Mourning and Thoughts.

Summary:

He finds that he doesn't want his family ever hurt.

Work Text:

Staring at her casket made Tartaglia think, why did La Signora fight the traveler? She must of knew the strengths the traveler had. Did she fight for her honour? No, she must of fought for the Tsaritsa. She must of also fought for her deceased lover, he smiled a bit to himself. He realized that she is now with her lover, the one she fought for, lived for. That woman did really not have much of a liking to Tartaglia, but even knowing that he did feel terrible for her. He wondered what it would be like in her shoes ( well heels ), he would be the same way as her if a loved one of his died. For example, if one of his siblings died he would go on a rage. A blood rage, kill anything in sight. But La Signora? She did no such.

He wondered how she held back something like that, how many nights she must of cried knowing that her lover was dead. "Oh? It looks as if Tartaglia is about cry about Rosalyne death?" Dottore. Of course that man had to notice the sadden look on his face, "am I not allowed to be sad of one of my comrades death?" He spoke with venom in his words, "we should all be sadden about her death, she was a wonderful woman." Arlecchino spoke as Columbina singing echoed through the Palace walls.

"She wasn't that much wonderful with some of us, bit of a-" "Enough Pantalone, don't say such words at her casket." While the bickering continued Tartaglia stared at the red pyro butterfly that landed on her casket, soon Pierro allowed the harbingers to leave. Tartaglia stayed for a few while, putting his gloved hand on the casket "Ajax?" Pulcinella spoke, Tartaglia jumped from his real name spoken. He turned around and faced the man, his hand still on La Signora casket "are you alright? You truly did seem sad." Pulcinella said in such a soft tone, "I was just thinking about why Rosanlyne must of sacrificed herself." Tartaglia would of been smacked by her for calling her by her name.

"We will never know now, she is only ashes now. But her sacrifice won't die in vain, her story will be told in the new Teyvat that Lord Tsaritsa will make." Tartaglia smiled, Pulcinella gave a small head nod that meant for Tartaglia to kneel down. He knelt down carefully to the man, Pulcinella pat the red head with a smile "and you will also share her story correct?" He asked moving his hand back to his sides "yes. Of course."

After that sappy funeral Tartaglia soon went home to his loving family, that certainly cheered up his mood. He spoke of meeting the traveler, a rockstar, and many more. His siblings enjoyed the stories, and wanted to meet the rockstar. In all honesty, he would love to see Xinyan again. She was fun to fight beside, definitely a help with his Hydro vision. Thinking about it again, she probably would never wanna see him again with being a Harbinger. Laying down in his comfortable bed, he told all his siblings goodnight and said that he needed his rest.

Going back to the thought of Xinyan hating him, he then thought that she was also considered an outcast by many Liyue people. So she must understand how he feels, smiling to himself. He would love to see her again, she like a little sister to him. He bets that even some of the harbingers would love her company. Perhaps Columbina would love her the most.

His thoughts went back to La Signora, and then it went to him one day losing one of his siblings. His gut flipped at that thought, he would kill whatever bastards killed one of his siblings. Tartaglia would never forgive himself for letting any of his siblings die, he knew his family are ingrave danger with him being a Harbinger that many want to kill. That's why he always made sure that his parents would have many weapons with them when had to leave, always getting reassured his family will be fine.

Choking back a small sob when his brain conjured up an image of Teucer, him being dead. Getting impaled by a ruin gaurd, being impaled by a sword, getting brutally tortured because of him. Because of him being a harbinger. He sat up from his bed, he needed to speak to Lord Tsaritsa. He needed to know that the Fatui will keep his family safe.
