Chapter Text
- Sebastian... - Lewis purrs, fingering Vettel's soft curls dozing on his chest.
- M? .. - Seb is too lazy to even open his eyes, but something fox in his partner's voice makes him internally alert. He has studied it too well for so many years.
- When will we tell him?
- What? To whom? - the German even raises his head, squinting incomprehensibly at his man.
- Mick. About Us.
- You can't get out of your head that moment when you had to hide in the bathroom for half an hour when he came into my room? - Sebastian laughs, trying to make a joke, but this time Lewis is not going to give up so easily.
- Including, but this is not the main thing. - Hamilton sighs, unclenching his hands, releasing the man and sitting himself on the bed across from him. - Seb, how long have we been together? You take care of him like your son, you can talk about him for hours with such warmth and love...
- Is it just me or are you jealous? - another unsuccessful attempt to translate everything into a joke.
- Don't play dumb, Seb! - Lewis snorts slightly annoyed. - Now, when I see Mick, what he is ... I want to have the opportunity to support him. I want to be closer, not just watch from the sidelines. Why don't you let me be a part of this?... - echoes of bitterness suddenly cut through the voice.
- Lew ... - Sebastian feels confused, all their talk about it was joking and it seemed that Lewis was just teasing him, all these questions "When will you introduce me to your son?" seemed like nothing more than a joke. - I didn't think it was that important to you. - He lightly touches his shoulder with his fingertips.
- I didn't think so either. Until I got to know Mick better ... It's one thing that you talk about him incessantly, and another thing is to see it with your own eyes. - Lewis sounds unexpectedly vulnerable and Seb can't help but hug him. Despite the fact that they have been together for more than a year, Sebastian sometimes shudders from the realization that always unbending, always a fighter, not paying attention to other people's words, Lewis allows himself to be so himself next to him. - What are you afraid of? Mick is not a child for a long time.
- I ... - Vettel bites his lip, falls silent for a moment, in an attempt to formulate his thoughts. - I don't know how he will react to this. Lewis, I really want to talk about you. You are my family, and so is Mick, and I feel disgusting for hiding you. I'm just afraid that...
- That he will move away from? That he will stop trusting? - Lewis sighs softly, ruffles Sebastian's hair, kisses his forehead. - I understand. I really understand, I just would like to ... - just come up and hug when the fire goes out in blue eyes, ruffle his hair when his shoulders droop, tell in secret that his teammate is a dumbass. Lewis had never noticed this before, no one makes him feel that way. What's this ? Is old age creeping up?
-Someday I'll talk to him about it. Promise. -Vettel whispers softly, relaxing in Lewis's arms, allowing himself to be laid back on the bed. Wow, they have been together for three years, and every touch of him, as before, sends shivers throughout the body, every smile blinds and evokes an incredible mixture of emotions. Although no, not like before - even stronger.

- I didn't expect that from you. -Lewis hides a smile when Sebastian walks up to him after the press conference in Hungary, in those rainbow sneakers of his.
- You haven't seen my helmet yet. - Seb sends him a sly look, shakes his hand, and moves on - too much press, they can't afford too much, because as practice shows, speculation of the devil knows what starts instantly.
Lewis looks after him and is glad that his face is hidden by a mask, and no one sees his completely stupid smile. Now he understands why Seb has been so mysterious all the previous week. And Lewis knows what it means - no, of course, Sebastian says what he thinks, what he is sure of, but in the same way he stands next to him, showing the whole world that Hamilton is not alone in this struggle and courage.

-Seb! Cool sneakers, do you have a pair for me? - Mick jumps on him on the stairs and his face lights up with a smile. Judging by what Vettel saw (albeit briefly) - for the first time that day.
- Ask me about it after the race. - Seb gently shakes his hand, peering into his eyes carefully. - Everything is fine?
- Yes, it's okay.
Sebastian only casts an attentive look at him, now there is no time for questions and a longer conversation, but something tells him that something is not "okay". Too well he knows this boy from childhood
- Hey Mick! - turns around, having already gone down the stairs, sees the questioning look of blue eyes. - Shall we have dinner tonight?
- Oh sure. Text me when you are free.

- You're too mysterious, what are you thinking? - Lewis is too intrigued, despite the fact that his partner pretends that he just invited him to dinner after the race. But he knows Vettel too well to clearly understand that it's not just about dinner.
-Nothing special. Just dinner. We haven't been out for a long time. - Seb tries to sound as innocent as possible and Lewis pretends to believe him so he doesn't ask any more questions while Sebastian takes him to his chosen restaurant.
Everything is as usual, but the way Seb is visibly nervous, checks the phone several times nervously, and looks around, more and more suggests that something is being hidden from him.
- Sebby... what are you thinking? - He speaks softly, almost purring. He does not have time to answer him, looks somewhere to the side and his face at the moment seems to glow, a smile appears on his lips. Lewis shifts his gaze in the same direction Sebastian is looking and sees Mick coming up to them - he is slightly stooped and looks a little embarrassed.
- Hi. - Mick's smile only blooms when Sebastian gets up to put his arm around his shoulders. - Seb didn’t warn you were going to keep us company. I'm glad to see you. - the guy holds out his hand to Lewis, which he gently shakes.
- Just like he didn't warn me. - Hamilton snorts, lightly elbowing Vettel in the side. - Conspirator.
- You wanted us to have dinner together. - Sebastian only languidly waves his hand, pretending to carefully consider the menu.
-You wanted to see me? - Mick somewhat confused looks from one to the other. - Something happened?
- Nothing happened, don't worry. Let's just have dinner. - Lewis hurries to reassure him, because in reality he still does not know what exactly Sebastian is up to.
And the dinner really succeeds, the first confusion quickly dissolves, they talk about everything in the world and Lewis gets genuine pleasure from this communication. He also notices something: how Sebastian looks at Mick, how his voice changes, with what adoration Mick looks at Seb, how he glows, how he listens to him ... And it seems to Lewis that this is the most beautiful thing he has seen in a long time. He does not feel superfluous, he is involved, but something is missing. Something elusive.
-Actually... - at some point Sebastian's voice becomes serious. - Mick, you are an insanely important person for me, and I do not want to hide from you a part of my life, which is also important to me. - he seems to be gathering strength, and Lewis quietly finds his hand under the table, squeezes, silently supporting. - Lewis and I are together... I mean dating... for a while now...
Hamilton only smiles softly, looking at the reaction of the guy with some apprehension, and a fleeting shadow does not hide from him, for a moment running across Mick's face, for a moment his eyes faded, he notices that Mick seems to freeze for a moment, before blurring into a smile.
- So that's why you're so often busy in the evenings and completely ignore me? - he jokes and it looks almost like a natural reaction. - I'm very happy for you. You look so wonderful together. Sebastian, you couldn't tell me right away?! - and it seems as if everything is really good, as if he really accepts it all so easily.
- I don't know... stupid hesitation? - Vettel noticeably relaxes. - I'm glad everything's all right. Would you like to come visit us for a few days? If you don't have any special plans for your summer break?
-Yes, really, Mick, I'd like to catch up and spend a little more time with you. - Lewis had no idea about this idea, but immediately lights up with enthusiasm. - You can take Angie with you, I think she and Roscoe will get along.
- Oh sure. With pleasure.
