"Achoo!"
It was the tenth time Mobius had sneezed this morning.
For once they had a day off, he was sick.
He pulled the blanket up over his shoulders as a shiver ran through him.
He called weakly, "Loki..." and immediately heard his lover's quick footsteps as he reached the bedroom.
"Mobius, love, what's wrong?" the god asked him before sitting down on the edge of the bed.
Mobius replied, his voice hoarse, "I think I'm sick..." he couldn't hold back a groan, "I'm cold and I hurt all over."
Loki ran his hand gently over his face and said softly, "My poor love..."
He kissed his forehead and said, "I'll go make you a nice cup of tea.
"Don't leave me," Mobius whined, holding him by the hand.
Loki chuckled softly, "I'll just go to the kitchen and be back as soon as possible."
He returned a little later with two steaming cups of tea and a second blanket. He gently sat Mobius against the headboard, wrapped him in the cozy blanket and handed him the cup of tea before sitting down next to him with his cup.
They drank in near silence, interrupted only by Mobius' sneezing.
When they had finished drinking, Loki put the two cups on the nightstand and made Mobius lie down, before wrapping his arms around him and pressing his head against his chest.
Mobius snuggled even more against him and whispered, almost moaning, " Stay with me..."
Loki replied, "For all time. Always."
Mobius quickly fell asleep under the hypnotic caress of Loki's hand in his hair.
Loki smiled, softened as he looked at him.
Mobius was no longer afraid to be a burden.
He no longer hesitated to complain, to ask, to not force himself to be strong.
What a journey for both of them.
Loki sighed with contentment and let himself be lulled by the sweetness of the moment.
The last thing he heard before falling asleep were Mobius' words muffled by his chest.
"...Love you... my Loki."
