him in the gut winding him as he flipped him around and pinned him to the matts. Once mama called the match he got back up and stretched out his arms a bit. Tenya glared at him.

“You fight dirty like a criminal.” he growled out. Shouta narrowed his eyes on the boy.

“There is no fighting dirty or clean when fighting villains tenya. A villain isn't going to go down easy, and dirty fighting could be the decision between living and dying.” and this was very true, he had taught both boys to do everything they could in a fight. Tenya rolled his eyes at the other man and turned to izuku.

“again.”

Izuku shrugged and got into position again, this time he was going to go on the offensive first. As soon as the fight started he moved, his speed had grown since he had started training with his family. And had gotten even better since he was now dodging ice and fire from his brother. He went low as a faint and before the engine boy knew what was happening izuku flipped over him using his shoulders and pulled him down to the ground, his knees cracking at the harsh treatment.

Hizashi called the end of the match after izuku punched iida in the face while on the mat and pinned him under his weight. The boy was still angry, even more now by this brat winning the matches. Tensei walked over a frown of disappointment on his face.

“I think it's about time we went home. Me and you need to have a chat.” tenya flinched at his brother's words but nodded. “I'm sorry about all this, guys. I don't understand where it's coming from.”

The adults nodded as they walked him out. Touya and Roki were congratulating Izuku who had a big smile on his face. He had put the boy in his place and showed he wasn't a weakling. He was proud of himself but also still annoyed with the other teen. How dare he say such things to him, and he knew the kid still thought the things even after getting his ass whooped by izuku.

Yasu padded over to Roki and leaned against him.

‘I don't trust that one cub. Be careful around him. He feels strongly.”

‘I agree yasu, i don't know why he feels the way he does but we will keep watch when he’s around.’ Roki ran a hand through the wolf's fur.

The rest of the night was a quiet affair, the family sitting together and discussing their day’s before they all headed off to bed.

Soon a new school year had started and Roki and Izuku were both incredibly nervous about going back to actual school. Shimu and Yasu both had new bandana’s with their id’s on them so they could go with them. They had both come out of their shells, but also still had trouble with social interactions, which is why nedzu-sensei had suggested this. Since hizashi and shouta had to be at UA that morning for the first day of classes, it was up to oboro and touya to bring the boys to their new school.

They walked up to the school and izuku took Roki's hand and looked at papa. “It will be okay, Bug, both you and Snowflake will be fine. We already told the school you aren't to be separated, you both have our emergency numbers as well as ojisan and obbasan’s numbers. Your panic alerts are fully functional and you have yasu and shimu with you. Nothing bad will happen and if someone does anything, just punch someone and it will get better.” both boys giggled at papa’s words, if mama was here the man would be getting a lecture about corrupting his sweet babies. They both nodded took deep breaths and walked into the school

“Come on cloud man. They will both be fine, don't be a worry wart like mama is.”  Oboro turned sky blue eyes to the teen beside him in a glare. “Shut up brat, i'm not worried.'' Touya raised an eyebrow at him. “Mmhmm sure, whatever you say.” The two walked away even though they pretended not to worry, they did anyway. With the trauma the younger teens had endured it was only natural.

Izuku and Roki walked into the school, the white haired boy rubbed his scar absentmindedly. It was hurting in phantom pain once more as he remembered what happened the last time he was in school. He was older now, he was stronger and had support. He smiled as Roki squeezed his hand as they stood outside their new classroom. An older looking woman looked them over and put on a fake smile as she led them inside. “Go ahead and take a seat you two, we will be doing introductions in a moment.” The two nod and look around the room. Both eyes landed on two blonds sitting together, something about them made their hackles rise in a protective mode. They let go of the hands and sat down with those two, the one with a black lightning streak grinned a sunshine grin and Roki squinted “I should have brought my sunglasses.” he muttered softly and izuku shoved him playfully but the ther blond nodded. “Mood.”

Once they were settled the teacher looked over the kids and told them to introduce themselves to each other. Apparently this was normal for the first day of school. Izuku was vibrating as the kids did their introductions and told their quirks. He was fascinated by quirks after all and Roki could tell the boy was ready to pick apart every single one. When Denki and Monoma went to their introductions, they both heard comments from the rest of the kids. Izuku narrowed his eyes and glared at them all as Denki seemed to deflate. Now it was his turn.

Izuku stood and smirked as he looked at everyone. “Hey, I'm Yamazawa Izuku, I'm fourteen and my quirk is nunya.” the teacher frowned at that while Roki was trying to stifle giggles. “Nunya? What's that?” the teacher asked with an annoyed voice. “Nunya business.” and then he sat down smirking, both blondes were laughing now not even trying to hide it. Roki was still stifling giggles as he stood up and looked at the teacher in the eye and cleaned his face of all emotion, giving the best dad impression he spoke. “I'm Shirazawa Roki, fourteen, and yeah what he said.” his voice was deadpan as he sat down and shrugged looking at his brother and winked at him. The two blondes were having a blast laughing at what the two said. The classroom was completely silent and the teacher's face was full of shock, her mouth open slightly as she gaped at the two boys.

It took a few minutes for the woman to get her brain to work again and start class. Denki and Monoma got glared at by everyone when they finished laughing. The class kept looking at izuku and roki with curious and annoyed looks during class. The morning went by easily and both Roki and izuku were bored. They were both nedzuojiisan’s students and far more advanced than what they were learning here. They both understood why they were in this class, but it didn't matter to their bored brains.

Once the lunch bell rang they were surrounded by several other students and izuku wanted to groan. It was loud and they were too close to his blind side. Roki moved to stand on that side to give him some sense of security. One of the boys walked over and looked with disgust at both blondes, they shrunk under his gaze. Izuku raised an eyebrow at the boy. “My name is yuroki kasakazi, i figured id come over and introduce myself and give you some advice.” izuku tilted his head softly but didn't speak. “Well you should keep your distance from the dunce face and copy cat there. Dunce likes to short circuits himself and is an idiot, and copy cat is pretty much quirkless, filth. It's better for you both to keep away.” The temperature in the room rose, becoming hotter as Roki looked at them with anger burning in his eyes. Denki looked down and Monoma was wringing his fingers. Both reminded them of what they used to be like. Izuku rose to his feet and gave them a feral looking grin making the kids take a step back.

“Well after that advice i think i know exactly who to stay away from.” The kid had a smug look on his face as the blondes shrank down more. “I think i'd rather stay away from nasty quirkest children, than those with amazing quirks like those two. Plus they seem to have a sense of humor unlike the rest of you.”  The kids frowned and looked between each other and then growled. “You two are probably just as bad as those freaks. Probably have useless or villainous quirks. You’ll learn your place soon.”  Izuku put a hand on his brother's shoulder and squeezed when he felt the tell-tale signs of flames crackling. After a second it vanished and the other kids  hadn't even noticed it. Izuku really wasn't surprised how bad their situational awareness was. The two blondes had seen it and both had wide eyed looks on their faces.

The large group of kids scoffed and walked away heading to the cafeteria. The brothers sat back down and izuku rubbed his face, his hands shaking. That was when shimu and yasu ran in, they had been in the principal's office for the morning. Shimu jumped onto his shoulders

‘Are you alright little one? I'm so sorry the human wouldn't let us come with you. We won't leave again.’

‘I'm alright shimu. Things were just…they reminded me of aldera, but I have people now.’

Yasu wrapped around Roki and nuzzled him, a light glow from around the fox flowed over the dark haired boy and he calmed down easily. ‘Thank you yasu.’ he ran a hand through the wolf's fur and he smiled at the wide eyed blondes.

“You…you have them too” Denki whispered “You’re like us.” Monoma spoke softly and both Roki and izuku tilted their heads softly. Monoma walked over to the window and opened it before a large raven flew in and landed on the boy's shoulder, clicking at him angrily. A small hand popped out of denki’s backpack and wrapped his way up the blonde's body and stopped after settling around the boy's neck. Shimu yipped as she looked at the other two and Yasu nodded his head at them, the four animals conversing with each other.

“I see your soul animals are not registered.” Denki frowned and looked at Monoma who was also looking confused. “Soul animals can be registered with the government, both yasu, and shimu have been registered so they can be with us at all times. That's why they have ID tags on their bandanas. The principal tried to fight it but I'm betting papa or mama put him in his place". Izuku snorted as his brother spoke.

‘It was mama, you should have heard the man shrieking at the nasty principal. It was amusing.’ Shimu chuckled as she confirmed it.

The brothers sat down and pulled out their bento’s and both groaned. They were stuffed full and had lovey dovey notes from mama and papa in them. Denki and Monoma watched them with soft smiles. “Thanks for standing up to them for us, you didn't have to and now you will be targets. I'm sorry.” Denki spoke softly. Izuku shrugged softly “it's nothing, plus electricity quirks are notoriously hard to control, and i'm betting you’ve had little help with it. I'll help you. As for the comment on quirklessness. I'm quirkless so that just pissed me off.” izuku shrugged as he spoke. He wasn't ashamed of it anymore, he was proud of it.

Both blondes looked shocked at the boy's words. “You’re quirkless?” Monoma asked in awe. Roki glared at the boy. “Got a problem with that?” his voice was dark and izuku sighed and smacked his shoulder softly. Monoma raised his hands in surrender. “Not at all!! One of our old foster sisters was quirkless, she was the sweetest. I was just surprised.” the two boys soften and nod. The information was filed away for both boys. They knew foster care was bad. Izuku had been through the system and had barely gotten out alive.

The four boys settled down and the brothers began to eat. Izuku frowned when the two blondes didn't. “Let me guess they didn't give you lunch?” they nodded and izuku sighed softly and with a look to his brother they began to share their lunch. They chatted together over the lunch break while eating. The blondes were absolutely amazing. Roki had to put a hand over Izuku's mouth as he babbled about the boy’s quirks and embarrassed himself but no longer did he apologize for his tangents. Denki was excited by the boy and they chatted happily asking his own questions. Roki and Monoma groaned and face palmed at the two sunshine boys.

