Izuku stood right beside Katsuki who was lying in blood. He looked at Katsuki with an empty look. "Kacchan, are you asleep right now? Open your eyes and stand up. Are you kidding me?! It's not funny, Kacchan. Hey, wake up! I said wake up!"
The voice of All For One was heard, "He died because of your fault. You are very slow to come here and see the results. Now you're weak and usele—"
"Shut up! Kacchan will wake up! You don't know anything. He will definitely wake up. Kacchan! Come on, open your eyes. We must defeat All For One together. Kacchan! Katsuki!" Izuku kept screaming and crying. Hoping Katsuki opened his eyes. But, it was all in vain. Meanwhile, All For One laughed seeing Izuku who lost his light of hope.
"Kacchan, please open your eyes. I haven't even had a chance to say that I like you, no, I love you. I love you, Kacchan. Since childhood, we have always been together and I admire you a lot. Please, don't leave me, Katsuki. Open your eyes, you idiot! Katsuki!" Izuku screamed like a mad man. However, nothing happened.
Izuku lifted Katsuki's cold body into his lap, then lean in to hugged Katsuki tightly. Izuku couldn't help but crying loudly. Izuku doesn't want Katsuki to leave him forever.
"Kacchan, please. Open your eyes. Don't go alone. I really need you. We haven't spoken normally yet. I didn't even thank you when you saved me from Shigaraki. Kacchan! Kacchan!"
A ray of light reached Izuku pulling him away from the place.
Izuku woke up and immediately sat on his bed, realizing that he had just had a nightmare. In fact, crying in his sleep. Tears still rolled down his cheeks. He wiped it with the shirt he was wearing, reached for his smartphone to check the time. The phone turned on and showed Izuku that it was two in the morning. He stood up, opened the bedroom door and walked towards Katsuki's room.
The image from his dream was still playing in his mind. He wanted to forget his nightmare. And, if it was just a nightmare, he really need to see Katsuki. Make sure he's really okay.
Arriving in front of Katsuki's door, he didn't care if Katsuki would explode his quirk. He just wanted to be near Katsuki. Izuku knocked on Katsuki's bedroom door while sobbing. One time. No answer. Twice. Still nothing. Three times. He heard footsteps, stopped in front of the door, and unlocked the door.
Katsuki was seen wearing a black tank top and the black trousers he usually wears. Katsuki's eyes were still half-open, indicating that he was awakened from his sleep by a knock on the door.
"What do you want to be at two in the morning and disturb my sle— Izuku, what's wrong? Hey, why are you crying?" Katsuki's eyes immediately opened wide upon seeing Izuku cried in front of him.
"Kac— chan, so— rry to dis— turb your sle— ep. I can't re— st if I didn't see yo—u." Izuku answered Katsuki while sobbing.
Katsuki didn't understand what Izuku was saying, however, he knew that there was something Izuku wanted to tell him. Katsuki gently pulled Izuku's hand into his room. Close and lock the bedroom door. Katsuki was still holding Izuku's hand carrying him to the bed and telling Izuku to sit down. Izuku complied. Katsuki sat next to Izuku's right.
Izuku was still crying. He wanted to stop, but the dream image was still playing. Made him scared and angry with himself. It was just a dream. He tried to forget it.
Katsuki on the other hand patiently waited for Izuku to calm down and placed his left hand on Izuku's back and stroked it gently. To calm Izuku down. It worked. The crying slowly stopped.
Katsuki asked with his soft voice, "Feel better?" Izuku nodded his head. Izuku felt he was calmer. Izuku raised his head to look at Katsuki. Look into his eyes directly.
Katsuki stared back at him. His heart ached seeing Izuku cry for some reason. Although according to Katsuki, Izuku is a crybaby. But, Katsuki had never seen Izuku cry like this.
Seeing his swollen eyes, Katsuki's right hand came up with a plan of its own, placing it on Izuku's left cheek. Gently caress his cheek. Izuku was leaning on Katsuki's touch.
"Izuku, why are you in front of my room crying? Is something bothering you?" Katsuki's voice broke the silence. Izuku stared straight at the floor. For a moment he forgot why he came to Katsuki's room. Izuku didn't know if he should tell Katsuki the truth or just lie. But, Izuku couldn't lie to him. Not after Izuku lied about the One For All quirk. For a moment he thought about telling the truth or lying. He chose to tell the truth.
