Mix just finished arranging all the vases for him to sell tomorrow. If only P'Green doesn't begging him to work overtime of course he already been at home right now. But like P'Green keep saying.
'You're single, so why don't spend your time here in this shop. Who knows some man will have eyes on you.' Those were P'Green words 6 months ago. And guess what, until today no one wanted to try him.
Mix decided to work in this flower shop because it reminded him of his mother. His mom love flower so much and to keep make him remember his mom. He agree to work with P'Green who also his uncle. P'Green open this flower shop because he want to acknowledge everyone that flower can give not only to woman. But also a man deserves a flower.
While he counted the amount of fresh rose in the box, someone knocked on the counter table. Mix head up and look at the person. Mix was amazed by the person who stood in front him. The body posture, the face and also the eyes.
Yes, the eyes. The person 's in front of him really caught his attention.
"Hello? Excuse me..." The man waves his hand in front of Mix eyes and Mix back to his reality. He blinked his eyes to bring his focus back.
"Sorry sir, aaaa can I help you?"Mix asked nervously. If only that man could listen to how fast his heart is beating right now.
The man smiled brightly.
"I'm looking for P'Green. He told me that he has a flower shop . He said that if I want to buy flowers I can come here."The man explained to Mix.
Mix nodded his head as he understood. But what is the relationship between this man and his Uncle?
"Yes, that's correct. But can I ask what's your relationship with my uncle with you." Mix said and the last word of him was speak slowly but still can be listened by that man's ears.
The man chuckles and he looks into the small boys in front of him.
"It's okay if you don't want to answer..." Mix panics himself when that man doesn't give the answer.
"I'm Earth, I'm P'Green best friend." Earth said and showed his chat with P'Green in case Mix still doubts about his existence.
Mix looked at Earth from his eyes to his toes, and took out the paper beside the big box.
"You can write the name of the flower that you want, and also how you want your flower to be arranged. Here a list of flowers and the styles. If you have any questions you can ask me." Mix explained to Earth while showing all the flowers that they have and the styles that their buyers always used.
Earth looks at the list many times, but his eyes are not really on the list. His eyes keep looking at Mix who is still busy counting the red roses. Mix looks so small beside the huge big box. And the red rose that spread around him made him look like in the small garden. He can’t focus on the flower name and suddenly Mix looks at his eyes. And of course Earth was shocked and tried to fake himself by looking at the surroundings.
"You already picked the flower?" Mix ask while holding the scissors that are usually used to cut flowers.
Earth scratching his back head and smiling shyly. He doesn't really know about flowers, but the purpose of him coming here is just to buy flowers for himself.
"Actually, I don't really know what flower I should buy." Earth laughed at the end of his talk.
Mix shaking his head. He knows that he will get that answer.
"May I know who the person you want to give this flower to?"Mix asks and starts to write down the details.
Earth gasped. If he answered for himself would it be funny? Or is that okay if a man wants a flower?
"Sir..."Mix asked again since he saw the Earth face looking confused.
"Is that weird if I said that I'm buying this flower for myself..."Earth said slowly. Mix node his head understands why this man hardly says the reason for him buying flowers.
"Why do you think it's weird?" Mix asks Earth back.
Earth has no idea what to answer. He can only see Mix knock the pencil on the table while his mind was found nowhere.
"Earth..." Earth choked himself when he heard Mix called his name…
"Okay, I usually know that people buy flowers for someone and they have their own reasons. So I found it weird if I said that I'm buying flowers for myself without any specific reasons." Earth explained while avoiding Mix eyes.
He can't see those sparkly eyes for too long. It makes his heart flutter without any reason. He saw Mix writing something on the paper that he gave before. He waits for a few seconds and suddenly Mix looks up his head to see Earth face.
"I recommend you Yellow Tulips, because it gives a good meaning for you. In case you didn't know, the Yellow flower is a symbol of happiness. So how was it? Are you okay with that?"Mix asked while he showed the flower that Earth will receive later.
Earth nodded and agreed. He doesn't really care as long as he buys the flower for himself. Earth really impressed on how Mix arranged and styles the yellow tulips. The way Mix face calmly chooses the ribbon, leaves and the yellow tulips really attract his eyes. He can't deny that he was a little bit shocked when he came into this flower shop and saw a young man was there. Because he usually saw a girl was arranging the flower shop.
While Mix is packing the yellow tulips, the bell at the door suddenly rings as a sign someone is coming. Mix and Earth looked at the sound and saw Green come in. He raised his hands to Earth and Earth smiled back.
“Why don't you tell me that you already arrived!”P’Green tap on Earth shoulder excitedly and saw Mix preparing the flower.
“Oooo yellow tulips. I'm glad you already know all the meaning of the flower.”P’Green impressed by Mix skills in work.
Mix smiles while tying the last ribbon on the wrap paper. Green drags Earth's hand to follow him seated on the chair.
“You like him I guess?”P’Green asked while they sat on the chair. Earth shakes his head fastly to disagree with the statement.
“Don’t lie, I saw your eyes keep looking at my workers. Don't worry you can try him. He is single, you know.”P’Green poured tea in the cup and drink it.
After listening to Green words. Earth feels relieved. At least he doesn't like someone's boyfriend.
“Seriously he is single? Like no one has a crush on him?”Earth asks again just to make sure everything is correct.
P’Green nodded his head. He showed Earth a few photos of Mix that he took to promote the flower a few months ago. Earth can’t hold his own smile. Mix looks so pretty and small with all the bouquet of flowers. Every colour of flower suits him well.
“Don’t tell him that I like him. I will tell him by myself.”Earth gave Green a warning as he knows his best friend's mouth loves to spill a lot of tea.
“The flower is ready!”Mix said loudly. He put the flower on the counter and continued his work just now. Earth took the flower and gave the money. He wants to ask more but Mix dont even look at him again.
Is Mix avoiding him? Or does he make Mix uncomfortable? Earth brings the flower and comes out from the flower shop. He walked away from the shop and smelled the fresh flowers. Once he arrived at home he put the flower on the sofa. He planned to take a bath. Suddenly he saw a brown card dropped from the bouquet. He looked curiously and bent down to pick up the card.
If he remembers, he doesn't ask for any additional card. He looked at the back of the card and saw a small piece of writing.
'I'm so sorry if I'm being too sarcastic for the first time we met. Just to be honest, I give you the yellow flower because it's my fav colour and the explanation I gave to you it's true. But my main point is … Can you be my yellow thing in future? Come to the Flower shop if you interested-Mix'
Earth can't believe what he has read. He doesn't get a chance to confess and Mix already does it first. How come he said 'No' when he already fell in love with Mix even though they just met 2 hours ago?
Well life is full of surprises and Earth is willing to be a Yellow thing in Mix life.
