Work Text:
General
- All the brother’s were given an Eevee from the MC along with a set of evolution stones, to share among themselves, that they could use if they wished. Each of the brothers replaced one of their main 6 pokemon with the Eevee or its evolution.
- The Devildom doesn’t have pokemon leagues like the human world, though Diavolo finds the concept intriguing though. If the Devildom did implement something similar, the brothers would be a part of it as the Devildom’s top trainers. Though that might be an impossible feat for anyone wanting to take part in the challenge.
- While there is not a pokemon league challenge in the Devildom there are several battling events throughout the year. The most popular being a battle royale that used to take part across the main city of the Devildom but has since been moved out into the surrounding forests after a particularly rowdy year caused a lot of property damage. Participants use a single pokemon that must be kept out at all times and can’t have any prior items with them. Other than this, there are generally no other rules.
- Lucifer banned you from participating since the lack of rules made it dangerous for a human. Mainly because there were no rules about attacking trainers outright.
- Since the majority of demons have wings, sky battles are very popular in the Devildom.
- The Devildom and Celestial Realm influence pokemon in a way that increases the lifespans of pokemon. This includes pokemon not originally from these places as well.
Lucifer
- Right off the bat Lucifer used one of the evolution stones, picked at random, on the Eevee MC gifted him. Mostly out of curiosity as Eevee wasn’t a pokemon found in the Devildom and the idea a pokemon could evolve into almost any typing almost seemed false and he wanted to see it for himself. The stone he used was a leaf stone, turning his Eevee into a Leafeon.
- While he has Mega Stones for both his Houndoom and Garchomp he tends to prefer to mega evolve Houndoom.
- Houndoom is ever loyal to Lucifer and if given a task it will do it diligently with no error.
- Lucifer’s Garchomp has a reputation of being a pokemon you don’t want to go up against. Among the brothers it’s generally feared for being the pokemon sent to retrieve them using any means necessary If they have caused trouble.
- His Honchkrow is generally kept around to keep Mammon in line. Lucifer’s brother’s constantly make jokes that it’s basically Lucifer in Pokemon form.
- There is a few rumors about how Lucifer got his hands on Spectrier. One theory is that there may have been a Shaderoot Carrot in the collection of cursed food he’s confiscated from Beel. Another is they bonded over the fact they just want peace and quiet in their lives. One thing that did come of it is that it gave Mephistopheles another reason to hate Lucifer.
- The last Pokemon that makes up Lucifer’s team is a shiny Oricorio (Baile Form) that originally belonged to Diavolo. Diavolo gifted it to Lucifer after Oricorio seemingly took a liking to him and deemed that it would be happier in Lucifer’s care.
- Doesn’t name his pokemon.
Mammon
- Mammon was content with letting his eevee remain an eevee; however he didn’t want his brothers to look down on the precious eevee you gifted him as weak. That would be like an indirect insult to you, not that he cared or anything. He pondered using a thunderstone on it for a while. Fretting over whether or not the eevee would like being a jolteon or not.
- Mammon named his eevee Lucky and had fastened an Amulet Coin to a yellow bandana that he tied around its neck.
- Most of Mammon’s pokemon are used for his benefit, to help him gather valuables to sell. More than a few times has Mammon mentioned to you that once his Zigzagoon evolves, he would be able to sell Linoone’s shed fur for grimm since it’s valuable. Though it doesn’t seem that he’s in a hurry to make that happen.
- Mammon’s Murkrow is a bit of a traitor. While it happily goes along with whatever schemes Mammon comes up with, it has on multiple occasions ‘switched sides’ when Lucifer’s Honchkrow gets involved in order to help keep Mammon in line.
- Mammon has a Meowth that more often than not finds themselves at odds with each other and their friendship seems more like temporary truces when the need arises. The source of their conflicts? Mammon’s meowth is nearly as greedy as Mammon himself and has a tendency to hoard valuables whether they belong to Mammon himself or things Mammon has gathered to sell and is reluctant to relinquish anything back to Mammon, leaving Mammon with more than a few scratches. Still why it seems like they hate each other, their friendship and trust shine through when it matters.
- Mammon gives names to all his pokemon but also has fewer pokemon in total than his brothers and will often go and visit the pokemon he doesn’t have on him wherever they are.
- While Mammon's team doesn’t look like much, he uses this to his advantage to swindle grimm in pokemon battles. Hardly ever needing to resort to using his Talonflame or Pidgeot.
