Who's my baby?" Lisia asked Wally. "I am '' Wally responded with blushed squished cheeks. He is used to adults pampering him, it was another thing when Lisia was doing it. It was different when someone from his age group pampered him. It didn't help that he admired her desire to earn her fame without Wallace's help. Or her hard-working attitude. He felt like a nobody next to her! And yet still she chooses to hang out with him! Whenever they walked, he could see jealous bystanders glaring at him as he didn't belong right alongside Lisia. Oftentimes he would see others (mainly rich boys) attempt to woo Lisia with items and favors only for her to politely deny them and keep going along her way. He envied and admired that of her.
He felt like he had to do more, which is why he offered to pay for the food at Mauville City food court. They like to alternate who pays and it was thankfully his turn. His time at the Battle Maison earned him a lot of money. Turns out people were willing to pay a lot for vitamins and rare evolution items. The two were munching on some Whirlpool sushi they shared. They had agreed to try out the new alola-themed restaurant in the food court.
“Your parents gave you permission to come with me?!” Lisia said as she beamed. Lisia planned to go to the Sinnoh region to see Coordinator Jasmine and Coordinator Fantina. Wally nodded, feeling the excitement glow from Lisia.
“So I was planning to go to the Sinnoh region to see Coordinator Jasmine and Fantina. Would you like to come with me?” Lisia said after munching on some Whirlpool sushi they shared. They had agreed to try out the new alola-themed restaurant in the food court. “Yep. It would be a great opportunity to visit their Battle Frontier. Plus it would be nice to see Cynthia again”. Wally said casually. Lisia shook the table in shock, “Cynthia?! You know the Sinnoh Champion Cynthia!”. There was a moment of silence before Wally responded. “Yeah, I met here in Alola at the battle tree.”, Wally responded meekly. " She's really nice. It was nice to chat with her", Red didn’t like to talk and Blue tend to stick to Red like glue.
They mostly just talked their experiences with their pokemon, sharing stories from when their starter pokemon were still unevolved. Like how her garchomp loved to playfully nibble on Cynthia's head back as a gible (Her garchomp seemingly overheard this as her garchomp playfully nibbled on her head just to prove a point.) And Wally's ralts was so small Wally would hug like it a stuffed animal. Now Gallade wants to return the favor, with him carrying Wally around whenever it so desires.)
"It's settled! Let's go see Cynthia!" "Oh I can't wait to see her." Lisia was shaking her feet in excitement. "Allright. I'm not sure if I'll be interesting company." Wally responded meekly. "You might be better off bringing Brendan or May."
Wally flinched as Lisia cupped her hands on Wally's cheeks in a gentle manner. He could feel his cheeks reddening. “If I wanted to invite them. I would have already done it. Wally, you are a great person to be around and you need to remember that. There's a reason why Cynthia hangs with you, and there's a reason why you were chosen to be at that Battle Tree. I’ll make sure you remember this." Their faces were so close to each other, Wally could feel her breath touch his skin.
In a rare feat of strength and bravery. Wally then cupped Lisia's cheeks in a similarly gentle manner. Closing his eyes, he shouted "Thank you Lisia, I wish to do the same for you. I love spending time with you and I wish to make you happy." He opened his eyes to see a blushing Lisia and an audience watching the two of them hold each other with interested gazes.