The rest of the day went on and the four boys stuck together. Other students asked about yasu and shimu and after a quick explanation they went back to listening to the teachers. Both boys still bored beyond belief. Once the bell rang izuku exchanged numbers with the boys and gave the numbers to his brother before they went on their ways. Mama was waiting for them outside of the school in civilian clothes. The man grinned brightly seeing his sons. Izuku ran up to the tall blond and flung himself into his arms “mama!” he called out in greeting. He didn't care who was around him or watching. “Hey jelly bean, did you have a good day?” he spun izuku around happily and ruffled roki’s hair. “It was okay, we broke the teacher with our introductions, and I think we made friends? Not sure though but I guess we will see. They have soul animals too!” he excitedly babbled as they began to walk home.

The two boys told their parents about the day, how bored they were in classes but it was okay because of the two blondes they had met. “Nope. no nuh uh. No loud blondes you two!” Shouta shook his head as he cried out. Hizashi gasped in indignation and oboro laughed at them both. Izuku and roki rolling their eyes at their dad. Once they got him calmed down they told the three men about the boys and their soul animals. The day had been a success at least and the family went to bed content.

Chapter 11

Notes:

sorry but.... not at all lol

Chapter Text

Kaminari Denki's quirk arrived in a very horrifying way. His father was abusive and one night he was scared and he and his twin sister were in the bathtub getting ready for bed when a loud bang and the sound of his father stomping closer terrified him and his quirk forced itself into the world. Sadly because of the water, his twin did not survive. His mother had a psychotic break after that and he was abandoned the next day at an orphanage, alone and terrified.

Monoma neito didn't have it too bad at first. His family was a well known family in a wealthy community. He loved his parents and they loved him as well. The problem was when a quirk didn't present itself by the time he was six. His parents had gotten frustrated and taken him to the quirk specialist to find out what was going on. When they learned of his quirk they were not happy. It was useless. After the appointment things went downhill. They would tell him how useless he was, and he was better off being quirkless with such a quirk. He didn't understand what was going on, not really. Sadly his home would not be a home for much longer when his father called a friend and paid them to have his son taken into the system.

Neito and Denki ended up in the same foster home. Denki had been there longer, he told the other blonde the unspoken rules. The best way not to be hurt, a way to get food when it was taken away from you and more. The two boys grew closer together as they grew up. Sadly neito was abused far worse than denki was, denki was a murderer a villain child but he still had a powerful quirk while neito was as good as quirkless without someone else. One night while dumpster diving when they were ten, they found Mamaru and Kurohane. Both boys cried when they learned of the animals and what it meant. They would never be alone again. Denki learned he would never hurt someone again because mamaru would help him. Neito learned that Kurohane had a tracking ability and could see other people's quirks to help him find ones to copy. None of them knew how to use the quirks of course but they were determined to figure it out.

Both boys soon learned their new friends had a habit of stealing,  finding shiny things. Denki was fascinated with some of the items the two would bring to them. Electronic parts and such. He decided he was going to learn all he could about the puzzle of creating things. He loved puzzles and with the help of neito they ended up hiding away in the library often. Neito, learning quirk science and denki learning engineering. Both boys were incredibly bright but the schools refused to admit it. Denki often ended up short circuiting because the quirk counselor refused to even attempt to help him, calling him a lost cause and because of neito’s quirk being copy, he was useless and couldn't possibly be as smart as the rest of the children. They were happy they had each other, the first day of third year middle school would change everything for the two, as soon as a white haired boy with a massive scar down his face, and a dark haired boy with bright heterochromic eyes and an apathetic look on his face sat down in the desks beside them.

The two boys enjoyed the time with their new friends. They often went over to their house and were amazed when they met the parents. Three pro heroes in one family, and apparently they were also training to become heroes. The brothers would help defend them at school, and still half way through the year no one knew the other's quirks except them, it was funny to watch their classmates try to figure it out. Sadly things were getting worse at home. One day Denki was doing the chores of the house and he heard Neito cry out in pain. The boy ran to help his brother and was shocked when he found the poor blonde on the ground bleeding and unconscious. Denki stepped between him and the abuser's sparks coming from his hands. He had learned to harness his quirk much better with the help of izuku, and the two had even planned support gear he could work on to help more.

The other kids backed off calling denki a murderer as they left laughing away with each other. Denki was scared. He checked neito and made sure he was breathing. He was going to get them help this time. He got his shoes on and left the house after making sure nothing would happen to his brother while he was gone. The blonde boy headed for the police station they lived close to. As soon as he got there he was in awe, standing there talking to the police officers was all might. The big man was smiling happily and laughing with the others.

Denki walked up to the desk and hesitantly began to speak. “I..i need some help please.” he said in a shy voice. The officer looked at him with a soft smile, all might turned to listen as well. “What can we help you with kiddo?” the officer asked in a calming voice. “Umm well you see…. Me and my brother…we live in a foster home…and, and they are abusing us…please help. My brother was beaten badly today…” he rushed out. When the officer frowned and asked him their names he told him. After a moment the officer sighed and rolled his eyes, he had looked at the kids file and saw the quirk incident and more.

Denki saw the change in demeanor of the officer and even of all might as he read over the other man's shoulder. “Kid, you need to stop wasting good officers' time. With the quirks of you and your brother it's easy to see your lying for attention or some other reason. You and that villainous quirk of yours should get back home and apologize to the wonderful people trying to take care of you. Now go before you are arrested.” all might boomed out to the kid. Denki flinched and shrank in on himself, tears flowing from his eyes as he turned and ran from the station.

Mamaru popped his head out of his hoodie pocket and nuzzled his arm.

‘I'm sorry denki. He had no right to say that.’ the ferret growled out in his mind

‘I know mamoru, but that's what everyone believes. We will never get out of that place.’

‘Why not tell your friends, their dads are pro heroes, they can help. None of them think your quirk is bad.’ denki thought about it before shaking his head

‘No as soon as they look at my file they will turn on us too… we just need to keep our heads down until ua.’ Mamoru wasn't so sure about that idea but knew the young teen wouldn't change his mind right then.

A few weeks went by after the issue with all might and the police station. Izuku and shoto noticed their new friends were withdrawing from them, they also noticed the fact they rarely had lunch, flinched at sudden movements and so much worse. The day izuku noticed bruising on neito’s neck was the day he refused to stand by. The boy tried to hide them but Izuku was trained by three pro heroes and an entire police force on top of nedzu sensei, things weren't going to be hidden so easily from him.

He and roki stormed into the house slamming the door as they walked side by side murderous looks on their faces. Izuku pulled out his laptop and began to type away furiously as he hacked into multiple agencies. Roki walked to their parents' rooms to find dad and mama sitting there reading. “We need you guys. It's time for another kidnapping.” the two looked at each other with frowns and then shouta just sighed as if he was already so done. They had only technically kidnapped two children, and really Touya wasn't actually a kidnapping either, he was a runaway. When roki came back into the room he flopped down beside his brother with a frown. “What did you two find?” He asked Shimu and izuku.

The teen looked up with a dark look.  “Alright so both of them are in the system, apparently after a quirk accident when denki manifested his quirk he was put on the dangerous quirk registry. We both know neito is treated more like he is quirkless so i don't have to tell you what's on his file. It looks like the family has a clean background but there's a lot of fishy things from the records. They are both up for adoption, but I'm not sure they ever even get the chance.”  The two men froze as they listened to their son speak. “Dad mama, we need to get them out of there. They aren't safe.” Zashi nodded and looked to shouta who tilted his head. “Explain.” the white haired boy nodded.

“In the last few weeks they have been pulling away, both have lost weight. I don't think they are sleeping, and today neito came to school hiding bruises on his neck. Denki is jumpy and looking at everyone like they are going to turn on them at any moment. They won't talk to us about anything anymore except frivolous things.” the man nodded and pulled out his phone to call tsuki and walked away. Hizashi smiled at his sons. “Don't worry jelly bean, icicle, we will get them out…though…we may need a new place.” as soon as the words left his mouth an alert on izuku’s laptop made the family turn.

Ratgod:

Izu-kun i see we are planning another rescue.

Don't worry about space, I have asked cementos to build a new dwelling for you on campus.

Tell shouta-kun and hizashi-kun I'll call them with the details later.

Hizashi paled when he saw the message from nedzu on the screen. Both teens giggled at their mama’s reaction to it. They all knew Nedzu got bored and kept alerts for when Izuku started hacking into things. It kept him entertained to see what the boy was up to. Shouta came back from his room and sighed. “Alright so I have a feeling if we just barge in there things won't go well. So honey, how about we make an appointment to go adopt some kids.” Hizashi laughed, shaking his head at his husband's antics just as Oboro walked in removing his goggles looking around curiously. “Who did Izu kill?” he asked conspiratorially.

Izuku squeaked out an offended noise and crossed his arms. “No one…yet.” The family laughed at the boy who was now pouting. Shouta turned and smirked at him. “It seems izuku thinks we need more children.” hizashi shuttered softly “and now the rat thinks it's a good time to finally get us to live on campus since this house is too small.” Both shouta and oboro groaned as if that was the last thing they wanted to hear. They had been denying the principal for years now.

It took them a few days to get an appointment to see the kids and tour the home, but soon shouta and hizashi were standing hand in hand in front of a normal looking home. The deja vu shouta was feeling right then made him grit his teeth so he didn't just break down the door and find the kids. He had grown fond of his sons’ friends over the year when they came over to visit and sleep over. They had all noticed the signs of abuse but not anything concrete enough to do anything.

After they looked at each other, Hizashi nodded and they walked up to the door. He knocked lightly and waited. A younger looking woman came and opened the door with a wide smile “you must be aizawa san and yamada san, welcome. Come on in, the kids are in the living room.” Her voice was light as she spoke but her eyes darted down a hallway before she led them into a large living room where three children sat. Hizashi looked over at the children and hid his frown. Neither of the boys they came for were sitting there. Shouta looked at the woman with his head tilted. “Is this all the children here? I was under the impression that you had two boys around fourteen years old.”

The woman frowned and shocked her head but it was easy to see she was nervous. “I'm not sure where you heard that aizawa-san but no we haven't had children that age in some time now.”  They hummed softly and went into the living room to sit down. “Now children, why don't you introduce yourselves to the nice couple.” The woman's voice was a bit strained. A young girl with blonde hair almost the same color as Hizashi stood up and gave them a bright smile. “Hi, I'm Mina korika. I'm six years old and my quirk is hydrokinesis. It's a pleasure to meet you.”

