Chester and Hester have a reputation for being cheap.

Chester loved operating the rides. It meant he got to handle the money himself. 

Hester loved operating the game booths for the same reason. 

They had a reputation for being cheap. They didn’t care. 

There was a reason they hired relatives to work the rides, shops, booths - anything they couldn’t. And if they weren’t related to the workers - yes they were.

It wasn’t that they were bad people. 

They just liked money. 

The Dino Institute scientists liked money too. But in a different way. 

And they liked and sometimes helped the Dino Institute scientists. 

It was like a weird cycle.

Notes:

Yes, Chester and Hester from Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama would do anything to make a buck - or save a buck. Can’t imagine that goes down well with the Dino Institute next door. That said, they have been known to help out the Dino Institute, even if they mostly do profit of them.
