Work Text:

Present (2022)

“Yah! Why didn’t you tell me you’re coming home today?!” Bit-na demanded with a high-pitched voice and Sol think her eardrums are now damaged.

“You’re neither my mother nor my manager, Oh Bit-na. Why should I even tell you?” Sol deadpanned.

She’s currently at the airport and waiting for her luggage. She just arrived from the US after finishing all of her projects and contracts. She stayed there for about 2 years after she snatched a major role in Hollywood that skyrocketed her to fame

“I’m still you’re best friend you jerk. Just in case you have forgotten because you’re now an A-list Hollywood star. Anyway, that’s not the reason why I called you..”

Sol sighed. In all fairness, she really missed the voice of her nagging best friend. They seldom talk to each other when she was abroad because 1) the time difference and 2) their busy schedules

“If you’re going to share some new info about your new boy toy, then I don’t want to hear it—”

“Shut it you dumbass. Have you heard the news?”

“What news?” she asked and she finally caught sight of her luggage

“We’re reuniting..” Bit-na said non-chalantly.

Sol almost dropped her luggage

“What?! Wait what do you mean?”

It took sometime for Bit-na to answer. It seems like she finally caught her best friend’s attention and knew what Sol looked like right now and she’s taking her time to tease the taller girl

“Yah! Oh Bit-na! What do you mean?”Sol repeated and she heard the other girl chuckled and finally gave in. She can feel the anticipation from the other side

“We’re going to have a 2nd season for our drama”

Sol’s eyes almost popped out “What?!! Really? We’re doing ‘Regardless’ again?”

“Yes sweetie! I heard your agency have already agreed to it on your behalf and they already have your schedule. We’re going to start filming this coming winter!!” Bit-na sounded like a giddy teenager knowing that she will be reunited with her best friends

“It seems like I have no other choice, ain’t I?”

“Well duh, you’re one of the most loved character remember? I’m sure there’s gonna be a riot if in case you say ‘no’” Bit-na pointed out

“That’s for sure! Wait, how about the others? I mean, are we still going to work with the same cast and crew?”

“Yes we are. At the same time we’re going to have some fresh faces too. Also, almost everybody have already given their answers and they said that their on board now..”

Sol paused for a minute and remembered something. If they’re going to do the series again, then that means..

“Does that ‘everybody’ include…you know?” Sol trailed and both girls fell silent suddenly. Bit-na seemed to catch up on what Sol means

“Seo Ji-wan? Of course. I think she‘s one of those who immediately agreed to be in. That's why you have no other choice but to be in as well”

Sol is not quite sure what she’ll feel about that news. All memories from the last 2 years that she tried so hard to forget, came rushing unto her. Is fate really trying to play her again?

Ji-wan and Sol are both multi-faceted actresses. Both of them started off when they were young, but it was only recently, when the Korean media started to take notice of their range and talent. Sol started when she was 16, she was an exquisite model and she was one of the favorite faces of some of South Korea’s luxurious brands. She usually appears on different MVs or oftentimes playing some minor roles both on TV and films. Ji-wan, on the other hand debuted on acting when she was 18 years old. At first, she wanted to pursue a career being an idol. Given the fact the she have what it takes when comes to singing and dancing. Even so, Ji-wan fell in love with acting as well and decided to pursue that path instead. She had become a favorite and mostly a regular guest of different variety shows and CF actor to a lot of brands as well.

They first met in a drama where they played as a side couple whose role were being best friends turned into lovers after a decade long of mutual pining. Ji-wan was a literal ball of sunshine—that’s what Sol’s first impression to the younger girl. She’s not being exaggerated when she says that Ji-wan’s ethereal beauty can light up any room. She knows how to carry herself well and she exudes that confidence that Sol wishes to have.

She’s also a pro in terms of work. She was never late and always come ready and prepared for the day. The way she put her heart in every single scene that they shared, shows a lot about her immense talent. And even in the midst of everyone being tired from the day’s work, Ji-wan never loses her kilowatt smile just to cheer everyone up.