They nodded and Hizashi grabbed his husband's hand and squeezed a bit harder. This was not supposed to be the norm for children. Quirks didn't matter. A boy with short black hair and cat-like eyes stood next “Hi i'm Hiroshi Severen, and my quirk is feline transformation. I can turn into any large cat I've seen.” Before the last young girl spoke, Hizashi looked at the woman with a shy smile. “I hate to be a bother, but is there a restroom I could use?” The kids snickered a little as the woman smiled and nodded. “Of course yamada-san, this way.” She led him down the hallway and showed him to the restroom before heading back to keep an eye on the kids.

Hizashi rinsed his hands and waited a few moments before silently coming through the door again and going to investigate. There was no way in hell his jelly bean had been wrong about what home the boys were in. He found a few doors open and easily accessed, but at the back of the home was a door that was locked with a padlock. Before he did anything he took a picture with his phone. Taking out his trusty lockpicks he made fast work of it and opened the door. It led down to a pitch black basement. He silently walked down the stairs and turned on the flashlight on his phone so he could see. Once he was down there he shivered softly at the cold temperature.

He moved the light around the room until he heard a whimper. He moved the light to where the sound was coming from and his heart broke. There, tied to a chair with rubber bindings was denki kaminari, he had a gag in his mouth and worse was a tub of water under his feet. He knew why it was there, even with the rubber restraints the kid's quirk was powerful, this way if the kid used it even by accident it would hurt him and not help him. He moved the light a bit more and found Neito unconscious on the hard ground tied with his hands behind his back and a muzzle on his face.

Swiftly, Hizashi moved and tossed the water away from the young boy. He didn't know how long he had been down there for. He knew he should get pictures but he needed to make sure the poor kid was okay first. He removed the gag from his mouth and gave him a reassuring smile. “It's alright lightning bug, I'm here to get you guys out. Shou is upstairs right now and i've alerted tsuki… What happened to neito?” he could see the lightning fissures on his skin and winced. He knew those were painful and would scar.

Denki whimpered softly and leaned into his chest taking big gulps of air. “We…we were brought down here c-cause a couple was coming to look at the kids…they didn't want me and nei to be seen… nei fought them when they put the muzzle on him and they beat him badly…please help us.” he nodded and stood back for a brief moment. “I have to take a picture kiddo, close your eyes for me.” The kid nodded and let him take the picture before Hizashi moved to remove the restraints from both boys.

He heard the sound of heels on the stairs before he heard the screeching sound of the woman. “What are you doing down here!!” she yelled as she tried to move closer to him. Shouta had her wrapped in his capture weapon swiftly to the shock of the other kids. Zashi turned cold eyes on the woman. “You are under arrest for lying to two pro heroes and child abuse. And I know there will be more charges once we are done investigating.” he growled out. The woman struggled against the weapon. “Those kids are useless, villains in the making!! They needed to be kept away from the other children so as not to hurt them.” She tried to defend herself. Shouta rolled his eyes. “Bull shit lady, we know these two and they wouldn't hurt a fly. Zashi, i'll call an ambulance and the boys to meet us there.”

He nodded as Denki helped him get the restraints from neito. He was bleeding but after a quick examination Hizashi decided he would be alright. “W-what's gonna happen to us now Mr mic? I..i don't want them to split us up.” his voice broke as he spoke to the adult before him. Sparks of electricity coming off of him. “It's alright, you are both coming home with us. Izuku told us what's been going on, he’s excited to have more brothers.” The boy looked shocked by that but he just gave him a smile as he walked over to the cage against the wall. He was angry seeing the ferret and raven locked away. This was absolute cruelty. He broke the lock and let them out to go to their humans. “It's over denki, you are both safe now. I'll make sure of it.” That was what broke the dam and the blonde began to sob as hizashi wrapped his arms around him as they waited for medical help to arrive.

Chapter Text

It had been six months since the family had been all together and moved onto campus. Their new children had trouble settling in at first not trusting the fact it was safe and was permanent. Thankfully their soul animals, and their new brothers, had helped with anything they needed. They found out that denki was an inventor extraordinaire, and had introduced him to the hatsume’s a few weeks after they had brought him home. Neito was huge on quirk science and he and Izuku were often found in a corner or out on the deck talking about all things quirk related. Once they had all started training together the adults were shocked and happy how well they worked as a team, everyone looking to izuku for guidance. Nedzu was also happy about this development and told them he would have a gym built for the unit to use once school was in again.

With entrance exams coming up the house was abuzz with activity, studying and anxiety. Shouta had no idea how he survived the week leading up to that day. He was angry when the commission refused to let the soul animals with the boys during the exam, and even more annoyed that they were being split up. They wanted a unit, this was a good way to prove what they could do to start with.

The family woke up early on the day of the exam. Trying to wrangle five kids and four different soul animals was not an easy task for anyone. Especially with two underground hero’s who had gotten home late from patrol the night before. Oboro rubbed his eyes as he rolled out of bed. He could hear Hizashi calling out to the kids. Shouta sighed and shook his head. “Why, why is it today. I want to sleep more stormy.” he put a pillow over his head and tried to ignore the rest of his household. “Come on starlight, get up. Or ill sick bug on you.`` Shouta groaned and tossed the pillow at his husband.

Hizashi came and poked his head into the room and glared at them “come on you two, breakfast is finished and we have to get going. Boro, Touya wants you to know Tsuki will meet you at the station.” Both men nodded and rolled from the bed. Shouta changed into his hero uniform and kissed oboro softly before heading out to the table where the family was gathered. Denki and neito were sitting with their heads together, some invention between them, izu had his laptop out and was typing away.

Roki on the other hand, had a biology book in his hand reading while he was eating his breakfast. Shouta sighed and shook his head. “Alright guys! Books away, denki you know the rules no inventions at the table.`` The kids looked up and glared at him  but moved to put their things away. The family finally all sat down together. “Alright kiddo, the exam is going to be busy. The soul animals will be with me in the observation room since the hc is stupid. And nedzu says they will probably split you up.” the kids groaned. They had been training together for six months  now. All four of them worked well as a team, and they were a unit.

The family walked into the school and split up. Hizashi walked to the auditorium so he was ready to proctor the written exam. The kids headed to the same place all sitting together. Izuku walked in the front, roki right by his side, denki and nieto on either side of them. For anyone who were to see them they would instantly tell they were a unit. They wouldn't know what kind of unit though, few people understood U.H.U’s.

Shouta on the other hand was a sight to see. On one shoulder was a large raven watching everything going on around him, on one side of him walked a large half black half white wolf. On the other side of him walked a white two tailed kitsune, her head held high as she walked. Sticking out of one of the  pouches of his utility belt was an albino ferret. His reputation would be destroyed if any of his students saw him like this. He groaned and shook his head as he walked into the staff room. Nem looked up from her desk and giggled. Ectoplasm looked at the man and shook his head. “Looks like shouta got babysitting duty.” Snipe laughed and so did powerloader.

Shouta groaned and sat down at his desk and dropped his head with a loud smack. Of course his co-workers would make fun of him. It wasn't like they didn't see the soul animals around the school all the time.

The unit sat in the auditorium chatting softly between themselves. Other kids began to fill the room and they felt eyes on them. Izuku turned when he saw tenya walk in and glare. He rolled his eyes and turned to roki. “Apparently pompous people think glaring will do something.” he chuckled and Roki shook his head. “Maybe he needs to eat mat some more.” the four chuckled. The test soon began and they paid attention to what they were doing. All of them were prepared, izuku found it laughably easy. He finished the booklet in half an hour and handed it to mama with a smirk. The rest of the unit followed not long afterwards. Instead of going to and staying in the cafeteria they grabbed their lunch and headed to the staff room to sit in peace while they ate.

The kids finished their lunch and headed back to watch the rundown of the practical. Of course Iida had to go and interrupt mama about the robots. He rolled his eyes and muttered to Denki about patience. Iida turned his gaze to them and before the pompous ass could say anything towards him mama took control and explained the rest of it. Soon the unit was split up and headed for the exams.

Izuku rolled his eyes as he spotted Iida standing there in the crowd. The kid was just glaring at him for no reason. Such a quirkest fool. As soon as the gates opened he ran, not waiting for a countdown. There was no such thing in life. He heard mama yell just that and laughed. Izuku moved through the city and found a two pointer. He swiftly broke it down using its weak points.as soon as it was down he grabbed debris and decided it would work best as a weapon.

The exam wasn't hard, he had been preparing for it for so long after all. As the white haired boy ran he wasn't paying attention as he rounded the corner and ran into someone. Both bodies fell to the floor. Izuk was quick to get up as he heard the purple haired zombie speak “stupid robots, stupid biased exam. What am I supposed to do against robots?” Izuku frowned for a moment but when the words registered anger burned into him as he looked at the kid. “If i can do this exam without any quirk then so can you with whatever the hell you have. Stop whining and having deluded views of powerful quirks and work your ass off to prove people wrong. Now pick up some debri and get your ass moving! They’re weak at the joints.” and with that he turned and ran off leaving the cute but stupid boy behind gaping at his back.

By the end of the exam he knew he had done well. His knuckles were bloody and broken open and his chest heaved from exertion. He had saved many from debri and robots and he was proud of himself. When granny chiyo came over she tisked at him after she cleaned up his knuckles and gave him a kiss on the forehead. “Alright go get some protein, the boys are probably waiting for you already. Have a cuddle pile nap.”  he smiled and nodded thanking her as he walked back to the busses and then once in the school he headed for the teachers lounge. The unit filed in around him as they walked. Once in dad's office the four of them fell to the ground one on top of each other and fell asleep.

