Lucifer was nervous. He was in his room standing in front of a mirror waiting for the moment he would marry the woman he loves. Amenadiel walked in. “Are you ready, brother?” Amenadiel asked.
“I’m really nervous,” Lucifer stated.
“I know you are. You’re about to marry the woman you truly love.” Lucifer took a deep breath.
“I love her so much. She made me better. She made me who I am. She made me who I want to be.” Amenadiel placed his hand on Lucifer’s shoulder.
“And now you want to spend the rest of eternity with her?”
“Of course I do. I already am spending eternity with her.”
“So get out there and make her the happiest woman in existence.” Lucifer smiled and he turned around. The door then opened and Maze walked in.
“Are you ready?” Maze asked.
“Absolutely.” Maze nodded and the three of them left the room and went to where the wedding was being held.
Meanwhile, Chloe was also nervous. She was in her room standing in front of a mirror waiting for the moment she would marry the man she loves. Penelope and Linda walked in. “How are you holding up?” Penelope asked.
“I’m really excited,” Chloe said whilst smiling.
“But also nervous?” Chloe nodded.
“I never thought this day would come. When I met Lucifer, I found him really annoying and look at me now. I’m about to marry him.”
“You two have come such a long way. And even after everything… you still manage to pull through and be together,” Linda stated. Chloe smiled.
“Ella would say it’s because Lucifer & I are the greatest. That we’re ‘Deckerstar,’ as she calls us.” Ella then knocked on the door. “Come in,” Chloe said. Ella opened the door.
“Are you ready?” Ella asked. Chloe nodded.
“Absolutely.”
“I am so proud of you Chloe,” Penelope said.
“Thanks mum,” Chloe said whilst give Penelope a hug.
Lucifer was standing at the end of the aisle waiting for the moment he would see the woman he loves walk down the aisle. Father Frank was standing in front of him. “Hello again father,” Lucifer said.
“Nice to see you again Lucifer. I’m glad to see that you’ve found your happiness.”
“Thank you.” The organ player began playing and everyone in the room stood up. Dan, Charlotte, Trixie, Rory and Carol were standing in front of their seats, Amenadiel was standing beside Lucifer whilst Ella, Linda, Maze & Eve were standing next to where Chloe will be standing when she gets to the end of the aisle. Chloe began walking down the aisle and she & Lucifer smiled at each other. When they got to the end, they held hands and everyone sat down.
“We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Lucifer Morningstar & Chloe Jane Decker,” Father Frank stated. Lucifer & Chloe looked at each other and smiled again. “Have you written vows?” They both nodded. Lucifer went first.
“Chloe, before I met you, I used to look down on humans and I wasn’t really interested in them. But then I met you and you made me see the world differently. Shortly after I met you, I said to Maze that you were fascinating and to this day… you still continue to amaze me. I also thought love was something I would never feel, so when I first felt it… I didn’t know what it was. It took me a while to realise that it was love. And, to be honest, I didn’t think anyone would ever love me, but you do. Even after you discovered the truth… you still love me. So that, how amazing you have made my life, the fact that you made me a better man and many other reasons… are why I love you. It took me some time to realise this, but I have always loved you and I will never stop loving you.” Tears were emerging from Chloe’s eyes as she was smiling. “And there is no one I would rather spend all of eternity with.”
“Chloe. Your turn.”
“Lucifer, my life changed massively when I met you. You made me a better detective and now in the afterlife… you make me a better therapist. Us being partners in every way… is what makes us us. I didn’t know what it was at first, but there was something about you that I saw and I couldn’t work out what it was. But then my feelings for you started to emerge and even after I discovered the truth, my love for you didn’t change, it only increased. And like Amenadiel said, I am the only human who sees you for who you truly are.” Everyone else in the room smiled. “I have loved you for so long and I will always love you.” Lucifer smiled.
“Amenadiel, the rings please.” Amenadiel handed Frank the rings and he then handed one to Lucifer and one to Chloe. Lucifer placed a ring on Chloe’s ring finger. “Do you Lucifer Morningstar, take Chloe Jane Decker to be your lawfully wedded wife?” Frank asked.
“I do,” Lucifer said, smiling. Chloe placed a ring on Lucifer’s ring finger.
“Do you, Chloe Jane Decker, take Lucifer Morningstar to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do,” Chloe said, smiling.
“Then by the power vested in me, I hereby pronounce you husband & wife. You may kiss the bride.” Lucifer & Chloe then kissed for the first time as husband & wife. A round of applause then erupted in the room. Everyone was clapping, plus Ella was cheering.
Lucifer & Chloe walked back down the aisle holding hands. Chloe then turned around and through the bouquet which Ella caught. Chloe then turned back around and she & Lucifer entered Chloe’s room. “We did it!” Chloe proclaimed as she hugged Lucifer. Lucifer smiled.
“Yes, yes we did.”
“How does it feel?” Chloe asked.
“Incredible!” Lucifer said. Chloe smiled as she put her arms around Lucifer.
“Husband & wife for all eternity” Chloe said.
“Exactly,” Lucifer stated. Chloe smiled.
After some kissing, they went to the reception where they ate and speeches were told. Shortly afterwards, the dancing began. “It’s time,” Lucifer said.
“For what?” Chloe asked.
“The dancing.” Lucifer held out his hand which Chloe took instantly and they took to the dance floor. Maze sang Wonderwall, Happy Together and Only You.
