“C’mon! You’re gonna love this McLean.” Leo grinned as he grabbed Piper’s hand and pulled her through the hallway and up the hidden staircase to the roof. The Native American girl rolled her eyes at him, following behind him as he pushed the door open.
The rooftop was empty, except for the stuff Leo had snuck up during his spare period - fairy lights, two bean bag chairs from the Walmart two blocks away, as well as Piper’s favourite blanket which was honeysuckle pink and fuzzy on the inside. Piper gasped beside him.
“What the….” Her words trailed off as she turned to Leo. “You did that for me?” He looked at her, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. “Yeah. You uh, you mentioned wanting to see the stars like you used to in your grandpa’s backyard, and well… this obviously isn’t that but it’s at least something?” Piper stared at him for a second before throwing her arms around him. “Oh my god, I love you Valdez.”
Leo’s heart fluttered. “Love you too McLean. Cmon. I have Thor and Captain America plus that gross vegan popcorn brand you love.” Piper punched his arm before grinning at him.
“You’re such an idiot.” She said and Leo smirked before leaning into her. “And you love it.” He looked down at her lips, before looking at her eyes and the way they slightly widened. “Maybe I do.” She whispered in response and Leo hummed.
He flashed Piper a grin and she rolled her eyes before grabbing his face and kissing him.