From the start, both of them have the mutual understanding that they wanted to give justice on their characters. Much more to represent the LGBTQ community in such a respectful and beautiful way that it will come out as an eye opener and acceptance that these kind of love and relationship is just as normal as any other kind of relationship that we all knew about.

That’s why the moment Ji-wan asked Sol to hang out in her apartment unit one afternoon to talked more about how they ‘re going to act out their scenes, Sol didn’t hesitate at all.

“So what are we going to do today?” Sol asked as she put down the snacks and sodas that Ji-wan asked her to buy on her way to the younger girl’s apartment.

Ji-wan was sitting on the couch, she was busy looking for something in her laptop

“Well first off, we’re going to have a movie marathon of the classic Lesbian movies. I made a list here..” she gave Sol her little notebook and the taller girl scanned through it.

“There’s like 10 movies here and 5 series. You sure we can finish it all today?”

“Of course not, you dumbo.. we’ll be stuck here for a week if we did.” Ji-wan patted the seat next to her, inviting the taller girl to sit so close to Ji-wan.

In between movies, Sol and Ji-wan were exchanging their thoughts and interpretation. There are laughter and crying as well whenever they get too emotional with the scenes that they were watching.

They are in their 4th movie now and both women are starting to get comfortable with each other. Ji-wan was already practically cuddling Sol. She was leaning on the taller girl side, head on her shoulder, and both hands on her waist--hugging Sol. Meanwhile, Sol’s arm was at first stretched at top of the sofa but eventually finding it on top of the younger girl’s shoulder. The younger girl was settled comfortably and Sol doesn’t really mind.

She was surprised to say the least. She was never a fan of cuddling, hugging or any form of physical touch that may look too intimate. She’s keeping almost everybody at arms length, not allowing anyone to cross her personal space because it oftentimes make her very anxious. So it was indeed a surprise to her why when it comes to Ji-wan, she’s allowing everything that the younger girl wanted to do with her.

There’s something about the younger girl’s touch that makes Sol’s inside calm down and rumble at the same time. That inexplicable soothing feeling when Ji-wan’s hands are running up and down her arm or when she puts it on the back of Sol’s neck while twirling her baby hairs. Sol also likes it whenever Ji-wan leans so close to her whenever the younger girl was showing her something on her phone. She likes it all and she’s not complaining if Ji-wan continues to invade her personal space.

After their movie night, Sol and Ji-wan become closer. They were inseparable . They are like the best friends that they were portraying in the drama—always together and attached to the hip. Wherever Sol goes, Ji-wan was there, and vice versa. Acting workshops says that to make your on screen partnership work or be effective, they must tend to always be together so that they can develop a bond and connection towards each other, and so they did just that.

They were taking care of each other whenever they were on set. Bringing foods for each other, making sure that the other was hydrated well. Sol, most of the time checks on Ji-wan, every now and then, even in between takes, she makes sure that the younger girl was comfortable. She was always chivalrous and gentle. She wanted to know if Ji-wan was okay even in the smallest touches that she makes.

They are also making a lot of improvised scenes—to make it more realistic and natural. Most of their interactions are half from their scripts and half from their own interpretation and likings. They were given the liberty to decide on a few things; like their wardrobe, the small details in accessories, up until what level of intimacy are they comfortable with.

Even on their rest days, they’re still together—giving the reason that they wanted to continue studying their characters. A regular movie marathon or binge watch some new series was always happening on Ji-wan’s apartment. Meanwhile, Sol is assigned on the food department, she’s buying all sorts of snacks that Ji-wan might loved. She also never fail to bring a pack or two of Ji-wan’s favorite gummy bears.

They are enjoying each other’s company. They are like a perfect dynamic-- Sol needs Ji-wan's positive energy and quirkiness to break all of her barriers and build her confidence while Ji-wan needs Sol to be her constant rock to ground her and the peace that the taller girl brings whenever she’s inside her arms.

“Yoon Sol..” Oh Bit-na, one of their co-actors and became practically her best friend as well, sat down beside her while she was reviewing her lines.

