Work Text:
Hey Gin,
When you open this letter, I’m at my cousin’s house in the country.
I know, I know. ‘Why didn’t you tell me, Tachihara! Imma miss you so much blah blah blah.’ haha. They told me they were sending me off literally the night before!! Took my phone, too! Said I was supposed to use this time to “reflect.” I can reflect in the mirror!! At the beach! (Good thing I remembered your address, huh, or where else would you be without your best friend 😪).
Anyways, on the mysterious cousin. He’s a pretty okay guy -- quiet and contemplative. I’ve never seen him at family gatherings, but my parents say he was busy overseas and now he’s back farming over potatoes and stuff like that. His name’s Suehiro Tecchou, so if anything sus happens to me, make sure you get him.
He ended up picking me up an hour late… said something about fending off a cat lurking in his crops. But imma be honest with you, everything that happened between that night and when I got in the truck (green) went over my head.
I had to wake up from the g-force entering through the windows. No wonder his hair is so tussled, you would wonder if him and the cat got into a FIGHT. Never have I ever experienced such reckless driving. My heart wasn’t racing this fast when you stole your brother’s convertible and slammed it into the old lady’s mailbox. (No, I will NOT forget that). I think we flew past a red light once or twice. You shoulda seen these little kids' faces when we speeded past them. I think you would like it.
The house isn’t big, but it’s cozy. I got a room with a nice view, but in the morning the sun shines through like a MOTHERFUCKER. It’s a good thing I wake up early to beat that thing, so it’s not too bad. (Unlike SOME people, GIN). My main work around here will be to cook (edible food), pick some stuff when it’s ripe, and Tecchou-nii-san says we’ll go to the farmer’s market on the weekends to sell some stuff.
Also. He has a sword collection??
Better not forget me,
Tachihara
