Until she unknowingly created a time rift that caused an unfortunate accident for her and her friends.

Chapter 1: How did this happen?

Chapter Text

Caramel Spade was just as reckless as her father, it's something she heard from everyone, from family to strangers. However, this never deters her from being an ambitious girl simply enjoying her high school life. She was good at school, though she'll cause problems occasionally, had good grades and her magic was one of the best of the First Years, nothing she could do was on purpose.

Even this.

The day was an All School Day, where most schools come together to test students' abilities to cooperate, even from different schools. It was one of the many days that Caramel was excited about, as she was meeting up with a few of her friends she couldn't see regularly because they went to different schools. As soon she was free to leave, Caramel searched for friends, and she immediately hugged Jasmine Al-Asim and her friend(bodyguard) Zagreus Viper.

"I missed you!" Caramel cheered. "I missed you so much!"

Jasmine giggles. "I can tell! And look at you, you've grown so much."

"Indeed, she has," Zagreus agreed, "She even grown a few feet."

Jasmine Al-Asim is the current princess of her land, which wasn't a surprise when you found out who her father is. She was seen as a ray of sunshine, and always helped others in need. It's rare when she ever gets upset, but when she does, she might have a good reason, to insult her friends and family with cruel actions. She can never do a bad deed, which is why Caramel views her as an older sister. It's something they have.

Zagreus Viper, however, was the opposite of Jasmine. They are stern, stoic, and can hardly crack a smile. But Jasmine was happy to have them around, for many reasons. Zagreus was a major part of Jasmine's childhood; it wasn't surprising when they vowed to protect Jasmine when she was born and their being together made them closer, becoming best friends, which Zagreus likes to brag about secretly. They are always seen by Jasmine's side, whenever in school or in their dorms, Zag never leaves Jasmine's side. Not that Jasmine minds.

Caramel pouted at Zag. "Hey, I'm not that short. You are just tall."

"Don't worry about them. They're teasing like usual." Jasmine laughs, petting her head.

Caramel began looking around, and her sight found a set of twins, one was holding the arm of another. She immediately waves them over.

"Hey, Myrtle! Hey Asami!"

Asami and Myrtle Leech were an odd pair, despite being twins. Asami was prim and proper, her hair and clothes are neat. She was top of her classes and acceptingly great at keeping her twin at bay whenever they were in the room. To Caramel, she was an exact copy of her uncle Riddle, even to her face getting red whenever she was at her limit. It was a scary part of Asami that was shown often by her rules. Caramel was often surprised that she and Myrtle were related. Myrtle was the exact opposite, her hair and clothes were normally disheveled and a mess, and she normally never paid attention to the area around her. If you think Asami can get angry easily, it's fair to say that you haven't seen Myrtle in her rage, which is why she was feared around the school unintentionally. She's also having fun teasing her twin just for her entertainment.

"Heyy~, it's Little Crabby!" Myrtle says, walking over to them, forgetting that Asami was still griping her arm hard.

"I know that Myrtle, but we still need to talk."

"Huh? What about?" Myrtle whines. "I didn't do anything..."

Asami sighs and lets her go.

"You've grown, Little Crabby," Myrtle said, resting her arm on Caramel's head. "Not as much but who cares,"

"I do, and can you please move your arm?" Caramel grunted.

"Why?"

"Because my head's started to hurt." Caramel said, walking away from her arm.

Myrtle laughs as Caramel rubs her forehead in pain. "You are adorable, Little Crabby."

"Glad to find you guys here." Called out another voice. This one belonged to Johnnie Clover, accompanied by Seashell and Lilac, his little sisters.

"Oh, hey Johnnie." Caramel Greeted.

"What's happening here?" Seashell asked, holding Lilac's hand.

"Just Myrtle being Myrtle," Zagreus answered, watching Myrtle lean against Jasmine, who doesn't mind.

"Please let me go!" Lilac whines, pulling against Seashell's grip. "I won't cause trouble!"

"You fought a boy because he insulted Johnnie. He's older than you." Seashell sighs.

"Well, he should've kept his mouth shut!"

