On a sunny Thursday, a man with slanted eyes is drinking his coffee deliciously while reading the news on his iPad. His focus was suddenly split when someone approached him who he realized was the waiter who delivered his coffee 35 minutes ago. The slanted man looked at the waiter without asking. This waiter put a piece of paper on the slanted man's table and went straight back to his kitchen to make coffee. On the paper it was written in small but still clear enough to read, “Hi! Can you please stay here a little longer? The stranger guy behind you has come here for 3 days straight and is always watching over me. I'm scared. :(”.
After reading the letter, he immediately moved next to the waiter 's table and greeted him.
"Hi." He greeted the waiter.
"Hi." The waiter replied smiling.
"Are you okay?" asked the slanted man in a low voice.
"Yeah." He answered kindly .
"Ah yeah, I’m Off. Nice to meet you."
"I’m Gun. Nice to meet you, too."
"May I ask you something?" Off asked.
"Sure." Gun answer.
“Why are you handling this alone? I mean, why don't you report it to your boss. He's been following you for 3 days straight, hasn't he? He is a stalker and it’s very dangerous." He asked with many questions.
The waiter just chuckled at Off's questions.
“At first I thought he was just a regular customer who came to this shop every day. Because it's very common here. The same few people come almost every day just to drink coffee and do other things like read a book or meet someone. But my friend said that that guy was always watching me.
When I didn't pay attention to him, he kept staring at me. Not only that, based on what my friend said, he was also waiting to be chased away by the other waiter when the shop was about to close, How scary ugh.” The answer is no less long than Off’s questions.
"But you're still going to report to your boss, right?" Ask Off again.
"Yes! Absolutely. Maybe tomorrow. Because he was on business out of town. "Gun replied.
"Thank God. I'll wait here until that guy comes home."
"Thank you." Gun smiled.
"Don't look at him but he's looking at me now." Gun said without looking at the stranger.
"How do you know when you don't see it either?" Off asked quietly.
"It was obvious he was looking at me."
“Do you want me to go to him and ask him to stop bothering you?” Off asked permission.
"NO NO PLEASE DON’T DO THAT!" Gun screeched slightly. “Uhm… We have to play it safe, ok? I can handle it myself.” Gun's voice dropped again.
Off just nodded in response to Gun's statement.
Off and Gun return to their routines. Off, who was supposed to be home from 1 hour ago, had to wait until the coffee shop was completely closed and make sure the guy went home without following Gun. The only people there were Gun, Off and that guy. He continued to stare at Off and Gun who talk like old friends.
"I'm sorry, Off. You have to wait here bored just because I asked you to.” Gun sounds sorry.
"Hey! Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong. I’ll continue to wait here until that person leaves.” Off replied.
Off's answer made Gun very relieved. Gun was sure that this man was a very kind man. And Gun doesn't regret asking Off for help. He is the right man.
Gun's wish is for the stranger to come home soon so Gun doesn't have to bother going to his table to tell him to go home because the coffee shop is closing soon. But that hope was dashed because the person remained at his table and seemed to expect Gun's approach.
"Wish me luck." Gun whisper to Off.
"Eh? Where are you going?" Off asked worried.
"I'll go to his table and tell him to come home."
Gun walks through Off quietly. His face showed no fear at all. But one thing is, Gun is actually very scared and worried about this situation.
While Off watched from his place. Gun talks to the stranger and tells him to go home. However, instead of going straight home, he smiled happily and touched Gun's hand. Of course Gun is not comfortable with the treatment by that guy. Gun slowly and calmly removed his hand. Gun tries to send him home one more time with the friendliness he still has. But the guy treatment was out of bounds. The man grabbed Gun's waist and tried to pull him closer to him.
"Maybe I can have your number?" the man asked in a whisper to Gun.
"Excuse me, sir." Gun tried to free himself but the stranger tightened his grip.
Off who saw that, immediately stood up and went over to the two of them. Off spontaneously embraced Gun and pulled him away from the man.
"I'm sorry, sir. But is it polite to touch another person without his consent?" Off asked annoyed.
"Who are you?!" The man was annoyed.
"I'm his boyfriend." Off answer.
Gun is surprised to hear Off's answer. But he tries to help Off's scenario by hugging Off's waist.
"You think I'd just believe it?"
"Are you blind or what? I spent 2 hours of my time sitting there with him. To keep him company. Because you've been impolite to my boyfriend who kept watching him for 3 days straight. This shop has CCTV that shows your suspicious movements so it can be punished."
The man's face instantly turned pale. He immediately stood up and glared angrily at Off and Gun.
"Please get out of here." Off gives a signal to exit.
The man left the shop in a hurry. Gun, who saw the man had left, looked very relieved and reflexively hugged Off's body.
"Thank you. Thank you sooo much." Gun's voice trembled .
"Hey hey. It's ok. Now you’re safe with me. It's okay. Everything’s fine."
Off hugged Gun back and stroked his head and shoulders. That night, Gun goes home with Off. Off took Gun with him in his car and gave him his number just in case tomorrow or someday, that bastard comes back to annoy Gun.
"Thank you so much, again, Off. Sorry to bother you."
“Gun, I told you you didn't bother me at all. It's right that you ask for help. From now on, you’re not allowed to say the s word.”
Both of them chuckled.
"Actually, I'm also sorry for embracing and claiming to be your boyfriend. Because that's the only thing that's possible to save you." Off said a little regretful.
"And it worked tho." Gun smiled.
"You're not angry?" Off asked.
"Of course not. It's fine, Off." Gun replied. "As a thank you, how about tomorrow or whenever you come back to the coffee shop, I’ll buy you coffee? You want it?" Gun continued.
A very wide smile appeared on Off's lips.
"That sounds great." His answer enthusiastic.
"Okay then, thanks for driving me home."
Gun unbuckled his seat belt and opened the door. But when he was about to leave, Off called him.
"Gun?" Off calling Gun.
"Yes?" Gun returned to his position.
"How about...... ahem,” Off clears his throat. “How about movie Friday? If you want? Hehe." Asked Off finally. But nervously.
Gun smiled softly at Off's invitation.
"May I kiss you?" Gun asked without answer his question.
"W-what?" Off confused.
"I asked permission first." Gun said calmly.
"O.... Okay." Answer Off nervous
Gun approached and kissed Off's left cheek. Off froze a few seconds after getting a kiss on the cheek from Gun.
"Movie Friday. After work." Gun answer.
"So it’s a date then?" Reply Off happy.
"Yeah. It’s a date."
Gun and Off smiled.
"Good night, Off. See ya!" Gun said goodbye to Off and got out of his car.
Off is still digesting everything that Gun has given him. Kiss. Date. Off is so happy until he realizes that Gun is waiting outside the car.
"Night, Gun." Off replied in a whisper.
Gun waved at Off who was going back to his house. Off and Gun go home happy with each other. A movie date and kiss from Gun. Even though a lot of bad things have happened to Gun before, what Off has done for him is well worth it.
After that day, Off and Gun became very close to each other. Take care of each other. Off always visits Gun to the coffee shop just to drink coffee or take him home and Gun always treats Off to coffee every Thursday, the day when two of them meet as strangers and because of strangers.