- When he’s not hustling grimm in pokemon battles, he’s a pretty prominent figure in the sky battler scene of the Devildom. His Talonflame being quite the formidable opponent and his Ace, Pidgeot being down right devastating when Mega Evolved.
Leviathan
- Levi wasn’t necessarily against evolving his eevee however he was happy that he had one because an eevee was the protagonist of a lesser known classic anime from the human world called Help! I’ve Been Turned into a Pokemon and Forced into Forming a Rescue Team to Save Pokemon from Disasters that May or May Not be My Fault While Also being Hunted Down by a Mysterious Pokemon!? However in the end his eevee, in a way, forced its hand or rather paw to make Levi evolve it into a vaporeon. As it felt left out since almost all of Levi’s other pokemon are water types.
- Levi’s ace pokemon is generally a Gyarados he mega evolves, however after destroying the House of Lamentation too many times Lucifer forbids him from having it readily on him in hopes that the time it takes Levi to switch out his pokemon, Levi might think twice. Not exactly effective but it has reduced the number of times he damages the house via Gyarados.
- While his team isn’t constant, one pokemon that’s always on it is a Seaking. Unless Levi needs it or plans to be out of his room for an extended amount of time, it stays out of its pokeball in the aquarium in Levi’s room along with any other smaller water pokemon that may be on his team.
- Recently he put a wishiwashi on his team after you mentioned it was the pokemon he reminded you of and convinced him you didn’t mean it in a bad way and that it wasn’t known as the demon of the sea in the human world for nothing.
- While Levi has a preference for water type pokemon, he actually has quite the range of pokemon he can use at his disposal.
- Mostly named after fictional characters
- A Rotom had stowed away in an Akuzon package and at first caused a lot of havoc before Levi managed to befriend it (never caught it.). Since then it has become a real help to Levi, like helping breaking harmful curses on games. In return Levi gets rotom compatible devices off akuzon for it to happily exist in.
- While not as close to his pokemon like Asmo or Mammon due to the sheer amount he has accumulated, he does try his best.
- Unlike his brother’s who prefer mega evolution as their choice of power up, Levi much like his team of pokemon are more dynamic depending on the situation. The ships of the Devildom Navy are equipped to allow dynamaxing pokemon. Z-Moves are great when he wants to feel like an anime character. (though he does feel embarrassed enacting them.)
- If doing his job as General, he is likely to have one or a mix of Blastoise, Lapras, and Drednaw.
Asmodeus
- Asmo isn’t much for battling, preferring to compete in contests instead, mainly because this gives him a chance to show off himself as well as his pokemon. Unfortunately pokemon contests are not as popular in Devildom as they are in the Human world. Though he does get permission to compete in Human World Contests which he always wins.
- If ever battling outside of contests, his battling style loses it's grace and beauty that people associate asmo with. Becoming more unrelenting and ruthless, granted if he's battling outside contests chances are he's upset about something and demands vengeance. When he gets like this even his pokemon’s demeanor changes from their norm. You have never seen such cute pokemon seem so menacing in your life.
- The only other time Asmo participates in battles is asked to take part in double battles with someone else, saying it's a good way to get to know someone.
- Asmo wasn’t particularly listening when you were talking about how the eevees evolve, toning out as you explained how different stones affect eevee. He didn’t plan on evolving his eevee as he found it already as cute as a button. So he was caught off guard when it did evolve into a Sylveon, but was overjoyed that it could evolve into something even more adorable.
- Asmo's go to contest pokemon, before Sylveon became an addition to his team, was a rather unique Pikachu with a black heart at the top of it's tail that learned moves Pikachu typically can't learn. Asmo would design costumes for it to wear in contests and have Levi sew them.
- The Pokemon on his team that can mega evolve is Audino, which really shines when partaking in double battles.
- Asmo’s Shiny Ribombee is a pokemon he relies on most of all, not for contests or battles or anything, just everyday goings on. Using the pollen it creates in a number of his daily routines or having it fetch smaller items like make up or perfume. It’s a fairly common sight to see it holding up a compact mirror for Asmo as he touches up his makeup.
- The Salazzle and Roserade that make up a part of Asmo’s team have a weird rivalry between each other. Constantly trying to one up each other.
- Gives his pokemon cute names.
Satan
- After Lucifer evolve his Eevee into Leafeon, Satan saw that he could have the advantage over Lucifer in this matter, promptly seized the ice stone and evolved his eevee into Glaceon and then challenged Lucifer to a battle. Lucifer’s Leafeon vs his Glaceon. Satan lost this battle.
