Notes:
Thank you for reading! Sorry for the very short introduction chapter I'm not sure where to start! I'll post more in-depth backstories at some point in the near future for my characters. Also, I'm starting school so my updates will be slow and inconsistent so I'm really sorry!
Chapter 2: Moonlit nights
Summary:
Diana is an RSA student and is based off of lady from lady and the tramp. I don’t know why I wrote this but I did.
Notes:
Sorry I didn’t update this for like two months I’ve been busy with my senior project (which is writing based) and I rarely get to work on my other ocs. Also im sorry if this is bad or doesn’t make sense I wrote this at like 11pm while melatonin was kicking in and I read it over once and edited once so it’s probably not great but anyways Enjoy!

Chapter Text
She was almost frantic as she scrambled from where she was sitting and almost ran to the balcony where the dark sky draped over the once bright blue one, stars sparkling gently and the moon hanging in the sky beautifully. Diana looked at the sky in awe, she'd seen millions of starry nights and she'd be willing to see a million more if it meant getting such a breathtaking view. She continued to stare at the stars, looking for constellations or even planets. Kalim walked next to her, looking at the stars with her, "so spotted any constellations?" He asked. She looked at him with the brightest smile, she looked even more beautiful in the moonlight, she nodded her head. "Yes, I have!" She chirped with joy as she pointed to the sky and named off constellations and even told Kalim about the myths and legends some of them came from. Such passion and joy filled her eyes as she rambled, Kalim listening, admiring every word she spoke as if it were poetry. As she finished talking she faced him, a smile still on her face, "I'm sorry I talked for so long," she said sheepishly, "I just like the stars." She fidgeted with her hands as, "There's no need to apologize!" Kalim said cheerfully, almost catching her off guard, "I like listening to talk about what you're passionate about!" That one sentence made her heart swell, she was happier than before, and she hugged him. He hugged her back, squeezing her and lifting her off the ground a little bit making her laugh a little bit. Once he placed her down again, they looked at one another. "She looks so beautiful in the moonlight," Kalim thought as he looked at her, the stars adding the slightest bit of light to her deep blue eyes, and the moonlight brought out her features. She looked at Kalim whose smile still seemed to hold the sun's light, and his amber eyes seemed to gently glow in the moonlight. Before a word could be spoken between the two Kalim bent down just slightly to kiss Diana. His lips gently placed upon hers, and all time seemed to stop as she kissed him back. As their lips parted he placed his forehead on hers, holding her hands. "You're so smart and so pretty," he said with a grin. She giggled, not knowing what to say but squeezing his hands to let him know that she appreciates his kind words. His compliments held more meaning to her than anyone else's, they felt more genuine than others, and they were more genuine. The two stood on the balcony for a bit before heading back inside, Kalim still holding her hand, squeezing it slightly, as she smiled back doing the same, and resting her head on his shoulder as they walked back inside.
Notes:
Thank you for reading this! Again I’m sorry if it’s bad I wrote this when I should’ve been asleep lol
Chapter 3: A new past
Summary:
A piece of Diana’s backstory
This was written in 10 minutes while listening to Emotions by Brenda Lee
Notes:
Yes this is another Diana based story. Why not. And also sorry not posting for like 3 months I was depressed and overwhelmed with school. I’m on my last week-ish of winter break and decided to post so here. It’s currently 1am as of posting this and I’m extremely tired and on my anxiety meds with is very odd but whatever. I’m back for now so enjoy the angst.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Diana is this very happy, sweet person and she truly is. Although she’s the daughter of a well know and ,well rich, family. Seemingly she’s had a good life since she has, she’ll never say she hasn’t, it’s just how can one know how good they’ve had it when something has felt like it’s been missing their whole lives? How could one even know what it is? Her parents were always present but very busy so she was left in the hands of nannies who dotted on her since she was a baby. She always felt loved it’s true but, as selfish as it was, she wanted just a bit of parents love but it never truly bothered her or at least that’s what she’ll say. Even when such thoughts brought pain to her heart and tears to her eyes she’d always hear, “now dear it isn’t pleasant when you cry you can’t let your emotions consume you?” or something along those lines. What was bad about her emotions anyways? Why were they looked upon with such shame and disgust? Yet she never showed emotions that were viewed in such away. Leading her dancing her problems and tears away, leading to her favorite hobby, dancing.
