Chapter Text
Elizabeth Luthor, often referred to as Lizzie, has a petite and delicate appearance, with short, blonde hair and bright, expressive brown eyes that seem to sparkle when she smiles. She carries herself with a certain level of guardedness and wariness, as if always ready for an attack. She tends to flinch or withdraw at sudden movements or loud noises.
Jonathan Kent would say that she has a classic beauty and that he believes that she had a difficult past, despite her wealthy family, which made her wary of people.
Her bubbly and effervescent demeanor is often a mask to hide her inner turmoil and fear. She is intelligent and accomplished in her field of work as a neuroradiologist, but has a tendency to downplay her achievements and undervalue herself.
Lizzie also struggles with self-esteem issues due to the years of emotional and physical abuse she has suffered. She often finds it difficult to trust others and to believe in her own worth.
Furthermore, she is kind and caring, with a gentle and nurturing spirit that makes her an excellent listener and friend. She has a good hart and a strong moral compass, and she strives to do what is right, even in the face of adversity.
…………………………………………………….
Lizzie Luthor sat in the brainstorming meeting, trying her best to focus on the discussion at hand. However, her attention was quickly drawn to Dr. Jonathan Kent, the neurosurgeon with strikingly blue eyes and an air of confidence that reminded her of Superman.
It is funny because there is a rumor that Superman is a doctor, but Jonathan Kent could not be the famous superhero. He is too young for it. Superman is a father and Superboy is a living prove of it. Plus, Superboy is not Jonathan, because the young hero has curly black hair.
Lizzie could not avoid thinking that Jonathan Samuel Kent, or simply Jon, is a tall and strikingly handsome man, with a strong and defined jawline, piercing blue eyes, and short, ash-blonde hair styled in a messy yet fashionable way. He has a toned and muscular build, which is evident from the way his clothes fit him. Jon has a certain charm and charisma about him that is apparent from the moment he enters a room, and he can easily light up any social setting with his presence.
Prior to becoming a neurosurgeon, Jon was a promising NFL star, but he decided to leave the sport to pursue his true passion for medicine. His dedication and hard work have paid off, as he has become a well-known doctor in the field of neurosurgery, highly respected by his colleagues and patients.
As one of Lois Lane's twins, Jon is known for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and his friendly nature makes him very approachable. Jon is a true gentleman, always respectful and kind to others, and he has a reputation for being a reliable and trustworthy friend. He is kind to everyone but Lizzie.
Despite the long-standing feud between their families, Lizzie couldn't help but be distracted by Jon's presence. She tried to ignore her feelings, reminding herself that getting involved with Kent would only bring trouble. She keeps thinking: “Do not even think about it! It Is trouble!”. But whenever Jon looked at her, Lizzie felt a flutter in her chest. She was almost certain that he knew how she felt, and it made her even more nervous.
Lizzie couldn't help but feel conflicted about her attraction to him, knowing that getting involved with a Kent would only bring trouble. But she couldn't shake the feeling that he might be interested in her, and it made her even more nervous. She tried to convince herself that he couldn't be interested in a Luthor, but deep down, she couldn't ignore the flutter in her chest whenever he looked at her.
As the meeting began, Jon and Lizzie both took their seats at the conference table, making sure to sit as far away from each other as possible. However, their eyes kept darting back and forth, and they couldn't help but sneak glances at each other when they thought no one was looking.
When the presenter started to discuss the case, Lizzie immediately spoke up, "That's not entirely accurate. The MRI showed a completely different picture than what's being presented."
Jon smirked and leaned back in his chair, "Always trying to prove me wrong, Lizzie. I suppose that's just how you show your affection."
Lizzie rolled her eyes, "As if I would show affection to a Kent. It's not in a Luthor's nature."
Jon chuckled, "Yet you're always trying to one-up me. It's like you're trying to impress me or something."
Lizzie bristled, "I would never try to impress you, Kent. You're not even close to being impressive."
"Oh boy, it's the Luthor-Kent feud all over again," commented another doctor in the room. "You'd think they'd have learned to get along by now."
Their bickering continued throughout the meeting, with each trying to outdo the other with their knowledge and skills.
After some time, Lizzie found herself lost in Jon eyes.
“Dra. Luthor, do you have any input on the diagnosis?” Jon asked, interrupting Lizzie thoughts about him.