Back in the observation room:

The teachers began to file into the room happily chatting amongst themselves as they waited for the exams to begin. Shouta groaned as he walked into the room, coffee in hand and animals back in place. He looked around and glared when he spotted yagi sitting there in his skinny form. He hated the man, always had but after what his kids has told him he wanted to murder the man. He rolled his eyes as the blonde turned his eyes towards him with a frown on his stupid face. “Young Aizawa, why do you have pets with you? This is a school after all, not some petting zoo.” the man had the gaul to have disapproval lacing his tone. He ignored him and sat down, his gray eyes turned to shimu first

“Shimu, like I have told Bunny time and time again, no plotting world domination with the rat until third year.” the kitsune just gave him a look before padding over to sit with nedzu. Then he turned his eyes to the ferret in his pouch. “Mamarou, do not go around biting peoples ankles please. I don't need the distraction of people yelling.'' The ferret nipped him before scurrying out of his pouch to find a good napping spot. Yagi sat there, his face getting more red as he watched the hero interact with the animals. “Kurohane, if i find out you decided to steal something shiny from anyone today i swear to kami you will be so grounded!” The raven on his shoulder cawed loudly in indignation and flew over to perch on midnight's shoulder, the woman giggling at shouta scolding the soul animals. Then his eyes turned to the large wolf at his feet. “Enjoy your nap yasu.” the wolf yawned and lay down at his feet, she never needed scolding but her eyes didn't leave yagi a soft growl in her chest.

Yagi was fed up with being ignored and buffed up into his muscular form and turned to shouta who just raised an eyebrow to the man. “You should show me some respect young aizawa! I am the number one hero after all, and I asked you a question. Why you are holding a conversation with stupid animals instead of answering me is ludicris.” the room went dead silent as a snarl came from both shimu and yasu. Mamaru had skurried through the room and towards all might. The ferret was being watched by nedzu as he went over and chomped down on the blond idiot's leg. Yagi cried out in pain and Kurohane flapped over making a pass around the room, the raven grabbing all mights wallet discreetly as he did so before landing again on midnight's shoulder.

“Yagi, i suggest you learn to watch that mouth of yours. These animals are soul animals to four of my sons, they have more intelligence in them than you do. As for respect, I don't show respect to people who go around calling children liars and telling them they can't be heroes. Now sit your ass down before I make you.” the man sputtered. The angry aura in the room was thick. The sound of Hizashi's voice made them turn back to the screens and watch the exam.

Shouta was enjoying watching the boys. Like Nedzu though he was annoyed by them being split up during the exam. He laughed when he saw bunny lecturing a purple haired kid about getting up and fighting for his spot, the kid looked absolutely starstruck when bunny ran the other way afterwards. Denki was doing great and so far had kept his voltage down enough that he didn't short out. Izuku was still working with his brother on that one. Roki was doing well focusing more on rescue than attacking. And he laughed and shook his head at Neito, the kid must have copied all his brother's quirks before they split up and was just dancing around destroying things.

He groaned as he heard Yagi speak again. “What is the white haired kids' quirk? He hasn't used it yet, seems like he shouldn't be there if he isn't going to put his all into it.” shouta was about to speak when nedzu replied instead, his voice was dangerous. “That is yamazawa izuku. And he is putting his all into it…well mostly, he’s quirkless.” the blonde's face darkened as he heard the words quirkless. “That boy shouldnt be in the exam, he could get hurt. Heroes need strong quirks to help them or they end up dead. Nedzu pull him out.” the white kitsune was growling at him, yagi thought he saw something familiar in the animals eyes but that was ridiculous. “Yagi, don't say another word against my personal student. That boy deserves to be here probably more than any of the other students. Keep your quirkist comments to yourself. Not one of the staff will back you when it comes to izuku.`` Yagi looked around the room and saw the angry faces of the rest of the staff. He would have to go to the commission about this it seemed.

Once the exam was finished the staff went over the scores and began to claim the kids. “The unit stays with me, and I will fight anyone who tries to say otherwise.”  once again yagi frowned at him “Unit?” nedzu cackled and nodded “yes. Four boys have been slated for the first underground hero unit project. Shouta has been training the boys for the last six months now. Of course they stay with you, Vlad wouldn't know what to do with the gremlins.” midnight and shouta laughed and vlad just rolled his eyes. He had hidden it well but he agreed with Yagi about the brat. He didn't deserve a place in this school.

As soon as the meetings were over and the classes were set, shouta and hizashi walked back to the lounge to find their kids all napping in a massive pile with their soul animals snuggled with them. Zashi cooed and took many photos of the sweet sight before the two men woke them to head home for the night.

Chapter Text

The morning of the first day was almost as chaotic as the day of the entrance exams for the large family. It was a good thing they had a house on campus or they would never have made it to the school on time. The unit and brothers were all dressed and Neito rolled his eyes at the looks of Izuku's tie before just fixing it himself. Roki glared at Denki and then raised an eyebrow and held out a hand to the blonde boy for a moment before something was placed in his hand.

“Really spark? You know dad would have had a kanipshin if you brought one of your inventions into the classroom.”

The blonde rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. “Yeah i know, but it's almost done and i was hoping to show uncle jimma today.” denki replied a bit sheepishly

“Don't worry sparky, we can probably bug him at lunch and you can show him the blueprints instead. Come on, let's get out the door before papa sends mama after us.” izuku said to the other three and they moved as one and headed out of the house to find two out of three parents waiting for them. They stopped in front of dad and the man just raised an eyebrow at izuku.

“Bunny, how many knives do you have on you?” he asked in a dead voice as mama giggled beside him.

“I plead the fifth.” he grumbled softly

“We are in Japan brat, i'll let you keep your emotional support blade IF you actually listen to shimu and not stab tenya when you walk in the door of the classroom.”

The boy huffed and looked at the kitsune at his feet and nodded, disarming the rest of his blades in annoyance. The soul animals all laughed at the white haired human. They all loved their human family after all. The family, plus soul animals soon walked from their yard and towards the school. The unit walked as they always did, izuku and roki in the front with denki beside roki and neito beside izuku. They didn't even notice they did this anymore, it was so ingrained into them, just as following orders from izuku without hesitation was.

Once at the school the family made it to the teachers lounge the kids flopped onto one of the big comfy couches and snuggled up to each other, which of course made auntie nem coo at them. It was a little while later when the door opened loudly and all might walked in shouting as always. The entire room froze and the four boys glared angrily at the hero who just looked confused. Izuku stood and with a simple hand movement, unseen by anyone but their parents the unit followed him out of the room.

“Skeletor.” izuku muttered as he walked past

“Quirkest buffoon” roki right behind him.

“Ass might” denki growled

“All bitch” neito glared as he walked from the room

The hero frowned in confusion at the insults the kids had spouted as they walked past him. He didn't know these children and they had been incredibly disrespectful. He would deal with them in class if he had to. He didn't notice Hizashi hiding giggles in his arm as he lay his head on his desk, or the proud smirk of Aizawa as the kids left the room.

The unit headed for the classroom together. Other students looked at them curiously as they walked. Of course the upperclassmen knew the sight well and many waved and greeted izuku happily. After all izuku and roki spend much of their time in the school. Denki and Neito had a lot of time as well but not as much. They reached the classroom and could already hear iida scolding someone and they all rolled their eyes.

'Remember little one. No stabbing him' izuku huffed and shook his head softly. `I know shimu, I'll keep my knife in its sheath.'

The unit looked at him as if waiting for something. After a deep breath he opened the doors and they walked in. "no killing or maiming anyone Zu.'' Roki whispered to him and he chuckled while giving the boy a glare. He was ignoring the rest of the classroom and didn't notice the blonde boy go white as a ghost when he saw them. Izuku turned as he heard Iida scoff and raised an eyebrow.

" Got something to say robo cop?" he snarled at the blue haired teen.

"zuzu…" the choked voice caught his attention and he turned to look at the person who spoke and his entire posture changed.

"KitKat?" his voice, soft and unsure. His brothers looked at him confused but roki placed his hand on his shoulder and nodded

"Go Zu, I know you've been looking for him" only Roki knew about Kat, the boy who had helped keep him alive during the hell years. He rarely talked about it anymore after all.

When Katsuki nodded he had tears in his eyes and Izuku opened his arms for the boy. He rushed from his seat and flung himself into them. Izuku turned and led the explosive teen from the room and to the hallway. He smiled softly at his once friend, then enemy, then friend?

"it's okay Kat, uncle shou found me and saved me.."

"you vanished. One day you were just gone! Mom tried to find you but the orphanage was shut down and cops everywhere and no one would tell us anything! I thought you were dead!" the boy shouted at him. Izuku knew he wasn't really angry, he was scared and izu knew that feeling so well

" By the time recovery girl cleared me to go home, and I was stable enough to do much, we went to the apartment and were told you moved… I didn't know where to look '' He hadn't tried very hard if he was being honest. He had to heal from a lot of bad and his father's had made sure he did just that. Katsuki looked up at him and gave a shaky smile.

“Yeah mom wanted to move me away from Aldera after everything they did to you, and how they kept inflating my already big ego. So we moved out of the area, mom also wanted to leave the bad memories behind. We live pretty close to the school now. I bet my folks would love to see you again.”

He nodded and hugged his friend tight.

“So who are the extras you came in with?” he grumpily asked his friend. Izuku laughed and shook his head.

“Those aren't extra kats, those are my brothers. I'll introduce you later. Right now I think Shimu is going to bite us if we don't hurry and get into our desks.”

‘Damn right I will, little one, your dad will be annoyed if you aren't there and ready by the time he walks down the hallway.’ the kitsune nodded from her spot by the door watching them. Katsuki frowned and looked around before red eyes fell on the fox sitting there.

“Shimu?” he asked curiously as he wiped the tears from his eyes, feeling alot better than he had in years.

“Oh right!! Shimu, this is my friend kat!, kat this is shimu, my soul animal.”

The blonde looked between them with a frown but didn't say anything, just nodded. They walked back into the room together and his brother's eyes were on him instantly, three sets of eyes all watching him looking to make sure nothing was wrong with the teen. He nodded softly in reassurance.

They went in and sat down, katsuki looking at the other animals in the room with curiosity. A loud excited shout came into the room as a girl with short brown hair came towards him. Roki, Denki and Neito stiffened but didn't move. They were all used to horrible people but with a silent motion of his hand they understood there was probably no threat yet.