Notes:
I hope you enjoyed that even if it isn’t that good since it’s like 1am lol
Chapter 4: Rage
Summary:
An alternate plot line I had from a while back. The build up to Milo’s overblot.
Milo is based off of Lock from Nightmare before Christmas (second year).
Notes:
I wrote this in 20 minutes and didn’t edit it so I’m sorry if it’s trash! This was written while I was listening to Step on Me by the Cardigans.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Anger. No, anger wasn’t even the word Milo could even use to describe how he felt towards Valentino, maybe rage was closer. Every time he look at his dorm leader rage bubbled under his chest, threatening to explode more and more as time went on. This rage was one that wasn’t so easily described but one that, as unfamiliar as it was to him, slowly consumed him. Milo felt like he wasn’t acknowledged enough, seen enough, valued enough by his dorm leader. Only being used. His kindness being trampled on and used for the benefit of someone else, this time with someone he almost looked up to. It felt like the kindness that he once held towards Valentino, almost as if he hadn’t learned his lesson from the other “friends” years prior. Yet his kindness was taken advantage of. The years of similar treatment that had been pushed aside in his mind had finally taken its toll. Justified? Maybe his rage was justified in his eyes. After years of awful treatment by people he trusted and looked up to, perhaps he felt like it was right.
Notes:
My first post of 2023!!! WOOO! Happy New Years!!!
Chapter 5: Sleepless nights
Summary:
I wrote this like 3 months ago so yeah don’t judge how bad this is I felt like posting it. Ophelia is a third year in Octavinelle, she’s 19, and based off of Captain Amelia from treasure planet (currently editing her character this was before the current edits of her) so yeah enjoy!
Notes:
This is an oc x canon chapter with Leona because why not. I might regret posting this in the morning but who knows!
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Exhaustion hit her body. Working at the mostró lounge all afternoon was tiring not just physically but mentally as well. Having to not only serve many people the second school lets out barely even having a chance to change into the dorm uniform but also having to deal with the constant noise, yelling, laughing, etc while on shift. She never enjoyed work like this. As she held her hand on the door knob to her dorm one of the twins walked up to her. “Ah Ophelia,” Jade said. “What is it now?” She thought. “Hello, Jade. What seems to be the matter?” She asked trying to appear not exhausted. “There’s been some problems with multiple students dorms,” he said. “You’re fucking kidding me.” “Really? What a shame.” She sighed. “What are the issues?” Ophelia asked. Jade listed off the issues which it seemed odd that a dorm that was so well put together and rarely had issues of such an extreme had so many problems happen at once. “So I’m afraid you’ll need to stay somewhere else for tonight while we fix the problems,” Jade said with a smile, like always. “Alright,” Ophelia said as she pulled her phone to see who would be willing to let her stay the night while her dorm was being repaired. Before she could even choose someone to text a notification popped up. It was from Ruggie.
Ruggie: So I heard about the problem about your dorm. That must suck.
Odd. This just happened and he already knows about it?
Me: Yes it does.
Me: how did you know about it exactly?
Ruggie: I was at the mostró lounge not too long ago and I happened to overhear Jade and Azul talking about the repair costs.
Me: I see.
What’s he getting at? Does he want something?
Ruggie: Do you need a place to stay?
There it is.
Me: Yes I do. I’m perfectly fine sharing a room and sleeping on the floor if that’s all you have available.
Ruggie: I’ll see what we have. Start heading over!
Me: Ok
“Well at least I have someplace to stay,” She thought to herself as she grabbed a spare uniform for the next day and a spare t-shirt and pants before heading to the Savanaclaw dorms.
As she walked out of the mirror leading to Octavinelle she was greeted by Ruggie. “Hey Ophelia!” He said with a giggle like he always did. “Hello Ruggie!” She said with a smile. “Thank you for letting me stay at such short notice,” She said as the two walked through the Savanaclaw mirror. “It’s no problem! Besides you’ve bailed me out of trouble a few times and managed to get me free meals from the mostró lounge,” he replied. “I did I did,” she chuckled as the made it to the dorm lounge. “Here wait a sec,” Ruggie said before rushing off. Ophelia shrugged as she went on her phone. A few moments later Ruggie came rushing back “Ok! Follow me!” He said. She assumed nothing of it and she was only getting more and more tired by the minute.
