“Have you heard of the rumor?”
“Oh, you mean about the Yoo Couple?”
“Yes them!! I heard Duke Yoo bought an entire store for his husband!!”
“Oh my gosh?”
These days, the entire capital was upside down because of a single rumor. Tea parties between Aristocratic Ladies will not be complete without talking about the lovers of the century. Why wouldn’t it be popular?
Grand Duke Yoo Joonghyuk, the cold duke of the East who is the best groom in the empire and the first love of many unmarried young ladies is finally getting married to the prince of a small kingdom.
On the day that their marriage was announced, a lot of nobles and even empress Yoo Mia herself stormed his castle to talk the issue out but all they got is a message delivered through the butler saying:
“It’s my prince’s tea time. Please come back in another hour.”
The other displeased nobles grumbled as they left the manor. But Mia didn’t stand still. She rushed to the garden and found her brother.
Smiling.
Mia stumbled at the sight of her brother with his lover. Ever since their parents (the former Emperor and Empress) died, her brother engrossed himself in solidifying Mia’s absolute possession of the throne and him being the Grand Duke of the forgotten East.
At the very same time, Mia was relieved.
Finally, her brother will be happy.
She turned around, called the butler, and said,” Tell my brother that the ceremony will proceed the way he wanted to.”
'Love is patient. I, however, am not.'
Yoo Joonghyuk never believed in love at first sight. He believed that love is too shallow and doesn't have any basis. But he never thought he'll be a victim of one.
It was part of his daily routine to be sent off to neighboring countries to strengthen their alliance. As the most capable to do so, he was exposed to different people and ladies asked for his hand even outside of the kingdom. However, he never took notice of them. Not one bit.
But it was a different case for the Prince of the Eden Kingdom.
"Hello!" A cheerful yet clumsy greeting welcomed Joonghyuk. In front of him, a pale frail man wearing an incredibly shining garment extends his tiny hands.
Vassals and his aides internally screamed as Duke Yoo didn't answer immediately. Prince Kim is worried that the other party got offended, but luckily his shaking knees were hidden behind his white coat.
"Um, are you ok?" Kim Dokja asked, moving closer to the duke who is still as a mountain. Sensing it, Joonghyuk stepped back and turn his head the other way.
His face was red.
Joonghyuk's heart was beating wildly. He doesn't understand himself. Why does he feel absorbed into those dull black eyes of that prince? That tiny waist kept swaying back and forth, irritating the grumpy sunfish. His face was cute and small, his red lips red and plump.
What does it feel like to kiss and devore them?
Oh.
No way.
"I think I'm in love.”
Contrary to his expectations, his voice was well-heard by the people surrounding him, including the young prince.
"Huh?" Prince Kim screamed unexpectedly.
Kim Dokja admires handsome men. If you want to know HOW MUCH, well, he's an avid fan of romance novels and has a whole collection of every series that exists in the kingdom.
When he was summoned by King Hades and instructed to greet the famous duke of the empire, he was jumping up with joy. Of course, he has heard about how handsome the Duke of the Yoo Duchy is from the rumors but he wants to see it face-to-face.
On the day of the fated meeting, he dressed up more than usual. He doesn't want to mess up and embarrass his kingdom, but he also wants to impress the visitors. More precisely the Duke.
But Duke Yoo's face was too pretty to look at.
His heart pounded.
'This must be destiny.'
At that time, he decided to pester him during his stay.
'I'll be with you no matter what.'
“Joonghyuk-ah, are you not sleeping well these days?”
Today as well, his beautiful (but idiot) lover is looking at him with worried eyes. It has been days since he last slept to prepare for the grandest wedding that’ll make others envy him. They’re currently in the garden, walking around to admire the roses Kim Dokja loved.
“It’s nothing don’t worry. Anyways, do you like the flowers on your table?” Joonghyuk instead asked since he doesn’t want his lover to think of unnecessary things. Dokja's face lit up and answered, "It was really pretty!! Thank you, my love!!"
Ah.
'I should build a greenhouse.'
The squid just continues to talk about the loveliest things he found in the empire, not knowing what Joonghyuk is planning to do.
Oh well, it feels good to be showered with gifts right?