- The pokemon he chooses to mega evolve is his Banette. Banette enjoys pranking Lucifer with Satan. Sometimes when Satan’s Banette is bored, such as when Satan is engrossed in a book, will go and prank Lucifer unprompted.
- Has a female Meowstic that he’s been taught to read. While it can read at a high level it prefers to read children’s picture books. If it wants something with more substance it occasionally sneaks into Levi’s room and raids his manga collection much to Levi’s dismay.
- His Serperior is just sort of around. When you first arrived in the Devildom you were frequently startled by Serperior that would just be behind you when you least expect it, seemingly judging you. You come to realize that it’s just curious about the goings on of the House of Lamentation and often wonders the halls and grounds. Now you are used to it and give it a friendly nod if you catch it slithering around going about its business.
- In Satan’s eyes, his Liepard could do no wrong. But generally disliked by everyone in the House of Lamentation. It is best behavior around Satan and tolerant of you but you know it’s true colors along with everyone who has roamed alone the halls and accidentally crossed paths with it, probably the most mean spirited pokemon you have ever come across. Sometimes it just seeks out trouble to entertain itself. Stealing food from Beel, knocking items off tables and shelves, stalking and pouncing on demon bros and then running away, etc. You were glad it didn’t seem to have any qualms with you. Seems like it would suck to deal with.
- Satan’s Luxray is the pokemon he keeps in its pokeball most of the time unless it’s in a large open space as his Luxray is inclined to the zoomies and the Hall of Lamentation is not the place for a pokemon of Luxray’s size to run around with reckless abandon when the mood strikes it.
- Doesn’t name his pokemon but mostly keeps them outside their pokeballs.
Beelzebub
- Beel’s eevee evolved into an Espeon who tries to keep Beel and his pokemon out of trouble, which reminds him of you in that regard. His Espeon often uses its psychic powers to accomplish this task to keep Beel’s pokemon from getting too rowdy amongst themselves and from escalating into full on fights. It also uses its power to carry and give food to Beel among other things.
- Beel’s Eevee evolving into Espeon in a way was shocking to you, seeing how there is no sunlight in the Devildom so with that logic you figured that the chances of any of the brother’s Eevees turning into one were zero. Really you should have considered the rogue wingull who would swoop down and steal food out from Beel’s hands during a trip to the human world. Which had you concerned, knowing how Beel is when food is involved. You couldn’t have him hulking out in the human world so while you were trying to calm Beel down, his eevee decided to chase after the wingull to try to get back what it had stolen, though there wasn’t much it could do on the ground though. The mistake the wingull made was flaunting food it stole thinking eevee couldn’t get it back and in a way eevee used the power of friendship to evolve into Espeon and get back what was stolen from Beel.
- The ace pokemon of Beel’s team is Heracross which can mega evolve. It’s also the bane of Luke’s existence with its obsession with sweet foods.
- If Heracross is the bane of Luke’s existence then Beel’s Lycanroc (Dusk form), as it has come to Luke’s aid on multiple occasions to help fend off an overly excited Heracross looking for treats. The main reason being it has formed a friendship with Luke’s Rockruff. Besides the occasions where it tries to protect Luke or Luke’s Rockruff, it tends to keep to itself unless something really ignites its fighting spirit.
- If there were any pokemon on Beel’s team who has it rough, it would be Sirfetch’d. If there is a fight among Beel’s team, Sirfetch’d is generally in the center of it. The cause? The leek it carries. Between Beel’s Munchlax and Morpeko (and occasionally Beel himself) it has its work cut out for it trying to keep them from eating it and won't hesitate to throw hands.
- Names Pokemon after food.
Belphegor
- His Eevee evolved into umbreon.
- When you first met Belphie, you knew of two of his pokemon since he only had two on him when he was locked away. Lucifer had confiscated the rest of them, unbeknownst to you, for the time being to prevent his escape. If you had known the other pokemon that makes up his team then perhaps maybe, just maybe seen he was harboring some sort of grudge.
- Dubwool was one of the pokemon Belphie had with him in the attic room. He mentioned that its wool was comfy and helped him sleep better.
- Komala was the other pokemon with him and it slept nested within Dubwools wool.
