“Have I ever told you how adorable you are?”
Wheatley lit up from the sudden familiar voice amongst the silence, causing him to blatantly turn around to whom it was. It was Grady as presumed, internally he was relieved to have his amiable presence with him as though he felt solitary.
“I just felt the need to remind you of that.”
“You didn’t have to. I know myself that It’s false tale!”
“I’ll be the judge of that.” Grady stated as he continuously glanced at Wheatley from above to below, leaving him off-guard with discomfiture. “I’m qualified enough to say, you’re the cutest I’ve ever laid my optic on.”
An unknown warmth had overtaken Wheatley's senses, that one specific mellow warmth that seemed to soften his grudges or negativity, flourished in emotions that he can’t depict. It was like a campfire inside him, not even the most furious of storms of the forest could dim the incandescent candle; It just kept burning brighter each interaction.
He was left speechless, lost for words to respond back against him. Nothing ever came out.
“What’s the matter? Cat’s got your tongue?” Grady teased with an idiom.
“No. Quite infact, I spy with my little eye that there’s a liar right infront of me. It starts with the letter G.”
“Whatever floats your boat. You’re still cute in my perspective and your view on it doesn’t change anything.”
Wheatley huffed as he started to feel warmer, beginning to speak without a thought. “..You’re being slightly infuriating now, you do know that?!”
Grady just glances at him without a single remark on his comment, “You look even cuter when you’re mad, darling.”
Darling?
That strange feeling stirred up inside Wheatley made him wanted to sink to again, to posses his soul with eternal warmth that has taken residence in his entire chassis. He felt the strings of his non-existent heart strung and he didn’t even notice he was zoning out.
“Hellooo, Earth to Wheatley? Did I unintentionally break you-“ Grady's upcoming words got interrupted by Wheatley bonking him, implied as a kiss. He surprisingly bonks back.
Pulling back from the bonk, mere of those seconds felt like eons. “So that’s how you feel about me.” He teased once more.
“Shut up.” Wheatley playfully insulted, which left both of them giggling.
For now, Grady had everything to live for.