“Here!” He said gesturing to Leona’s room. “Wait is this-“ “Leona’s room? Yep!” She didn’t really know what to say she was shocked that this was her option. “I’ll just sleep on floor or something,” she said as she walked into his room. “No you’re not,” Leona said appearing in the doorway almost giving her a heart attack. “I’m fine with sleeping on the floor for one night.” She said facing him before turning back around to set her spare uniform and pajamas down “it’s not the first I’ve done that.” She said. Leona rolled his eyes. “You’re not sleeping on the floor, got that?” She looked at him, feel beyond tired and just wanting to sleep at that point and didn’t feel like fighting, she sighed “fine.” As she turned away from the two and plopped down face first onto Leona’s bed. “Bathroom is down the hall to the left by the way,” Leona said before leaving, Ophelia gave him a thumbs up.
She had dozed for a couple hours before waking up. It was night. She got up from the bed and walked to the door way to peer over to view the lounge. “My that’s pretty” Ophelia muttered looking at the small waterfall now illuminated in such a way where it wasn’t too bright or too harsh on her tired eyes. After a moment of gazing into the water she turned back into the room she realized she was still in her dorm uniform. She quickly changed into the pajamas she brought and folded her uniform and placed it on Leona’s desk. “Hmm, tidier than normal,” she muttered as she got back into bed and falling asleep the second her head hit the pillow.
Once more she awoke. This time she walked down to the lounge just to stare at the water. Only the sound of the water was heard. “What are you still doing up?” Leona asked making Ophelia jump from the sudden break of silence. “I woke up again,” she said starting back at the water. Leona noticed the dark circles under her eyes her darker as of lately, the fire in eyes had dimmed slightly, the life and joy that she once radiated was muted. “I think I’m going head back now,” she said awkwardly as she stood up. “Alright,” Leona said crossing his arms. She gave a small smile before returning to his room. His heart felt like it skipped a beat for moment. Her smiles were warm and tender, he’d wish to see her more often.
She’d settled into the bed same as before but found it difficult to fall back asleep. She tossed and turned but just couldn’t sleep. She considered going back down to the lounge again before hearing a gentle knock on the doorway. “Ah so you are still awake,” Leona said with a smile, the smile that made Ophelia’s heart race. “Heh yeah,” she chuckled “I just can’t seem to sleep tonight.”
Leona sat beside her on the bed. “Would it help if I were here?” He asked, the question made her cheeks grow warm. “It’s fine if not,” his voice seeming gentler. “Yeah maybe,” she replied. He pulled the covers gesturing for her to move over. They lay backs to each other, not touching, but close enough to feel the warmth of each other.
She strangely felt better now that there was someone with her. More comfortable.
The next morning she woke up in Leona’s arms as he was sleeping. She admired how beautiful he was and how careful his touch was even while asleep. It almost seemed like her heart skipped a beat. She gently rested her head on his his chest and drifting back to sleep even as the sun rose above them.
Notes:
Last post of the night! Will I post again after this? Who knows!
Chapter 6: Rainy days
Summary:
Another short chapter but with Vivian! Vivian is based off of Emily from corpse bride (second year).
Chapter Text
Rain. Such a peaceful thing. Vivian was always fond of rainy days. The days where the thunder rumbled in the distance and the rain could be heard all around. And the crisp smell of it always felt so nostalgic to her. She’d open the windows so she could stick her head in the rain, feeling the drops dampen her hair, her shoulders. She’d sometimes stay there long enough to where to she could feel the water drip off of her hair onto her skin and she’d watch the water drip from her bangs onto her nose and drip down to her sleeves. She smiled looking at the gray skies. On days like this she seemed to be more at peace and just happier. Days that seemed unhappy to others brought so much joy to her. She would she run out in the rain and stay there until the rain stopped, enjoying the quiet the rain brought with it, but she couldn’t, she wasn’t able to. And yet she was never too unhappy with that. Vivian enjoyed the rainy weather from the window, soaking her dress in the process. She didn’t care because she was happy and, for once, she felt like the child never got to be.