“It's you!! Thank you for saving me from the zero pointer! You were so amazing.” She leaned over as if to show off her chest and Izuku had to roll his eyes over it. His very gay ass had no interest in the girl. Instead he smiled sheepishly at her. “It was no problem, I'm glad you made it in! You should probably sit down though, the teacher should be here soon.” the girl smiled but ignored the last part of his statement. The unit were all in their seats and as soon as they heard movement their eyes went to the floor. Seeing dad inchworm into the room made all of them snort but try to hide it seeing the glare they got from the man. No one else seemed to notice him there for several minutes, and kept talking amongst themselves.

He could see his dad was getting annoyed when he finally stood and was noticed by a girl with pink skin and mutations. “It took you five minutes for everyone but four of you to notice me. I expect better from my students.” his eyes landed on iida as if to scold him more than the others. After all, he knew the boy had been in training for a while now.

“My name is Aizawa shouta, I will be your home room and law and ethics teacher.” He pulled out a stack of gym uniforms from his sleeping bag and Izuku snorted, rolling his eyes at the man's antics. With a raised eyebrow look and a hidden sadistic smirk the man spoke again. “Grab a gym uniform, and meet me on the PE field. You have ten minutes. Bunny will show you the way.” and then he turned and walked from the room as a deep world weary groan followed him out.

“I swear I'm going to hide his jelly pouches for a month for that.” he grumbled as his brothers laughed at him and the other students looked at him in confusion. Iida of course opened his big fat mouth just then.

“That is highly inappropriate!! Teachers should not be using such familiar names for their students!” he cried out in indignation and izuku sighed, shaking his head.

“Iida stuff it. He has been calling me bunny since I was five. He’s not about to stop and neither will mama, so get over it and let's get out there before we’re late.” Shimu jumped up his arm and settled on his shoulder curling around his neck, mamaru snuggled into denki’s pocket for a nap like always and kurohane flew out the window with a caw. Yasu just huffed and followed Roki as they all walked from the room. Kat followed close, not wanting to lose sight of his once friend. Roki patted his shoulder with a complete deadpan look and monotone voice he spoke.

“There, there.” Izuku glared at the boy then stuck his tongue out at him.

“Just wait, he’s going to do it to you all too.”

Yeah they all knew their dad had a sadistic side, but the unit was full of chaotic gremlins and their parents knew it, hell the entire school knew it. Once they reached the locker rooms izuku gestured across the hall to one door.

“Girls, your locker room is through there, boys ours is here. I do suggest being quick, sensei…okay that feels weird, not doing it.” his brothers laughed softly. “Is probably timing us and we've already taken longer than he likes.”

The unit pushed open the door and headed into the locker room. Izuku and his brothers began to change and when he heard shocked gasps he froze and the unit surrounded him, hiding him from view.

“Dude! You have so many scars! I've seen fewer scars on literal pro’s! I thought the one on your face was bad” a red haired boy spoke out as he watched the unit. Izuku quickly changed and glared when the teens finally moved away, they moved into unit positions and crossed their arms. Kirishima took a step back and put his hands up in surrender.

“Commenting on someone's scars or appearance is rude, you never know what someone has been through and bringing them up could bring up past trauma. Think before you speak next time.” his good eye seemed to glow as he spoke, then he turned and left the locker room, the unit following soon after him. They reached the field and shouta looked them over with an analyzing eye.

“Okay who’d you kill?” he asked them with a deadpan voice and izuku snorted and rolled his eyes. “No one yet dad, but I probably scared the boys. Some redhead decided to comment on my scars.” Roki came over and nudged him softly knowing he wouldn't want a hug but some contact was always good. “But dad…kat is in the class….” his voice was soft when he said it, almost as if he was afraid to say it out loud.

Shouta’s eyes were wide when he heard the last part.

“Well i'm glad you havent stabbed anyone yet, or blown anything up….but i'll talk to kirishima later about it. He shouldn't have said anything…as for katsuki… I’ll keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't revert to his old ways, I am glad you get to see him again though.”

Izuku nodded and Denki and Neito looked at their brother curiously. “I'll tell you guys later, at home.” they nodded knowing he didn't want to talk about it. His dad knew everything about his past, they had had many sessions with inui about everything after all. He was healing but it takes a lot of time.

The rest of the students began to slowly file out after a few more minutes. He could see dad was getting impatient and he wondered who would survive the purge this year. There was a betting pool between the staff and it was always funny to watch.

Once everyone was gathered dad went into his speech and used kat to show what the testing would include. The unit cringed when they heard someone say fun and all took a step back when they saw the anger on their dad's face. The threat of expulsion made the students get upset and start yelling. When the brunette from earlier said something about fair izuku snorted loudly and leaned into rokis chest a bit. Everyone turned to him in confusion and he shrugged.

“Fair is a stupid word, life isnt fair and heroics is worse than not fair. Most heroes never get the chance to retire because they die in the field. My papa almost died during his highschool years. Natural disasters, hate crimes, and villains. Nothing about this career is fair, so why should the course be?” the students looked at him in shock and then turned back to their teacher who nodded.

“He’s right.” He turned and looked at the rest of the testing area. The testing wasn't difficult and the unit did incredibly well. Of course roki would be at the top of the pack, same with denki. He wasn't sure if neito had copied most of the quirks in the class but he figured the boy must have when he used several different quirks during the tests. He was pleased by how far Denki had come with his control after they had made his support items to keep him from frying his own brain.

When it was finally izuku's turn the boy smirked and looked at his dad. “I just have to stay in the circle, yes?” his dad glared at him and nodded knowing the smile on the boy's face ment trouble. Izuku nodded and looked at the ball, tossing it lightly in his hand as if thinking it over before he quickly turned and tossed the ball at his dad's face. The dark haired man was grateful for his reflexes, or he would have been hit, instead his capture weapon snapped out and flung the ball the other way.

‘Really little one?’ He smiled at Shimu but didn't reply as the students were crying out in anger.

“That was incredibly villainous!” one girl said.

“He just attacked a teacher! He should be expelled!” another shouted.

“That was so unmanly, why aren't you just using your quirk?” Kirishima asked.

Izuku turned and raised an eyebrow at the boy. “Can't use what I don't have, I just used the resources I had around me, I knew he wouldn't be hurt by my ball, so i don't really see an issue.”

When he finished speaking his classmates were frozen he could see the disgust on iida’s face. Katsuki moved forward and stood beside his friend glaring at the others.

“Wait…you're quirkless?” asked a dark haired boy with strange elbows.

“Got a problem with that?” Denki asked in anger, his hands crackling with electricity. Sero shook his head and fingered the vial he wore on a chain around his neck. Izuku softened and placed a hand on both boys' shoulders to calm them. He knew why the boy asked and izuku tilted his head in acknowledgement. Quirkless people didn't get the chance to have burials, they were cremated, and that was it. Most family members, if they still cared, kept the ashes in a special place. A few whispers of weak and geneless were whispered but they didn't see who it was so couldn't say anything. He saw something flash in the brunette's eyes but it was easily hidden.

Shouta stepped forward and glared with his quirk active to shut everyone up. “Enough! He is the top scorer of both the written and practical exams. He has earned his spot in the course. UA has a zero tolerance policy, any quirkism is grounds for expulsion. Now go back to the classroom and grab your syllabus. I'll see you tomorrow.”

“Sir, didn't you say the last place would be expelled?” iida asked sharply and shouta sighed done with the day already.

“No one is being expelled today, it was a logical ruse.”

A tall girl with a high pony tail looked at them all with a soft smile. “Of course it was, I thought everyone knew. I should have said something.” the unit began to cackle hysterically at her words and she looked at them with a frown. When izuku stopped laughing he wiped his eyes and spoke.

“That's eraserhead, he is the strictest teacher in UA history. He expelled his entire class last year on the first day. If he didn't see potential in someone he would have expelled them. So no it wasn't really a lie. You just all have potential.'' With that the unit walked back to the locker rooms snickering together as their classmates stood there in shock.

Chapter Text

The next day the boys left the house not excited one bit. All four of them knew heroics was the first class of the day and they all had bad experiences with all might. Who had decided the idiot should be allowed to teach children needed their head examined.

"No stabbing, maiming, or otherwise injuring the number one hero brats." Dad glared at them all and Izuku rolled his eyes "Bunny, if he gets sent to recovery girl I will tell your papa." That made the white haired boy sigh and nod in agreement. "good"

His brothers were all laughing at him as they walked into the school. He was always the one to get scolded by their dad because everyone knew how much of a chaos gremlin he was. "On the bright side zuzu, we get to see what uncle did for our costumes today!" Denki exclaimed happily and Neito looked at him in suspicion.

"How scared should we be by your support weapon's spark?" the blonde asked his brother who just grinned.

The four boys walked into the class and izuku was happy to see Kat there waiting for them. The explosive blonde looked at his brothers suspiciously but then his brothers did the same to him. He had told them all what had happened growing up and they all wanted to beat the other teen for what he had done before he had saved izuku.

"morning izu." the boy grumbled and sat down in front him

"morning Kat's. Ready for today?" he asked tilting his head

"hell yeah! I can't wait to beat all these extras! Gotta make sure you learned a few things while hiding away."

Roki snorted and izuku glared while katsuki looked at him curiously

"get ready to eat mat boom boom boy."

"hah?" he asked and sneered at roki. Izuku sighed and shook his head.

"Roki, stop it. Everyone will learn during class.. As long as the idiot follows the plans dad wrote up for him." Denki and Neito gave them knowing looks. They all knew something was going to go wrong.

"Since when do you hate on all might so much nerd?"

"since we were kids. I looked into him more after my father… and then after he told me I couldn't be a hero because of my quirk status. He's a moron."

Bakugou thought about this as they all sat down at their desks as the bell rang. Shouta came in and looked over the classroom as if analyzing them all, which he was definitely doing. He gave the announcements easily to the class and just before the bell rang he glared at his children who snickered softly “now your next class is foundational heroics, be good hellspawn.”

A moment after the bell rang the door crashed open and all might walked through yelling. “I AM HERE!! To teach the next generation”

Izuku saw jirou and shoji flinch at his loud voice and he felt for them. Shimu and yasu growled softly as they flattened their ears against their heads.

“Now before we get to the lesson we need the most important part of being heroes! Costumes! He pressed a button and brief cases opened up and the class began to get excited.  “Grab your cases and meet me in gym gamma.” Izuku frowned and looked at his brothers. They weren't supposed to be in the mock cities during this lesson. They shrugged and grabbed their cases before heading to the change room of the gym.