- Ah yes Gengar, a pokemon known for tormenting people and delighting in their terror. Making things chilly, putting curses on people, unalive them, etc. Just generally a pokemon you don’t want to encounter randomly in the human world unless you have a plan. Belphie’s Gengar though? It basically acts like a mom. Though it makes sense that Belphie would have a pokemon that would help him out with tasks considering how Belphie’s default mood is tired and can’t be bothered. If it runs out of things to do for Belphie it will look for other things to do. You remember once when it was your turn to cook dinner and it descended from the ceiling and started helping you out. Gengar is the pokemon he Mega evolves.
- Zoroark was an interesting one to you. Why? Because his particular Zoroark wasn't like the ones you are used to in the Human World and it was essentially Diavolo's Arcanine situation all over again. Different typing and different look. Then he hits you with, they are actually white and red and not gray and purple and full of malice towards humans. Which had you concerned being a human and all. What you didn't expect is for it to be essentially a bundle of anxiety in the form of a pokemon. Counting it as a win when you were able to give it a poke puff without it trying to run away or refusing to eat the treat.
- Seeing how Belphie’s Gengar and Zoroark were far from what the general vibe of these pokemon were known for, you figured his Morgrem would also surprise you but no. It’s very much the backstabbing trickster they are known to be.
- Doesn’t name pokemon.
- Doesn’t battle much, can’t be bothered.
- He has collected all the colors of Minior.
Barbatos
- There are quite a few dangerous factors that come with powers that allow you to mess with the flow of time. There are the obvious dangers like accidentally messing up the timeline due to carelessness however that just adds extra unneeded work on Barbatos part to fix things as they should be. However the more you mess with time, you get unnecessary attention brought upon you as Barbatos would come to realize. The first of these encounters happened by chance when a Celebi happened to come across Barbatos visiting the past for a common flowering plant that has become rare in the present that makes for a very aromatic tea Lord Diavolo enjoys. Celebi was curious at first, keeping an eye on Barbatos from a distance. However when Barbatos used his power to return to the present, Celebi followed him back to his own time wanting to become friends with the demon who shared the ability to travel through time. Barbatos eventually caved to allowing Celebi to stay with him after about the 7th pokemon egg it brought him from who knows where in hopes it would stop bringing him eggs. He has grown rather fond of Celebi especially after it helped him get out of a rather sticky situation.
- Because of his occasional meddling in the timelines, Barbatos caught the attention of Dialga which Barbatos wasn’t exactly prepared to deal with. His pokemon were not exactly strong enough to deal with this threat and his own power only enough to bring a one sided fight to a stalemate as not to get decimated by the angry temporal pokemon bent on his destruction. While Barbatos couldn’t leave at this point of time due to Dialga’s influence, Celebi could. To which he sent it off in hopes it could bring something back to deal with Dialga, to which Celebi brought back the tools needed to capture Dialga.
- During a vacation to the human world took a wild unexpected turn, Barbatos ended up with a Lunala.
- Barbatos keeps Dialga and Lunala on his person at all times considering they would be dangerous in the wrong hands. Which in the Devildom, that makes up the majority. Only Diavolo and Solomon know that he has these two powerful Pokemon. He quite enjoys listening to your wild theory of what final two Pokemon makes up his team.
- Before Dialga and Lunala gained a permanent place on his team, he had a Furret and mega evolving Absol. While not on his team, they still reside on the grounds of the Demon Lord’s Castle. Which he’s thankful of, as Furret helps deal with wild Rattata on the grounds.
- The other pokemon that makes up his team is a male Indeedee that helps Barbatos carry out his daily tasks. An Antique Polteageist. And a Mint Cream Alcremie donning Berry Sweets.
- Doesn’t name his pokemon. Finds it endearing that Lord Diavolo has given his pokemon nicknames.
Diavolo
- His first pokemon was Litleo, that has since evolved into a very majestic Pyroar.
- His first pokemon caught was a growlithe from the Human world from back in the day. He found your reaction to his arcanine amusing but he also felt a pang of sadness knowing Arcanine in the Human World are different now. However that sadness was short lived when you brought one down to the Devildom to show him and he realized just how floofy they are in the present time.
- While vacationing in the Human World he befriended a few Pokemon that he brought back to the Devildom. Which includes
- An Alolan Raichu that seemed to bond with Diavolo after being given pancakes. It followed Diavolo and Barbatos around afterwards, occasionally getting offered different treats when they realized it was still following them around. Eventually leading to Diavolo catching it.
- A couple of Oricorios (pompom and baile) that Diavolo found so delightful. One which would eventually be gifted to Lucifer.
- The sky high pokemon Rayquaza.