Notes:
I might make some longer chapters soon but idk yet.
Chapter 7: Nostalgic memories
Summary:
A nostalgic memory for Anastasia
Anastasia is based off of Aurora from sleeping beauty
Notes:
Sorry if this isn’t written well I wrote it while very tired and very sick. So I apologize.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
The sun shining through the branches of the trees, the delicate sound of the birds singing, and water gentle sound of water ripples, such a peaceful place and such a vast place for a child. The sound of children’s laughter carried through the trees, the rustling of brushes as the children ran laughing without a care in the world. The games of pretend that the two played for hours leaving them out of breath, muddy but happy and leaving them with memories they’d cherish all of their lives. They played until the sun had begun it’s decent behind the mountains, painting the sky beautiful shades of orange, yellow, pink and purple. Anastasia looked back on that memory quite fondly. Who knew that she’d still look at memory from when she was a child so fondly. She still remembered the boy she befriended in the woods that day. That day that she’d remember for years to come. She often wonders who he is and how he is doing. The boy with white-silver hair, that seemed so familiar to her.
Notes:
I apologize again for the poor writing. I’m currently sick at the moment and catching up on school work so I won’t be post again so don’t be surprised if I disappear suddenly.
Chapter 8: Sick day
Summary:
Ciel has fallen ill
Ciel is based off of the 2021 Cruella because why not.
Notes:
I’m still sick and that’s kinda why I wrote this and yeah. For once it’s something not romantic (I’ve been writing romance stories for the past few days).
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Illness. What a dreadful thing. The sniffling, sneezing, fever, sore throat and worst of a cough that has stripped away, what Ciel says, his beautiful voice. Stuck in his bed with a fever and a temper. Snapping at people who are in his room for too long. Wrapped up in blankets as he lays with his back to the door, not in the mood or state to talk with others. In his almost delirious state he tries to do things to keep himself busy like he normally would but is constantly stopped by dizziness or a coughing fit, so everything he wants to do is forced to be pushed to the side to be dealt with at a later date. Left in bed scrolling endlessly through social media and eventually succumbing to sleep. Hours later he was awoken to a knock on his bed room door. As he lifted his head he saw the figure of his uncle, Crewl. He walked to the foot of Ciel’s bed, giving his nephew a sympathetic look. Ciel would’ve given a snide remark but instead he felt more like a child. Ciel crawled to the end of the bed and rested his head on Crewl’s shoulder, while his uncle rubbed his shoulders as a way to show sympathy and affection. It was the first time that Ciel had let anyone get close to him that day. Ciel felt like such a child but for once he was ok with this feeling. He began to ramble on about many things all at once in his Crewl was like another parent to him and he felt safe and now was growing tired once again. As he drifted off into sleep once again Crewl moved Ciel and tucked him into bed as he gently stroked his head before turning off the light and leaving the room and closing the door behind him, leaving Ciel to rest.

Chapter Text
Rain. Though most didn’t give a second thought to it or found it as an inconvenience, not to Diana. She found comfort in it. If given the chance she’ll be found dancing in it with a smile on her face. Even when drenched to the bone, shaking from the cold, she’ll still be wearing the biggest smile. The second she heard the rain hit the window pane, next thing you know she’s out the door. You’d have to hold her back to prevent her from going outside and that might not even do anything. “You’ll get a cold!” Opal said, holding her back by the arm. “I don’t care!” Diana shouted wiggling free from her friend’s grasp. She giggled as she ran free down the halls and out into the rain. The cool drops pouring from the sky hitting her skin, dampening her hair and clothes. She couldn’t help but laugh a bit. There was something so freeing about it. She was used to being forbidden from going out in the rain to prevent her from ruining her nice clothes in the mud or dragging it in and ruining the floors. But at school? That worry felt muted. Though at times it would ring in the back of her head, the rain washed the feeling away. She would dance and run and be a bit of a child as she enjoyed the wet weather. By the time she went back inside her once perfectly curled hair hung loose in her face, her dress was dripping and stuck to her skin. She stood in the doorway shivering slightly, muddy shoes in hand. “Hey Opal,” she said with a smile. Opal stood there with a towel in hand. “Oh dear,” Opal sighed as she gave Diana the towel “I’m fine! And I didn’t even track mud in this time!” Diana chirped pointing to the mostly clean floor, aside from the water she had tracked in. Opal nodded slightly noticing the mud on Diana’s shoes, “At least she makes an effort to not cause such a mess.” Opal thought closing the door behind Diana. She rarely ever acted this way so when it rained Diana’s behavior change the second she heard the rain. So childish yet despite trying to stop her, they her be childish for a little while. Diana always felt free when in the rain. And no one would stop her.