The brothers' costumes were all very similar in appearance, black cargo pants, utility belts and their support gear. Izuku had his chained ninja daggers Denki had designed for him. He grinned as he put his leather jacket on and wrapped the chains around his chest and sheathed the blades. Roki had a long black trench coat  with red and blue stitching and flame designs coming up the bottom, on each wrist was a temperature regulator in case he couldn't use one side to keep him safe from his drawbacks and a bowstaff once again designed by their brother.

Neito had a more formal looking outfit with a few different pocket watches attached to his belt to keep his quirk times straight. Support wise he had taken after their auntie nem and had a cat of nine tails whip at his side, each strand could be controlled separately. Then there was Denki, he had a more casual looking design to his outfit, no jacket for him. Around his neck was a choker that kept electricity from reaching his brain, at his hip was what looked like a plasma gun, and on his back were a pair of electrified sai. He grinned sadistically at his brothers who all took a step back knowing how dangerous the kids' support items were, and knowing there were probably a hundred different items he could use hidden in his costume.

Izuku turned and raised an eyebrow at Katsuki's costume and shook his head.

“What nerd?” the boy asked angrily.

“Well first don't be an ass, now take off the grenades you dumbass.”

“What the fuck! No, I'm not taking them off, they’re amazing.”

“Katsuki! I helped you design that costume, and I know for a fact those gauntlets make your quirk stronger. They also have no protection for your wrists. I'd rather you not blow up your arms and shatter your bones. Denki can design you something better later”

The bonde went pale at his words and nodded, taking the support gear off and placing them back into his case. The five boys walked out to the observation room together. The unit leaned up against the wall waiting for all might to arrive. When the hero walked into the room and scowled when he saw the unit and their soul animals. With a forced smile he spoke loudly

"young man. There are no mangy animals allowed in the training rooms!"

Izuku raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms as shimu and yasu growled.

"all might. They are soul animals. Legally allowed to go anywhere we go. They are also registered as hero partners. So unless you wish to go against the law. They stay."

The man's smile became more strained as he forced out a condescending laugh.

"It is much too dangerous for unintelligent animals to participate in battle trials. They will need to stay here."

This pissed off all four soul animals and the four teens. Eyes narrowing

"except we aren't doing battle trials. I saw the lesson plans and we are supposed to be doing costume critique and an obstacle course. As for our soul animals I can assure you. They are a lot smarter than you are, so the next time you insult them they will defend themselves."

The hero's smile fell and Iida moved towards them, arms chopping.

" You are being disrespectful to our teacher! That is not acceptable, he has told us we are doing battle trials and it is not appropriate for a quirkless person to argue!"

Roki stepped forward with yasu and glared.

"it would be disrespectful if the man had a God damned teaching license! Izuku has more experience teaching than this moron does, and he even has his teaching license!"

Iida sputtered and all might laughed. He actually laughed. "nonsense! A quirkless child is not bright enough to have such a degree already. And hero training is much too dangerous. He will need to sit out."

All eyes turned to the hero and izuku growled and stepped into the man's bubble. Yes he could hear a few kids agreeing with both iida and all might but he didn't give a damn. He motioned to Denki and Neito to text dad.

" How dare you spout your quirkest views! I have been the personal student of Nedzu for Years now. I finished high school long ago and have a PhD in quirk science plus my teaching degree. You on the other hand just yell, smash and smile. You don't know the first thing about teaching. The fact that you want to put children who have absolutely no training into a battle scenario shows exactly that! "

He could see the man was getting angry with every word that was spoken.

" hey… izubro… maybe you should stop… he is the teacher after all" Kirishima spoke hesitantly.

Izuku turned and looked at the kid and shook his head. "I'll stop when dad shows up to show this over inflated blow up doll what a real teacher is."

Everyone looked at him with shock. All mights face was red with fury.

"How dare you!"

Before anything else could happen shouta walked in the door and glared.

"Everyone move to gym beta and meet me there. This is not where you’re supposed to be. Izuku, you and your unit show them the way."

Izuku nodded and together with his brothers led the way out of the room and to the right gym. The brothers led the way through the halls. A few of the upperclassmen waved and greeted the boys happily which confused the students. Once at the new gym izuku sat down and leaned his back against roki’s and closed his eyes already tired.

‘Well at least you didn't stab him or maim him little one. I'm proud of your self control.’

Izuku laughed and so did the other boys when their own soul animals relayed what Shimu had said to the white haired boy. Iida scoffed at them and turned away while yayarouzu came over and gave a soft smile. Izuku looked up and frowned before turning to Denki who was all but vibrating to say something about her horrible costume.

“Yamazawa?” Izuku turned his attention back to the tall girl and tilted his head.

“Yes yayarouzu?” he asked curiously. She seemed a bit nervous.

“Do you really have your teaching degree? And a PhD in quirk sciences?” izuku nodded and the other students seemed to be excited, though a few of them seemed to not believe him. “Could…could we discuss my quirk later, when it's convenient for you. I have a theory that the quirk councilor was wrong about how my quirk works and would appreciate some feedback…if that's alright with you.”

Roki, neito and denki all groaned in aggravation as izuku lit up like a child on christmas morning. “I would love to! I have some theories about your quirk already and if you could answer a few of my questions I would be able to give you a breakdown afterwards…but on one condition.” he saw the girl turn a bit suspicious as she motioned for him to continue. “You let denki redesign that abomination of a costume you are wearing so he can stop vibrating like the energizer bunny.”

Yayarouzu blushed as she looked at Denki, who now had an offended look on his face that morphed into a pout. “I'm not the bunny here izu, you are!” Izuku scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Yeah…i wouldn't mind him looking it over..this isn't what i planned for at all.” izuku smiled at her and handed her a card with his number on it,

“Well shoot me a text and we can find a time to talk about it.” the girl nodded and walked away. He was glad at least one person was going to give him a chance. All might had really pissed him off. It wasn't long before dad walked into the room with an annoyed look on his face. The class turned and watched him curiously since he didn't have all might with him at all.

“Alright, now let's not waste more time than we already have. Everyone line up. We are going to do a costume critique and see what can be improved with your costumes. Make sure there are no mobility issues.”

It was ojiro who spoke up next as the students lined up. “Sensei, where is all might? Isn't he supposed to be teaching this class?” he fidgeted a bit as he spoke.

“Not today. All might is having a meeting with the principal right now on conduct. I'll be taking over this class for now.” The murmurs that went through the classroom were quiet and couldn't be understood. Soon dad was ripping into the kids on how their costumes needed improved.

“Uraraka, why are you in heels? That's a huge mobility issue and needs to be changed.”

“But sensei, I asked for them… they look amazing and I'm sure they will be fine. After all, other heroes wear heels in their costumes.”

“That may be, but you are not a hero, you are a student and you will end up breaking your ankle with those.”

The girl seemed annoyed but kept her mouth shut. Hagakure was sent back to put on her gym clothes so she wasn't naked, kirishima was told the same so he had a shirt on. Once everyone was ready and had their costumes gone over they moved towards one of the obstacle courses.

“Alright I'm going to send you guys two at a time through this course. No quirk usage is allowed today. I simply want to see how you move in your costumes. No support items should be used either.” Once more several students grumbled about having to do it quirkless. Izuku loved this course and smirked when he saw they were running it. He watched as each of his classmates went through it, and of course Uraraka twisted her ankle painfully and had to be helped off the course by izuku. She clung to him and blushed, apologizing profusely even if he could tell she wasn't really sorry.

Soon it was his turn, he was set with ojiro who mumbled an insult and slur under his breath that izuku could easily hear. “Guess you won't be happy to eat my dust then tail boy.” he grumbled in return to the others annoyance. When dad called start Izuku was off like a rocket. Shimu followed after him, easily staying by his side. He was up and over the obstacles jumping, climbing and dodging as if he was dancing through it. Ojiro was struggling with not using his tail to help him over things. Izuku finished the course breaking his record time and not even breathing hard. He smiled brightly at his brothers and his dad as he walked back to his classmates. Sero and tokoyami both congratulated him on his successful run. It took a few more minutes for Ojiro to finish the course and it was easy to see he was angry.

The rest of the morning went well and soon everyone was filing into the cafeteria for lunch. The unit was together along with a few other classmates. They walked up to lunch rush and the cooking hero smiled at them. “Well hello boys. I have your usual here for you. And no izuku I'm not giving you a giant coffee, just a regular one or hizashi will skin me alive.” The boys chuckled and took their food, once more confusing their classmates. Soon they were sitting at a table in the corner happily eating away. Others joined them soon after.

Uraraka tried to sit next to him but Roki was at his side. Denki and Neito were one table over with meimei and a few others. Tokoyami and Sero sat with Izuku and roki. Izuku sighed as the noise became louder as more and more kids started to come into the room. Tokoyami watched him in concern.

“Are you alright izuku?” the bird headed student asked.

“Yeah I'm okay, just not a fan of loud crowded places. I just have to get used to it.” the other two nodded when the boy opened his eyes again and gave them a soft smile. The solid quiet presence of Roki beside him helped.

The rest of the day went by quickly and he was so glad to be back home where he could sit in quiet and do his own research. He listened to mama talk about one of their students with sadness and izuku zoned in to listen a bit more. It seems like the cute purple boy was in gen-ed and bitter about it. He understood, but the kid should have done more. Trained his body at least before the entrance exam.

Nedzu was angry when he watched the cameras after his smart kit had had his brothers alert hm of a problem. The way yagi treated his grankits was unacceptable. But seeing the boy stand up for himself, when he had been so skittish a few years ago. He really had flourished under his parents' care. Now though he was tempted to rip into the symbol of peace as the man was dismissed by his dark kit. He watched him walk through the halls towards his office with a scowl of annoyance on his face.

As soon as he went to knock on the door nedzu hit the button and opened it to allow the man to enter his den. He watched him with a feral smile, yagi flopped down in a chair and looked at the rat in annoyance. Nedzu folded his paws and watched the man in silence for a while. It seemed to unsettle the hero and that made nedzu feel like crackling. Though he refrained.