“Great choices,” Chloe said, smiling.
“Now it’s time for the final song,” Lucifer said as he walked up to the microphone and began to sing a slightly different version of Wicked Game. He sang the lines of the song and then he got to the slightly altered bit. He turned to face Chloe.
“I never thought that i’d meet somebody like you.” Chloe started smiling.
“And I never dreamed that i’d love somebody like you.” Chloe smiled more and tears of joy started to emerge from her eyes.
“Now I… have fallen in love… with you.” Lucifer finished the rest of the song. A round of applause then erupted. Lucifer walked over to Chloe.
“So that was the surprise…” Chloe said whilst smiling and crying tears of joy. “You were going to sing to me.”
“Of course, my love. Specifically, I wanted to sing three of those lines.” Chloe nodded knowing exactly which three Lucifer was referring to. “I never thought that i’d ever meet someone like you, I also never dreamed that i’d love somebody like you and finally, I fell in love with you,” Lucifer said. Chloe smiled.
“All three of those lines apply to me too,” Chloe said as she placed a hand on one of Lucifer’s cheeks. They then started kissing whilst the other couples in the room were dancing in the background. The other couples looked at Lucifer & Chloe dancing in the middle of the room and gave their thoughts whilst dancing to Frank playing the piano.
“Look at them,” Dan said.
“Yeah. Just like us when we got married up here,” Charlotte replied.
“I’m glad Lucifer & Chloe got their happiness,” Eve stated.
“Me too,” Maze said.
“Ever since I first met them, I knew they would be together,” Ella said.
“I like how you always look on the bright side of life,” Carol stated. Ella smiled.
Whilst everyone else was dancing and Penelope was having a drink, John walked over to Lucifer & Chloe to congratulate them. “I’m so proud of you Chloe,” John said.
“Thanks dad.” John then turned to Lucifer.
“I know what you’re going to say,” Lucifer said before John could say anything.
“I didn’t want to leave her. Nor did I have to. I wish I hadn’t. I wish I had stayed.” Lucifer turned to face Chloe. “We could’ve been happy.”
“I know we could’ve. And I would’ve preferred it if you had stayed.”
“It’s not what I was going to say,” John stated.
“Really? What were you going to say?”
“Thank you. Thank you for always being there with and for my daughter.” Lucifer smiled.
“You’re welcome.”
Rory was standing in the background and could see what Lucifer & Chloe were talking to John about and started to feel guilty. Trixie walked over. “He doesn’t blame you,” Trixie stated. Rory looked at Trixie.
“Yes he does. And he should. I took away their happiness.”
“Yes, you did. You also took away the only father figure I had left. But none of us hold that against you Rory.”
“I just wish I never made him leave. A better and happier Rory would exist instead of me.”
“Maybe. But it doesn’t matter to them anymore. They’re happy. All the time they lost on Earth… they’ve made up for that. I mean, they waited so long to have their wedding just so I could be here for it. 35 Earth years they had to wait. Which from their point of view was 50,540 years.”
“Dad had to wait over 50 thousand years to be with mum again? And then they had to wait another 50 thousand for their wedding?” Trixie nodded and Rory started crying. Trixie hugged Rory.
“I’m sorry sis. I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“It’s O.K. I just wish I hadn’t put them through the hell I put them through.” Chloe saw that Rory was crying and rushed over.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry for putting you & dad through that.”
“Rory, it’s O.K.” Chloe placed her hand on Rory’s shoulder. “Yes we had to wait a long time. But it was worth it.” Chloe hugged Rory and Trixie.
Eventually, everything was over and everyone went home. Lucifer & Chloe flew home and Lucifer carried Chloe through the door whilst she had her arms wrapped around him. “I’m so happy, I can’t word exactly how happy I am,” Lucifer stated. Chloe smiled.
“Me too.” Lucifer put Chloe down, they walked towards the centre of the room and they started dancing. Lucifer then started talking, whilst he & Chloe were dancing. “You know, a long time ago… I launched a rebellion against my father… and then I spent a long time in Hell regretting what I had done. But for some time, I haven’t regretted it at all…”
“Why not?” Chloe asked, curious.
“Because if I hadn’t, all the events that followed afterwards never would’ve come to pass. I would never have met you. Everything you taught me, everything your influence turned me into never would’ve happened. And finally, I would never be dancing in this room just after marrying the woman I fell in love with.” Chloe smiled. “That’s why meeting you is the greatest thing that ever happened to me.” Chloe smiled more and kissed Lucifer.
“Likewise.” They kissed again and went back to dancing. Afterwards, they went up to the penthouse and had sex.
In the morning, they woke up happy. “Good morning Chloe,” Lucifer said.
“Good morning…” Chloe responded.
“I’m never going to forget that. Yesterday was so amazing.”
“Me neither. I said to Linda that I never thought that that day would come.”
“I said something similar to Amenadiel. Like I said yesterday, you still continue to amaze me even now. I can’t imagine my life without you in it.” Chloe smiled.
“You changed my life so much that I can’t imagine you not being in my life either.”
“I love you Chloe.”
“I love you too Lucifer.” They smiled, kissed and had sex again.
About a week or so later, they returned to Hell to continue their work to liberate the souls. But regardless of whether they were in Hell doing their job, taking a break in Heaven or living in Heaven permanently after they finished their job in Hell, they continued to live happily in the afterlife forever.
