“Man I’m stuffed.” Yumi said as she patted her tummy.
“Too bad Tachibana and the others are busy with SONG, but it’s okay, we are here to treat ourselves this weekend.” Shiori commented.
“It’s been 4 months after we experienced the world almost on the verge of turning into ruins.” Kuriyo puts her hands on the back of her head “There are no major threats ever since then.”
With the world now restored to the way it is, the Stroganette Trio: Yumi, Kuriyo, and Shiori, have been living in peace, they knew that the battle may be over but there are still Noise lurking around the city, waiting for their prey.
The trio is now working SONG part-time after they decided that they want to help anyone despite not having a Symphogear.
Their roles are mostly for supporting and helping anyone in need, with Yumi being the leader when commanders learns her history as a girl scout leader and her ability to remember every details just by looking at anything only once.
“I didn’t expect that working with SONG will be much stressful compared to doing homework.” Yumi continued talking.
“Good thing the latest mission will be taken care of by Bikki and Kinechri.” Kuriyo responds to her complains.
“I hope they’re okay…” Shiori quietly prayed for the girls’ safety “They have been much worse situation than us.”
“We’ll just wait and see.” Kuriyo patted her shouder, which comforted Shiori.
“Change to the next topic, should we continue our marathon like we promised to or not?” Yumi asked.
“Eh, you forgot one last thing, Yumi: Groceries.” Kuriyo countered her words, Yumi gasped when she remembered what they’re going to do today.
“Let’s get to the mall shall we?” Shiori smiled.
“Buy groceries for our researcher/inventor friend, it is our main objective.” Yumi leads the way and pointed her fingers at the mall “Operation: Friend’s Groceries, starts NOW!!!” She quickly runs off, prompting the two to follow her.
“Yumi is really energetic today, am I right?” Kuriyo asked.
“Yeah, it’s like she forget everything that has happened over the past year.” Shiori answered.
“You two! Come on!” Yumi interrupted their conversation.
“Wait!” Kuriyo and Shiori started catching up with Yumi’s pace.
One Shopping Later…
Now they have gathered all the necessary groceries, the Stroganette Trio sat on a nearby bench and put the grocery bags down, wanting to take a break for a little while.
The atmosphere was very calm and peaceful, allowing the girls to relax their minds and think of the happy moments they have went through so far. It was one of the activities they want to do during the stressful times.
For Yumi, all she could think is her favourite anime rather than the peaceful environment, the other two think the opposite.
Over the past year, ever since Hibiki was involved in dangerous situations, they are being dragged into something far worse than Noise, even Miku admits she was scared when she became a target back in December.
Before they can reminisce those moments with their new friends, they were interrupted by a sudden scream coming from behind.
“Noise! RUN!”
And it was followed by several screams, forcing them to turn their heads and confirmed what they finally said, it was a group of Alca-Noise rampaging through the streets.
“N-N-No…” Yumi’s face was now pale.
“This isn’t good…Shiori! Call SONG NOW!” Kuriyo turned her and saw Shiori already calls SONG using her phone.
When she was done, Shiori places her phone back inside her pocket “We have good news and bad news, which one you wanted to hear?” She asked the two.
“Good news!” Yumi and Kuriyo said in unison.
“Good news is: Yukine was on her way and the bad news? The Noise were around for a while before they reached here.”
“Then that means they already caused more damages!” Kuriyo pointed it out.
“And worse, it will take 5 minutes for her to reach to her destination.”
“Aw c’mon!”
When an Alca-Noise was approaching the Stroganettes, the three pulled off a run and try to get away as soon as possible. However, Shiori gets tripped and fell on the ground, Yumi and Kuriyo noticed it and helps her get up.
Unfortunately for them, they were being cornered by a group of Alca-Noise, this scared them even more, especially Yumi.
“Save us….”
“Save us…..”
“PLEASE, SAVE US!!!!!!!!”
She yelled to whoever can save them from their fate.
“SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!”
Turning their heads, they saw a black bulletproof car running over a couple Alca-Noise, and it pulls over once it reaches to the girls. The window at the driver’s seat lowered down, revealing a man with black hair and rimless rectangular glasses.
Yumi let out a huge smile and thanked the Gods for turning it into a miracle.
“Come with me if you want to live!” The man shouted.
All of them are reluctant at first but since they’re in a dangerous situation, they immediately get inside the car along with their groceries, Yumi, on the other hand, sit on the passenger’s seat.
The driver shifts the gear and steps on the pedal, allowing the car to drive away from the chaos, let alone to anyone who had the Symphogear dealing them.
Once everything has calmed down, Kuriyo and Shiori had questions for the man.
“Who are you? I never seen you before.” Shiori points at the man.
“Oh it’s my boyfriend I was talking about last week, Shin Mishikaya, you may have known him as Elfnein’s partner.” Yumi answered her question.
“Eh? I never know that!” Kuriyo was surprised.
“Nice to meet you two, sorry for being late cause I have to ditch both Hibiki and Chris to the building they were supposed to defend.” Shin greeted them with a smile “And I have to buy the latest volume of my favourite LN because it’s the only way to save time than just getting caught into a crowd of people.”
“It’s fine, each of us had this experience more than a few times.” Shiori told him.