"Kacchan, I'm sorry, I came because of a nightmare. I was afraid that it would come true so I came here. I didn't want that. Kacchan, that dream was scary. I couldn't help but stay in my room. Because, Kacchan—, Kacchan—" Izuku recalled his dream. Tears spilled out. He couldn't say it.
Katsuki used his right hand to lift Izuku's chin so he could see his face. Instinctively, Katsuki's finger made a way of its own and wiped the tears flowing from Izuku's face. While his left hand stroked Izuku's back again.
"Don't say it if you can't, Izuku. I won't force you." Katsuki tried to calm him back down. Izuku shook his head.
"I ha— ve to te— ll you, Kacc—han." Izuku inhaled and exhaled repeatedly. He turned his body 90° to the right facing Katsuki.
Because Izuku changed his sitting position, Katsuki moved his left hand to the bed and his right hand was still on Izuku's cheek. The instinct to calm Izuku made his pride go away.
Izuku gripped the bottom edge of Katsuki's tank top. Tears fell again but Izuku didn't sob.
"War that time. I saw you. You were lying on the ground. Blood. I came for you. Shouting for you to wake up. But, Kacchan, you didn't open your eyes. You didn't even breathing. All For One said why you didn't wake up, it was all because of me. I was too slow.
I can not do anything. I can only scream out your name. All For One even laughed at me. I'm scared, Kacchan. Afraid that I won't be able to see you again. Can't be a hero with you. I can't, Kacchan. Please don't leave me alone. I want to be with Kacchan. I don't want Kacchan to go. I love Kacchan. Please don't go."
Izuku begged. His tears were flowing again. He expresses his feelings. Though he had no plans for it. His subconscious took over to just say it. And he himself did not correct it. Because, he wanted to be honest with Katsuki. Izuku looked away from Katsuki with his wet cheeks and puffy eyes. However, he didn't push Katsuki's hand away which was still on his cheek.
Katsuki was very surprised to hear that. Didn't expect it because he was the one who made Izuku have nightmares. And, more importantly, Izuku loves him! Katsuki felt his face turn red. He didn't expect Izuku to fall in love after what he had done to Izuku. He admitted, he used to be too much of a jerk to Izuku. Until telling Izuku to 'kill himself by jumping to get a quirk'. But, now, Katsuki was trying to change. And, the fact that they love each other, yes, Katsuki also loves Izuku, makes him eager to change his character. Although not completely.
Return to remember the rest of Izuku's explanation. Izuku got a dream when he was 'died'. If, Katsuki is in the same situation with what is in the Izuku dream. Then, seeing Izuku lying lifeless. Katsuki will definitely act the same as Izuku. He won't be able to accept reality.
Katsuki came closer to Izuku and hugged him tightly, not wanting to let Izuku go. Izuku returned the hug and cried in Katsuki's embrace.
"Shh, shh. Izuku, look, I'm fine. It was just a nightmare, Izuku. You didn't do anything wrong. You'll always see me. We'll be a heroes together! Don't worry. You won't even be able to turn your face away from me. I love you too, Izuku. I will never leave you. Never! You are stuck with me forever. I know I already have apologized to you, but, forgive me in the past. I regretting all of my words and actions towards you. I love you, Izuku." Katsuki said while cry softly on the hugs. He wanted to connect with Izuku. For all the time he wasted leaving Izuku behind. He won't do that again. Izuku will run beside him.
Izuku who heard that Katsuki returned his love. He's happy. Very happy. He had never felt this happiness before. Getting a quirk does make him happy, but if his love is reciprocated. For the sake of All Might, Izuku was speechless. Izuku tightened his embrace.
"I've forgiven you, Kacchan. I can't wait to be a hero together with Kacchan. I can't wait for Kacchan to take care of me. Thank you for being there for me, Kacchan. I love you too."
Katsuki and Izuku smiled. Even though they didn't meet eyes, they knew what they were thinking. They feel calm. They belong to each other.
Katsuki gently pulled Izuku to lie down with him on the bed. Two childhood friends or we can say the love birds are hugging each other. Sleep in a comfortable position. They will always be together. No matter the circumstances and any problems. They always solve it themselves. This is the beauty of their relationship.