She was alone in her trailer and she was on stand-by waiting for her next scene with Ji-wan.

Bit-na looked around the trailer and made sure that they were really alone. The black-red haired girl was acting really strange when she finally looked at Sol.

“What’s up?” Sol turned to her for a moment to acknowledge her friend but brought back her eyes to her script

“I’ve been observing you for the past few days..” Bit-na trailed
Sol stopped reading her script but she’s still looking at the paper. She can feel the seriousness from the other girl’s voice and so she waited for Bit-na to continue

“You know I’m not the same as my character right? I don’t do gossips and you can trust me with whatever right?”

Sol nodded. Despite the few weeks that they’ve been together, Sol can really say that she finally gained some true and genuine people that she can consider as real friends in this industry.

Sol, Ji-wan, Bit-na and the series' lead star, Yu Na-bi, all became very close from the very beginning. Having a close age gaps, they definitely all have the same vibes and humor. They compliment and balance each other when it comes to their personalities. They have formed a thick bond wherein they understood each other instantly. They are even dubbed as the new F4 of Korea by their other workmates. They may all seem to start their friendship but all of them knew deep inside that it is a permanent group of friends who will always be there for each other.

“Sol-ah, is there something going on between you and Ji-wan?” Bit-na asked straightforwardly and without preamble

Sol’s heart stopped and dropped at that very moment. She even thought that she might not be breathing for a good 5 seconds. A lot of thoughts and questions was running through her mind and she feels like she’s malfunctioning

Sol turned to her slowly. Confusion, shock, fear and other inexplicable emotions are written all over Sol’s face

“W-what made you think of that?” Sol tried her hardest to speak normally but suddenly, there seems to have a lump in her throat that were blocking all the other words that she may spit out

“I told you. I’ve been observing. And I’m hearing some rumors around the staffs that you two might be taking these roles so seriously that you’re also bringing out these characters into real life”

Sol was even more shocked now. She wasn’t aware that these things are happening around her. She was too preoccupied with Ji-wan that she doesn’t realize that some people might get the wrong idea.

“Nothing is going on between us Bit-na. Ji-wan and I are just really close because how else we will be able to portray our characters well if we’re not building a bond or connection between us right?” Sol reasoned but Bit-na doesn’t seem to look convinced but she didn’t push it anyway.

Bit-na brought her hand to Sol’s shoulder and give a light squeeze. “I understand Yoon Sol. But if anything changes, please know that I’ll always be here to support and protect you guys. I know it’s just a short period of time but I love all three of you. I’m with you all the way” she gave Sol a warm smile before finally leaving and left Sol in her thoughts.

After that talk with Bit-na, Sol started to evaluate her feelings. She started to take notice on how she was really acting when Ji-wan is around. She was trying to be a bit conscious and careful when the younger girl was near her. But the more she tries, the more she fails. She cannot suppress her smile when Ji-wan was telling her stories . Or when she was acting out the latest memes that she found on her social media. She’s starting to feel a spark whenever they touch. A sudden increase in her heart rate when they’re so close together. The comforting sound of her laughter when she’s joking around their co-actors.

Sol thought to herself that maybe, Bit-na was right. Maybe she’s really has a special affection for her friend and co-actor. The fact that she wanted to protect Ji-wan-- that she wanted to keep that smile and radiance from the younger girl. Sol is ready to do anything to make Ji-wan happy. And she's also ready to be that person that will make Ji-wan happy.

Sol can feel that the strong connection and attraction keeps on growing between them especially during their confession scene. They were at a vacation house in which their group was supposed to spend their MT. It is also where Ji-wan’s character (Nari) was supposed to give Sol’s character (Luna) a hint of what she truly feels.

Everything was settled. Most of the actors are now resting as their scenes were done already. The only scene left to shoot was Sol and Ji-wan's scene.

The camera started rolling and both actors have internalized their characters well. Although nervous, they’ve prepared so much for this scene as it was the climax of their storyline.

