Chapter Text

'I miss you Macaque..'

Sun Wukong thought silently as he held a flower, gazing down at a rock and loads of petals. He fought back the tears and cries welling up inside him.

He couldn't cry, not in front of MK.

"Monkey King.. are you-? '' MK asked as he glanced at his mentor.

"I. I'll be fine, bud." Wukong replied weakly, his voice just crumbling down every second.

"It's okay to cry Monkey King, healthy even." MK said kindly.

Monkey king weakly nodded as he fell to his knees clutching the flower as it crumbled. Wukong gave a painful bloodcurdling wail as every amount of pain resurfaced from him.

Mk crouched beside his mentor and put a hand on his back, "Monkey King?"

"Why didn't he tell me something was wrong?" Wukong said angrily as tears continued to pour down his snout. "He could have said something! I could have done something! Anything!" He cried.

Mk latched himself onto Monkey King in his best attempts to hug him, in return the Great Sage wrapped himself around his protégé as he collapsed in sobs and wails at the loss of his dearest friend and greatest enemy, the Six Eared-Macaque