Caramel saw the difficulties of siblings whenever she spends time together with the Clover Siblings. Johnnie was the perfect older brother, one who can keep his siblings at bay, which could work in his favor, but that depends on the day or hour. Despite that, Johnnie was calmer even when Lilac's childish antics could be too much, finding solutions to problems that she may have caused. Though, he does carry factors of his father was seen, especially with his smile. He was a big brother to others and

Seashell, being the middle child, is calmer. Though she isn't exactly like her older brother, she doesn't keep calm when Lilac is in trouble. She's normally the one who must watch Lilac as she is strong enough to hold her. Seashell was only 12 years old but was amazingly mature for her age, resembling her dad's mature nature, which made her a younger copy. Caramel always knew that Seashell never had a problem with her, though it may seem like it.

And then there was Lilac, the youngest. Lilac, despite the young girl facade, was an actual child menace to Black Swan Elementary. She will cause a problem if someone else causes one, like an insult to her or her family, and get in trouble with teachers afterward. Caramel wondered how her parents deal with her every day, and not a single gray hair on their heads. She concluded that the reason was because of their experiences as vice housewardens in the past. And so, they were prepared for a crazy child.

"He may be mean," Johnnie says, "but it won't affect me in the long run."

"But he was mean to you," Seashell says, "I do have to agree with Lilac."

"I know and I appreciate it."

They started to walk around, watching everyone talk and joke with friends and family. Especially two siblings.

Caramel remembered them. Their names were Shun and Lydia Kingscholar.

Lydia giggles as her brother keeps holding her like she was a baby, it is something she finds comforting.

"I'm fine, Shun," Lydia reassured. "No one gave me trouble, I promise you."

"Doesn't matter," Shun said, still holding her.

Caramel doesn't know much about the Kingscholar siblings, other than they are the children of Prince Leona Kingscholar. Jasmine has told Caramel some stuff she can recall, like Shun is very fierce and overprotective of Lydia, his younger sister, and can often be a drama king if something happens. Caramel couldn't imagine that just by looking at his strong appearance, along with his lion features. Shun, according to Jasmine, is now Housewarden of Savanaclaw and he lives up to his father's legacy. The current headmage says that Shun was the exact opposite of his father, which Shun finds hilarious. Lydia was the opposite of her brother; she normally keeps to herself but she's surprisingly intelligent, so it surprises her teachers. That's because she can be seen sleeping in her classes but always remembers her lessons and succeeded in her work. One of the many people most girls fawn over was her looks, her long blonde hair, and beautiful green eyes. She was one of the most stared girls at Stunning Narcissus University, due to her beauty. Jasmine says that it was a little odd that Lydia doesn't like it when people call her beautiful.

"Hey," Jasmine greeted, "How are you two?"

"Pretty alright, Shun just really misses me that's all."

Shun blushes at Lydia's comment and huffs a little. "You are my baby sister, it's natural for me to snuggle you."

Caramel chuckles.

"They've been like this for a couple of minutes already." Sighs Franklyn Wolf, one of Caramel's childhood friends.

Caramel was already on her way to hug him until he immediately picked her up into a tight hug.

"I missed you!" Caramel cheered, hugging him.

"I did too."

Franklyn was a great friend of Caramel. They would play and get so muddy at the parks, and they laugh about it.

Franklyn was a county boy, so he never minded getting messy and finding bugs all around the place. He worked at the apple farm with his family back at Harveston, a cold place that Caramel never wanted to go to again. Though he may seem reckless, he's the one who's more cautious of things, like monsters and spiders which he fears, to the point of nightmares. Franklyn says that he had a traumatic incident, to him at least. Shun noted that his father scared him to the point of banishment from Franklyn's father.

But those never mattered to Caramel, she just loves her friend.

"My, I can see that Shun has finally arrived." Blossom Draconia calmly spoke.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Draconia."

"Oh please, Shun, no need for formalities. It's Blossom."

Shun smiles. "Of course, Blossom. However, how was I supposed to address the dragon princess herself?"

Blossom heartedly laughs. "Just like every human being, you come across."

Not much is known about Blossom, only that she was the daughter of Malleus Draconia, one of the most powerful faes of all time. Though from what Caramel has seen, she is very friendly and doesn't want to be treated like a trophy.

"You guys are alright, hmm?" Blossom asked, looking at the others.

"Pretty great, we've been talking and having fun!" Jasmine answers. "Everyone's nice and friendly."

"No one was rude, " Zag added.

"That's great. Many people are getting ready for magic lessons soon, we should get going." Blossom says, looking at the teachers gathering around.