Ji-wan was delivering her line smoothly. The agony and desperation can be felt in Ji-wan’s eyes while Sol’s confusion was written all over her face.
The script says that after Ji-wan says her line, they will stare at each other for a moment—as if to show how Nari and Luna have yet to tell something more but not right now, due to Nari’s drunken state.

No one from the crew are telling them to cut the scene. It seems like everybody was waiting if they are going to do some improvise. The directors are that confident when it comes to both of them.

They are approximately 4 inches away from each other. Ji-wan didn’t manage to calculate her position during her character’s outburst. She found herself clinging onto Sol’s neck. Since her character is said to be in a drunken state, the only plausible thing to do is to be irrational and give in to her desires

So what Ji-wan did next collected a few gasps from their audience

She kissed Sol.

Ji -wan intended to just make a slight lip brush. But the moment she tasted the cherry balm from Sol lips, her hands seem to got their mind on its own and locked Sol’s neck so she can push the taller girl harder towards her and have their lips locked.

Sol was frozen at that very moment. Her system completely shut down. Her mind was blank and the only thing she can recognize is the soft lips against her very own. Her raw emotion had showed itself on the camera.

Ji-wan dropped herself to Sol’s lap seconds later as a final act and Sol do her hardest to pull herself together and finish the scene. Sol delivered her final line and that’s where the director shouted “Cut!”

They were applauding, praise and thanked each other for their hard work. The director and writer was pleased with the outcome but they have yet to edit the scene and try to see if Ji-wan’s little stint will make it to the final cut.

After clearing up the area, Sol and Ji-wan was left inside the room as it was also their shared room for tonight as well. The atmosphere was awkward between the two. They are at the opposite side of the room and Ji-wan was following Sol with her eyes while the taller girl busies herself rummaging her overnight bag even if she not looking for anything in particular.

“Sol-ah” Ji-wan finally called out

Sol stopped whatever she’s doing and faced Ji-wan. The younger girl can sense Sol’s anxiousness based from her expression.

She came closer and sat across Sol. “I’m really sorry if I made you uncomfortable a while ago. Sorry if I didn’t consult with you first and did not have your consent. My emotions get the best of me and I was carried away by the scene”

Realizing it now, Ji-wan feels so embarrassed about what she did. She felt stupid and guilty, knowing that she took advantage of Sol. Sol who is generous and gentle with her all through out the entire filming and all the times they were together outside the camera.

Sol lifted her chin with her pointer finger. “Hey, it’s okay Ji-wan. I was shocked yes, but I’m not uncomfortable. It’s just work, we’re good” Sol assured her but it doesn’t sit right with Ji-wan

She averted her gazed and nodded.

“Yeah it’s just work”

The last straw for Sol to finally come in terms with her feelings came after 2 months that their series have ended and they continued to hang out together.

It was one rainy evening and they still have this scheduled movie night in Ji-wan’s apartment.

They were cleaning up after their dinner. Sol was washing the dishes, while Ji-wan was putting out all of their left over food in the food container.

“The rain is pouring real hard. I think it’ll be better if you just stay for tonight” Ji-wan suggested and Sol stopped rinsing the bowl that she’s holding

“Uhmm it’s okay. I don’t want to be a bother. I can call a designated driver or my manager to pick me up. I don’t want to impose but you might want to have some alone time during your free day”

She then suddenly felt two arms wrapping around her from the back. Ji-wan rest her chin on Sol’s shoulder. The younger girl’s lips was dangerously close to Sol’s ear and she can feel the hot breath coming out from the other.

“You are never a bother Yoon Sol. In fact you’re such a really nice company. I am so comfortable with you to the point that I don’t mind being with you all day . That it’s okay for me to spend my entire free day with you because I enjoyed it. I enjoy every moment with you, Sol”

Sol’s mind just short circuited. This is like a regular happening now. Her having to malfunction every single time Ji-wan says something unexpected and that makes Sol’s heart shoot to the roof.