Notes:
If I stop posting randomly I apologize and I’m blaming school.
Chapter 10: Grief
Summary:
Cw: death
Vivian dealing with the loss of her sister.
Notes:
Honestly this is different that what I normally write since grief isn’t easy write and I was also grieving while writing this. I’m alright now don’t worry!
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Grief. Such a funny thing. It can hit someone so suddenly and in different ways. Sometimes it’s a painful reminder or sudden news. In this case it was sudden news. A day that had started so joyous ended in a sadness that can’t even be explained. Sadness didn’t even come close to how it felt. Though Vivian’s family were all experiencing a loss, she felt so horrible. It was a pain that she could never explain. Pain cling to her chest, almost making it hard to breathe. How was she supposed to deal with this feel? She isolated herself to attempt to “get over” how she felt. She couldn’t. The tears and sobs wouldn’t stop. She sobbed until she was gasping for breath and tears would no longer produce. The next morning the vibrant flowers had been replaced with red poppies, orchids, black roses and lilies. The day was filled with the suffocating feeling of grief. Her parents still remained their usual selves to some degree, almost ignoring their daughter’s death in hopes that it didn’t exist and that only made Vivian feel worse. It made feel awful for still feeling upset over her sister’s death. How could they act like this? And how could she somehow feel worse than she did before? She didn’t dare to show how she felt in front of them even if tear threatened to start again. She isolated herself just to try to grieve her own way. But it felt like a spiral. One thought lead to another and another and then she was a sobbing mess on her floor. Sobbing like a child wishing for their mother. She wanted the feeling to stop, for the crying to stop, for this all to be a nightmare that she could wake up from but she couldn’t. Her mind felt so empty yet so overwhelmed with emotions. It felt like all life had been drained from her body. She couldn’t do anything other lay in bed, overcome with grief.
Notes:
Again sorry if this was poorly written
Chapter 11: An aching heart
Summary:
Some random writing I found in my notes app labeled “for an oc” written at 2am. I’ve decided it’s for Eliza she’s based off of the enchanted rose from beauty and the beast.
Notes:
Sorry if this isn’t very good I didn’t edit it lol and sorry for being dead for a month I was depressed.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Why must Eros be so cruel?
My heart aches for love, an almost unknown feeling. It aches for the feeling of someone, anyone, loving me for who I am, as I am. Even though I feel as though I’m damaged beyond repair. Perhaps this is punishment for the years of longing for love while unsure of what I want or what love even feels like. And yet there’s this aching in my chest, craving the affection that’s always been just out of reach.
And perhaps Aphrodite wasn’t so kind to me. Perhaps I was cursed by her son Eros to never find love. My heart yearns for it and yet it feels like it’s a universe away. Why must my heart hurt like this? Why must I beg and plead to have the love I so desperately crave? Please, gods, tell me what have I done to be so repellent of love? Why must I hide away from the love my heart longs for? Why must I be so undeserving of love? Am I truly this unlovable?
Notes:
I was originally going to post this on the 14th but that felt mean. Also I just made a few more ocs (Eliza is one of them) because I’ve been off of my Adderal for a week because of the stupid adderal shortage so y’all might get some more works. No guarantees though lol
Chapter 12: Snow
Summary:
Eurydice experiences snow for the first time in a very long time.
