blood repays blood

Summary:

Orobashi's first mandate as the new god of Enkanomiya might seem ruthless, but totally justified.

Notes:

Title from one of Ningguang in-game combat lines.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

The eventual truth of the Sunchildren reign is way too shocking than what Orobashi had anticipated when he agreed to end the regime at the start.

The propaganda of a false god, that is Dainichi Mikoshi, the manipulation of naive children as a puppet leader, and the last one that almost drive Orobashi to puke : the incineration of each said children before they realize they had been manipulated all this time.

How could the nobles, the humans, be this cruel and heartless? For what? For their own greed? For their own sick satisfaction? And they don't even have a single pinch of remorse after the horrible deeds they committed!

How disgusting. Truly, truly disgusting. What a horrifying monsters they are!

Even if all Enkanomiya people already knew the truth from the beginning, that doesn't stop them from projecting their endless hatred and grudge onto the children, the poor puppet leaders. It can't and will never be changed, alas.

This is unfair.

Why the reality of Teyvat always work like this? That the actual innocents suffered greatly while the vile, corrupt ones always get away with ease?

It's unfair!

It's so unfair, he can't accept it!

After all of this, after all of their unforgivable crimes and sins.

So, in the end, without any further hesitation, Orobashi decides to give the poor children a favor, the least he could do to avenge their suffering.

His eyes, burning with tranquil fury, bore to each of the kneeling nobles in shackles.

"Feed each of them to the Vishaps," he orders. "Alive."

Life imprisonment isn't enough. It would never be enough to torture them for their heinous sins all this time.

"Make sure when one is torn apart body and bones, the rest of them watch till the end. On and on till the last one."

If they would so casually incinerate the children to dead, then Orobashi would gladly give them same amount of pain.

The high general salutes. "As your command, Your Majesty."

"Start the punishment at this instance."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Watching as the disgusting nobles are wrecked in fear and panic, cowardly begging and screaming to be given a second chance or leniency, that sparks a little relief and joy in his heart.

They deserve it.

They totally deserve it.

Even if they died eventually,

Orobashi wishes Hell truly existed in Teyvat, so they can suffer for the rest of their soul's eternal existence.

Notes:

*sigh*

Hoyo and their unhealthy habit of letting shitty grand-scale human manipulators goes unpunished on-screen or not even mentioned being punished in the end.

I already can sense they gonna do the same to the fucking Akademiya Sages ಠ︵ಠ