Sol finished the task at hand and slowly turned to Ji-wan. The younger girl didn’t release her grip from the taller girl’s waist, instead she pulls her closer.

There’s a sparkle in Ji-wan’s eyes that Sol cannot comprehend on what it means. She’s searching the other girl’s eyes but she’s not speaking up. It’s like Ji-wan’s eyes has a lot of things to say and its making Sol go crazy.
She feels like hyperventilating. She hopes that Ji-wan doesn’t hear the way her heart is pounding inside her chest in the close proximity that they’re in right now.

She had a lot of questions in her mind right now. Why was Ji-wan looking at her like this? Why is she being extra clingy and bold like this? Why is her heart pounding like that? Hell, why is there even butterflies—no an entire zoo inside of her.

Sol exactly knows what’s the answer to all of her own questions. These are the tell-tale signs of being in love. She an actress first and foremost. She’s supposed to know this feelings because it was usually carefully written and detailed in her script and she needs to show this emotion in front of the camera. This is exactly how Sol’s character in the drama supposed to feel when she was finally acknowledging her feelings for her best friend.

She’s doomed. That’s for sure. Sol doesn’t see this coming. Falling in love for her co-star and closest friend was something that she didn’t expect. But here she is, wrapped around Ji-wan’s arms, basking on the younger girl’s captivating eyes and wanting to lean in closer because Ji-wan’s plump lips are so inviting and hypnotizing.

A few moments passed, and they’re still in that position. Until Ji-wan gave up pulled Sol towards her and hugged her tightly—burying herself in Sol’s neck and inhaling her scent.

Sol ended up giving in to Ji-wan’s request. She knows she a goner when the younger girl tries to use the combined power of her pout and her puppy eyes.

They’re now laying on their sides, facing each other. Ji-wan continues to stare at Sol with so much adoration and Sol continues to have some inner battle with herself.

“Sol-ah” Ji-wan called

“Hmm..” Sol looked at her and trying to be as present as possible

“Did anyone ever tell you how beautiful you are?”

“Not much I think?”

Ji-wan raised her pointer finger towards Sol’s face. She almost got crossed eyed because it landed near the side of her eyes

“Sol, I know you won’t believe me, but I think you’re like the most beautiful person in the world. You have a very expressive and captivating eyes.” Ji-wan started to move her pointer finger. Leaving feather-like touches on Sol’s face, making the taller girl shiver

“ The shape of your eyebrows, nose and jawline are crafted into perfection that it makes it your strongest assets” Ji-wan spend a good 5 seconds for each part until it headed towards her lips

“And your lips..” Ji-wan’s eyes dropped into her lips and maybe her mind was playing tricks on her when she saw younger girl gulped

“It looks so soft and inviting.. “her finger is now tracing the outline of Sol’s slightly agape lips

Sol was trying her best to control her breathing. Ji-wan had no idea how her touches are affecting the taller girl right now. She’s getting dizzier and overwhelmed every second; Sol knows what will happen next. She don’t want to assume anything, but the looks that Ji-wan was giving is a dead giveaway. They’re not in the drama anymore. There’s no director or writer that will shout the word ‘Cut’. This is real life. She knows something that they might regret later will happen if she doesn’t move now and so she did the next best thing to do—she pulled Ji-wan towards her into a tight hug. The younger girl, once again buried in the crook of Sol’s neck. She tried to release herself from the taller girl’s grip but Sol is strong enough to keep her in place.

“Sleep now, Seo Ji-wan” Sol said, still a little bit breathless.

She heard a low groan from the younger girl—a sign of resignation. Ji-wan stopped moving and put her arms around Sol and pulled her closer.

Few minutes later, Ji-wan’s breath even out and Sol can finally breathe properly.

Ever since that day, something have shifted between them. It’s like there’s some unspoken rule or agreement that they were exclusive for each other. Neither of them are seeing anyone at the moment nor have the intention to find someone anytime soon .

Sol is relieved somehow. At least she have nothing to be worried about, for now. But she is sure that she needs to do something soon or else she might’ve lose Ji-wan.

