“what’re ya now, Teddy?”
Bonnie yawned as they sat a small plate and a mug down on the desk and pulled up a chair beside Freddy. It was late, nearly 5 am, super early breakfast time.
“Twelve hours to go still”
Freddy glanced down at Bonnie and he looked just so exhausted, Bonnie frowned and brought his hands up; gently cupping the bears face and rubbing his thumbs in circles beneath his eyes.
“…you can’t take just one little break?”
“I do take breaks, to go to the bathroom!”
That dorky grin spreading across Freddy’s face had Bonnie’s nose twitching and he laughed softly. “Teddy y’know that’s not what I meant!” Freddy grinned and leaned his head against the bunny’s , humming softly as his pc chimed with hundreds of chat messages. All greeting Bonnie with emojis and lots of exclamation marks.
“They always get so chatty when you come to visit”
Bonnie glanced, read a few of the messages and waves to the camera perched above Freddy’s console.
“I usually have that affect in people”
Soft melodic laughter sounded from the bear and made Bonnie’s ears twist and his face get warm.
“mm did you do a mask today, Bon?”
“Why? Do I look prettier?”
“oh you’re glowing, love. But it’s because I can smell the eucalyptus. Smells nice, wanna chew on your cheeks” Freddy growled playfully, taking his eyes off his game to gently nibble Bonnie’s rosy cheeks.
Bonnie whined and wound his arms around the bears neck “love you, my big sappy teddy bear” he hummed, smiling when Freddy’s nibbling turned into soft kisses that peppered from his cheeks down his neck.
“oh Bon! Do ya wanna try?”
“try…?”
“playing!”
“I’ll mess up your whole game if I do that”
“No no! Look, here..” Freddy shifted, hands gently holding Bonnie’s waist and moving the blue bunny onto his lap and facing him to the pc. “I’ll be here to give you pointers okay?” he said, resting his chin over Bonnie’s shoulder and placed his hands on the keyboard and mouse respectively.
It wasn’t too difficult, Freddy smiled wide as he watched Bonnie make his way through the game easily. “wow look at you go, you’re a natural”
“learned from watching you”
“flattering me, Bon?”
Bonnie snuggled back against Freddy’s chest, humming happily as he roamed through the game. And then something jumped at the screen, causing Bonnie to shriek loudly and flinch backwards.
“WHAT THE FUCK!”
Bonnie’s ears had gone straight up, and he’d sort’ve hit Freddy with his elbow when he jumped but the bear still laughed softly, hugging him close.
“geez Bon, I’m supposed to be family friendly”
Bonnie’s chest was rising and falling quickly, Freddy could see it through his face cam and he nuzzled his nose into the bunny’s neck. “did it really scare you that bad? I’m sorry, fluff”
Bonnie sighed and peppered kisses over Freddy’s forehead and smile “wish you would’ve warned me it was a horror game, only you get my heart racing like that”
A laugh sounded from Freddy behind him and the bear nuzzled against his neck “it’s okay, I hate jumpscares too”
Bonnie laughed, he knew that to be true more than anyone. He couldn’t even count on both hands the amount of times he’d ruined his mascara because Freddy had screamed over a jumpscare. His poor teddy bear.
“Okay, okay you get back to your game okay and I’ll feed you” Bonnie shuffled out of Freddy’s lap and back to the chair he had been in before. Carefully, he pick up the sandwich “open wide” Freddy had unpaused the game by now but he still leaned towards Bonnie without taking his eyes off the screen, opening him mouth and taking a bite.
“Oh wow!”
Bonnie’s foot began to thump when Freddy reacted so positively to his food.
“a tuna grilled cheese?? Bon you spoil me” the bear tilted Bonnie’s face up towards his own and pressed a soft kiss to his mouth. Bonnie giggled as he pulled back and nodded “yep! And I got some green tea with honey and lemon, since you’ve been talking for so long you gotta soothe your throat baby”
Freddy paused a moment then, just watching Bonnie’s face and eventually letting out a soft sigh. He was so….lucky. Bonnie was so loving and sweet and Freddy couldn’t believe he got to wake up beside him every day of his life.
“I love you, fluff”
Bonnie gave him a smile back, leaning to kiss his cheek gently “I love you too, teddy”
“we should have a date tomorrow?”
“a date?”
“yeah, I wanna take you out. It’s been a while and I feel bad about that. So I want to take you out all day, have fun, a movie maybe, and dinner” Freddy was looking back at his PC, clicking his mouse as he went. Bonnie hummed, leaning against Freddy’s arm and gently pressing kisses to his shoulder.
“that sounds perfect, but after you rest okay? When you finish this you better catch up on your sleep and…”
Bonnie trailed off with a yawn before continuing.
“And then we can plan our date”
Freddy laughed.
“Maybe you should catch up on your sleep, don’t worry. If you wanna stay here I’ll put on a different game so I don’t wake you up with me screaming” he said, reaching over to grab a small blanket and put it over Bonnie as they curled up.
“mm okay, but don’t let me sleep too late…got videos to edit”
“I’ll wake you up before noon”
“You’re just perfect huh?”
“shhh, sleep time”
Bonnies laughter was soft and quiet, not enough energy.
Freddy kept to his word, swapping his game and smiling when his chat filled with comments about Bonnie being asleep now and wishing him pleasant dreams.
Freddy was so happy his fans appreciated Bonnie so much, he pressed a soft kiss to Bonnie’s head and let him sleep peacefully for the rest of the morning.