Kuriyo was the next to talk, she raised her hand and spoke “U-Umm…Thanks for saving us, we don’t know what would happen next if you didn’t come.”
“No problem, I was here to pick her up when she told me she will get the groceries for Elfnein, also, it’s not the only reason why I came here….”
“What is it?”
“You will know, I have yet to reveal to you three.”
Before they could question Shin even further, he goes to a full stop, causing the girls to nearly fall off their seats, once they are recovered, he looks at the girls and cleared his throat.
“Can you girls leave the car please?”
“Why-“ Shiori was being silenced by Shin, who placed his finger on her lips.
“Just leave and listen to what I say.”
“Ok…..”
The girls followed his orders and leave his car, to their shock and horror, they were greeted by a group of Alca-Noise gathered in their route. Yumi tried return back to the car, only for Shin to lock the doors.
“Like I said, follow my orders.” He uses the communicators to communicate “YOU’RE BAT-SHIT INSANE! HOW CAN WE EVEN SURVIVE THIS?!” Kuriyo yelled at the device, why on earth she will listen to some guy they just met?
“JUST CHANT ‘MECHAVARANUS, TAKE OFF!’ RIGHT NOW! DO IT NOW!”
Leaving with no choice, the girls took a deep breath and shouted “Mechvaranus, Take Off!” In response to their chant, the bracelet that the three had, reacts. Each of them were surrounded by a sphere made of light, killing any Noise who tried to get closer to them.
A couple seconds later, the sphere disappears, revealing the trio with a strange outfit, it looks like a Symphogear armor but the armor pieces itself is more of a dragon than a standard one.
The girls took notice of their outfit and was shocked “EH?! WHAT THE HECK AM I WEARING?!” Kuriyo shouted “What is this?! Is this some sort of a Magical Girl anime?!” Yumi think the same too, she seems to have wear the red armor.
“Quit talking and save those questions for later! You got company!” Shin warned the girls.
“Shiori! Behind you!” Luckily for Kuriyo, Shiori heard her warnings and turned around, due to her lack of combat experience, Shiori used her large spear to block the attack, but it kills the Noise instead, much to her surprise.
Yumi realizes when she saw Shiori attacked a Noise without a scratch “Hey girls!” She quickly gathers the two “I think this armor might have similar properties as the Symphogear, in other words, we can fight back!” Upon learning this, the girls looked at each other and nod their heads before facing off the Noise.
“I’ll take the center, Shiori will take care of the left while Kuriyo will go to the right!”
“You got it!” Kuriyo readied her blue sword that matches her armor’s color.
“We’ll try our best!” Shiori also readies her weapon.
“Now then, CHARGE!!” They each let out war cry and charged the group, Yumi, meanwhile, stayed behind and pulled down the string of her red bow as the fire arrow was created from thin-air, she released the string, causing the arrow to hit the Noise at high speed and turned into red dust.
Kuriyo uses her Kendo skills to single-handedly destroy them until the group was completely wiped out, she sighed in relief and regroups with Shiori, who kept smashing the Noise with her weapon.
Sensing an Alca-Noise attempting to surprise attack her, Shiori strafed to the left, avoiding it’s attack, she then stabs the Noise after missing the attack.
Yumi jumped in and fires three arrows at once, successfully hitting three Noise.
“Looks like all that’s left is the big one.” Kuriyo comments at the large Alca-Noise charging at the same direction.
“Heh, it won’t be complete without the finishers and the monster of the week!” Yumi puts her determined smile.
“Should we try it?” Shiori asked Yumi.
“Of course! Let’s finish this.” With that, the girls used their remaining strength to finish the battle.
Shiori rushes at the Noise and unleashes a barrage of spear attacks, she charges her spear once more and finish off by stabbing the Noise. Next, Kuriyo aimed her sword at the Noise and releases a powerful beam straight to the chest.
Yumi draws the bow and charges the arrow with what she has left, making it more powerful than ever, Kuriyo and Shiori get away right before Yumi fires the arrow straight to it’s head.
They watched in satisfaction as the last Alca-Noise was defeated. Now, with the Noise wiped out, the girls sat down on a solid road and catches their breath.
“How does it feel girls?” Shin, who just got out of the car after the chaos, asked the exhausted trio.
“I feel….Powerful and Confident.” Yumi glanced at her hand and turned it into a fist “This power, while it’s very different compare to Symphogears, their purpose remains the same.”
“That’s what I want to hear.” Shin smiled and helps the girls stand up, but not before their armor quickly changes back to their civilian clothes.
The Stroganettes quickly noticed it but they don’t seem to mind.
He lowered his guard down, allowing Yumi to grab his collar shirt and gave him a sharp glare “Shin, can you explain what the heck is that and why is it stored within the bracelet that you gave us!” She had so many questions for me.
“At least let me go and I will answer the question.” Shin replied to her request.
Yumi pouted “Fine.” She lets go of her grip and sighed loudly, Shin, on the other hand, fixed his clothes, he cleared his throat and started speaking.
“Ladies, that armor you’re wearing is something SONG kept this a secret from Symphogear users until Genjuro and the SONG staff witness the latest project….” He raised his arms in excitement “The project involves creating a relic from the remnants of the legendary dragon!”
“It’s called Project Mechvaranus!!!”