She now acknowledge the fullness of her feelings for her co-actor and she’s not afraid to show it to the younger girl. Sol doesn’t want to presume but she’s at least 50% sure that her feelings might be reciprocated. With the way they’re both acting towards each other, she can feel it.

Ji-wan also likes her.

But being in love and being an actress at the same time is so hard. After the drama they’ve been into, both of them quite gain a following. Fans from all over the world are starting to cheer for them. They’ve received a massive amount of support from the LGBTQ+ community because of their raw and beautiful representation. Both actress are so overwhelmed and really grateful and they promised to work hard even more to become a better actress and to represent more people.

And so they did. Countless of offers—movies, series, CFs landed in their laps. Their agencies are very pleased and took every opportunities for both actress to gain the recognition that they deserve

Their schedules now are pretty tight, shoots and interview here and there. Since they’re both working on another projects, it was becoming difficult for them to see each other. They oftentimes cancel their movie nights because of late night tapings or early call ins.

But despite the busy schedule, Sol never forgot to remind Ji-wan to take care of herself. It’s like clockwork. She couldn’t stop thinking about the other girl even though they’re apart. Ji-wan, on her part, always assures the taller girl that she has nothing to worry about. She’s always showing selcas of her eating properly and dressing warmly.

They fall into this routine of constantly updating each other every now and then. They knew each other’s schedule and most of the time, if Sol got off work early she’s making it an effort to go and pick Ji-wan up from her shooting location.

And whenever they do find a breathing time to be together, both women will make sure to make the most out of it. During those times, it has become a habit that Ji-wan will either cling into Sol’s arms or intertwining their hands. The younger girl feels so incomplete or like a lost puppy when she was not holding Sol whenever the taller girl is around. And it’s not like Sol is not benefiting from these interaction as well, but in her defense she just knew that she could never ever deprive Ji-wan of the things that will make the other girl smile

Their ‘bond’ progresses even more after several months. By this time, anyone who will see them will definitely think that they are in a relationship. But despite of being together most of the time, they managed to not talked about or not touch the topic regarding the status of their relationship.

Neither of them are brave enough yet to lay their cards on the table. They’re just going with the flow and taking their time to be truly sure of their feelings.

Not until Ji-wan’s birthday came.

Ji-wan was overwhelmed by the way Sol surprised her after a very tiring day from work. She almost forgot that it is her birthday despite the countless greetings and well wishes from her fans and co-workers

Sol texted her that night that she should stop by the playground near her apartment. Albeit confused, Ji-wan didn’t dare to ask Sol what this is about because she’s too damn tired to process anything more.

When her chauffeur stopped at the playground she peeked from the window first to find where Sol is. The whole playground was dark and she thought that it’s very unusual. The playground never ever turn its light off.

She got off the car and was about to call the taller girl when Sol beats her to it and her caller ID appeared on Ji-wan’s phone

“Yoon Sol! Where are you?” she asked as she walked towards the swing set. She didn’t hear any response but she heard Sol chuckled and as if on cue, the whole playground was lit and it was so bright that Ji-wan thought she’ll get blind

After adjusting to the lighting, she found Sol standing in between the swing set, holding a bouquet of flowers while there are two giant gummy sculpture sitting on each swing holding a placard that says ‘Happy Birthday’

Ji-wan’s hands were both on her mouth. Trying to cover up the shocked expression from her face but failed.

She run towards Sol and attacked her with a really tight hug. Thank goodness to Sol fast reflexes, she was quick to remove the bouquet that she personally arranged, between them.

Sol melted into the embrace. She didn’t need to hear Ji-wan’s voice to know that she did quiet a successful job on surprising the younger girl.

“Happy birthday, Seo Ji-wan” Sol whispered and planted a kiss on Ji-wan’s temple

Ji-wan took the flowers from Sol and she can’t help but be amazed at the arrangement. “I was waiting for you to greet me the whole day! A simple greeting will suffice Yoon Sol. You don’t have to do all this” Ji-wan roamed her eyes around the playground. There are fairy lights everywhere and gummy bear banners

“Seo Ji-wan, there’s no way I wouldn’t do this. You deserve to have a special celebration.”

