CONNOR
C: „Hey are you coming to the party? We’re all waiting for you”
A: „Sorry can’t make it got stuck in surgery”
Ava answered Connor while crying on the bathroom floor. She shouldn’t have gone to his father. She took off her clothes and went in the shower. But no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t wash his touch off. She could still feel his hands on her body. She didn’t really sleep that night. She just laid in bed with her eyes open. Trying not to think about what happened. She failed. But she was the one that asked him to dinner right? She never meant for it to get further but maybe that’s what he understood? Maybe she deserved this?
The next morning she got ready and put a smile on her face. No one can know. Especially not Connor.
She got into work and said hello to everyone.
“Mrs Goodwin wanted you in her office” Said Maggie. Ava just smiled and nodded.
“Doctor Rhodes and doctor Bekker. We wanted to tell you that we received a donation to the Hybrid OR and the Board had already decided to cover the rest. But there is one condition and it’s that you stay and take over it doctor Rhodes”
Ava looked at him. Please stay. Please stay. Please don’t let this be for nothing.
He stayed. So it was worth it right? She got what she wanted. Sometimes you just have to sacrifice something to get it.
But she still picked up a razor when she got home. Maybe it was worth it but it still gives her nightmares. Just thinking about it makes her wanna throw up. She made a line on her thigh. And another one. Then on her stomach. It felt good. At least it didn’t hurt that much inside. Cause maybe he stayed but he still won’t see her that way. The way she wants him to see her. She washed off the blood and went to bed.
