From the Desk of Hollis Forsythe
Incident Report
Location-Saint Charles School for Excellence.
Type of Attack-Possible psychic phenomena.
Summary to follow.
The Psychonauts HQ has received recent reports from local authorities of a possible psychic attack at the local prep school. Several students have gone missing without a trace during the past few weeks, each incident shortly followed by witnesses testifying to seeing a floating figure roaming the halls of the school, having what appears to be an unconscious student in its arms. The figure has been dubbed “The Childtaker” by the students of St Charles School for Excellence. Due to the nature of the incident the Psychonauts have received requests to investigate, apprehend, and properly contain this mysterious assailant. The reports were sent to my desk in order to lay out a proper plan of attack, of which will be properly listed in order to better sort this paperwork later.
Strategy 1- Send in Agent Nein and Agent Vodello undercover as substitute teachers.Scratch that, substitute teachers are not allowed to stay the night at the facility. This unfortunately limits both Agents in having proper investigation times.
Strategy 2- Send several agents to storm the school in a search and apprehend mission. Nope. Not in the budget. Plus we would most likely receive a lot of complaints from the faculty and parents. That would be an absolute PR nightmare.
Strategy 3- Send in Junior Agent Aquato and Junior Agent Zanatto undercover as new students.
Hollis Forsythe, Second Head, or as she prefers, Vice-Head of the Psychonauts rubs her temples after typing out the last bullet point. She could find no actual faults in this plan, but she could not allow 2 children to do a potentially life threatening mission.
“I need to get some opinions on this one.” She mutters.
The agency known as The Psychonauts is best known for being the only organization that can handle any psychic related issue or crime. Several agents have become world famous due to their exploits on missions being recounted in the top-selling comic book True Psychic Tales . By far the most popular among the agents are partners Sasha Nien and Milla Vodello, so Hollis calls the two of them in order to gauge how to actually handle this potentially dangerous mission. Their partnership and near perfect record when it comes to successful jobs around the world gives them the best qualifications for this issue.
Sasha Nein and Milla Vodello enter the office of their superior Hollis Forsythe. They happen upon her looking over a white board covered in several outlines of different scenarios. Sasha walks over to her desk and picks up the report Hollis had written.
“I feel like Razputin and Lili are more than capable of handling a mission of this caliber.” Sasha says as he reads over the report.
Milla grabs the paper telekinetically from Sahsa’s hands and starts reading it herself. Hollis already knows that Milla will be passionate about this due to the kidnappings. She rubs her temples and looks over to Sasha.
“Of course they’re more than capable, I'm not denying that. I just cannot allow 2 children to go off on their own! Maybe we can do more reconnaissance, try and learn more about this kidnapper…”
“The longer we wait the more children get kidnapped.” Milla says firmly. Despite her party girl lifestyle and colorful dresses Agent Vodello can be stern and serious when it comes to children being in danger. “Besides, we can set up a camp in the nearby woods. I know Morry and Otto have been working on better mental shielding to hide from enemy psychics. This is the perfect mission to test them!”
“And it's the perfect mission for Razputin and Lili to take on solo.” Sasha says. Unlike his partner, Sasha always keeps a serious tone, in both clothing and demeanor.
Hollis leans back in her chair and gazes up at the ceiling; she shuts her eyes and sighs.
“Go brief Agents Aquato and Zanatto. I'll inform their parents of the mission.”
As Sasha and Milla walk out of her office Hollis can already feel the massive headache that this whole thing will bring.