Notes:
I’m writing this because it’s snowing for me rn and that never happens unless you go up to the mountains but anyways just wanted to write something cute ig.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
“IT’S SNOWING!” Eurydice shouted. She ran downstairs still in her pajamas as she stood in the doorway. “Woah” she muttered. Staring at the quite world, watching the snow fall gently across the night sky, and seeing how beautiful everything looked when covered in snow. She let out a small laugh through shivers. She closed the door and ran back upstairs to grab a jacket and shoes. When she stood in the doorway this time she sat on the doorstep, leaving the door slightly open. She sat staring at the falling snow, even holding her hands out to catch snowflakes and watching them melt at her finger tips, she giggled as she sat admiring the cold weather. The snow made the night feel even more quiet than normal, a strange thing but something she liked. She was like a child, experiencing snow for the first time in who knows how long. Soon she was for too cold to continue playing in the snow, so as she went inside she admired the scenery once more before closing the door and head back upstairs to her warm bed and Grim. Still happy about such a small moment.
Notes:
It’s 11:55pm as I’m typing this and I should be asleep but it’s whatever I’m just happy about the snow. I might make a part 2 to this. Idk yet
Chapter 13: An unfamiliar melody
Summary:
Malleus happens to hear someone singing an unfamiliar but beautiful song.
Notes:
Sorry if this isn’t very good I’m too lazy to edit this.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
On a lovely sunny day Malleus was walking around the school for no reason in particular other than to enjoy the beautiful weather. On his walk he passed by Ramshackle dorm and there was Eurydice, singing to herself as she walked outside. Singing a song that was unfamiliar to him, a melody that was more beautiful than anything he’d heard and far more unique, more than likely a song from her world. She must’ve been blessed with a unique gift of song for her voice was a siren’s song it drew him to her. And she danced along with the melody she sung. He couldn’t help but watch for he found her absolutely hypnotizing as she moved so gracefully and effortlessly all while maintaining such a steady voice. In this moment the world was her stage and he was the audience, even if he happened to be passing by. He marveled at the beauty of her voice, her dancing, her. Her long dark brown hair tied in a braid cascaded down her back, the sun making gold highlights when hit just right. She wasn’t wearing her usual uniform but instead it was replaced with a white shirt with flowing sleeves and a cream colored skirt that moved like water with her every movement. Her cheeks dusted a beautiful shade of pink, her grey eyes seemed so bright so full of life. Her movements began to slow as she finished her song he began to hum with her. When she finished the song she let out a deep sigh as she caught her breath turning towards where he was watching from a far. She looked but no one was there. Eurydice had heard someone hum along as she sung, saw someone watch her sing and dance out of the corner of her eye but she shook it off as her mind playing tricks on her except the familiar sound of someone humming. A voice that was so familiar to her yet she couldn’t place where she’d heard it before or who it was. At least someone enjoyed her performance for once.
Notes:
I made this while listening to Epic III from Hadestown on loop and came up with this. I just wrote Malleus in because it made sense in this situation. Also I’m going to be out of town this Wednesday so I’m either going to randomly post again before then or be dead for a while either way I felt like giving a heads up.
Chapter 14: Aching, mourning heart
Summary:
Ciel grieving the loss of his mother
Notes:
I’m back after 3 months! So here’s some angst I wrote!
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
The setting sun was usually a beautiful sight for Ciel. He loved watching the setting sun with his mother as she hummed a tune she always hummed for him as he sat in her arms without a care or worry in the world. But after her death it hurt to look at. The sky wasn’t as beautiful, wasn’t as vibrant and it felt lonely. He couldn’t even look at the setting sun anymore without feeling his heart aching for the comfort of his mother. He’d sit watching the sun set through tears with part of himself waiting for his mother to come a sit beside him despite knowing she was gone. He’d sit humming the same tune she did but was never able to finish it without crying. He’d want to say so much he had no one who’d listen. He’d want the comforting embrace of his mother’s arms as he cried only to end up hugging himself as he sobbed. He couldn’t bring himself to watch to setting sun anymore because every time he’d end up in tears and wishing for his mother or feeling like he was waiting for her even though he knew she wasn’t coming back. Wishing to be back in her arms, to hear her voice as she comforted him, and to see her one more time.
Notes:
Oh look I’m back after 3 months! I meant to post when I got back from my trip but I got busy with school (I graduated high school wooo!) and hopefully I’ll be able to post some more but that’s not a guarantee lol
Chapter 15: Walk out of the underworld
Summary:
A Greek mythology au with my ocs Eurydice and Octavius. This is in a way my own interpretation of Orpheus and Eurydice walking out of the underworld.