"Oh, yeah! We're teaching the children some spells."

They walked over to the huge park area, watching an older sister help her little brother with his uniform.

"That's better," She says, "all buttons fixed."

"Hehe, thanks Big Sister!" He cheers, fixing his hat.

Caramel waves them over, smiling. "Kyoko!"

Kyoko looks over and smiles. "Hello, Caramel."

Kyoko Ashengrotto was Caramel's upperclassman and one that personally looks after her when Caramel first got admitted. She was smart and witty, though at first, she had to talk through a tablet because she was extremely nervous talking to new people. She is always happy to help her whenever Caramel needed guidance. In science, she turns out to be a massive tech wiz and loves using unusual slang whenever she gets overly excited.

Harris was Kyoko's younger brother, and like a child, he is very giddy and active. Like his sister, he's a massive tech wiz and very smart for a 12-year-old boy. Caramel only met him once and figured out a few things: he was very protective of Kyoko and would hurt those who'd insult her, even if it was a joke. He even punched one when he visited.

"Hi, Caramel." Harris greeted, hugging Caramel. "Kyoko was taking me to meet the teachers but my uniform was a little messy."

"Come on, the teachers are waiting for us."

Everyone walked over to the teachers and sat down. Each student will work with other students of their choice, and they will be watching so don't try anything dangerous.

Caramel, along with the others she met, went over to a remote area, and looked around.

"Are you ready for some tricks?" Caramel cheered.

"Don't get too excited, Caramel," warned Shun. "Magic isn't a plaything, and it shouldn't be used recklessly."

"Indeed, you are still young," Blossom agreed, "You are still inexperienced. We don't know what would happen if you do something like this."

"I know," Caramel boasted, "This is just beginner magic, nothing more, nothing less. How about this?"

With a wave of her magic pen, she slowly formed a hat.

"This is morpho magic," Shun chuckles, getting up. "That's low beginner magic. You should let me try one."

Caramel looks over. "Is that a challenge?"

"I have to show my underclassmen how it's done."

"You are on."

"I'm not sure that this is a good idea." Lydia chimed in. "Magic battles can get pretty out of hand if things go wrong. Let's be very careful."

"Of course, I just don't think she can win." Shun mocks, walking over to Caramel. "No hard feelings attached."

"Now I know this is a bad idea," Johnnie says.

Caramel and Shun fought, magic going everywhere, almost hitting those who walk by and the others who are watching.

"Stop this instant!" Asami ordered, grabbing her pen. "If the teachers find us like this, we will all get in trouble because of your nonsense!!"

Caramel laughs. "You are such a worry wart, Asami! Nothing bad has happened yet."

Caramel laughs as she sends another beam of magic, and it began to swirl all around her and everyone else.

"Caramel!? What did you do?!" Gasped Zag, looking around.

An answer was barely heard as magic began to surround everyone and the forest was no longer seen.
---
Once she opened her eyes, Caramel found herself on the ground, a brick ground and soft grass. She began to look around as her head began to pound.

"Where...where am I?" She mumbled.

Johnnie and Asami groaned beside her, getting up to look around the scenery.

"Isn't this Heartslabuyal?" Johnnie asked. "Maybe it was just a mere transportation spell?"

"First years don't learn that, especially at the beginning of the year..." Asami groaned.

"That's new," Caramel mumbles, looking down. "I never exactly been here before," She walks to a rose bush. "I only saw photos that my dads show me, along with the horror stories."

"With you fearing my father for 3 years?" Asami added, looking at the roses.

"Yeah, that..."

"ACE!" A voice hollered in the distance. "PUT THOSE DOWN!"

"I wasn't eating them, Housewarden!"

"Those are for the unbirthday party!" A new voice said.

"Dad?" Caramel gasped. "Why are they here?"

"Why is Father yelling?"

"An Unbirthday party?"

The group immediately went silent. They all looked at the garden.

Following the noise, they saw a boy, whose face was red as a rose, yelling at two other boys, who were holding plates of desserts. An older boy was calming the angry red, saying that the tarts are barely eaten.

"Is that..."

"Uncle Riddle-?!" Caramel shrieked, with Johnnie covering her mouth and hiding in the brushes before anyone noticed.

"Caramel, do you realize what you have done?" Asami hissed. "You figured out time travel magic, a very forbidden magic."

"That means..."

"We are in the past..."
