Lucid Dreaming

Summary:

a story within the universe where we follow her, while she dreams, while she exists and creates, while she walks in dreams and avoids the stranger.

Chapter Text

She felt safe in her dreams. Something to look for, when the day comes to an end and your brain needs a rest when it is recovering from all that is your existence in the waking world.
During the day she looked at the trees trying to find faces in them, looking out for the shapes and patterns of the wind moving the leaves, trying to admire nature when it was as alive as it could be. Losing herself in the moment she fantasised about the threads that were left from her imagination the night before, those small glimpses of what her brain could wrasp from the lands of impossibility, and in the middle of it there he was. The stranger. A man, tall and languido her grandmother would say and she agreed, even if it was a little rude, for the man was thin and pale and with an aura that exuded tiredness.
She never talked to him, not that she could remember, but there was something that called her to him, his presence, not an amazing figure being highlighted among all of the wonders of dreams, but an absence of presence that made him the focal point of each scenery she encountered him in. A black shadow that contrasted the rich colours and life in the dreaming, a darkness that moved through this world, not against it, it was the darkness of space, ever encompassing and terrifying, but full of possibilities. He was there and she saw him because he didn’t want to blend in, somehow every time she crossed the stranger her mind couldn’t help but focus on him and find solace in this land of dreams.