- And a really cute poliwag that he would later evolve into a politoed.
- If there were any person who would go on vacation and catch a legendary Pokemon it would be Diavolo. From the sound of how he obtained it, it's not even this world's Rayquaza. He mentioned something about a hole in the sky that he got sucked into and Barbatos eventually coming to his rescue. Plus it is not even the color Rayquaza is known to be either. Sporting a black color instead of green like it’s depicted in books back in the human world. It's definitely his Ace pokemon capable of mega evolution although few people who battle him get to the point where he uses it. If someone did manage to beat the 5 pokemon prior, and he has to send out Rayquaza it feels as though he was toying with them all along.
- Nicknames his pokemon, also gives nicknames to Barbatos pokemon. Only uses them in private or in the company of those closest to him.
Solomon
- He has a male Meowstic that likes to help him with creating potions, levitating needed ingredients as they are called for. However it could be literally anywhere minding it’s own business and get a feeling of dread wash over it when Solomon decides he wants to cook something and will try it’s best to try to put a stop to an absolutely inedible creation by trying to put away ingredients that shouldn’t be added. But in the end it ends in failure.
- Ninetails, a pokemon known for its long lifespan and willingness to curse anyone that messes with any of its nine tails. It’s one of Solomon’s favorite pokemon and he had told you that originally the fire variant of Ninetails originally only existed in the Devildom. Which made sense. When you asked how they got to the human world then he sort of laughed and said “who could say.” as if he didn’t know. He did know. He was the reason Ninetales were unleashed upon the human world. Not on purpose though it was sort of a Wooopsies kind of moment.
- Silvally is a pokemon you frequently asks Solomon about. Since as far as you are concerned it doesn't exist yet there it is. Telling you don’t worry about it or that it’s a secret and refuses to elaborate further. He did confess that it was like a porygon, in the sense it doesn’t naturally exist. It’s not like you needed to be told this as it uses discs that allows it to change its typing. You jokingly asked if it was compatible with music discs too. To which he gave a serious reply of he didn’t know but he could easily test this.
- It did weirdly seem to work and reminded you of that scene from Lilo and Stitch.
- Slowking
- Much like Silvally you had questions about the pokemon he called Mewtwo he possessed as well. Only to receive as many answers about it as you did about Silvally.
- A Jirachi he keeps in his company that he sought out a long time ago to grant a wish he had, a wish that it couldn’t fulfill. He treats it as a friend he gets to talk to every 1000 years. Making a joke He didn’t know who slept more, Belphie or Jirachi.
Simeon
- Prefers not to battle pokemon and his pokemon would also prefer not to battle and have generally made friends with the people and pokemon around them.
- His team consists of his ace, Altaria; Togekiss, Blissey, Dragonite, Lapras, and an Alolan Ninetales. All generally even tempered and kind.
Luke
- Luke’s first pokemon is a Togepi that was given to him as an egg by Simeon. The demon brother’s seem to be fearful of it, calling it a harbinger of destruction to which you roll your eyes at not taking their accusations that seriously, unbeknownst to you the devastation it has caused with metronome in the past.
- *Mammon takes Togepi from Luke*
- Luke: HEY!
- Mammon: Does this look like the face of mercy MC?
- Togepi: *Happy pokemon noises*
- MC: Mammon, that's basically an egg. *Takes Togepi and gives it back to Luke*
- Luke has a Galarian Ponyta that has a habit of breaking out of its pokeball and running off. Luke blames this on the fact that it can sense the evil intent of demons even within its pokeball and feels the need to flee. Trying to find ponyta after it escapes often gets Luke into some sort of trouble. Trouble that when resolved sometimes brings him and the demons just a little closer together as friends.
- Luke’s distaste about being around demons has rubbed off onto his Yamper, which will often bark at the demon bros. Though it can be bribed with treats for a temporary truce.
- Luke’s Rockruff is friendly to everyone. Whether angels, demons, humans, or pokemon it will attempt to be friends. Which can be and has been problematic as his Rockruff seemingly has poor judgment. On occasion Beel’s Lycanroc will just appear before Rockruff can get itself into trouble by picking it by the scruff and carrying it away. So far Beel’s Lycanroc has prevented Luke’s Rockruff from getting attacked by strong wild pokemon and demons looking to steal pokemon on multiple occasions.
- Luke’s Riolu is like Luke’s very own shadow. Following him around and copying his mannerisms and movements almost in perfect sync. It can be very distracting at times.
