Work Text:
When Lucius climaxed, he saw not only stars, but fucking comets, too. He called Pete’s name, beyond caring who might hear.
They were in the little “sex nook” they’d built in one of the storerooms that wasn’t used often and wasn’t locked. There was a partial wall of crates that went as close to the ceiling as they could get it; an extra pallet, blanket and pillow; a little box that contained a small bottle of oil; flask of drinking water; and a few clean rags and a flask of water for washing up. They’d told others about it, because as fun as watching and hearing others have sex was, sometimes you just wanted to go to sleep.
After Pete came too, they just held each other, catching their breaths. After a few moments, Lucius said, “I love having sex with you. I love the variety we have, from fucking to shagging to making love, we get all of that. Not to mention all the physical variations. I love that we’re both switchy.”
Pete smiled and kissed Lucius’s temple. “I love all of those things, too. You teach me so many new things. Like talking about feelings, like Captain Stede says, and how we can do it just us. Before, I just thought feelings were for girls.” He sighed a big sigh, a beatific smile on his face. “I love you too, Lucius.”
Lucius’s smile felt so perfect on his face, and he could almost feel his pupils dilate, he felt so happy from hearing those three little words (plus two more). “I love you too, Pete.”
“I know.”
Lucius gave him a soft, tender kiss, putting all his emotions into it. It felt good to finally say the words. Wait, Pete started out saying ‘too.’ Why? And then said he knew. Had Lucius been that obvious? They hadn’t said it to each other before this. He broke the kiss gently. “You said ‘too.’ Was i talking in my sleep last night or something? I’ve been feeling it for a little while, but I was afraid to say it, I didn’t want to scare you off.”
“You can’t scare me off, babe. You’re pretty stuck with me. But you don’t remember saying it? It was when you came just now. You were calling my name and said, ‘I love you, Pete.’ You don’t remember? Do you need to take it back? Sometimes people say things when they’re fucking that they don’t really mean. Same as sometimes when someone’s drunk.”
“I love you, Pete, even when my brain and body have cooled off a little. I’d argue that sometimes things said in the throes of passion are the most honest things, because your internal censor is gone for a moment, and so those important things, the ones that have been in your mind a lot, fly out. Does that make sense?”
“Absolutely. Say it as often as you want. I don’t think I could get tired of hearing it.”
“Good. Because I love you so much. You are my favorite daydream when I’ve been roped into doing some kind of work I hate. You are my favorite subject to sketch, and now, even though I still love drawing you from life, I can do it pretty well when you’re not right in front of me.”
Pete caressed his face, looking into his eyes and not caring that his own eyes were welling up with emotion. “I love you, Lucius. I’m not good with words like you, so I hope you can feel it when I look at you and touch you, and just being with you.”
“I can feel all of that, love.” They kissed and cuddled for a bit, then Lucius threw one leg over Pete’s and pressed his hips forward so Pete could feel his hardness.
“Already, babe? I love being with someone so young. It is a good thing we’re switchy.”