“Sorry, what did you say?” She asked, flustered.
“I asked if you had any input on the diagnosis?”, he repeated, a slight smile playing on his lips.
And then, Lizzie felt that they started again to play out their game. His blond brows were down in a scowl.
Lizzie looked up, smiled, and answered him.
"Lizzie, do you ever plan to listen to these meetings?" Jon asked, a smirk on his face.
"Maybe if you were more interesting, I would," Lizzie replied, rolling her eyes.
Their colleagues exchanged knowing looks and a few chuckles at their banter.
"Alright, alright," the chief of staff interjected, trying to redirect the meeting back on track. "Let's focus, people."
Jon and Lizzie both managed to stay focused for a few more minutes, but eventually, Jon couldn't resist making another comment.
"Are you still not paying attention?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Maybe I need to make the topic more interesting for you."
Lizzie glared at him before replying, "Don't flatter yourself, Kent. I can multitask."
As the meeting progressed, Jon and Lizzie continued to bicker, each trying to prove their point and outdo the other. But beneath their playful banter, there was a clear sense of chemistry and attraction.
Their colleagues watched with amusement, enjoying the dynamic between them. It was no secret that Jon and Lizzie had a history of teasing each other, but it was equally clear that there was something more there.
Lizzie lost herself in Jon's bright blue eyes, strong jawline, and charming smile. She couldn't help but feel drawn to him, even as they argued about medical procedures and treatment plans.
Jon, too, was finding it hard to focus on the meeting, as he found himself distracted by Lizzie's fiery spirit and quick wit. He loved the challenge of their arguments, even as he found himself wanting to pull her close and kiss her senseless.
Finally, the meeting came to an end, and Jon and Lizzie both stood up to leave. As they made their way to the door, their colleagues watched with knowing smiles, happy to see the two of them together.
And as they walked out of the conference room, Lizzie couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to finally give in to the attraction she felt for Jon. He made her feel strong and confident, even as he challenged her in every way.
Jon, too, couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to be close to Lizzie, to feel her soft skin against his and taste her sweet lips.
As they left the meeting room, Jon and Lizzie exchanged a look that spoke volumes. They might fight and bicker, but deep down, they knew they loved each other and couldn't resist the attraction that drew them together.
……………………….
Lizzie was lost in thought, sipping her coffee in her office when a familiar voice interrupted her daydream.
"What were you doing there? As usual, you were not paying attention to the case," Jon said, flashing his charming smile.
Lizzie couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"This is not true. I was paying attention. I could contribute to the diagnosing process," she replied, sticking her tongue out at him playfully.
Just as they were getting into their usual banter, they were interrupted by none other than Lois Lane, Jon's mother. Lizzie felt her heart skip a beat as she took in Jon's mother's stunning features. She tried to play it cool and smiled at the woman, hoping she didn't look too star-struck.
Lizzie could tell that Lois Lane was not happy with me and that she was trying to figure them out, especially what relationship her son has with Luthor’s girl.
Lois watched the exchange between Jon and Lizzie with a furrowed brow. She knew the Luthors well enough to be wary of their intentions, especially when it came to their interactions with her son. She had to admit that there was something between Jon and Lizzie, something that seemed to go beyond a simple professional relationship. But she wasn't sure if it was a good thing.
Getting out of his stupor for his mother presence, Jon said: “Hi, mom! I did not know you were coming¡”.
“Hi sweetie. I had to talk to you about a paper I am writing and they said I would find you here”. Lois said this looking straight at Lizzie.
“Mother, this is Elizabeth Luthor; she is a neuroradiologist here. Lizzie, this is my mom, Lois Lane”. Jonathan presented them.
Lizzie knew Lois, like everyone, was wondering about the tension between her and Jon, but she couldn't blame them.
Their conversation was cut short by the arrival of Lizzie's brother, Alexander.
As Alexander barged in, Lois couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She had heard rumors about his misdeeds and his ambition to become the next president. She knew that he had a penchant for manipulating people and situations to his advantage.
Lois couldn't help but wonder if Lizzie was the best fit for her son. She was from the Luthor family, after all. But then again, Jon was a grown man and could make his own decisions. Lois just hoped that he knew what he was getting himself into.
