Work Text:
“Dami pang gustong sabihin,”
George looked around the crowded room as he walked around slowly.
“Ngunit wag na lang muna.”
He only came for one person, Clay. He never really knew anyone here other than Sap and Dream.
“Hintayin nalang ang hangin.”
The crowded room was filled with conversations he could barely hear, laughing loud enough to burst his eardrums, and soft slow music.
“Tangayin ang salita”
George’s eyes widened slightly as his eyes met someone’s dark blonde hair. He walked faster as he reached out his hand towards Clay’s shoulder.
“Wag mo akong sisihin.”
He tensed up as he saw someone in Clays arms as he got closer to his friend.
“Mahirap ang tumaya.”
He let down his arm slowly as he looked down in disappointment.
“Dagat ay sisisirin, kahit walang mapala.”
He shouldn’t be feeling this way. He knew it was wrong. He shouldn’t have a crush on his friend, but as much as he knew it was wrong, it also felt right.
“Pag nilahad ang damdamin,”
He has liked Clay for months now, he’s been there by his side whenever he needed him. He would surely pick his best friend over some girl. Right?
“𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘥𝘪 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘣𝘢𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯.”
If he confesses his feelings, admit the secrets, will 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦?
“Aminin ang mga lihim.”
George turned around slowly as he walked further into the crowd. His thoughts getting deeper and deeper. His mind getting foggier each thought that comes.
“𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘢 ‘𝘥𝘪 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘣𝘢𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯.“
“Please don’t look at me differently,” he muttered weakly. Thoughts fogging up in his head.
“Bakit laging ganito?”
Why was he always like this? He thought. He knows that crushing on his best friend was weird. Yet he fell for him anyways. He fell for the person who stayed right by his side, the person who listened to him, no matter how loud everyone was. The person who convinced him to stay.
He never wanted this to happen. He wanted to be friends with Clay from the start. But it developed into something more. His feelings grew just like the thoughts in his head. So many feelings and thoughts all at the same time.
