Work Text:
Tommy and Felicity were already sitting at their usual table for their weekly brunch, sipping the first mimosas. After Tommy and Felicity got together, Tommy insisted that Felicity joins the regular meetups with Oliver, who was the one to introduce Felicity to him in the first place.
"So, has Oliver ever been on time for anything?" Felicity might have not known Oliver long yet, but she quickly realised two things. One, Oliver Queen was never on time for anything. Two, he was still exactly the playboy the tabloids portrayed him to be before the island.
"Not as far as I am aware." Tommy replies with an easy shrug. Tommy was much more willing to share background info about Oliver than Oliver himself.
"I'm here now." Oliver seems relatively chipper as he drops into a chair next to Tommy.
Tommy eyes him up and down, taking in the hair that definitely hasn’t seen a brush this morning and the jumper that is wrinkled as if it had spent the night bunched up somewhere.
"Wow you look ruffled, out of whose bed did you roll? Blond or brunette?" Oliver used to be into tall brunettes, but since the island Tommy couldn’t pin down a type.
"Just some guy. Not a clue about his name. Was actually a redhead."
"Wait, what?" Felicity looks at Oliver with wide eyes. Oliver shifts back and forth in his seat.
Oliver isn’t uncomfortable per se. It’s not a secret, really. But somehow people are always surprised when it comes up.
Before either Felicity or Oliver can say anything else, Tommy throws his arm around Oliver and replies.
"A hunk this sexy can't deny half the population, now can he?"
"Tommy…" Oliver's voice clearly carries the exasperation he feels.
"So you are.." Felicity still seems to try to wrap her mind around what she read over the years in the tabloids in contrast to what she just learnt.
"Bisexual. Yea, he is." Tommy is absentmindedly patting Oliver’s chest, who just shoves Tommy’s hand away good-naturedly.
"How does no one know this?" Felicity remembers all the speculations about Oliver’s next conquest at QC and all the models photographed beside him in the tabloids. It was always about women. No one ever mentioned any men.
Oliver just shrugs, but Tommy is happy to elaborate.
"People see what they want to see. This one guy went to the press once, turns out the press didn't believe him and wrote an article about a delusional guy who wishes Oliver Queen was gay. Because Oliver is clearly too much of a womanizer to ever sleep with a guy. Pretty petty and narrow-minded if you ask me, but ever since then it has never come up again."
A moment later, the waiter takes Oliver’s order. By the end, the guy is blushing and Oliver is throwing him one of his flirtatious grins and Felicity wonders how she never realised it before.