"yagi. Do you know why you were sent to me?" he asked in a forced curious voice. The man huffed and shook his head.

"no principal I do not. It seems young aizawa has a problem with me."

"well yes that is true. He certainly does but I can understand his reasoning. It seems you decided to do a highly dangerous activity with the first years, and not what you had submitted paperwork for. As well as disregarding the law about soul animals and hero partners."

The blonde rolled his eyes at the last part." the whole concept is ridiculous and they do not need such creatures while in class with them. It's unbecoming. The exercise was the perfect choice to test out their costumes and get a feel for battle. I don't see an issue with it."

"oh?and trying to exclude a student who has earned their spot?"

"a quirkless child has no place in the hero course nedzu. He is just a liability waiting to happen just like I told him before." his voice was annoyed as he spoke. He didn't notice the fur rise on nedzu before the principal got himself under control once more.

" I will ask you not to speak about my grand kits like that yagi. Izuku is more than capable of protecting himself. He will not be a hero like you but he will be an amazing hero"

"quirkless cannot be heroes of any kind nedzu! The commission would never allow it. You need to make the boy see reality."

"ah but yagi, the commission is the one that is allowing it. He and his brothers are the first in an special project I am running. Now you will stop this foolishness now. From now on you will be supervised in all classes by another teacher. Since you so easily disregard the laws and common sense."

"I AM THE NUMBER ONE HERO! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!" he shouted as he stood in his buffed up form. nedzu growled and glared at him

"It is my decision. This is my school and even though you may be the number one hero. I am your boss, now get out of my office."

The man glared at him before storming out of the office in anger. He knew the buffoon would go to the commission now but it would do him no good. Nedzu leaned back in his chair and sipped his tea plans forming in his head already.

Notes:

hello beautiful chaos kats,

i apologize for this taking so long to come out. I've been struggling with this fic after burning out.
also another fic has taken over my brain and is now being posted as well.
this one like the others i have will update as i write it.

Chapter Text

The first week of school had gone well for the boys, the weekend had been spent with family, dabi of course kept making snide comments about those in the class that had made comments, and he had laughed so hard when once again he had pinned iida against the mats easily. Oboro was not happy when they were told about what All Might did but they all knew the man was an idiot before now.

So now the second week of school was starting and the boys were once more disarmed and sent to class. Shimu wrapped around Izuku's neck as always. She had gotten bigger in the last few months, but her weight was a comforting feeling for the boy. He looked around and smiled as he saw a few of those he now considered friends. Kat nodded to him as he sat down in his seat. He was enjoying school, even if he already knew most of the content they were being taught. His favorite classes were definitely the ones spent with nedzu.

Once school was out he and Kat decided to head off campus and to a new cat cafe that had just opened. They laughed as they walked through the streets towards the building.

“I can't believe you convinced me to do this nerd. Don't you have enough cats at home? Why do we have to go see more?”

“Kat shut up, no I don't have enough cats at home. We can never have enough cats no matter what mama says. And you're the one who says I should get out more and do normal kid things. So this is what we are doing. Next time we can do laser tag or paintball or some shit.”

“Hell yes!” Katsuki cheered as his friend placated him and he rolled his eyes fondly as they entered the cute building. It was brightly colored inside with comfortable looking booths and murals painted on the walls. Izuku had been there a few times since it opened already, most of the time alone or with his dad and papa. He smiled at the woman at the counter.

“Izu! I see you brought a friend today. We got a few new kittens last night.”

Izuku brightened happily as he looked at the menu. “That's awesome kima, i can't wait to give them all snuggles and the love they deserve.'' The woman giggled at the boy's antics and eyd the scowling blonde a little suspiciously. “Ignore him kima, he’s just sulking because he knows the cats will love me more than him.” The woman snorted and started putting in their orders as Katsuki looked at him in total offense. He laughed and shoved his friend as he paid for their orders and their time with the cats.

They headed to a booth in the back and sat down. Izuku rubbed at his eyes in annoyance as the phantom pains were starting to bother him again. He didn't want to bother anyone about it though. His brothers were busy with their friends as well after all.

“Nerd, stop rubbing it. Let me help damnit.`` Katsuki grumbled as he heated his hand and placed it over the scar and the boy's eye. Izuku sighed and melted into the warmth, oh how he wished he had a quirk like that some days, he really didn't mind being quirkless anymore. His parents had convinced him along with the rest of the ua staff, that it wasn't a big deal and he was not useless or worthless just because he was born different.

“Thanks kats, it's been hurting most of the day.” he said softly as he leaned into the boy's hand. Years ago he wouldn't have thought about getting this close to someone, but this was Katsuki, the boy that had saved him. Yes he had hurt him so badly many times but he was mostly over that. After all, the boy had saved him and helped keep him alive while he was waiting for his dad to save him.

“Why didn't you tell me, or hell, tell knock off elsa. We would have helped take the pain away. Your hobo dad even told us to watch for the pain. Why must you be so damned difficult?”

“Oh yeah, i'm the difficult one, mister i don't need anyone.” he snorted at the sulking look on the other boy's face. Once the pain had dulled he pulled back and they began to eat their treats. Izuku rarely had things like this, he took his health very seriously after all. He wiggled in happiness like the bunny his dad called him as he ate the tart he had gotten. He froze as he heard a soft “cute” from another booth. He turned and spotted the purple boy from the entrance exam and a blush lit his cheeks. He didn't realize anyone else was sitting in the cafe. The boy looked away when he noticed he was being looked at. He seemed a bit sad if izuku really thought about it. He knew the boy was in mama’s class and was trying to transfer after the sports festival. He wondered if the boy would like some help training for it.

“Come on nerd. Finish your food so you can get attacked by the cats you seem to need to love on.” he grumbled and izuku stuffed the rest of his tart in his mouth and looked smugly at his friend who rolled his eyes.

“I am totally telling yama you did that.”

Izuku’s eyes widened in horror as he chewed the food stuffed into his mouth. He heard a sort from Shimu and glared at her. ‘You deserve that little one, you know better han stuff your face hole like that’

‘Traitor, your supposed to be on my side here’

‘Not when you're gonna act like a starved street cat i'm not. Now go enjoy the cuddles, I'm going to have a nap. You are exhausting after all.’

“You’re mean’

He huffed and shook his head before grabbing his hot chocolate and heading to the cat room to get his snuggles. Katsuki followed after the other and smiled fondly as he watched the cats literally attack the smaller white haired boy as he sat down.

The two boys sat there for a while just happy to hang out with the cats and just relax. It wasn't often that either of them just had a lazy day, after all being a personal student to the rat God, plus heroes in training was hard work. Izuku opened his eyes when he heard his friend growl. He looked between Kat's and the purple haired boy confused for a moment.

"Kat's calm down, he's doing no harm"

Katsuki clicked his tongue in annoyance and looked away. Izuku shook his head and gave a small smile.

"I.. I just wanted to.. To umm thank you." the cute purple haired boy spoke hesitantly. Izuku tilted his head in confusion

"thank me? For what?"

"for.. For what you said at the exam.. You were right. I should have trained my body more.. You gave me the motivation to jot give up"

Izuku brightened at the boy's words.

"you're gonna try for the sports festival right? I heard mama… I mean Yamada sensei said something about it."

Katsuki started to laugh and izuku rolled his eyes. The boy looked between them in confusion. Izuku sighed

"It's not really a secret I guess but yeah Yamada sensei is one of my parents and he goes by mama at home…" he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. The purplenette nodded slowly.

'are you really quirkless?' the boy signed slowly. Izuku narrowed his eyes and Katsuki stopped laughing to glare at the boy ready to defend his friend.

" Yes I am.. Got an issue with that?"

Hitoshi raised his hands in surrender

"n-no! I.. I was just wondering…gives me some hope. If you can do it maybe they will accept a kid with a villainous quirk into the course"

Izuku rolled his eyes at the boy.

"there's no such thing"

"oh here we go again. Just remember to breathe this time while you rant."

Hitoshi frowned, confused by both boys. Of course there were villain quirks, he had been told it his entire life and it had been literally beaten into him.

“Quirks can not be villainous or heroic. They are not sentient, and even those that are considered sentient quirks are not fully so, they follow the will of the user. A quirk is just another tool we are born with, well most people, like their eyesight. If a person uses their quirk to harm others or break the law, then the person is villainous, but the quirk is still just that, a quirk. So yes you could do alot of evil with your quirk, but you could also do a lot of good. I assume it is a mental quirk since there is such a stigma around such quirks, and since you sign questions but use your voice for everything else i'm going to assume it's a response based quirk. Either way, I as a quirkless person could pick up a gun and go on a rampage just as someone with a quirk can. So no. your quirk is not villainous and people who say otherwise are stupid.”

Izuku took a deep breath and looked at the boy and blushed. Shinsou was letting silent tears stream down his face, and it made Izuku worry he had said something wrong.

“I'm so sorry i didn't mean to offend you or anything”

“Shut up nerd, he’s happy and in shock. Most likely no one has ever told him half of what you just said before.”

Izuku made a small oh sound as he realized his friend was correct.

“Do, do you really think I could be a hero?” the soft voice asked

“Of…” and izuku went slack, his face blank as shinsou caught him in his quirk easily. After a moment he let him out when Katsuki growled at him.

“Holy fuck that is so cool!! My head has never been so quiet it's like floating on a cloud! Was that your quirk? Some kind of hypnosis?”

Shinsou was looking at him once more in shock and confusion. The boy didn't seem angry with him or anything. He actually seemed excited.

“It’s brainwashing…”

Both izuku and katsuki snorted and shook their heads.

“Whoever named that was an idiot. Brainwashing would be you planting suggestions for a later time, or changing the way a person thinks. From how the nerd is acting it's nothing like that.”

“Kats is right. It definitely feels more like a hypnosis quirk. You probably went to an idiot quirk doctor. I swear anyone can do it nowadays. I should talk to nedzu sensei about that and see if we can change things.”

Shinsou looked between the two and blushed a little bit. He had never had an experience like this before, especially with such a cute boy like the white haired one. He reminded him of sunshine after rainy days. He did wonder about the scar on his face but he didn't mention it, it was probably a sensitive subject.

“I'm izuku yamazawa by the way, and the angry one here is katsuki bakugou.”