Alexander did not greet Jon and Lois, that leave her office, after Jon looked at her concern. Lizzie event tried to smile to him to show, without words, that it would be okay. That she would be safe.
This assurance was necessary. Jon would not leave Lizzie alone with Alexander if he had a word about it. They hate each other for real since their graduation.
Furthermore, Jon once saw bruises on her arm that Alexander grabbed. Considering this episode, he believed Lizzie is a domestic violence victim. She didn't tell him that it was true, but he somehow knew it.
After they left Lizzie’s office, Lois turned to Jon with a stern look. "Jonathan, be careful around the Luthors. I don't trust them. And I'm not sure if Lizzie is the right fit for you."
Jon gave his mother a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Mom. I know what I'm doing."
Lois sighed, knowing that she couldn't control her son's actions. But as a mother, she couldn't help but worry.
Meanwhile, Lizzie’s heart sank as she heard Alexander's voice filled with hate and prejudice. As he ranted about his obsession with Superman, Superboy, and Supergirl, Lizzie tried her best to tune him out. It was a defense mechanism she had developed after years of being subjected to his vengeful outbursts. She knew that arguing with him was futile and only put her in more danger.
Alexander's body language was aggressive, and his tone was menacing. He moved around the room with a sense of entitlement and superiority, making Lizzie feel small and vulnerable.
Her mind was brought back to reality when Alexander asked, "Will you help me?" His tone indicated that it wasn't a request but a demand.
"I will not," Lizzie replied firmly, even though she had no idea what he was talking about. It never boded well when Alexander asked for her help.
Just as the tension in the room was reaching its peak, a nurse entered and announced that Lizzie was needed in surgery. She breathed a sigh of relief as she left the room, knowing that she needed to thank Dr. Kent for his saving.
But even as she walked out of the office, Lizzie couldn't shake the feeling of unease that came with being around Alexander. She needed to pay closer attention to his words and actions, so she could report him if needed. As she walked down the hallway, Lizzie couldn't help but wish that she had the bravery of her aunt Lena. She always felt paralyzed in Alexander's presence.
Lizzie couldn't shake off the feeling of discomfort that came with Alexander's presence. He made her feel vulnerable and exposed, like he had the power to destroy her life at any moment. She didn't trust him, and she was sure that he didn't care about her well-being.
As she made her way to the operating room, Lizzie's thoughts were interrupted by the comments of a fellow doctor.
"Oh boy, it's the Luthor-Kent feud every meeting," the doctor said with a chuckle. "I swear, those two can argue about anything. It's like watching a tennis match."
Lizzie rolled her eyes, not in the mood for small talk. She knew that the rivalry between the Luthors and the Kents was well-known in the hospital, and she hated being associated with it. She wanted to be judged on her own merits, not her family name.
But even as she thought that, Lizzie couldn't help but feel drawn to Jon. She was both attracted and repulsed by him, his presence both comforting and unnerving. She knew that getting involved with him would only lead to trouble, but she couldn't help but want him.
As she scrubbed in for surgery, Lizzie tried to push her thoughts aside and focus on the task at hand. She couldn't afford to be distracted, not when someone's life was in her hands.
The surgery went well, and Lizzie was pleased with the outcome. She knew that it was a team effort, but she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in her work. It was moments like these that made her forget about everything else, the fear, and the pain.
As she walked out of the operating room, Lizzie's mind went back to Alexander's words. She knew that she needed to be careful, that Alexander was not to be trusted. She wished that she had the courage to stand up to him, but she felt powerless in his presence.
Lizzie made her way to the break room, hoping to clear her head and get some coffee. But as she opened the door, she was met with the last person she wanted to see.
"Going somewhere?" Alexander asked, blocking the door with his body.
Lizzie's heart rate increased, and she felt a surge of panic. She knew that she was in trouble, that she needed to get away from him.
"I need to get some coffee," Lizzie said, trying to keep her voice steady. "Excuse me."
But Alexander didn't move, and Lizzie felt her anxiety rise.
"I need to talk to you," Alexander said, his tone cold and menacing. "And I don't think you're going anywhere." His body language was tense, as if he as on the brink of exploding. Lizzie had seen him like this before, and it always led to trouble.
He paced back and forth in the break room, his hands clenching and unclenching as he spoke: “You will help me. You are the only one who can do this”.