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
They knew the deal they’d made. “Don’t look to see if he’s behind you or he’ll go back to the underworld. Never to be with you again.” That was the deal they had made with the king of the underworld. As Eurydice and Octavius walked back out of the underworld, the happiness she once had to be reunited with her muse, her lover, had turned into a growing fear that Octavius wasn’t behind her, that she’d been tricked. They walked for seemingly forever Octavius occasionally reassuring Eurydice, a reminder that he’s behind her but she was too consumed in her own fear. They had almost made it out of the underworld, seeing the light of the world above, they could be together and live the life they had planned. But Eurydice too consumed by her fear turned to look behind her, fearing it was a trick and there was Octavius and for a moment time had stopped as they looked at each other. “No,” she whispered as she reached out to Octavius who was fleeting far from her reach. She was pulled from the underworld, away from him, never seeing him again. A poet who once sang of love had grown quiet with the love in her life gone. Only to miss him as days went by, never to sing of love for it had been taken from her never to be returned.
Notes:
Hi! I’m not dead! I’ve just been incredibly busy lately and haven’t been able to write a lot. I’m in community college rn and I’ve been busy with that, I have been busy with voice acting auditions for a side project I’m participating in, and I’m currently looking for a job. I’m still somehow many twst ocs but also three original stories but those haven’t gone too far yet so I doubt I’ll post anything about those soon. Either way I’m really sorry for the long author’s note but I felt the need to give an update. I doubt there will bit any updates for a while but who knows!
Chapter 16: Injured
Summary:
Theo taking care of Zelda
Theo is based off of Captain Hook and Zelda is based off of Flynn from Tangled. This piece is based off of this quote:
Theseus: Stop. Give me your hand. I am your friend.
Herakles: I fear to stain your clothes with blood.
Theseus: Stain them. I don’t care.
Idk how this quote is supposed to be read so I made it platonic.
Chapter Text
A nasty, deep slash, dripping blood as Zelda held her hand trying to bandage herself despite the pain she was in. “Stop that. Let me help.” Theo said as he held out his hand to take her injured one but she refused, holding her bloodied, injured hand close to herself. “No I’m fine. I can handle it.” She said as she shook her head. “And I don’t want to be a bother and I don’t want to mess up your clothes.” Zelda mumbled under her breath. Theo only shook his head with a soft chuckle “Clothes can be washed and I don’t care about my clothes. I care about you. Now let me see your hand.” He said as he held out his hand once more and this time, albeit hesitantly, Zelda held out her injured one, letting him look at the wound and letting him bandage her up. Such a delicate task that she wouldn’t have let just anyone do but she let Theo. The only person she could consider family, the only person who cared and treated her like family. The only person who didn’t make her feel as alone, made her feel wanted and cared for. A feeling that had long felt unfamiliar was now familiar.
Notes:
Hey! I’m posting this in my writing class and sorry I’ve been gone for like a while but school is a thing and life has been busy lately. My siblings got into a car accident over the weekend (everyone is okay!), my great aunt passed away, one of my dogs passed away two weeks ago, my therapist recommended I get assessed for autism and yeah. I’m good now (kinda)!
Chapter 17: Failure (word cut ups)
Summary:
Heavily edited word cut-ups from Valentino's story
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Never accomplishing anything meaningful, leaving him to wallow in his shame and regret
As his reputation foolishly crumbled in his hands
He wanted to be something, he thought he’d be something
The frustration and restlessness of his peers grew more and more as Valentino grew distant
Watching his efforts fail before his eyes
His isolation became constant
Nothing but his memories haunted him
Only to hide his torment behind closed doors
Changing enough to escape anguish and yet failing to succeed
He felt powerless in his own torment
Oh how overconfident he was, how strong he thought he was
He laughed maniacally at his anguish and torment through tears
To stop his foolish thoughts that flooded his mind
Only for his soul to bear the memories, the pain, and the torment
Never letting go of what he so desperately wants to forget.