“Hitoshi shinsou…nice to meet you..”

“Well shinsou, if you wanted to, we could help you get ready for the sports festival, we were planning on putting in some extra training as well after all. I'm not sure if i'll actually be participating though. I still have to talk to dad and papa about it, and probably nedzu sensei.” he thought wistfully about it and didn't notice his friend's glare.

“Wait…nedzu…sensei? As in the principal?”

“Mmhmm he’s been teaching me since i was younger. He's pretty much family now.” he smiled brightly at the other boy.

“If you’re really serious about helping, I'd love the help. I'm not really sure what I'm doing.”

Izuku nodded happily and they sat there and chatted the afternoon away about a plan for training and more. Shinsou was excited about it and a bit surprised he had made a new friend. By the time they parted ways they were all on a first name basis.

<><><>

Denki was excited as the school day let out and he was told he could go visit mei in the support labs as long as he didn't blow anything up too badly and listened to his uncle. Mamarou was sleeping in the pocket of his pants happily curled up ignoring the world. He planned to help with the costumes of the class, starting with momo and hagakure. Those two had, had the worst costumes of the bunch. With izuku going over and helping momo with her quirk he had been allowed the pleasure of fixing her costume. There were still a few people who didn't like the brothers but Denki really didn't care. He had his family and his own friends now and he wasn't going to let a few quirkest idiots stop him from enjoying his time in the school.

He skipped down the hallways and into the labs with a bright smile. He braced himself for impact as soon as he was past the threshold as he was body slammed by an excited pink haired ball of chaotic energy.

“Sparky!!” the voice shouted and he chuckled happily spinning the girl around lightly

“Hi meimei! Have you driven uncle jima to drink yet?” he asked as he heard a groan coming from the man's desk causing the two to giggle at each other.

“I would never! You wound me sparks!” She feigned hurt as she bent backwards as if to fall but Denki was still holding onto her as he rolled his eyes.

“You're almost as dramatic as papa is mei. Come on, let's get to making!”  he booped her nose as they split apart and headed for their work station. He wanted to laugh when he heard a soft bang from the teachers desk, knowing the man had let his head fall in exasperation after they began to work.

The two were working on new gloves for monoma, ones that would work with kurohane, to make it easier for the boy to copy others' quirks. They had woven his DNA into the fabric as well as added pockets into them, pockets he could store hair or other DNA into that he could touch with his skin to copy the person's quirk. It was still harder for the other blonde to do it from afar but they were working on quirk training for that. As they worked their adhd brains shifted and they started working on glitter bombs, it was a gifdt for roki and touya. They had been talking about pranking the flaming trash can for a while now and they knew it was only a matter of time before they asked for something to use. So the two mad geniuses decided to get ahead of them on it. Plus denki planned to test them out on all might during one of the lessons with the moron.

Neito looked around the mall waiting for his new friends. He worried they weren't going to show and were just pretending to be his friends. Yes he still had trauma and bad thoughts but Inui was helping him work on that during their sessions. Kurohane was perched on his shoulder looking around for shiny things to steal.

‘Kuro, please don't get me in trouble again. Tsuki told me next time he was gonna put a leash on you…and me.’ he rolled his eyes at the indignant caw the raven gave off. The people that walked by gave them strange looks but he was used to people doing that.

‘Hat man can flap his mouth all he wants, no way he can get a leash on me like that.’ the raven replied in annoyance. He liked the man but he did like to threaten them often. It wasn't his fault that he liked shiny things other people had. The bird ruffled his feathers a bit as he heard a loud voice coming towards them.

“kumo-chan!” the femenine voice drew his attention and he gave a small smile seeing the invisible girl and the rocker emo chick walking towards them. They had both been so nice to him and when jirou san had asked him to come to the mall he had been quick to agree. He loved shopping, unlike his brothers who had an absolutely horrendous fashion sense.

“Hi jirou, hi hagakure! Ready for a great day of shopping?” he asked them happily.

“Of course! We should hit the arcade and music stores too.” jirou said happily as she linked an arm around the blondes, hagakure did the same on the other side and it made nei laugh as they practically dragged him farther into the mall. Kurohane hopped from his human’s shoulder over to the invisible girls. It was funny seeing people's reactions when they saw the trio.

Of course the first stop was Hot Topic with jirou practically dragging him inside against his protests and hagakure laughing at his misery.

“Come on kumo-chan, I bet you'd be super hot in alt clothes. Trust me.” jirou said as she began to look over the outfits the store had to offer. He rolled his eyes and sighed. Okay so he wasn't too adverse to trying out a new style but this was a bit much in his opinion. Soon he had an armful of outfits thrust into his hands and was shoved into the changing rooms. He shook his head and sighed at the girl's antics.

“Alright alright i'll try this on, but you both owe me.”

They both laughed as he started to try on and show off the outfits. He blushed a few times as he showed them off and had the girls cooing over him and how he looked. He had to admit he didn't mind the dark colors and the different look it gave him. Soon they were done and he had two new outfits in a different style than he was used to. He knew to-nii was going to tease him relentlessly over it.

Kurohane flew off a little while later stating he was bored and going to find someone to bother that was more fun than they were. He rolled his eyes and warned the bird not to steal anything and to be good. All he got in return was a loud far away caw to which he chuckled about. The bird was a menace just like the others.

They headed through the mall towards the arcade, jirou was a little too excited as they passed the music store on the way and dragged them both inside to look at all the new albums and instruments that came in. Neito looked around curiously at the guitars, he had never tried to play any instruments before but as he listened to jirou talk about all the different brands and what not he began to grow a bit more interested. Yes he had his quirk science he worked on with izu, and the inventions he helped denki with but he didn't really have anything of his own like the others did.

“Hey jirou…would you teach me how to play?” he asked her as he stared at a beautiful acoustic guitar that seemed to call to him. The girl stopped talking and turned to the blonde with a huge smile on her face.

“Of course I will! We can hang out a few times a week if you want and I can help with the basics and everything. The one you’re looking at is perfect for you to start off with if you’re thinking about getting one for yourself.”

He smiled shyly at the girl and nodded. He had the money to buy it after all, all the kids had a credit card from their parents to hold the money they earned throughout the weeks with their jobs they worked for others. Plus his parents were pretty much filthy rich. He had never really cared to buy anything expensive except for his massive wardrobe his mama adored helping him with. Now though he really wanted the guitar.

“Okay! Let's come back after the arcade so no one tries to snatch it from us while we play some DDR” hagakure cheerfully piped in from beside them. Both teens nodded with huge smiles on their faces as they left the music store with plans to return later that day to pick out some beginner music books and the beautiful instrument.

By the time they left the arcade all three of them were sweaty and laughing hysterically. They were also starving and decided to go get some food before their last stop. It was starting to get late and he had to check in with the family before Izu started to worry and stalk them through the camera’s. He had done that a few times when he and Denki had lost track of time in one of their many adventures. It was a bit creepy but he also didn't blame the white haired brother.

They stopped at the food court and nei paid for their food before they sat down to eat and calm down. It had been an amazing day so far for all of them.

“Hey guys… you can both call me neito if you want to. Yamakumo is a bit of a mouthful, and we are friends.”

The girls both smiled widely at him “alright neito, you can call me kyoka then” jirou…no kyoka piped in happily as she ate a french fry

“Yeah! And call me tooru!” the other chimed in and the three friends chatted as they ate their dinner together. They were all tired but it was a good tired. Soon they were back in the music store and buying a bunch of things nei would need in order to learn to play. As the blonde walked back onto school grounds and towards his home he had a soft smile on his face. Mama was going to have a blast when he saw the new items he carried.

Roki smiled as he spotted tokoyami at the gates waiting for him. The bird headed boy seemed confused at being back at the school he had left an hour ago, to hang out with his new friend. They had planned a big bonfire in the backyard with a bunch of endeavor stuff he had for just this purpose, he also figured he could add some ass might stuff into it. Roki waved softly and put his hand back into Yasu’s fur. He wasn't used to having outside friends anymore. Heck his last two had become brothers.

“Hi tokoyami, hi dark shadow” he greeted the boy and his quirk as he swiped his id to allow the boy to enter the gates.

“Hello shirazawa. May I ask why we are on school property? I thought we were going to your home.”

Roki rubbed the back of his neck nervously “well yeah.. Me and my family live on campus though. There were too many of us in the old house so principal nedzu offered to have us live on campus so the commute to school for us and work for dad and mama was easier.”

“Your parents are teachers? That's so cool! Who are they? Do they teach us?” the sentient bird quirk asked as they floated around the dual quirk user. Roki chuckled and patted the shadow bird on the head.

“Yes they are our teachers' dark shadow. Aizawa sensei and Yamada sensei. Papa isn't a teacher though. He’s an underground hero and works more closely to the police than others do.”

“Such chaos. You have three parents? Is Yamada sensei mama then? He seems to be the type.”

Roki nodded as he led them along the path to the large home. Yasu let off a soft bark and parted ways. Most likely to tell papa the boy was back on property with his friend. The family had learned long ago how to communicate with the soul animals their sons all had, even without using words. The boys on the other hand just let their soul animals speak to each other and relay messages. So much easier and would make patrols when they were heroes a lot more effective in the end.

Once in the backyard Roki dropped the bag of merch and walked over to the fire pit.

“Ready to summon some demons? Maybe one of them will take-out endewhore.”

Fumi laughed and nodded as he dumped the bag of merch on the lawn. Roki got some firewood ready and they began to place the figures and other merch they had found in the pit before Roki lit it up with his left side. Yasu came out with two dark cloaks in her mouth and dropped them for the boys who quickly picked them up and put them on. Dark shadow buzzing away happily as the two boys began to chant away watching it burn.

Hizashi and Shouta stood in the doorway watching the two boys. “This is all your fault Shouta. He was so sweet and quiet when we first adopted him, and now look. He’s in the backyard summoning demons!”

The man rolled his eyes and sighed. “Oh no, don't blame this on me sunshine, this is all Oboro’s doing not mine. The kids don't listen to anything I say.”

No more than a moment later oboro arrived on a cloud and dropped down by the fire to begin chanting with his son and the other teen he didn't know.

“see!”