Ji-wan smiled shyly and with all the lights surrounding them, there’s no way she can also hide the blush creeping on her cheeks.

“Thank you so much Yoon Sol. You don’t know how much this means to me” Ji-wan said sincerely and reached for Sol’s hand.

“I’m glad that you like it. I was nervous that you might not like it or that it’ll be too much”

“Everything is perfect Sol-ah. You are perfect” Ji-wan said sincerely and it’s Sol’s turn to blush. They stood there for a moment, until Sol remembered something.

“Uhm I still have something to give you.” Sol pulled out a small box from her jacket and opened it for Ji-wan

The younger girl gasped. For Ji-wan, the playground arrangement and bouquet are just enough surprise for her, but it seems like Sol has another thing on her sleeve.

Sol revealed to her a sunflower necklace.

“Sol, this is so beautiful. How’d you know that they’re my favorite?”

“From your apartment I guess? There are a hint of sunflowers everywhere in your home.”

“Oh, right. You know why I like them though? It is because Sunflowers usually brings good fortune and long life” Ji-wan exclaimed while tracing the sunflower pendant

“That’s true. And it can also mean adoration and loyalty”

Ji-wan nodded in agreement.

“Can you help me wear it?” Ji-wan asked and Sol nodded. She pulled out the necklace from the box while Ji-wan turned around. The slight touches and brush of skin made both women feel an unexplainable electricity between them.

“All done” Sol cleared her throat

The younger girl was appreciating the necklace when Sol called her out again

“Ji-wan, I need to tell you something..” the seriousness in Sol’s voice made Ji-wan look up

“I like you. Not as a friend” Sol finally said

Ji-wan looked confused. She thinks she heard this line before

“Yah Yoon Sol. Are you quoting your own lines in the drama?” the younger girl chuckled as she remember that this is how Luna confessed to Nari

“Yes. But I’m not saying it as Luna. I’m saying it for real—as Yoon Sol” Ji-wan stopped her little giggles and finally looked into the taller girl’s eyes

Yoon Sol is dead serious

“I know it’s hard to believe but it’s true. I’ve come to realize that I’ve fallen for you. “

Sol’s heart was pounding really hard. She was really nervous about doing this. No matter how much she tried to practice, still, she’s at loss for words. It seems like every word that comes out from her own lips is either like one step closer to digging her own grave or shooting herself up in heaven.

Ji-wan is just standing there, blinking, seems like she’s processing everything.

“I’m not pressuring you into things. I just wanted be honest with you and freed my emotions because every day I feel like I’m about to explode from all of these feelings.” Sol admitted

“Sol..” Ji-wan called her gently. Sol isn’t sure if it is a good thing or not

“Let’s just take everything slowly okay? I’m not saying I don’t like you too because I’d be the biggest hypocrite if I do. I care for you a lot—more than I care for all of my friends combined. You are also special to me, but I still need some time. Everything that is happening in our lives are so fast and it’s overwhelming. All I’m saying is that, I’m not sure if I’m ready for some thing more” Ji-wan explained and now it’s Sol turn to be confused on what to feel

Ji-wan once again held both of Sol’s hand and like magic—all of Sol’s worries are gone again.

“When everything is settled and if you still want and waiting for me by then, maybe we can talk about it again?”

“I’m more than willing to wait, Seo Ji-wan. No matter how long it takes.” Sol said, full of conviction.

Sol knows to herself that she is not a master of emotions, but she rarely gets to feel this kind of strong connection and feelings. That’s why she was sure that what she feels for Ji-wan is something that won’t get wavered easily and she is sure that she’ll be able to keep that promise of waiting until the younger girl is ready to accept her feelings

Notes:

I just missed Sol and Ji-wan so bad that's why I made this. I don't know if there are still some people who will read this, but if there is, I hope you give it some love. Please let know what you think about this. Next chapter will be up soon. Thanks