Notes:
Wrote this in my writing class. The original is so much worse oh my god. Everyone I’ve shown this to found it poetic which wasn’t my intent mostly because I had no real idea for this I just started writing, saw an idea, and ran with it. I’m literally writing this note as I’m in my writing class lmao. Wrote, edited, and posted this at school lmao
School is still beating my ass and my mental health isn't great but that doesn't stop me from writing. (Currently waiting for an advising appointment at the time of writing this, gonna withdraw from a class knowing full well my mom will kill me.)
Chapter 18: Sudden grief
Summary:
Another piece talking about death and grief with Vivian again!
Chapter Text
Flowers of red, yellow, and white, carefully made into a bouquet, a crimson ribbon tied around the stems. What a beautiful bouquet it was, sitting in a vase by a casket. It was the most colorful thing on such a grim day. What a beautiful bouquet. Vivian thought as she held back tears. Each flower was carefully chosen and arranged by Vivian herself. It was the last bouquet she’d ever give to her sister, the last thing her sister would have. Her sister’s pale and lifeless body lay peacefully in the plush satin of the casket, forcing Vivian to face reality, the reality she never wanted to face. No, the nightmare she never wanted to face, a nightmare come to life.
With trembling hands and tears falling down her cheeks as she stifled her cries, she placed a single white lily upon her sister’s cold hands. The last flower she’d give her beloved sister.
And once the casket was shut and lowered into the ground, Vivian’s world crumbled around her as she cried for her sister.
Notes:
Flowers that were chosen were: Buttercups (memories of childhood), Marigolds (grief, despair, life and death), Lilies (life and death and Vivian’s sister’s favorite flower), red poppies (loss and deep sleep), and dark crimson rose (mourning). These meanings are all derived from Victorian Era flower language and I used three books from 1861, 1856-57, and 1881 and the meanings can vary from decade to decade and source to source but whatever. This was a free write for my Writing 102 class and I wrote it when some family shit was happening and yeah. I almost made myself cry with this one. Also sorry for disappearing (for the millionth time) college is a thing and so therefore I am suffering so yeah.
Bye!
Chapter 19: Walk out of the Underworld (new version)
Summary:
A redo of my old version of my Orpheus and Eurydice retelling/au but I wrote this one for my wrt 102 class lol
Notes:
Sorry for dying I was really burnt out from school but I'm fine now
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
The deal was made.
The king of the underworld let Eurydice have Octavius once more but on one condition. They could walk out of the underworld but Eurydice couldn’t look behind to be sure her love was truly with her and if she looked behind, Octavius would never be in Eurydice’s arms again, even in death. The two were confident that they could make out together, that Eurydice wouldn’t turn behind.
As they walked down the cold dim cave leading them out of the underworld, Eurydice was confident that she could make out and have her muse, her lover, in her arms once more. But as time dragged on, her confidence dwindled and her worry and doubt began to seep into her thoughts the closer they got to leaving the underworld. She could only hear her footsteps against the cave floor, she could only hear her own voice call out and have no response, she could hear every drip and drop from the cavern, and the faint sound of waves from the river Styx behind her. She couldn’t hear him and she couldn’t turn to look behind, making her doubt and fear began to consume her thoughts.
Was Octavius really behind her?
Was she tricked?
Was she all alone?
Did she lose him again?
Oh gods no. No.
Her thoughts became all-consuming as her mind raced with worry and fear with her every step, resisting the urge to look behind.
After what seemed to feel like an eternity she stepped out of the cave, the bright golden rays of the run hit her face as she walked out. She was out of the underworld, they could be together and live the life they had planned. Her worried, panicked thoughts subsided and she was overcome with joy. Without thinking, she turned to look at him, to hold him in her arms once more but only Octavius hadn’t made it out of the underworld.
She had looked behind.
There Octavius was, and for a moment time had stopped as they looked at each other. “No,” she whispered as she desperately reached out to Octavius who was pulled far from her reach. She was pulled from the underworld, away from him, never seeing him again. Only bearing the memory of the one last loving smile he gave her before was taken from her.
Grief and sorrow overcame her, her love was now gone once again.
A poet who once sang of love had grown quiet with the love in her life gone, replaced with a never-ending grief. Only to miss him as days went by, never to sing of love for it had been taken from her never to be returned.

I definitely didn't post this at 3am