Lizzie tried her best to remain calm, but she knew that giving in to Alexander's demands would only make things worse. "I can't help you, Alexander. You know that."
His face twisted in anger as he took a step closer to her. "You will help me, Lizzie. Or else."
Lizzie took a step back, feeling her heart rate increase. She knew that Alexander had a history of violence, and she didn't want to be on the receiving end of it again. "I can't, Alexander. I won't put myself in danger for your sake."
As the tension in the room continued to mount, Lizzie's mind raced, trying to think of a way out of the situation. She knew that she couldn't reason with Alexander, that he was beyond rational thought.
And then, suddenly, the door opened, and Jon walked in, his eyes scanning the room. Lizzie felt a wave of relief wash over her, and she knew that she was safe.
"Is everything okay?" Jon asked, his eyes locking onto Alexander's. Lizzie breathed a sigh of relief, grateful for the interruption. As Jon walked into the break room and saw Lizzie with her brother Alexander, his expression immediately shifted to one of concern. He knew that Alexander was a volatile and dangerous person, and he didn't want Lizzie to be caught in the crossfire.
"Everything's fine," Alexander said, his tone clipped. As Alexander watched Jon enter the break room, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anger and frustration. He knew that Jon had always been a thorn in his side, ever since their time in university. Jon was always there to call out Alexander's bad behavior and demand that he face the consequences of his actions.
Alexander was also keenly aware of Jon's feelings towards Lizzie. He knew that Jon had a soft spot for her, and he despised the fact that a Kent would have any connection to a Luthor.
As he watched Jon approach Lizzie, Alexander felt a surge of anger. He knew that Jon was trying to protect Lizzie, and it made him feel even more resentful towards the Kent family.
Jon, on the other hand, could see the tension in the air, and he knew that something was wrong. Jon's eyes darted to Lizzie, and he could see the fear in her expression. He couldn't help but feel a pang of anger towards Alexander for making Lizzie feel this way. But he also knew that he needed to keep his cool and not escalate the situation further.
"Come on, Lizzie," Jon said, taking her by the arm. "Let's get out of here."
As they walked out of the break room, Lizzie couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that Alexander wouldn't give up that easily. He had a way of getting what he wanted, no matter the cost.
Lizzie, also, couldn't help but feel grateful for Jon's presence. She knew that he had saved her, that he had once again been her knight in shining armor.
But even as she felt a surge of emotion, couldn't help but feel conflicted about her feelings towards Jon. On the one hand, she was drawn to him and the chemistry between them was undeniable. On the other hand, she was afraid of getting involved with a Kent, especially with the Luthor-Kent feud that had been going on for years. She didn't want to put herself in danger, or worse, hurt Jon in the process.
……………………………………..
Lois stormed into the farm, looking frustrated. Clark looked up from his computer and greeted his wife with a smile.
"Hey, babe. What's up?" he asked.
"I just saw Jon with Lizzie Luthor," Lois replied, her voice tinged with worry.
Clark's expression turned serious. "What happened?"
"I don't know, it just seemed... off. They were together in her office, and then Jon introduced me to her. But there was something in the way he looked at her, like he was trying to hide something," Lois explained.
Clark leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "Do you think there's something going on between them?"
"I don't know. It's possible, but I hope not," Lois said, shaking her head. "I just can't shake this feeling that the Luthors are up to something, and I don't want Jon to get caught up in it."
Clark nodded in understanding. "I know what you mean. But we have to trust Jon to make his own decisions. Lois, we had a long way to trust him again after xk and building a better relationship. We should be careful to not broke this."
"I know, I know," Lois said, running a hand through her hair. "But it's hard not to worry. Especially with Alexander lurking around, and all the rumors about the Luthor family."
Clark stood up and walked over to Lois, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I get it. But we can't let our fears control us. We have to be vigilant, but we also have to give Jon the benefit of the doubt. He deserves that much."
Lois sighed, feeling a bit calmer. "You're right. I just hope I'm wrong about all of this."
Clark smiled reassuringly. "We'll keep an eye on things, don't worry. And if anything happens, we'll be there for Jon."
Lois nodded, feeling grateful for her partner's support. "Thanks, Clark. You always know how to make me feel better."
Clark grinned. "That's what I'm here for."
